We may feel as though we are at sixes and sevens this week. The liability of our feeling overwhelmed and totally on overload with our anxiety ratcheted up cannot be discounted.
In market psychology, there is the recognition that two emotions drive the markets: fear and greed. These two driving forces can be strong. The powers-that-be draw upon fear to enforce their authority and consolidate their power. Recent events and projected trajectories have ratcheted up people’s anxieties with many of us looking here and there for some danger, DANGER. Several people this past week have expressed to me their concern about possible danger and inquired of me as to whether their charts indicated that they would be safe or in danger if they ventured into this city or that city.
Let’s keep in mind the acronym for fear — false evidence appearing real. The first ‘spiritual’ classic I read as a youngster was Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi, and one phrase in that book has always stood out for me: ‘face fear and it will cease to trouble you.’
This week may be slow starting. We might have strange encounters to begin the week as someone’s situation could conflict with our plans and necessitate our helping them out.
We could have great intentions during this week, and we can accomplish a great deal when we get the green light to go ahead with what we need to get done. We may put on our blinders and do what needs to be done. We might not be happy about what we’re doing but any questioning of our actions could only lead to depletion and depression. This is a week when it would be suggested that we have our ‘to do’ list well-planned with the idea that we take things step-by-step, checking off the items on our ‘to do’ list without spending much time on the whys and wherefores.
We can accomplish what needs to get done, but it would be wise for us to maintain a narrow focus and not concern ourselves with incidents that might be occurring in the world-at-large. This timeframe could see some intense storm systems with catastrophic results, and our emotions could be easily played and preyed upon.
Our moods can be a little sour and our energy flagging at this end of November.
Let’s keep in mind that often what appears to be going on is but an illusion, events manipulated that create delusion.
Monday, November 23rd – You or Me – Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Venus, Uranus. The week begins with the Moon in Aries and Void-of-Course since Sunday afternoon with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus today. The Taurus Moon today sextiles Neptune, and Venus opposes Uranus. This day can be slow starting with a likely preference for us to be somewhere other than where we are. This is also in the US Thanksgiving week and, thus, we might be far more interested in the upcoming holiday than in what we need to get done. Relationships could be a little dicey, so it would be wise for us to maintain a charm and diplomacy to other people. There can still be some startling engagements with people acting in a self-focused manner with little consideration of what is going on with other people. We might feel obligated to put our own interests on the back burner as we help someone out of a fix they got themselves into. We may want to be of service but we are likely to resent self-sacrifice or doing more than would be appropriate.
Tuesday, November 24th – Keep Eyes on the Road – Lunar Grand Trine, Pluto, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Mercury. Tuesday can be a highly productive day if we are willing to put on blinders and focus on what lies right ahead of us. The Taurus Moon today creates an Earth Grand Trine as the Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon trines Jupiter in Virgo. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost sixteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini tomorrow. Mars sextiles Saturn, and Mercury conjuncts Saturn. Someone can be a better advocate for us today than we might be for ourselves. We could feel as though our vision is narrow and our goals beyond our capabilities, but someone may suggest we get over ourselves, appreciate our qualities and engage our talents. We may not set the world on fire today, but we need not fall into a pit of despair. Let’s keep in mind that every journey begins with the first step. We can accomplish a great deal today, even if we are merely going step by step. Each step brings us to completion of certain projects and closer to expanding our goals. We might feel as though we are only trudging forward but the important thing to remember is that we are in movement. No matter whether we are moving forward, sideways or backwards, the dynamic today is the movement. No pity party today. Not when we can get so much done. There will be plenty of times, enough days, of pity partying, just let’s not do it on this Tuesday.
Wednesday, November 25th – Running in Place – Moon Void-of-Course, Gemini Full Moon, Lunar T-Square, Sun, Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Mars. Wednesday is the proverbial ‘hump’ day, although this Wednesday might not seem like a ‘hump’ day coming as it does right before tomorrow’s US Thanksgiving. Besides the holiday tomorrow impacting today, this Wednesday also has some off-the-chart energies. The day seems to start slowly due to the Moon being Void-of-Course that began yesterday with the Taurus Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before entering Gemini today. The Gemini Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square and by Sign a Mutable Sign Grand Cross. The Moon opposes both the Sun and Saturn in Sagittarius and the Moon squares Neptune in Pisces today. Mercury squares Neptune, and Mercury sextiles Mars. The energy today can have us everywhere and on a race to nowhere. If we are trying to get out of town, we could find ourselves in a traffic maze, bumping along and getting nowhere fast. Communications can be off with a liability to miscommunications and misunderstandings. This could be one of those days when we leap before we look, for we want to get on with it, even if we have absolutely no idea what the ‘it’ might be. With the media and the authorities likely to play the fear trump, we have to be wary of getting anxious, fearful and then just going on reactive mode. This is a day for us to try and slow things down, repeat the Serenity prayer mantram-like, and accept a bemusement at humanity’s foibles, including our own.
