This week is the first week of the summer season, a time geared for recreation and fun activities.
Before we fully engage the good times of summer fun, we might hit some bumps in the road and potholes that could throw us off course this week and at different times of the summer.
This week might start off with a great deal of intensity that could prove confusing, nerve-wracking and exhausting. The Sagittarius Full Moon on Monday heightens the Mutable Sign Grand Cross just before the Summer Solstice on the same day as the Sun exits Gemini to enter Cancer and begin the summer season.
Relationships could be dicey especially if we feel we are not getting the proper attention or consideration from the other person. We do have to watch for misunderstandings, miscommunications and dredging up past issues that are best left alone.
Whether we are taking off on a summer vacation or staying around home base, our responsibilities and obligations can demand our attention in the early part of the week. We can accomplish a fair amount on Monday and Tuesday if we avoid being distracted.
The mid-part of the week can have us considering options and alternatives with a desire to include as much as possible to our activities. It’s summer, and we want to grab for all the gusto.
The latter part of the week and the weekend would be a good time to escape and engage indulgences. An upbeat attitude with a curious disposition could lead to some interesting encounters.
Monday, June 20th – Here Comes Summer – Full Moon, Sun, Venus, Mercury T-Square, Saturn, Neptune, Summer Solstice, Sun Cancer. Monday could prove one intense day. There are a lot of varied energy configurations going on today. The day begins with the Sagittarius Full Moon as the Moon opposes the Sun. The Moon then moves into Capricorn where today the Moon opposes Venus. Mercury in Gemini triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with Mercury opposed Saturn and Mercury square Neptune today. The Sun exits Gemini to enter Cancer at the time of the Summer Solstice and the official beginning of the summer season. We could be all over the place today with our emotions heightened but with a lack of clarity evident in our discussions and in our actions. We might be like a dog chasing its tail, going around in circles, exhausting ourselves and not getting much accomplished. This is a day for us to watch our tongue, for we could say something without thinking it through. We need to rein ourselves in and keep from being obstreperous and overbearing. We may feel the burst of summer upon us, ready to embark on new trajectories, but it would be wise to remember that today imprints the season with high sensitivity and a tendency to juggle any number of things with a liability of starting things up, then shifting our attention elsewhere and little follow through on any of our engagements.
Tuesday, June 21st – Prioritizing and Focusing – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto. Although yesterday’s somewhat dysfunctional qualities can run through the summer season, we shall get breaks from the razzamatazz with the ability to focus and attend to our goals and advance our ambitions. Tuesday allows us to get our house in order and be highly effective in whatever we pursue. The Moon in Capricorn today sextiles Neptune, the Moon trines Jupiter and the Moon conjuncts Pluto. We can draw upon our foresight and intuition to prioritize, develop a best practices approach and focus on the truly meaningful. This is a day when we can take care of details, concentrate on our plans and wrap everything in a pretty package. We might decide to shop and get things for a personal makeover or to fix up our home. We are looking at operating at our optimum and can do so by blending our intuitive sense with practical reasoning. The combination allows us to be guided as to what to do first, accomplish what needs to be done and then present ourselves in an appealing manner. This Tuesday could prove to be the most productive day of this week.
Wednesday, June 22nd – Too Much of a Good Thing – Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Jupiter. Yesterday may have had us operating on all cylinders, and we could get carried away by how accomplished we were. We might intend to continue in this vein of being as highly effective and productive as we may have been yesterday. Nice concept, but we have to be wary of distractions and getting a big head. Wednesday begins with the Capricorn Moon sextile Mars and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for close to twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius later in the day. Mercury squares Jupiter. We can start the day with good intentions, but various distractions might divert our attention and have us considering alternate plans rather than having our nose to the grindstone. Based upon yesterday’s energies when things may have come together easily as though we were gliding on greased wheels, we could assume that we can take on ever more on this Wednesday. And there lies a problem. We might be legends in our own mind with an optimism and confidence that border on overconfidence. With a desire to do more, we might cut corners, gloss over details and make a mess of things for ourselves. We may want to get matters resolved but let’s not hurry in trying to do so. It would be far better to wait for a more propitious time to achieve some of our goals when we are more attentive to what is going on, willing to take things step by step rather than trying to do it all in one fell swoop.
