This week seems highly buoyant. New connections could be made, and we might feel as though nothing can possibly go wrong. The euphoria may be intoxicating, but we have to be wary of irrational exuberance. We need to keep in mind the volatility of these times — when it’s good, it can be great; when it’s bad, it can be terrible. Even under the Mercury retrograde, this week can be great.
We start the week thinking about the ‘what ifs’ and various prospects. Nothing is off the table, everything within the realm of possibility. The mid-part of the week can have us highly emotional and moody, but also with one foot in our mundane reality, the other foot in a dream state.
Serendipitous encounters can lift our spirits and enhance a belief in the paradigm shift with its magic and mini-miracles.
Urged on by someone we may have just met or egged on by a situation that seductively draws us in, we could make great leaps, feeling confident and expectant of a successful outcome.
This ‘feel good’ quality can impel us to branch out, stretch our wings and engage activities that may be new to us but also excite us. There’s no stopping us this week. We may be operating on all eight cylinders, running at our optimum with our confidence and optimism contagious.
We might feel that things are working out, that certain situations are unfolding even without our having to do a whole lot to make them happen. Such assumptions could be seductive, but it would be wise to remind ourselves that during these times things can shift in a nanosecond.
The weekend may have us all over the place but with our desire to be totally freewheeling constrained by our responsibilities or scheduled commitments.
Monday, January 11th – Gathering Advice – Saturn, Venus, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with the Aquarius Moon sextile Saturn, the Moon sextile Venus and the Moon sextile Uranus. Later in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-three hours and much of Tuesday as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Pisces late on Tuesday. This Monday is a day when we might reach out to other people, far and near, and people we deal with regularly and those that we seldom connect with. We may be looking at chatting people up, discussing ideas for our future and drawing upon their thoughts and their opinions. This is a good day for us to gather advice. We do not have to come to definitive conclusions. It would be far more important to have a wealth of information that we can later sort through and filter out the most salient points. Our time with any one person could be short today and the depth of conversation minimal. We are more interested in getting as much diverse input as possible. Unexpected opportunities could arise and may lead us on a trajectory different than the one we had intended. This Monday can be a fast-paced day when we are like a butterfly going from one thing to another to yet another with barely alighting at any one place.
Tuesday, January 12th – Serendipitous Encounter – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Uranus. Tuesday begins with the Void-of-Course Aquarius Moon with the Moon making no connections to the planets today as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces late today. There is not a great deal of energy today. We might like to take some time with that special someone today. Venus trines Uranus, and we might discover interesting new aspects about someone that we had never experienced before. Or someone could make us aware of a characteristic of ours with which we have been unfamiliar. This is one of those days when we could bump into people who are doing their own thing, marching to their own drummer. There is a sense of serendipity happening today, and we can find ourselves in the right place at the right time for some exciting news and involvements. If we embrace the idea that life is an adventure, we might find that our pathway today opens the door to thrilling diversions and different trajectories.
Wednesday, January 13th – All Over the Place – Mars, Neptune, Saturn, Pluto, Sun, Jupiter. The Pisces Moon today trines Mars, the Moon conjuncts Neptune, the Moon squares Saturn and the Moon sextiles Pluto. The Sun trines Jupiter. We may feel confident, upbeat, optimistic and ready and willing to take on the world. In so doing, we might want to cover all bases, but where a problem might arise is figuring our priorities and scheduling our day. We could easily be juggling any number of things and assume that we can handle it all and ever more so. An arrogant attitude might prove our undoing, for instead of taking things step by step we could find ourselves going around in circles, wondering whether we have truly attended to matters or merely glossed over them. Our mood swings could be extreme, going from exuberance down to despair and back with stopping points as we go both ways. Even if we find ourselves in a maze of our own doing and exhausted by the running around and the emotional ups and downs, the latter part of the day allows us to prioritize, streamline and get things back on track. Moderation today could narrow the extremes, but we might prefer the swing high, swing low of the day.
