April 4th – 10th, 2016

This week could be a highly active week and a week when we want to show off our talents and our capabilities, be on center stage and engage new pursuits.

The week begins with a strong dose of “Spring fever”. We may be lolling about in our own reveries, enjoying side trips into our happy place and avoiding all negative input. Not that there won’t be moments of incoming, but we might prefer tiptoeing through the tulips despite the minefields that we can be traversing.

There may be times when we might feel tinges of discomfort, uncomfortable in our own skin. Such times may be indications of the changes we have gone through internally, changes that we are now seeking to acknowledge and externalize.

Even if we feel as though we are but victims to conditions and merely reacting to circumstance, any passivity gives way as we come into the mid-week and especially after the Aries New Moon on Thursday.

The early part of this week may be slow going with a sense of trudging through quicksand, but the second half of the week can feel as if the starting gate has opened and we are fast on our way. The way might not be the track we anticipated but instead could be some interesting and exciting trajectories. We just have to be open to the unanticipated and unexpected and follow our heart.

The Aries New Moon is within orb of a conjunction with Uranus and within orb of a trine to Saturn. Our creative abilities may be at a high pitch with us finding that things are neatly falling into place. Not only is magic in the air. We could experience various situations in which we can shine. Prospects might be cascading virtually out of nowhere. We just need to recognize that the paradigm shift of asequential reality is in operation and for us to be receptive to the wondrous surprises that may come our way. And to add to the wonder of this Thursday, this New Moon imprint influences the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 22nd.

Much of these two weeks from the April New Moon to the April Full Moon are a time for us to have our antennae up, work with peripheral vision and be open to the possibilities, even the seemingly impossible. We may feel as though we have stepped into a wonderland, a dimension where things flow freely and unexpectedly and allow us greater autonomy and freedom of movement.

As we come towards the end of the week and early on the weekend, we can fashion our new thrust of energy in pragmatic and practical ways to create the right structure and format to realize our goals. Personal makeovers, fix-ups around our home can all be part of the start of our weekend.

We could become so enamored by how well things are fitting neatly into place that we take on more and more, all with the assumption that we can handle whatever we choose to engage. And that could be a huge mistake. The weekend ends with us back to juggling but with a liability to overload.

Let’s keep in mind that life asks us repeatedly to maintain balance, no matter the whipsaws of moods or circumstance, and for us to continually gauge and find that even mean despite the increased volatility of these times.

Monday, April 4th – If Only – Mars, Neptune. Monday starts the week with the Moon in Pisces and the Moon today square Mars and the Moon conjunct Neptune. This can be a highly moody day, a day when our emotions are leading us into expanding our interests and our involvements. We might assume the grass being greener anywhere other than where we are. There can be wistfulness, a certain longing today for a time, space, dimension other than where we are. We might far prefer to stretch our wings, participate in activities foreign to our experience and a sense that things could be better ‘if only…’. This is a day when we need to keep a tight rein on our emotions, for we could go through various mood swings to the point of embracing a Walter Mitty-like quality, where we see ourselves highly accomplished and fully effective in some fantasy or another but with little connection to our reality. If we want to spend the day in our imaginary world, that might be all well and dandy, just as long as our dreams don’t morph into nightmares. We might have a strong dose of ‘Spring fever’ today, so let’s enjoy our reveries and not place heavy expectations on ourselves. It would be wise to keep in mind that we are in a waning Moon period, consciously or subconsciously awaiting the Aries New Moon on Thursday.

Tuesday, April 5th – Restless Legs – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Venus Aries, Mercury Taurus. Our sleep state might be interrupted by restlessness. The very early morning hours of this Tuesday has the Pisces Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Jupiter and the Moon square Saturn. We might have a great deal on our mind, as various thoughts cascade through our dream state or we consider all the things that we need to do. Once we are up and about, the Moon sextiles Pluto. If we can conceive of a well-considered ‘to do’ list, we can take care of any number of things. The main thing is to prioritize and not feel overwhelmed by our schedule. There is a great deal of movement on this Tuesday. After the Moon sextiles Pluto, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over twenty hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early Wednesday morning. The Sun trines Saturn today, and we might rely upon the ‘tried and true’. Experience is a great teacher but let’s keep in mind that the lessons learned might have been for a particular period and not necessarily applicable to our future. With our schedule in place, we can achieve a great deal so long as our attention is not diverted or our focus distracted. There are two major energy shifts today — Mercury exits Aries to enter Taurus and Venus exits Pisces to enter Aries. The Aries Stellium continues with Mercury leaving it to be replaced by Venus who joins the Sun and Uranus in Aries. We may be less impetuous in our ideas and in our discussions but relationships could suffer as we become more self-absorbed. While we may be especially interested in doing our own thing, we are also more willing to plan things out before forging ahead.

