Enticing surprises this week can be appealing but demand due diligence, for we could easily be led down the garden path only to run into a brick wall.
The week begins with us feeling good about ourselves and enjoying the various signs of holiday spirits. No matter what is going on in the world at large, we are more engaged with our personal world and the fun seasonal events. This time of year speaks to an ability to step away from hard, cold reality and enter a fantasy world of delights and indulgences. No Scrooge for us. We need a healthy respite from our everyday world, and this week we are likely to grab for all the gusto we can embrace.
This time of year allows us to alter our perspective with an uncanny sensitivity to realize the magic and mini-miracles that often occur and are far more evident during this end of year.
This week is a time for us to work with peripheral vision, keep our antennae up, for we could hear about and witness some exciting unexpected events that open the door to new options and new alternatives for us to pursue. Although we might assume that we are headed towards trajectories that are far more exciting and allow us greater autonomy in our lives, let’s not be blinded by the sparkles and scintillating visions we might see or may intuit.
Contemplation and reflection could be called for in order for us to sort out the substance from the appearance, for us to focus on what is really going on and not merely accept what is being presented to us.
The mid-week period can have us in a state of confusion as we try to sort out the real from the fantasmagoric. We could be in a spin, loving the spin we’re in, and willing to extend ourselves beyond reasonable involvement.
The latter part of the week could seem like a bonanza of invitations, engagements and a severe case of the too muches. It would be wise for us to maintain a budget, for the excitement and desires for immediate gratification could have us ratcheting up our credit card debt.
In our consumer society, where in the US the consumer accounts for 70% of the GDP, the bombardment of stimuli seduces us with opportunities to buy this, purchase that and go on a spending spree with our concentration lost to our immediate responses.
The weekend can be pleasant and we could remind ourselves of the classic popular song that ‘the best things in life are free’.
The week closes out on the Sunday with a blast, although these blasts may be unnerving, explosive and shake the ground upon which we walk.
This is a week of liable extremes with some high points and some low points. We might wish to engage the Buddhist concept of ‘the middle path’ and moderation in all things.
Monday, November 30th – Don’t Stop – Saturn, Sun, Mars. This is the last day of November and the end of what may have been a long US holiday of Thanksgiving week and weekend. Not that we are likely to close the door on the holidays. No, the holidays have just begun. Black Friday has spread from the US into many other countries and foreign lands. And today is Cyber Monday. Yes, the holiday buying frenzy has just begun. The Leo Moon today trines both Saturn and the Sun both in Sagittarius and the Moon sextiles Mars in Libra. We might have difficulty getting back in sync with our daily routine. On the contrary, we might be drawn to situations that are foreign to our everyday existence. We could be making plans for distant travels in some future time. We might also consider our intended holiday gift giving and forge into the malls or traipse into virtual space to take advantage of Cyber Monday sales. We are likely to be in an upbeat attitude today and more engaged in what will provide us pleasure and enjoyment rather than serious consideration of our budget or financial constraints. This is one of those days when we might live for today and not worry about tomorrow. While it would be wise to keep track of our purchases and our financial expenditures, we could tend to just go for it, justifying our purchases as engaging some marvelous sales. Today and tomorrow may have us expanding beyond reason with excess and indulgence as our constant companions.
Tuesday, December 1st – Magic and Mini-Miracles – Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Uranus, Venus. Tuesday can be something of a spectacular day. This is a day for us to be open to unexpected surprises. The Leo Moon today triggers a Fire Grand Trine with the Moon trine Mercury in Sagittarius and the Moon trine Uranus in Aries. The Moon also sextiles Venus, and Mercury trines Uranus. Serendipity may be in play today, so it would be suggested that we not overly book this day but rather be open to the spontaneous and the ability to act on the spur of the moment. Tuesday can reveal the true spirit of this holiday time, a sense of things working out perfectly even if in the most unexpected fashion. This is a day for wondrous incidents to occur. Like little children, we may witness the awe and wonder of the universal unfolding in the most magical manner. We could hear some exciting news, be made aware of future possibilities for us that we had never considered possible. We might even experience some wondrous events. Things are operating at the optimum so long as we are open to the magic, don’t try and force things and appreciate the asequential realities of these times. Yes, this Tuesday could be a day of magic and mini-miracles.
