This week can have us frolicking in the summer fun, oblivious to the mundane world, except for one impinging moment that could briefly bring the party down.
The week begins with Independence Day in the US, the last day of the long holiday weekend and the day of the Cancer New Moon which influences the next two weeks.
The early part of the week can be highly pleasant, especially if we are able to be off the track, enjoying ourselves and participating in various sports activities or different social engagements. We may feel more energized at the beginning of the week and looking to put our personal imprint on our involvements.
We may feel as though everything is divinely guided and operating in our favor. Such a temperament could be intoxicating, but like intoxication we might wake up on Thursday with something of a hangover or a nasty whack to the side of our head.
Thursday could be one intense day, a day when we might better choose to let the phone calls go to voicemail and we decide to be out of Dodge, whether literally or figuratively. Thursday can be one of those days when it is best that no one be at home or else at home under the covers.
Despite the intensity of Thursday, this day is but a blip or a major hurdle to the rest of what seems a highly pleasant week.
The latter part of the week and the weekend seem far more upbeat. The dust has settled and whatever blowouts might have gone on Thursday, we are feeling more inspired, encouraged and confident.
The weekend could be a good time to attend to necessary errands and then have some special time with that special someone, or special people, in our lives.
Monday, July 4th – Happy Birthday USA – Mercury, Neptune, Cancer New Moon, Sun, Pluto, Jupiter, Venus. Monday is Independence Day in the US and the last day of the long summer holiday weekend. Today is also the day of the Cancer New Moon as the Moon conjuncts the Sun. This New Moon influences the next two weeks during the waxing Moon up to the Full Moon on the 19th. The Cancer Moon today conjuncts Mercury, the Sun and Venus. The Moon trines Neptune, the Moon opposes Pluto and the Moon sextiles Jupiter. This Monday can be a day when we gather with family and friends in celebration of… whatever. There are fireworks today, but fireworks in the sky rather than the liable fireworks in our interactions this coming Thursday. We are likely to be taking a ‘time out’ today, putting our business on the back burner and just enjoying the comforts of home and family. This is a day when we can free ourselves from some of our obligations and tasks at hand. We might spend some time straightening and tidying up, but the main gist of this day is enjoying the company of others.
Tuesday, July 5th – On a Different Foot – Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Neptune. Tuesday begins with the Cancer Moon trine Mars and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo later today. Mercury trines Neptune. We may be gung-ho as we start the day, only to find some sort of monkey wrench thrown into the spokes of our plans. Although we might have to shift, change and adapt to changing circumstance, this is a day for us to trust our instincts as to which way to go. Our intuitive sense is heightened and we might have an inner knowing as to how we can best project our self. We might start this day one way but find that we are altering our trajectory due to unexpected situations arising. The second half of this day provides a greater impetus to our creativity and the desire to express ourselves in an intriguing and appealing manner. If we do not force things and get out of our own way, we could discover that we are headed for smooth sailing with few waves to knock us off an unintended and unexpected course. Let’s trust in the universe and in our own willingness to be co-creators of our destiny rather than trying to force things to our will.
Wednesday, July 6th – All Together Now – Saturn, Venus, Mars, Sun, Mercury. Drawing upon yesterday’s affirmations from the universe, this Wednesday allows us to accomplish a great deal. We may seem far more together today with a drive, passion and power of persuasion that can win advocates to our cause and ease the forward movement of our ambitions. The Leo Moon trines Saturn, Venus trines Mars and the Sun conjuncts Mercury. This Wednesday can be a highly productive day, and it would be wise to utilize Tuesday and Wednesday to get as much done as possible, for tomorrow, Thursday, could prove devilish. If we are looking to expand our activities, we can do so in a well-structured, methodical manner and convince other people of the wisdom of our ways. Everything we do today is well modulated. We might have a tendency to hold our cards close to our chest, but today is a day to open up to the possibilities and the assistance from someone who can advance our interests.
