This week could have us feeling that we are going from the ridiculous to the sublime.
This is the last week of the winter season with the week ending with the Vernal Equinox, the transit of the Sun from Pisces into Aries at the Vernal Equinox. In astrology, the Vernal Equinox represents the new year, the rebirth and renaissance that we might have waited for all winter long.
Before we get to our Spring season, we have some quagmires to trod through.
The beginning of this week could be a little dicey. Tantrums might be in full play as we start the week. Someone could be obstreperous, pushing the envelope, wanting what they want but with little consideration as to anyone else’s needs or interests.
If we rush to judgment, we could make some serious errors. Acting without thinking, much less considering the long-term consequences of our actions, may be the modus operandi as we begin the week.
Yes, there can be a lot of banging and crashing around like a bull in a china shop as we start this week. Let’s try [with emphasis on the word try] and slow things down. If we don’t take our time and think things through before acting, we could find ourselves running around in circles and running up against all sorts of difficulties and the liability of someone tripping us up.
Impatience could be a prescription for disaster. Patience might pay dividends.
Wild mental swings the first two days of this week could have us in a dither, but “hump day” gives us a breather, a sense of sweet contentment and the ability to fit various pieces into our puzzle.
We may gain confidence as we come towards the end of the week. We might feel that no matter the difficulties or problems that get in our way that in truth we can work things out and affirm the saying that ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’.
The end of the week and the weekend can see us expressing our creative side. We might have been tripped up early in the week, either by someone else or by situations or even by our own actions, but the end of the week and the weekend has us going full steam ahead.
The weekend closes out with the Vernal Equinox and the Sun moving out of Pisces to enter Aries and the start of the Spring season. And astrologically, we can say HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Monday, March 14th – Manic Monday for Maniacs – Lunar Grand Cross, Neptune, Saturn, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Mars. Monday begins the week, but this Monday is one that we might want to skip over. This Monday could prove one intense day, and a day when we might have to keep our spirits up and avoid any incoming. And incoming there might be. Monday has a Mutable Sign Grand Cross with the Gemini Moon square both Neptune and Mercury in Pisces, the Moon opposed Saturn in Sagittarius, and the Moon square Jupiter in Virgo. Mercury squares Saturn, and Venus squares Mars. All of this Mutable Energy can make anyone, hopefully not everyone, a tad bit crazy or totally off their rocker. This is a day when we might feel frustrated, overwhelmed and looking for anyone and everyone with whom to play the blame game. We just have to be wary that we don’t focus on someone as our piñata or have someone tagging us as a piñata. The level of nervous energy with its liable corollaries of anxiety and fear can be off the charts. This is a day when we need to use braking action on what we are going to say or what are going to do. While putting the braking action on impetuousness is suggested, such a suggestion is likely to go unheeded. We might all be caught up in the wave, a wave that could prove tsunami-like in nature. Impulsiveness could lead to a combustible combination and a spontaneous combustion. If we don’t wipe out during this day and prove to be our own worst enemy by our actions or our communications, then we should give ourselves a gold star, or at least a purple heart, for making it through this crazy-making day.
Tuesday, March 15th – A Different Choice – Uranus, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Pluto, Jupiter. After a Monday that might have had us walking barefoot on hot coals, at least figuratively if not literally, Tuesday can provide us a respite of sorts. The Gemini Moon today sextiles Uranus and the Moon squares the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer late in the day. Mercury sextiles Pluto and Mercury opposes Jupiter. For much of this day, we are still dealing with a great deal of Mutable energy. It’s not as bad or as intense as Monday’s Mutable nature, but we do need to consider alternatives and options to what we might have engaged yesterday. If we didn’t get totally entangled in messes of our own making yesterday or been sucker-punched by someone, then today allows us to consider a different course of action, a different route to take. We can be incredibly perceptive today. Our communications can be to the point and spot on. We can cut to the core, focus on the essential and clearly make our points. We just have to avoid getting on a roll and then saying everything and anything that we are thinking, for too much today will dissipate the substance of our input.