Wednesday, December 2nd – Twist and Shout – Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Saturn. After the past two days that might have had us in seventh heaven, enjoying life and embracing good cheer, Wednesday is a day of a different order. The T-Square that we have been dealing with all Fall and will continue to do so into the Summer of 2016 is engaged today by the Moon in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces and the Moon squaring Saturn in Sagittarius. This can be a whipsaw day, a time when we are seeing the half glass of water as half empty rather than half full. We have to avoid getting hypercritical or overly negative today, for we may be in a world of confusion, having grave difficulty figuring things out but still willing to shoot from the lip. The liability of trying to take care of too many things, all the while resenting what needs to get done, is strong today. We could easily wear ourselves out carping about this or that but without any definitive resolution to our whining. This is a day for us to try and slow things down, prioritize and even plan out our activities. Otherwise, we could wind up in a whirlwind of activity but going around in circles like a dog chasing its tail.
Thursday, December 3rd – Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood – Sun, Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter. Thursday has the Virgo Moon square both the Sun and Mercury, the Moon trine Pluto and the Moon conjunct Jupiter. We can accomplish a great deal today, but we have to avoid glossing over things or biting off more than we can chew. We may feel hemmed in by our responsibilities and might want to do something other than what we need to get done. Thursday calls for prioritizing and scheduling. Our tendency today could be to leap before we look. Interesting sidelights can prove distracting and we might grab at any diversion. Even if we engage involvements that aren’t related to our routine matters, we are merely postponing the inevitable of having to address the tasks at hand. Let’s do what needs to be done expeditiously and in a focused manner. Once we accomplish our obligations, we can then consider broadening our realm and expanding our interests. This is a day when we need to concentrate and not allow ourselves to go off into mental meanderings. If we don’t keep our eye on the ball, we might have a good time but we could also be liable to screwing things up and being misunderstood.
Friday, December 4th – La-De-Da – Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus Scorpio. The Virgo Moon goes Void-of-Course for over seventeen and a half hours today as the Moon makes no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra later in the day. Mercury squares Jupiter, and Venus exits its own Sign of Libra to enter Scorpio, a Sign of its Detriment where Venus is not at all comfortable. Whether we have this Friday off or not, there may be no one home today. Our thoughts are elsewhere, possibly thinking about upcoming holiday events and justifying our tuning out from mundane affairs to engage the plans for the holidays. We may be feeling good about things and our imagination can be heightened. And therein lies the problem. We could easily convince ourselves that everything is right in our world and we might even feel that we can do whatever we want with few negative consequences to our actions. Such an attitude could prove a prescription for disaster. While we might want to be generous to a fault, it would be wise for us to keep tabs on our finances — our revenue stream[s] and our fixed expenses. Despite what the media might trumpet, the economy is not as strong as they make it out to be. Gas prices may have come down, but other basic costs have certainly risen. Now is not a time for us to shrug our shoulders and echo ‘la-de-da’ but rather a time for us to be astute as to our conditions and to be adaptable to any changing circumstances.
Saturday, December 5th – Let’s Get the Party Going – Saturn, Sun, Mars, Pluto. Saturday has the Libra Moon sextile both Saturn and the Sun both in Sagittarius. The Moon conjuncts Mars and the Moon squares Pluto. Holiday gatherings can be at hand, and we may enjoy the connections and reconnections we make during holiday events. This Saturday can be a pleasant day. Everyone may seem to be in the holiday spirit. This can be a day of catching up with various people. We do have to be wary of what we commit to, for the excitement of our get-togethers could lead to future plans which sound great upon the agreement but might prove to be onerous in the commitment. This is also a day for us to keep our ear to the railroad track, for certain things could be unwinding in the world-at-large that could cause us some upset.
Sunday, December 6th – Boom, Bang, Crash – Uranus, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Mars, Pluto. The Libra Moon today opposes Uranus and the Moon sextiles Mercury. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio tomorrow. The Sun sextiles Mars, and Mars squares Pluto. Saturday evening, we might have gotten a whiff of something in the world just not being quite right. It could have been our own personal situation or something much larger in the world. Whatever the inkling of unease might have been last night, it could be far more apparent on this Sunday. This is a day when we have to be wary of overreactions, explosive behavior and even the possibility of intense storm systems or geophysical activity of earthquake or volcanic eruptions. The drums of warlike sentiments and martial action may be heard, whether earsplitting or muffled. This Sunday is a day when we need to tread lightly and not raise the ire of someone or even of ourselves. Whatever goes on in the second half of this Sunday could crescendo through this next week.