Thursday, July 7th – No One’s Home – Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Pluto, Venus, Sun. To a large degree, things may have gone swimmingly for much of this week. We come to Thursday and suddenly the serene times of summer can turn into the wild sirens of mayhem. This Thursday could prove to be one intense day. The Leo Moon squares Mars and the Moon trines Uranus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for ten and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo late in the day. If those were the only energy configurations for this Thursday, then the day could be quite pleasant. But those are not the only energy configurations on this Thursday. We also experience both Mercury and the Sun opposed Pluto, and Venus square Uranus. Things that have been simmering below the surface could boil to the top and provide the catalyst for a rather explosive day. We could be feeling uncomfortable in our own skin and looking for someone or some thing to blame for our own level of discontent. Discussions can turn into arguments. People can see fault in any little thing and even look for an issue to raise in order to diminish or demean someone else. This Thursday could be a day when it might be better to stay at home, not answer the phone and even pull the covers over our head. The refrain of ‘no one’s home’ and maintaining our solitude may keep us out of harm’s way. If we choose to venture out into the world today, it would be wise for us to avoid knee-jerk reactions or immediate responses. Things can be like a hair-trigger with even the slightest provocation igniting a firestorm. This is one of those days when it is essential that we embrace the sentiment of Hill Street Blues: ‘Let’s be careful out there’.
Friday, July 8th – Cleaning Up the Mess – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Jupiter. Friday has the Virgo Moon creating a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Saturn and the Moon opposes Neptune. Mercury sextiles Jupiter. This Friday could have us waking up to a long list of things to deal with. If Thursday proved to be an Armageddon of sorts, whereby the intensity of the energies got the better of us and we either triggered or were affected by some intense conversations or brutal actions, this Friday may require that we clean up the messes caused by yesterday’s explosions / implosions. We might not be totally aware as to what we have to do, only know that we have some reparations to address. It would be wise for us to make our ‘to do’ list before we start off on this day, for otherwise we could wind up running around in circles without accomplishing much. We might have our nose to the grindstone today, trying to tie up loose ends and clear the decks before the weekend. If we don’t get caught up in the minutiae or take on a self-flagellating attitude, we could take on a bemused disposition at the foibles of humanity and even at how we might have gotten caught up in and been carried away by yesterday’s energies rather than maintaining a self-disciplined composure. Even if we have to eat some crow on this Friday, we could be amused by our own triggered reactions. This is a day when we can do what needs to get done, smooth over any major problems and make amends for acting out.
Saturday, July 9th – Cleaning Up – Pluto, Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus. Although we often look to the weekends, and especially summer weekends, as times to get off the track, leave our mundane lives behind and engage the adventure of ‘free time’, this Saturday could have us in gear, cleaning up, sorting through and attending to the varied details of our lives. The Virgo Moon today conjuncts Jupiter, trines Pluto, sextiles Mars in Scorpio and sextiles the Cancer-transiting planets of the Sun, Mercury and Venus. We may be fixing up our home environment, gathering with family and focusing on what’s truly important for our future. We can achieve a lot on this Saturday. We are likely to be highly productive and expeditious in all that we do today. We may have a lot going on today but we seem accomplished in all that we do. This Saturday is a good day to line our ducks up in a row and deal with each one in sequential order. Our home could be the center of a lot of activity. If we are out of town traveling, we can cover a great deal of ground in our activities and engage many of our different interests.
Sunday, July 10th – Confident and Expressive – Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars. Sunday has the Moon moving into Libra. The Sun sextiles Jupiter and Mercury trines Mars. While Thursday could have been a blow up or blow out type of day; Friday, Saturday and especially Sunday are days when we are feeling more upbeat, better prepared to take care of what needs to get done and confident about our abilities and our intended goals. Sunday allows us to reinvigorate ourselves. We may be spreading our wings, seeking to engage more activities than we have participated in and feeling enthusiastic and optimistic about our lives. An attitude of gratitude for the many blessings in our lives could prove contagious and we might find ourselves a good cheerleader for someone who feels lost on their pathway. Our discussions today can be comforting and inspiring. No matter when we might have scraped our knees, we are able to recount that bad times don’t last, that the cycles of life provide times of riding the waves and other times of body slams but always with the intention of getting back on the crest of the wave. Times spent with that special someone today can be like a Mutual Admiration Society whereby we encourage their plans and they appreciate our friendship. Even if we got body slammed on Thursday, this latter part of the week and the weekend see Thursday’s incidents as but a blip on the screen and not a kibosh to our plans or our abilities.
