This week expresses the volatility of these times with some wild swings operating. To paraphrase Bette Davis’ classic line in All About Eve, we had better fasten our seat belts for this week is likely to be a bumpy ride.
The early part of the week can have us adamant about clearing the decks, making room for new interests and considering plans to get out of Dodge, whether on vacation or to get clarity from a fresh perspective.
We may be reaching out to those important people in our lives that live at a distance and with whom we have infrequent contact. We might feel the need to reassure ourselves and create a sense of security that the old and familiar often provide.
While we could expand our involvements, we might wonder why we are doing so. Is it because we are optimistic, confident and want to enlarge upon what we have? Or is it a distraction, a diversion from what we have?
The sense of the grass being greener somewhere other than under our own two feet can make us anxious, slightly irritated and wanting something more than what we have.
Serendipitous encounters in the mid-week period could make us aware of options and alternatives of which we had no knowledge. We might feel as though we are on a scavenger hunt with various clues coming forward virtually out of nowhere.
Even if we have blinders on with narrow tunnel vision, it may be hard to miss some of the unanticipated situations that could crop up in the mid-week period.
The latter part of the week may impel us to have our nose to the grindstone, accomplish more in a shorter period of time than usual, with us focusing on the truly meaningful and less distracted by the superfluous.
Many of us are living for the weekends, those times when we are able to step away from our mundane obligations, our workaday world. This weekend, however, might be anticipated but its actuality may be less than refreshing, relaxing, renewing. On the contrary, the weekend could prove to be quite intense with some real whipsaws of moods and emotions. We could easily exhaust ourselves by playing the victim role, which has no redeeming qualities and only the likely result of being the honoree at our own hosted pity party.
The weekend might be far wiser spent focusing on our own individual projects that brighten our lives, or stepping off the track and postponing our commitments or obligations.
Monday, February 29th – Leaping Lizards – Mercury, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn. The beauty for those born on the 29th of February is their youthfulness, especially in light of the fact that their birthday comes every four years, so when they are chronologically forty they are actually celebrating their tenth birthday. Yes, 2016 is a leap year and today is the leap day that balances out the calendar year with the astronomical or seasonal year. This Monday begins with the Moon in Scorpio and the Moon square Mercury and the Moon conjunct Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius later in the day. Venus sextiles Saturn. This is a day when we need to look before we leap, engage brain before speaking and watch that we just don’t come across as being a know-it-all and slightly belligerent. People could be pushing the envelope today with everyone liable to have a slight edge on. This is a day when it is essential that we keep our thoughts, emotions, words and actions all under a tight rein. We may say something or do something that we might later have to walk back. No matter what upsets might occur early in the day we can smooth things over later in the day. But if we give into today’s energies and find ourselves leaping lizards, the latter part of the day might have us dining on a meal of eating crow. We may have some great ideas for future projects for ourselves but today would be a good time to draw upon a trusted and wise sounding board, an old friend who knows us well.
Tuesday, March 1st – World of Confusion – Neptune, Sun. Tuesday has the Sagittarius Moon squaring Neptune and the Sun, both in Pisces. We may want to broaden our scope, but the question of intention, direction and itinerary could perplex us and have us going around in circles. Clarity may be lacking on this Tuesday. We might feel as though we are being tossed about by circumstances and situations rather than in control of our conditions. Welcome to the paradigm shift! Let’s keep in mind that we are entering a world of asequential reality, whereby events occur not so much in a linear, sequential fashion but rather in an unanticipated, unexpected manner with various twists and turns that to our conditioned mind may seem at times to have no rhyme, no reason. To a large degree, this Tuesday can be a day of surrender, letting go of our preconceived notions and like a little child to be open to the awe and wonder of the universe unfolding. The more we try to make sense of things, the more confused we could become. This Tuesday is a day for us to remain open and trust in the universe. We may feel vulnerable, somewhat tentative today, but such a sense also allows us to be more malleable, more adaptable and more flexible. By getting out of our own way, we can be more receptive to the magic and miracles of these times. We might be very emotional today but we can transcend maudlin sentimentality and turn our feelings into a spiritual belief that things do indeed work out for the best, whether we are aware of what’s best at the time or just in a state of confusion.
