December 21st – 27th, 2015

This week can have us in high gear celebrating the holidays and going overboard with Christmas cheer.

It’s Christmas week and, whether we celebrate Christmas or not, people are likely to be partying, shopping, indulging, and generally focused on having a good time. Routine activities may be put on hold as we engage a two-week revelry culminating after the New Year’s celebration in 2016.

This week begins with the last day of Autumn as the Sun exits Sagittarius at the Winter Solstice and the Sun enters Capricorn. In the northern latitudes, the Winter Solstice denotes the shortest day of daylight and the birth of the light in the darkness. From now until the Summer Solstice, the northern latitudes will experience increasing daylight.

We may be doing a great deal of scurrying around this week in preparation for the long weekend festivities. We may have blinders on, our vision narrowed to the company of family and friends and enjoying the holiday decorations and a general ‘feel good’ attitude. No matter the various Grinch-like issues going on in the world, we are unlikely to let anything dampen our good times with good friends.

The mid-week period can have us ramping up our pace as we try to cover all bases and engage as much holiday festivities that we possibly can. There might be so much going on that it could have a dizzying effect. It would be wise for us, like Santa Claus, to make our list and check it twice in order to be certain that we attend to every significant matter. If we just forge ahead believing we know what we need to get done, we could waste time and wind up running around in circles. Time management is called for in order for us to do what needs to be done expeditiously.

The running around can continue up through Christmas Eve. Our budget may go out the window as we decide to be generous, even to a fault, and liable to rack up some significant expenditures.

Christmas can be pleasant with the Cancer Full Moon. Whether we are spending time with them or in memories of past times together, family may be on our mind. Textings, phone calls, emails can ring through the air as people use part of this long weekend to reach out and connect with family and friends.

There can be a huge uptick in energy as we come into the weekend. We might even take ourselves into overdrive as we make the rounds literally or figuratively of social engagements and tendencies to get back into the malls.

The emphasis on the weekend can be on our home and family, but we close out the weekend a little harried and exhausted but still looking to imbibe the pleasures of the holidays.

Monday, December 21st – After the Fall – Neptune, Pluto, Winter Solstice, Sun Capricorn. Monday begins the week with the Taurus Moon sextile Neptune and the Moon trine Pluto. We may be fixing up ourselves and our home for the holiday festivities. A personal makeover may be called for, and the calling could also justify spending a little extra monies here and there on ourselves under the guise that it is all part of our holiday shopping and gift giving. We may spare no expense today to look good and feel good. If we have projects to complete or responsibilities that we need to address, we might put our obligations on the back burner. It’s almost as though we have started a two-week period of getting off the track or slowing our pace regarding our regular routine. This Monday is also the last day of Autumn. Late tonight, early tomorrow, the Sun exits Sagittarius to enter Capricorn at the Winter Solstice and the beginning of the winter season. Even as we engage the holiday celebrations, we may have in the back of our mind, or for some people in the forefront of their mind, thoughts of how we can achieve our goals and realize our dreams. Let’s keep in mind that this holiday period calls forth the concept that no matter how difficult it might seem dreams can come true. And during this time of the paradigm shift from us making things happen in a linear reality to the magic and miracles of asequential reality, the seemingly impossible can be ever more possible as a result of the serendipity and synchronicity of the new paradigm.

Tuesday, December 22nd – Putting It All Together – Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday and Tuesday of this week can be highly effective in our preparations and putting things together, whether our efforts are focused on holiday events or accomplishing certain tasks in order to have some time and space to enjoy the holiday celebrations. Tuesday has the Taurus Moon triggering an Earth Grand Trine as the Moon trines Mercury in Capricorn and the Moon trines Jupiter in Virgo. The Moon opposes Venus. Monday and early Tuesday can have a positive push to accomplish any number of things. Although we can put the finishing touches on our holiday decorations and even engage our own personal makeover, we do have to keep a budget in mind. We could get so wrapped up in the euphoria of the season and the mass frenzy of shopping and buying that we lose track of our expenditures. It would be essential that we keep tabs on what we are buying and what are purchases are costing us. Otherwise, any splurge can leave us with a later hangover of debt to crawl out from under. After a flurry of activity early on this Tuesday, the energy dies down as the Moon goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini later in the day.

