April 11th – 17th, 2016

This week can be a week when our minds may be racing with all sorts of thoughts, prospects and strategies for achieving our goals.

There may be a great deal of talk as we start the week. We might need to thread our way through the kaleidoscope of ideas and suggestions by drawing upon our intuitive sense and whether what we are being presented or what we are offering feels right to us. Even if we have a tendency to jump at anything and everything, it would be wise that we reflect upon the wide range of possibilities. This week is a time for us to engage the advice of ‘look before you leap’.

While we might be enjoying the comforts of home during the mid-week, we could also be planning our next great getaway. Like an eagle creating its nest to then fly from it always able to come back to its nest, we too might find ourselves using our base camp to consider what, where and how we might engage a grand adventure, whether that adventure be a daring new project or an intended trip to one of the four corners of the world.

The latter part of the week has us feeling upbeat, inspired and ready to spread our sage advice on any and all listeners. We may be confident in our abilities and seeking to express our talents. This latter part of the week can have us presenting ourselves in a best light scenario. Even Tax Day in the US is unlikely to diminish our ‘feel good’ qualities. Nothing is likely to dampen our spirits or diminish our living in our light.

The weekend could have us engaging in the specifics of our conceived intentions. We might do a cleanup and clear out in order to provide the necessary space for our new endeavors.

Not only are we feeling good about our capabilities. Our insight and laser-like focus can provide us an innate sense of developing our plans through the leanest and most expeditious manner.

We end the week fully aware, but we do have to be careful that we have not been so in our head during the week that we stumble over ourselves or rush too fast too far, putting us at physical risk or some level of exhaustion.

All in all, this is a wonderful week for mental percolating and then starting to lay the foundation stones of our future. We are under last week’s New Moon influence of serendipity, magic and miracles. We are also being impacted by the Earth Grand Trine, which allows for manifestation by taking concepts, implementing ideas and making our hopes and dreams real.

Monday, April 11th – Manic Monday – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. We may be fast out of the gate on this Monday. We might want to accomplish any number of things and therein could lie a problem. We could have so much going on that we wind up running around in circles and achieving little in the process. Monday is one manic day. The Gemini Moon today triggers the Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Jupiter and the Moon opposed Saturn. We might feel like we’re on a bungee cord flying off in certain directions only to be snapped back to our mundane reality and our ever-present responsibilities. It would be wise to deal with what needs to get done before we start off in some new direction that might seem far more captivating and exciting. We could easily assume that we can do more than possible and schedule ourselves to the max and beyond. Even if we wind up juggling any number of things today and dropping one or two along the way, the day shifts after the initial frenzy. The Moon then sextiles Uranus and the Moon sextiles the Sun. Suddenly, things can happen easily and almost magically so long as we get out of our own way and work with the energies rather than trying to control them. The latter part of the day has the Moon going Void-of-Course for over thirteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon moves into Cancer early tomorrow morning. We could be spinning our wheels in the latter part of the day or trying to attend to matters that had earlier fallen between the cracks.

Tuesday, April 12th – Trust in the Universe – Venus, Neptune, Mercury, Mars. Tuesday has the Moon moving into Cancer where today the Moon squares Venus and the Moon trines Neptune. Mercury sextiles Neptune and Venus trines Mars. There are times when despite our best intentions we somehow shoot ourselves in our own foot. Why go there? While these times are volatile times, they are also times of a paradigm shift from our assumed control and mastery over circumstance to an appreciation that the universe and the natural unfolding work quite well without our having to manipulate things. This is a day for us to listen to our inner voice, that inner knowing that comes from our intuitive sense and our ‘feel’ of what is truly going on. The empirical is all well and good but it is important that it not become a limiting factor like a horse with blinders on, unable to see anything but the straight and narrow and closed off to the peripheral and the extension. Today is a day for us to trust in the universe and be willing to step beyond our comfort zone, always guided by our instinctual sense as to what works for us and what doesn’t work for us. We might look to engage people at a distance and those people whose experiences are foreign to us. We are looking to stretch our wings, move beyond our comfort zone without being foolhardy or reckless in the process.

Wednesday, April 13th – Never More Than We Can Handle – Mercury, Jupiter, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Sun. Wednesday starts the day with us feeling pretty good about things. We might be looking to present ourselves in a best light scenario. The Cancer Moon sextiles Mercury and the Moon sextiles Jupiter. We may straighten up around our home base or work environment. We could be putting some finishing touches to our appearance, whether we have a personal makeover or dress to the nines. We want our appearance to be sharp and reflect exuberance and confidence. That may be the way we start the day, especially if Tuesday’s events gave us a boost and a thrust to our ego. Although we might start the day looking good and feeling good, as the day progresses we could feel as if we have been hit by a buzz saw. The Cancer Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Pluto and the Moon square both Uranus and the Sun. Our best intentions could run afoul of either our responsibilities or someone else’s demands. We might feel as though the wind has been knocked out of our sails. While there are vicissitudes in our life experience, it’s all part of the volatility of these times. While there is a saying that ‘we never get more than we handle’, there are times when life hands us circumstances that give lie to that saying. Let’s be careful that we don’t fall prey to a victim mentality, whereby we imagine only the worst and assume it to be a never-ending cycle. Like all of life’s conditions, eventually situations pass and other opportunities / challenges present themselves.