Thursday, June 23rd – Checking Arrangements – Saturn. Thursday has the Aquarius Moon sextile Saturn. If we have made plans for travel or get-togethers, we might want to check the details to be certain that everything is in order. This is a day when we might consider our future plans and put some structure behind some of our prospects. If we have new projects we wish to launch, we can devise the strategy and the format by which to realize our plans. This is a good day to draw upon trusted resources, wise confidantes who can go over our blueprints, critique them and give us solid advice as to what to do and how to do it. Sometimes we prefer to go it alone, especially when initiating activities. We want the autonomy, the freedom of movement and the ability to put our own individual imprint on the projects we are launching. That’s all well and good, but getting suggestions from someone we trust can provide an objective, detached perspective by which we can learn whether we are on the right track or if we are being seduced by our own desires.
Friday, June 24th – Elvis Has Left the Building – Mercury, Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday begins with the Aquarius Moon trine Mercury, the Moon square Mars and the Moon sextile Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eleven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces late in the day. We may have all sorts of thoughts in mind for our day’s activities as we start this Friday. The mind may be willing, but the body and circumstances might not be able to operate as smoothly and quickly as the abstract concepts in our mind. This is the first Friday of the summer, and for many of us summer offers a three-day weekend with us leaving our mundane routine early on Friday in order to fully engage weekend fun. Happy Friday, for each of us might decide to leave the building early to travel out of town or just take extra time for ourselves. We might not accomplish everything we want to accomplish, but it would be far better to postpone matters than do a shoddy job whereby our efforts are perfunctory and the results unsatisfactory. The second half of this Friday calls for a breakaway into something spontaneous, even impulsive — a lively diversion from our ordinary.
Saturday, June 25th – Extracting Us From the Comforts – Sun, Venus, Saturn, Neptune. Saturday has the Pisces Moon trine the Sun and Venus both in Cancer, the Moon square Saturn and the Moon conjunct Neptune. If we could take the time to just stay at home, relaxing and enjoying the comforts of our personal sanctuary, that might be our preference on this Saturday. We are not looking to do much on this Saturday, but commitments could impede our natural inclinations. We might have some evening plans that demand our involvements. If we have taken the time to recharge our batteries earlier in the day, then we can attend to our scheduled activities later in the day without a great deal of resentment or feeling that we are being forced to do something we would rather not do. We do have to watch for indulgences Saturday evening. We might eat too much, drink too much and land ourselves in an emotional whipsaw. This is a day for quiet reveries broken later in the day by responsibilities. Let’s avoid the mood swings between soft pleasures early in the day to spiteful inconveniences later in the day.
Sunday, June 26th – All This and More – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Pluto, Mars, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus. Sunday has the Pisces Moon sextile Pluto and the Moon trine Mars. The Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-square as the Moon opposes Jupiter and the Moon squares Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eleven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries tomorrow morning. Jupiter trines Pluto, and Mercury sextiles Uranus. We may put a lot on our plate on this Sunday, but we can take care of everything that we take on and even more. Our energy might be ramped up. By prioritizing our activities, we could plow through any number of things today. Not only can we be effective and expeditious. We might also get some interesting insights, hear unexpected news and bolster our can-do attitude. Distractions might be appealing today, but it would be wise to deal with the most important matters first and then engage unexpected developments. We can be going a mile a minute today and may feel guided as to what to do and in what order. As the day progresses, we might be privy to a dash of magic and a dose of mini-miracles. We just need to be open to the unexpected and available for exciting surprises.