Wednesday, December 23rd – Off To – Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Saturn. I would suggest that Wednesday with the Gemini Moon would have us off to the races, and we can certainly be in high gear as we go through this Wednesday. Where a problem arises is that we may have fuel in the tank with us putting the pedal to the metal but with the liability of our going around in circles. The Gemini Moon today triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Neptune and the Moon opposed Saturn. This is a day when we really need to make our plans before setting out. It would be wise for us to create a list of what we want to accomplish today and possibly the priority in which we intend to achieve the items on our list. If we do not have a game plan as we start this day, we could feel overwhelmed by the various things we intend to do and start off in a helter-skelter fashion with our engagements having no rhyme or reason, just that we have to take care of certain situations. Let’s keep in mind the wise saying that ‘haste makes waste’, for we could certainly prove that point today if we don’t strategize our day. We may have a great deal we want to accomplish but without an itinerary we could waste a great deal of time, spend time on superfluous matters and end up exhausting ourselves without accomplishing everything we had intended.

Thursday, December 24th – Different Trajectories – Uranus, Jupiter, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus. Thursday continues with the Gemini Moon and the Moon today sextiles Uranus, the Moon squares Jupiter and the Moon trines Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for fifteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer tomorrow. Venus sextiles Jupiter. An unexpected situation could make this Thursday a day when we veer off course in order to participate in a fun and enlivening event. We may still be in high energy mode today, running around, but we are willing to take time out in order to get together with someone or various people to celebrate the holidays. If we have not finished our shopping or preparations for the holiday festivities, we could virtually be throwing money around just to get done what needs to get done. The early part of the week could have had us more in our body and taking a more reasoned approach to our preparations. Wednesday and Thursday can be a little mad as we try to do this, that, and the other in order to put the finishing touches before tomorrow’s Christmas Day. The frenzy can be a good time, so let’s make it so. We just need to avoid ratcheting up the expenses. The latter part of this day, Christmas Eve, can be spent in the loving company of that special person, or people, in our lives.

Friday, December 25th – Christmas Miracle – Cancer Full Moon, Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus direct. Friday is Christmas Day. Whether we celebrate the religious indications of this day or enjoy the holiday spirit, there can be magic in the air today. The day begins with the Cancer Full Moon as the Moon opposes the Sun. The Moon also trines Neptune today. Mercury trines Jupiter and Uranus turns direct. This Friday can be a joyful day, no matter what we might be doing today. We could get a hyper-thrust of energy today, a desire to do our own thing in the coming days with an appreciation that we do not have to make things happen but rather may be privy to the mini-miracles of this paradigm shift into asequential reality. With many stores closed today, this day offers a ‘time out’ from regular routines and in that ‘abnormal’ time-space, we might appreciate the fact that our personal destiny is offering us alternatives and options to the way we are doing our lives. Discussions could provide the fodder for how we can disentangle ourselves from the drudgery parts of our lives, take machete in hand and carve a new path for ourselves, all with various indications that, like the biblical star in the east, will guide us in our own journey towards our own self-actualization and self-fulfillment. Today is a day for us to savor our family and friends, enlist their support for our consideration of new trajectories for ourselves and to appreciate the possibility, no matter how seemingly impossible, of realizing our greatest hopes and wishes.

Saturday, December 26th – Back at It – Lunar Grand Cross – Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus. Yesterday, Christmas Day, might have provided us a ‘time out’ from the hurly-burly of everyday life. Many stores were closed, traffic may have been less than usual, and we could have had a sense of quiet on the streets. Yesterday may have allowed a brief interlude from life as we know it, as many of us chose to step off the track and enjoy the camaraderie of family and friends. Saturday is a different story and can be indicative of the metronome-like quality of these times. In contrast to yesterday, this Saturday could have us back at it as the energy ramps up significantly. The Cancer Moon today triggers a Cardinal Sign Grand Cross as the Moon opposes both Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn, the Moon squares Uranus in Aries and the Moon squares Mars in Libra. The Moon sextiles Jupiter, and the Moon trines Venus. We are in action mode today. We may be at full tilt on this Saturday, going from place to place, whether our travels are back into the malls and the stores or we use the day to get together with people in further celebrations of this holiday time. We can be all over the place today, entertaining and being entertained, returning gifts or making purchases, or just back out on the streets savoring the holiday decorations that soon will be coming down. There may be so much running around that by the end of the day we could have easily exhausted ourselves. And why not? We live in a society where enough is never enough and where people tend to far prefer more, more, more to the point of beyond excess.

Sunday, December 27th – A Day of Pleasures. After the whipsaws of this past week where we may have ratcheted up the energy severalfold to prepare for Christmas Day on Friday, to have the celebrations pleasant but a brief respite from our normal daily existence, followed by an even greater intensity yesterday; this Sunday allows us to just enjoy ourselves. No pressure, no need to engage social obligations, this Sunday allows us to take in the delights of this season. We are looking for pleasurable engagements today without pressure, without stressing ourselves, just a day when we can feel good about ourselves, about life. The Moon moves into Leo today but makes no aspects to the planets. This is a day for us to just enjoy ourselves and engage whatever brings a smile to our face. We don’t want anything hard or strenuous today, just an enjoyable time, no matter how we might define it.