Wednesday, April 6th – Narcissus and Me – Venus, Mars, Sun, Pluto. Wednesday has the Aries Moon conjunct Venus and the Moon trine Mars. We are on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. The Sun squares Pluto today. This Wednesday is a day for self-love. We may feel like an island unto ourselves with a definite willingness to stand out rather than just fit in. We are less interested in how our actions impact other people and more concerned about doing what we want to do the way we want to do it. We do have to watch that such self-affirmation doesn’t run afoul of certain standards or accepted behavior, for there could be a liability for us to be shooting ourselves in our own foot and being our own worst enemy. None of us like restrictions, but there are always ways to break free of confining situations without bringing down the house. Let’s keep in mind tai chi moves and the need during these times of flexibility and adaptability. Being obstreperous could only create a similar reaction — obstruction to our plans and even unbending impediments to our goals. We can focus on our best characteristics, appreciate all that we have to offer but also recognize that there may be some sharp edges that might need gentle filing down. This is a good time for us to trim the sails, streamline operations and rid ourselves of things that may be holding us back.

Thursday, April 7th – The Greatest Opportunities to Be – Saturn, Pluto, Aries New Moon, Sun, Uranus. Thursday has the Moon trine Saturn and the Moon square Pluto. Today is the day of the Aries New Moon with the Moon conjunct the Sun and the Moon conjunct Uranus. With the Aries New Moon in the second decanate of Aries, the Leo decanate, our creative abilities may be at a high pitch with us finding that things are neatly falling into place. Not only is magic in the air. We could experience various situations in which we can shine. Prospects might be cascading virtually out of nowhere. We just need to recognize that the paradigm shift of asequential reality is in operation and be receptive to the wondrous surprises that may come our way. And to add to the wonder of this day, this New Moon imprint influences the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 22nd. We can draw upon our expertise developed from experience, but we also need to avoid putting blinders on and limiting our vision. This is a day for us to be open to the possibilities, even the seemingly impossible, for this is one of those days when we have the greatest opportunity to be, to blossom and to bloom.

Friday, April 8th – Spirit into Action – Mercury, Neptune. We might have gotten a thrust of energy yesterday, as if the universe pinned a gold medal on us for being — our own individual self. Feeling good about life and feeling good about our own ways of living, we can use this Friday for some seed planting. We might have come up with or been introduced to some wonderful suggestions for how we can express our creative talents. This Friday allows us to take those suggestions, feelings and ideas and put them into action. Friday has the Moon in Taurus with the Moon today conjunct Mercury and the Moon sextile Neptune. As if guided by an inner knowing, we can devise the right format and structure to implement our plans. Any impetuosity can die down with us now tending to take things step-by-step. This is a day when we can polish our image, devise a well-considered plan of action and move things forward. Today and tomorrow allow us to accomplish a great deal. We might not be going as quickly as we have been. We might be far more considerate of the process from abstraction through implementation to manifestation. And we could find ourselves methodically putting all the right pieces in place. If we would step back and consider a best practices approach today, we might be like the tortoise in Aesop’s Fable of the tortoise and the hare. Through foresight and planning, we can successfully reach our goals.

Saturday, April 9th – Free to Be – Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Uranus. After what could have been a productive and effective Friday, Saturday begins on a similar note. Today, the Taurus Moon triggers the Earth Grand Trine as the Moon trines Jupiter in Virgo and the Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over twenty hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini early on Sunday. The Sun conjuncts Uranus today. Saturday allows us to put finishing touches on projects and complete some of our seed planting we might have begun yesterday. This is a day when we can present ourselves in a most together manner, with all the right moves and with an ease of expression that can be appealing. We might consider a personal makeover today or find ourselves fixing up things around our home or with our routine matters. We may not be swift of foot today, but our time management skills may be beyond reproach. Friday and Saturday this week are days when we can devise our strategy, implement our plans and find things fitting neatly into place. The energy may die down as the day progresses, but the latter part of the day offers us the opportunity to act on any whim and explore new facets of our own sense of self. First the productivity, then the freedom to be seems to be the characteristic of this Saturday.

Sunday, April 10th – Back on the Chain Gang – Venus, Lunar T-Square, Mars, Neptune. One thing of which we might all be aware is the intense volatility of these times. Things can change in a nanosecond. One moment we might be exuberant and enthusiastic, the next moment we can be down in the dumps and despairing of our circumstance. These times are like surfing a tsunami-wave. We can ride the crest, exhilarant by our mastery and the ‘oneness’ of ourselves with the wave. Other times, we might feel slammed by conditions with us wiping out and sensing ourselves as but a victim of circumstance. The last two days might have felt like our riding the crest with everything coming together and with us feeling that we were proceeding like a master surfer. Sunday is a different cat. The Moon moves into Gemini where today the Moon sextiles Venus and the Moon triggers the Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Mars and the Moon square Neptune. As if egged on by the successes of these past two days, we could feel omnipotent and invincible with a liability to taking on ever more and engaging in ever more and trying to do ever more. All of which could prove to be more than we can handle. We could be all over the place on this Sunday but without the same concentration or effectiveness that we might have had over the past two days when we were likely to have taken things slowly and methodically. Sunday asks, even demands, that we slow things back down. Otherwise, we might find that we are all over the place with the ultimate sense of us being like a dog chasing its tail, going around in circles but getting virtually nowhere. Today demands that we have firm hands on the reins and use it for braking action to prevent us going off on a wild goose chase. There may a great deal of talk today, some of which may make no sense [aka nonsense]. ‘Time outs’ are called for on this Sunday so let’s just try and slow things down with appropriate pauses to catch our breath.