Thursday, January 14th – Have I Got a Deal For You – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. The Pisces Moon today triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Venus and the Moon opposed Jupiter. The Moon also sextiles both Mercury and the Sun in Capricorn. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries late in the day. The Sun conjuncts Mercury and Mercury trines Jupiter. This is one of those days when we have to be very careful, tread lightly with the recognition that what we see is not what we might get. More goes on than meets the eye on this Thursday, but we might be so enamored with our upbeat attitude that we miss some of the signals of discrepancies to what we see and what we are being told. With the Jupiter aspects of yesterday and today, we can be surfing the crest of the waves, feeling good about ourselves and about our abilities. We might all be feeling like legends in our own mind. If we can contain our optimism and our assumption that things are working out for the best even to the point of feeling that we are being divinely guided, then we can make a great deal of progress with our goals and ambitions on Wednesday and this Thursday. Our confidence can be combined with an ability to rationally present our case in detail. We could sway even the most skeptical with the presentation of our intentions with the package presented in a highly structured manner, a persuasive argument and with every specific detail effectively covered. Wednesday and Thursday can be great days, so let’s work with the energies to our advantage without over reaching.
Friday, January 15th – Reach Out of the Darkness – Saturn. We may have been operating on turbo thrust the past two days. We could have virtually moved mountains or, at least, advanced many of our goals and ambitions. Things may seem to have fallen into place so easily as if divinely guided. The energy is not quite as high-pitched on this Friday. The Aries Moon trines Saturn. We can take a step back from our enthusiasm and do the necessary work of dealing with details, honing the specifics and developing the format to expand our activities. We might have been incredibly bubbly and self-confident over the past two days, but this Friday allows us to provide more grounding to our ambitions. We may take on a more serious tone today, but we are looking at how we can best develop our plans. Friday may call for us to reach out to someone, or other people, to help us further our goals. Someone with greater expertise than ourselves in a particular area may provide the necessary input for us to refine our plans. We could find that someone we trust proves to be an encouraging advocate for what we propose to do next.
Saturday, January 16th – Humpty Dumpty, All Over the Place – Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, Sun, Venus. It’s interesting that much of this week may have felt like we were operating on greased wheels with everything operating smoothly and effectively. Perhaps a sense of being able to do no wrong crept into our consciousness, for Saturday can provide one of those lateral lobotomies or whacks to the side of the head that gives us a wakeup call. This Saturday has the Aries Moon trine Venus, and the Aries Moon conjunct Uranus. The Moon also squares the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Pluto, Mercury, and the Sun. Having had the wind to our back, nary an oppositional hiccup to our involvements this past week, Saturday may provide the resistance we have not experienced during the week. We might be trying too hard to emphasize our individuality, to do our own thing and take a trajectory away from our responsibilities. Saturday can have our obligations and mundane affairs knocking hard against our self-involvement. Our wishes and our desires could run afoul of our commitments and the standards that are usually enforced. We have to watch that our own actions are not the trigger to bursting our balloons. Even if we have had our head in the clouds over the past week, with the assumption that nothing could go wrong, this Saturday can bring us back to a reality that there are times when everything is going our way, other times when we seem to be running up against all sorts of obstacles. This Saturday could be one of those other times.
Sunday, January 17th – More with Less – Mars, Neptune. Sunday gives us the Moon in Taurus with the Moon today opposed Mars and the Moon sextile Neptune. We could have a tendency today to try and take on too much. The too much can be in regard to expenditures of time, energy and monies. Sunday is a day for us to keep out of our own way. We could be stubborn and seek to control and manipulate everything to our whim. And that would be the wrong course of action and could raise the hackles of someone else. The irony of this day is the harder we try, the more likely we are to fail. If we step back and take a softer and gentler approach, we might be far more effective and productive. We have a choice between rolling the boulder up the mountain and winching the boulder up the mountain. Even if we exhaust ourselves by the former action, eventually we may realize that there are easier ways than by our brute force. We can present ourselves looking at our best if we would keep in mind that more is often less and less is often more.