Wednesday, March 2nd – What a Wonder-filled World – Saturn, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury. Yesterday might have had us feeling slightly anxious about things. We might not have been able to put our finger on what felt so wrong to us, but we could have felt increasingly vulnerable to the ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’, as Shakespeare related it. Wednesday could have us waking up a little out of sorts. Our sleep state may have been upsetting, leaving us feeling queasy as we begin this Wednesday. A shower, cup of tea or coffee and breakfast can sweep away our concerns and prepare us for shifting our attitude from anxiety to adventurous. This Wednesday begins with the Sagittarius Moon conjunct Saturn. The Moon then makes contacts that help to shift the energy from feeling depleted to feeling exuberant. The Moon sextiles Venus, the Moon trines Uranus, the Moon squares Jupiter, and the Moon sextiles Mercury. Venus sextiles Uranus. Like the volatility of these times, our moods can shift radically today from stern and dour to upbeat and inspired. We may also find ourselves running into people who have some news or suggestions that might be of use in our days ahead. Serendipitous encounters can make us aware of options and alternatives we might not have taken into account. We just need to be certain to be open, work with peripheral vision and not limit the IS.
Thursday, March 3rd – Intuitive Indications – Neptune. Thursday has the Moon moving into Capricorn where today the Moon sextiles Neptune. An outward seriousness can mask deep-held feelings. This is a day when we may need to scratch below the surface to figure out what is really going on with someone. There can be an interesting blend of the practical and the visionary today. This is a good day to ‘feel out’ a best practices approach by which we can realize our ambitions. Let’s keep in mind that intention is the first step to realization. We don’t always have to be on the go. There are times when soft, subtle movements are far more effective than pushing too hard, too fast. If we have a case to present today, we can combine hardcore reality with an appealing, persuasive argument. We may feel divinely guided, as if we were totally in tune with our purpose and our destiny. Time outs today would be recommended, for they will allow us to see not only what we are doing on the short-term but how our efforts are aiding our long-range goals. Perhaps not a high energy day this Thursday, but a day when we can accomplish a great deal as though on greased wheels and without much fanfare or hoopla. This is a day when we can get things done.
Friday, March 4th – On All Cylinders – Sun, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter. Thursday may have been a productive day, even though we might not have created a whole lot of waves. It might have felt like we were putting one foot in front of the other, but recognizing that each step was solid. Friday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today sextile the Sun, the Moon conjunct Pluto, the Moon square Uranus, and the Moon trine Jupiter. Today is a day when we can focus on those things that truly have meaning to us, those involvements that serve us a purpose. There may be times today when we would like to take a break and distract ourselves with an exciting diversion. If we go there, it would be suggested that we time our break, for this is a day when we can virtually move mountains, accomplish a great deal and even expand our activities. Let’s not put off to tomorrow what we can get done today. Saturday and Sunday may be a little dicey, so this Friday is a good day to wrap things up and do as much as possible. We could be operating on all cylinders today, take a momentary side trip, but maintain our focus on our productivity and effectiveness.
Saturday, March 5th – Any Which Way – Mars, Mercury, Mercury Pisces, Mars Sagittarius. Saturday could prove to be one whacky day. The Capricorn Moon sextiles Mars and then the Moon moves into Aquarius. Mercury transiting Aquarius squares Mars transiting Scorpio just before Mercury exits Aquarius to enter Pisces followed later by Mars exiting Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. There’s a great deal of shift happening on this Saturday. With Mercury and Mars moving out of Fixed Signs into Mutable Signs, the Mutable T-Square we have been dealing with since last September is intensified. We might be all over the place on this Saturday, any which way but loose. We need to watch what we say and how we say it. People could be highly critical, easily take offense, and misunderstand or misinterpret what is being said. To clarify our message we might speak even louder as if volume would increase comprehension. Instead of clarifying what we have said, we might seem belligerent and overbearing. This is a day when we can be moving too fast, too far and possibly without considering what we are doing or why we are doing it. This would be a good day to air out, get out of Dodge and not allow nervous energy to get the better of us. Let’s not accept anything at face value or jump to conclusions. Impetuousness can trigger mishaps so the more we can slow things down the less likely we are to trip over ourselves.
Sunday, March 6th – Not Feeling It – Saturn, Uranus, Sun, Pluto. The Aquarius Moon today sextiles Saturn and the Moon sextiles Uranus. We begin the day with the Sun square Saturn and end the day with the Sun sextile Pluto. We might feel overwhelmed by our obligations and commitments. The interesting aspect of this day is that if we can gather up the energy we could deal with both our scheduled plans and also have time to do something on the spur-of-the-moment, impulsively. We might be slow getting going on this Sunday, so let’s not try and push ourselves in the morning hours. Once in gear, we can handle various things and do so effectively. The evening hours can be an interesting diversion and prepare us for the week ahead. We might feel down in the dumps to start the day, questioning our capabilities and exhaust ourselves just by thinking what we need to get done. By the end of the day, we can feel more capable, empowered and ready to advance our ambitions in the week ahead.