Thursday, November 26th – Attitude of Gratitude – Mars, Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Neptune. Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the US, a day when we can count our blessings for all the incredible gifts life has presented us. Unfortunately, there is a tendency for us to take some of our blessings for granted with an attitude of entitlement and expectation of ever more. Thanksgiving nowadays is less a Norman Rockwell image of grateful thanks than a Hallmark Holiday of interfering obligation. Today, the Gemini Moon trines Mars in Libra, the Moon sextiles Uranus in Aries and the Moon trines Venus in Libra. The Moon also continues with a Mutable Sign T-Square with different players, as the Moon opposes Mercury and the Moon squares Jupiter. Saturn squares Neptune. If we are traveling to be with friends and family, or if we are entertaining on this Thursday, we might have great expectations about the gathering. Great expectations are likely to be met by slight, or great, disappointment. The more we can appreciate what we have with other people, focus on our personal worlds and leave to another day pontificating on the problems in the world in all its varied facets, the more we can enjoy this day. Even if we feel that things aren’t going exactly the way we might want them to, let’s appreciate the special people in our lives and be grateful for all that we have. An attitude of gratitude goes a long way towards realizing the beauties in our living. Our moods can go through wild swings today, but we may also become aware of possibilities that we have not considered and see characteristics in some people we have not been aware of before. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost sixteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer later on Friday.
Friday, November 27th – The Comforts of Home – Moon Void-of-Course. Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and in the US this day is referred to as ‘Black Friday’ as stores launch their holiday shopping spree, although it seems as though holiday decorations go up sooner every year with pre ‘Black Friday’ sales events. While many people are likely to be camping out and at the stores ready for their opening, this Friday starts off with the continuation of the Void-of-Course Moon that began yesterday as the Gemini Moon makes no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer later on this Friday. There are no aspects on this Friday, so no matter what our plans might be, there just isn’t a great deal of focused energy today. There may be some frazzled energy as we start the day, but then replaced by the desire to enjoy the sanctity of home with family members gathered around.
Saturday, November 28th – Good Intentions – Neptune, Lunar Grand Cross, Mars, Pluto, Uranus. Saturday can have us brimming with good intentions as to what we wish to do on this Saturday. The Moon trines Neptune before the Moon triggers a Cardinal Grand Cross with the Moon square Mars in Libra, the Moon opposed Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon square Uranus in Aries. We may have a great deal on our plate on this Saturday. Whether we got into the holiday swing of things yesterday or the day before, we are likely to be fully engaged in the holiday spirits on this Saturday. We could be all over the place today — dealing with clean up details, decorating our homes for the holidays, preparing for the gift-giving season, imbibing good cheer and all liable to running ourselves ragged. We might want to keep in mind, no matter what our good intentions might be, the aphorism that ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions’. This is a day when we could easily exhaust ourselves with all that we have planned for this day, as well as unexpected situations that could curry our favor. It would be wise for us to try and slow things down, not get caught up in a whirlwind of frenzied activity and prioritize our involvements. It might be wise for us to do so but not something we are likely to do.
Sunday, November 29th – After the Fall – Jupiter, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Neptune, Saturn. After a possibly hectic Saturday, Sunday could have us feeling like the air has been sucked out of our tires. The day begins with the Cancer Moon sextile Jupiter and the Moon square Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo late in the day. The Sun squares Neptune and the Sun conjuncts Saturn. We may wake up expecting some form of appreciation for what we have done, but such appreciation might not be forthcoming. We might even have a sense that no matter how much we do for someone, it just is never enough for them. We have to watch our moods today, for our emotions can be raw with us prone to feeling disheartened and discouraged. Before we fall into an emotional morass and engage a self pity party for a party of one, we might want to take a deep breath, detach ourselves from the mundane affairs and seek an escape into something that brings us great pleasure. We might be confused today so it would be suggested that we suspend judgment and defer any major decisions until we regroup and regain a better sense of self
