This week can provide us with something of a wakeup call. The more we see things clearly, the better able we shall be to navigate the currents of our circumstances.
The week begins with a focused intent as we look to rid ourselves of situations that have no real purpose but to take up our time. We can take care of what needs to be done, but we are not especially interested in wasting our energies on the superfluous or extraneous.
Things that have been operating behind the scenes or have clouded our vision can be revealed. If we don’t want to make people aware of what is going on with us, then we had better hold our cards close to our chest, maintain our own counsel and not let slip any clues or indications regarding our deeply held secrets.
The mid-part of the week can provide a certain awakening, but what we see may not be to our liking. Revelations are not always wonderful surprises. This mid-week period could have us pulling back the curtain to the Wizard of Oz screen and revealing the little guy pulling the strings. Image and appearance may have been enthralling, but now we are looking for the cold, hard evidence of true reality.
The end of the week and the weekend can have us speaking our truth. Let’s bear in mind our audience, for some of what we might have to say may not find a receptive response. This end of the week has both Mercury and then the Sun exiting Scorpio to enter Sagittarius.
On the one hand, we might feel a kind of uplift, a breath of fresh air and the ability to shift and move. On the other hand, we are entering a period when the Mutable Sign T-Square with Jupiter in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces is triggered repeatedly. We may not know whether we are coming or going, but it would be wise for us to now and again step off the track, get out of Dodge and allow ourselves a fresh perspective to consider what is really going on.
Monday, November 16th – Fleet of Foot, Adept at Clearing – Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with the Moon finishing its transit of Capricorn. The Moon today squares Uranus, the Moon trines Jupiter and the Moon sextiles both Mercury and the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius in the early hours of Tuesday. No matter what our plans might be for this Monday, we could experience an outstanding matter demanding our attention and forcing us to address it rather than our intended plans of engaging new projects. Feeling the wind to our back, we can accomplish a great deal today. We may be juggling several different activities today, but we also have the ability to clear the decks, take care of what needs to get done and focus on the truly significant. This is not a day to waste, for we can handle any number of things and create space so that we can use the next two days engaging friends and colleagues about future goals and interesting diversions.
Tuesday, November 17th – Engagements Far and Near – Mars, Saturn, Venus, Sun, Mercury. The Moon enters Aquarius where today the Moon trines both Mars and Venus in Libra and the Moon sextiles Saturn. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. Our thoughts can be intense, to the point, and focused on the truly meaningful. We may draw upon other people for suggestions, advice or their opinion. But we are also looking for discussions to be concise and succinct. No small talk for us today, we are more interested in considering our options and figuring out our ways to achieve our goals. We do have to be wary that people don’t become fixed in their opinions and rigid in their assessments. It would be wise for us to keep in mind that these times require that we be flexible and adaptable. Fortunately, our mind’s eye can be laser-like today, stripping away the veneer to see what is at the heart of any matter. We may draw upon other people’s assessments today, but we are unlikely to reveal all that is going on within ourselves.
Wednesday, November 18th – Anywhere but Here – Uranus, Neptune direct. The Aquarius Moon today sextiles Uranus. Neptune ends its five-month retrograde cycle and turns direct. We may be far more interested in our plans for the future than what is happening in our mundane world today. We can devise all sorts of projects for our future and projects that would allow us greater autonomy and freedom of movement. We might embrace the sentiment of ‘the grass being greener’, and we could spend much of our day in the reveries of anywhere but where we are. Unexpected situations could arise that require our attention. Unfortunately, clarity may be somewhat lacking. What looks good to us can prove to be a mirage, so let’s not jump at whatever catches our fancy without taking into account the possible consequences of our decisions and actions and without recognizing the liability of collateral issues. We may have our head in the clouds today, but we need to keep our feet on the ground.