Wednesday, March 16th – Feeling Good, Doing Good – Venus, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto. Wednesday may be a highly pleasant day, a day when we are good to ourselves and see things from a positive perspective. The Cancer Moon trines both Venus and Neptune in Pisces, and Jupiter trines Pluto. Everything may seem to be coming up roses today. We can take care of our own personal needs and cover other people’s wants too. We may be feeling very nurturing but also highly effective. This is a day when we can put the details to the big picture. Our appearance can be graceful, appealing and enticing. Our abilities could be highly proficient, streamlining operations and not allowing anything to fall between the cracks. This is a day when appearance and substance match and not a day to be lost. We might virtually move mountains today and without stepping on anyone’s toes. Good deeds done in times past might benefit us today. Yes, this day could be a day of good karma return, a time when things fit neatly together and when we seem to be operating on greased wheels. We might savor the ‘feel good’ of this day but to merely enjoy the pleasantries would lose the true benefits of this day. We could lay down solid foundation stones for our future and provide a warm and inviting environment for ourselves and those people we care about. Heart and soul may seem to be engaged.
Thursday, March 17th – Snakes and Shakes – Jupiter, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Mercury. Thursday is St. Patrick’s Day. With the Moon in Cancer today, we might prefer to take a ‘time out’ in celebration of the day and partake in corned beef, cabbage, boiled potato and a pint or two of Guinness. The Cancer Moon sextiles Jupiter and the Moon trines Mercury. The Moon also triggers the Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Pluto and the Moon square Uranus. We might have plans to get together with friends and family, but our responsibilities and unexpected demands could get in our way. Let’s reach out to other people, make them welcome in our home or in get-togethers at a gastropub. If things come up that interfere with our plans, let’s do what needs to get done without being flustered and make alternate arrangements if need be. By now, we should have become aware of various curveballs that arise. This is just another one of those days when things may not go according to plan, but we can deal with whatever arises by our having become adept with flexibility and adaptability.
Friday, March 18th – Going for the Gold – Sun, Mars. Early Friday begins with the Cancer Moon trine the Sun. The Moon then moves into Leo where today the Moon trines Mars. The comforts of home and family, their love and support, can give us a much-needed infusion of confidence and optimism. As the day progresses, we can get our game face on and present ourselves in a dramatic and creative manner. This is a day for us to make a mark on our world, expand our interests and take a proactive approach to our lives. We may have strong physical energy today and a determination to push forward into new arenas. This is a day for us to express our creativity and enjoy the creative outlets of others. Soaking in the talents of other people displayed in their work could spark insights and enthusiasm to engage our own expressive abilities.
Saturday, March 19th – Experience and Innovation – Lunar Grand Trine, Saturn, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Saturday can be an exemplary day, a day when we participate in re-creational activities. The Leo Moon today triggers a Grand Trine with the Moon trine Saturn in Sagittarius and the Moon trine Uranus in Aries. Today could provide an interesting blend of the traditional with the avant garde. We might take in fun activities that lift our spirits and revitalize us. We may also find ourselves putting our best foot forward, drawing upon our expertise and willing to push our abilities even further in new directions. We can draw upon our past without being limited by it, and we could move in exciting new directions without going off the track. This Saturday can be an enlivening and thrilling day. No matter what we have planned for this Saturday, it would be wise to have some ‘free time’ in order to engage unexpected opportunities. The latter part of the day has the Moon going Void-of-Course for almost twenty-one hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo tomorrow.
Sunday, March 20th – Spring has Sprung, Happy New Year – Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Venus, Neptune, Vernal Equinox, Sun Aries. Sunday continues with the Void-of-Course Moon that began yesterday and continues into the first half of this day as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Virgo where late today the Moon squares Mars. Venus conjuncts Neptune today, and the Sun exits Pisces to enter Aries at the Vernal Equinox. We are entering the Spring season, which astrologically is also the start of the new year as the Sun begins a new annual zodiac cycle. There can be a strong sense of infatuation today. We may be in love with love, in love with the advent of Spring with its promise of rebirth, renewal, renaissance. Spring begins with a strong thrust of energy and a heightened spiritual component. We may feel as though our personal destiny is to be revealed with us ready to take the baton in hand and run the race of our individual journey. This is an exciting day and also a day for us to make our resolutions for the coming year. We have entered a phase of initiation, of new beginnings that speak to our soul’s desires. We can see our journey in a radiant light and have the commitment to take our journey step by step with the understanding that we shall be guided by our inner knowing, our inner voice, in each step we take.