Thursday, April 14th – On Top of the World – Mercury, Jupiter. Thursday has the Moon entering Leo, but the Moon makes no aspects and connections to the planets today. Mercury trines Jupiter and begins the trigger of the Earth Grand Trine with Mercury trine Jupiter today and Mercury trine Pluto on Sunday. Thursday is a day when we may be feeling upbeat and optimistic and wanting to put our best foot forward. We are looking to express our creative talents and may consider all sorts of possibilities today. Whether we focus on a particular project of our own, participate by collaboration with some creative outlets, or take in a showcase of other people’s talents, this Thursday is a day when we might embrace ‘Spring fever’ and take the day as a ‘mental health’ day to reinvigorate ourselves and look on the sunny side of the street. Thursday can be a fun day, a day when our spirits are uplifted and our attitude is appreciative of the beauty in life. If we can put aside our mundane responsibilities today and just enjoy the rebirth, renewal and renaissance that this Spring season promises, we might find that it proves one of the best tonics for our disposition and life. This is a day to enjoy, but also a day when we might choose the involvements by which to en joy.

Friday, April 15th – Not Taxing At All – Mercury, Lunar Grand Trine, Mars, Venus, Saturn. Friday is Tax Day in the US, the day when US citizens have to ante up a significant portion of their last year’s income to satiate Uncle Sam’s voracious appetite. Many people may have already filed and instead are waiting for their tax refund. This Friday seems hardly taxing. The Leo Moon today squares Mercury and the Moon triggers a Fire Grand Trine with the Leo Moon trine Venus in Aries and the Moon trines Mars and Saturn both in Sagittarius. We may start the weekend early on this Friday. We are far more interested in pleasure than tasks. We could be a little extravagant today, take on a ‘devil may care’ attitude and engage in whatever catches our fancy. We are looking for fun and good times today. Even if we shirk our responsibilities today, we can play catch up over the weekend and the early part of next week. This is a carpe diem kind of time, whereby we grab for all the gusto our lives have to offer. If we focus our energy today, we are likely to have the wind to our back and accomplish a great deal. Our passion is engaged, and we are looking to stand out in our own particular light rather than fit into consensus opinion or the collective standards. We could feel like a shooting star today but without any fear of burnout.

Saturday, April 16th – Grand Adventures – Uranus, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Yesterday and today are geared for good times and fun events. We had the Fire Grand Trine yesterday and today the Leo Moon trines both Uranus and the Sun in Aries. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo late in the day. No matter what we have on our ‘to do’ list, this Saturday is a day for explorations, spontaneity and doing our own thing. Late today, tomorrow and Monday might have us more attentive to routine matters, taking care of details and back on the track. This Saturday is more geared to our getting off the track, doing something different from our ‘same old, same old’ and just enjoying our self. We are in Spring and no matter the weather we are likely to be feeling that burst of newness that Spring offers us. This Saturday is a day for us to be adventurous. We don’t have to push the envelope. We can just enjoy the pleasures of our doing life.

Sunday, April 17th – Rumbles in the Air – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Neptune, Jupiter, Mercury, Pluto, Mars retrograde. We live in volatile times, times when things can shift in a nanosecond. The past two days may have been exhilarating, exciting with special moments of unexpected surprises and wondrous events. Sunday is a tad different. Okay, not so much a tad as a fairly significant shift in energy. The Virgo Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct Jupiter, the Moon square Mars and the Moon opposed Neptune. We could be all over the place today, wanting to do more than conceivably possible and pushing to the limits and beyond. Fortunately, Mercury trines Pluto and completes the Mercury trigger to the Earth Grand Trine, first with Mercury trine Jupiter back on Thursday and now on this Sunday with Mercury trine Pluto. No matter how crazy things may seem today, with something of a whirlwind going on, our mind is incredibly sharp, laser-like and able to cut through the mishegas to see what is really going on. Such an intense focus may be necessary both in regard to the Mutable Sign T-Square but possibly more importantly with two significant shifts in energy. Mars turns retrograde today, followed by Pluto turning retrograde tomorrow. We have to be vigilant and highly alert regarding what is going on. This twosome could provoke actings out, terrorist incidents, earth movements of volcanic activity and earthquakes and liability to intense storm systems. These two planets turning retrograde today and tomorrow do not promise a walk in the park, and we have to be highly disciplined with our own actions and with our reactions. Today and tomorrow can prove explosive. We just have to be mindful, flexible and adaptable to changing conditions.