Thursday, November 19th – Restrained by Reality – Sun, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune. The day begins with the Aquarius Moon square both the Sun and Mercury. The Moon then enters Pisces where today the Pisces Moon squares Saturn and the Moon conjuncts Neptune. We may have come up with some great plans for ourselves, but our fantasies can hit some real truths. We might realize that we don’t have the resources of time, money or energy to pull off some of our greatest capers. As if the helium has been let out of our balloon, we could feel slightly deflated as we start this day. We could also discover that our routine responsibilities are taking up much of our time. This is a day when we may just have to ‘grin and bear it’, deal with our obligations, all the while putting on the back burner our greatest intentions. Just because we cannot accomplish what we want to do when we want to do it right now, that doesn’t mean that our grand schemes are not possibilities for our future. It would be wise to recall that these times speak to asequential reality, a paradigm shift where magic and mini-miracles can occur. To encourage ourselves, we might want to remember the paraphrased words of the motivational writer Napoleon Hill: “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” We may not have our spectacular dreams realized today or tomorrow, but no one can say authoritatively that our hopes and wishes are but idle fantasies. Let’s dream our dreams no matter how unrealistic they might seem. Wish lists and treasure maps provide a greater affirmation of our desires at some time being realized.
Friday, November 20th – Touch and Go – Pluto, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury Sagittarius. Friday has the Pisces Moon sextile Pluto and the Moon opposed Jupiter. Venus squares Pluto and Mercury exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius, a Sign of Mercury’s Detriment where Mercury is not especially comfortable. We may be especially focused as we start this Friday, ready to clear the deck, deal with what needs to get done and tie up loose ends before we come into the weekend. As the day progresses, we might put away our tools and give greater consideration to our social engagements. Relationships could be a little dicey. We might feel as though people want too much from us, that their demands go beyond their needs and to their expectation that we accommodate them to the point of capitulation. There can be a liability towards verbal arm wrestling or a posturing that can be irritating or aggravating at best. It would be wise for us to maintain our grace and charm and not be affected by someone’s obstreperous behavior. Mercury entering Sagittarius increases the emphasis of the Mutable Sign T-Square as Mercury joins Saturn in Sagittarius, to be joined on Sunday with the Sun entering Sagittarius. The Sagittarian-transiting planets square Jupiter in Virgo and square Neptune in Pisces. The wild swings of volatility may be heightened with few glimpses of real clarity.
Saturday, November 21st – Tying Up Loose Ends Before Heading Out – Sun, Mercury, Mars, Saturn. The Pisces Moon trines the Sun in Scorpio on the last day of the Sun’s transit of Scorpio. We may start the day dealing with our errands, home projects and our ‘to do’ list. The Moon then moves into Aries where today the Moon trines both Mercury and Saturn and the Moon opposes Mars. If we don’t accomplish all our tasks in the early morning hours, we are likely to leave them behind as we look to get out of Dodge and roam the four corners of the world. We might not go to that extent, but we are likely to want to engage some fun activities and would prefer to do so with someone who wants to participate in similar involvements. We may have some grand plans and even if we assume some of our plans would take us too far, we are unlikely to clip our own wings in broadening our reach and going to the limits and beyond. This can be a day of re-creational pursuits, sports activities, walking nature trails or just driving around. Whatever our mode of transport, this is a day for a good old walkabout or vision quest.
Sunday, November 22nd – Bye Bye Blackbird – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Venus, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun Sagittarius, Sagittarius Stellium. Sunday has the Aries Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Pluto, the Moon opposes Venus and the Moon conjuncts Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over twenty-one hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus on Monday. The Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius and creates a Stellium of three planets in Sagittarius as the Sun joins Mercury and Saturn in the Mutable Fire Sign. With this power pack in Sagittarius we also have an increased emphasis upon the Mutable Sign T-Square with Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. This Sunday is a day when we might engage the sentiments from the 1926 popular classic song Bye Bye Blackbird:
”No one here can love and understand me
Oh, what hard-luck stories they all hand me
You’d better make my bed
And light the light, I’ll arrive late tonight
Blackbird, bye-bye, goodbye”
Sunday could be a day when we might want to leave behind much of the mishegas related to our everyday world. We may feel as though we just want to step out of our circumstances, do something different and take a journey to anywhere other than where we are. If we leave it to other people today, we could find ourselves in a start and stop syndrome or else just spinning our wheels. We might not have a direction in mind today, but the sense of movement can be invigorating, like a good spell of airing out. We could cast our fate to the winds and just take off. And why not? There are times when getting out of Dodge allows us a fresh perspective and also provides us with the ability of feeling less impacted by the conditions around us or the circumstances in the world at large. We all need a breath of fresh air now and again, and this Sunday is a good day to take in a good deep breath.
