Not that recent weeks have been smooth sailing by any means, but this week could seem especially choppy with liabilities to feeling swamped by the waves, other times of our compass misdirecting us.
The week may be slow starting, but we might get a hint that things could be slightly out of whack. As the week proceeds, we could find ourselves banging into things, blocked by impediments and trying to push through ‘come hell or high water’.
The early part of this week demands that we keep our wits about us and not act impetuously or forcefully. The tai chi moves of being aware of the energies operating and working with those energies are imperative. Otherwise, we may find ourselves on a slippery slope, acting without thinking and being confused by mixed signals.
The mid-week period allows us to put our best foot forward, engage our creative talents and to stand out in a unique and interesting manner. What we do with our dramatic presentation is certainly up to us, but we do have the likelihood of starting new projects that allow us greater autonomy and give an indication of our versatility. We can impress someone with our style and capability.
The latter part of the week may have us dealing with various issues that we might have put aside. Even if we would prefer to postpone certain matters, we may have to address outstanding affairs before they become incendiary situations. Old patterns, old connections may have to be resolved before we can move ahead unencumbered.
Mercury turns direct on Friday, but it might just be a little early to exhale a sigh of relief. Whenever Mercury turns direction, there can be mishaps, miscommunications, misunderstandings and all sorts of squirrely difficulties and let’s keep in mind that this Mercury retrograde highlighted, or lowlighted, our relationships and technology. I have certainly been spending my time in virtual space with computer issues.
The weekend can have us taking care of errands and reworking any relationship issues that might have come up over the past three weeks. There is not a great deal of energy on Saturday to do more than tie up loose ends.
The weekend ends on the dark side of the Moon, prior to next Monday’s New Moon. We can accomplish a great deal with our attention focused on someone else’s needs or interests. We may have to put our own personal wishes on the back burner to iron out any wrinkles we might have with someone. Let’s keep in mind that we are not islands unto ourselves and that the people in our life are, and deserve, the quality of our time.
Monday, October 5th – Cautiously Taking a Risk – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with the Cancer Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-one and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo tomorrow. Whatever we have scheduled for this Monday, we would probably prefer to be somewhere else. We might feel that our past and family matters are clipping our wings, curtailing our autonomy and preventing us from doing what we want to do. This is a day when we could find ourselves stewing in our own juices, wanting to break free and away from some of our past involvements. We may want to fly but question whether we have the wings and persistence to forge ahead in new directions. If we keep in mind that every journey begins with the first step, even just a baby step, then we can cautiously move forward in a new direction or in a different way from what we are used to. There is not a great deal of energy today, so let’s give thought to our true purpose and real interests with the understanding that intention can be the primary motivator of change.
Tuesday, October 6th – Itching Under the Skin – Saturn, Mercury, Sun, Pluto, Mars, Neptune. Tuesday can ramp up the energy. The Moon moves into Leo where today the Moon trines Saturn and the Moon sextiles Mercury. The Sun squares Pluto, Mercury sextiles Saturn and Mars opposes Neptune. This is a day when we might feel as though something is bugging us and we just want to relieve the itch. We do need to be careful that in addressing our itch, we don’t itch off our skin and make ourselves bleed. This is a day to rein in our emotions and prevent impetuous actions. From a belief that might only be a delusion we could rush ahead into situations that seem so clear from the outside looking in, only to discover a maze of illusions should we enter without clear forethought and deliberation as to what is going on and how we can best rectify the situation. This is a day for us to think before we act. Our presence can be dramatic and effective, so long as we don’t just stumble forward. We may want to take giant leaps today, but it would be far better for us to take things one step at a time today with the recognition that each step we take be sure-footed.
Wednesday, October 7th – Patience Rewards – Sun, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday continues with the Leo Moon and today the Moon sextiles the Sun and the Moon trines Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-three hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon moves into Virgo tomorrow. If we didn’t stumble over ourselves or fall into a deep pit that we couldn’t get ourselves out from yesterday, then our refusal to give into impetuous actions can be well rewarded on this Wednesday. Someone might appreciate what we have to offer. We could be well rewarded for what we’ve done and how we have done it. We can impress people and gain their support for our cause. With our charm, grace and style, we could move into new directions, emphasize our creative abilities, and find that our projects advance smoothly and easily. If we are open to thrilling surprises, we might discover that doors are opening up to us and all we have to do is be willing to walk through the doorway. The energy dies down in the later hours, but we can bask in the glow of the magic and mini-miracles we may have been privy to today.
Thursday, October 8th – Content Inside the Packages – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn, Venus Virgo. Thursday begins with the Void-of-Course Moon transiting through Leo without making any further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo later in the day. Venus exits Leo to enter Virgo. The Virgo Moon conjuncts Venus and the Moon squares Saturn. As we start this day, we might be smiling like the Cheshire Cat from ear to ear. We can be very well pleased with ourselves in the morning hours. We might take the time to luxuriate in the warmth of our own ‘feel good’ attitude, and why not? Life is not always a bowl of cherries but rather often provides us only with the pits. But not as we begin this Thursday. Our spirits are high and we can be feeling confident and optimistic about our talents. Maybe we were open to the magic and mini-miracles we might have seen yesterday that affirmed, once again, that we do not have to do it all. We have a friend in the universe and in the paradigm shift where things don’t always occur in a sequential manner but can happen in the most random ways. As Thursday progresses, Venus exits Leo to enter Virgo, followed by the Moon exiting Leo to enter Virgo where today the Moon conjuncts Venus and the Moon squares Saturn. We may be looking at our relationships as to how we can serve them and how they can serve us. We do have to be wary that we don’t become overly critical of someone’s character quirk[s] or that we become overly accommodating to win someone’s praises. Thursday could have us tripped up by a matter that we skimmed over and that we might have left out important details. We can clean up our act, take care of outstanding matters and bring closure to unresolved situations.
Friday, October 9th – Back and Forth – Neptune, Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury direct. Friday continues with the Virgo Moon. The Moon today opposes Neptune, conjuncts both Mars and Jupiter, and the Moon trines Pluto. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for thirty-four and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra on Sunday. Friday also sees Mercury ending its three-week retrograde cycle to turn direct. This is a day when need to be focused, but that may be a tall order on this day. We could chase after moonbeams if we don’t keep our feet on the ground and our concentration on the immediate. Even then, it may be a tall order for us not to sideswipe or get sideswiped by the energies today. Whenever Mercury changes direction, things can get squirrely. There can be traffic delays, miscommunications, misunderstandings and screw-ups with technology. This is a day for us to take things step by step, always checking and re-evaluating what we have done as we go along. It would be wiser to concentrate on the specifics and details and not get distracted by the big picture. As the saying goes: “If you look after the pennies, the dollars will look after themselves.” And so it for us on this Friday. It would be far better for us to attend to the particulars and not be as concerned by the gestalt.
Saturday, October 10th – Obligatory Occasions – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn. Saturday continues with the Void-of-Course Virgo Moon that began yesterday as the Moon makes no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra on Sunday. There is not a great deal of energy today, although there can be a critical mass. Venus in Virgo squares Saturn in Sagittarius. We may have certain commitments or obligations that we have to fulfill today. We might not be pleased with the idea, but grumbling or resenting the fact can only make matters worse. We need to be on our best behavior today, since social skills may be lacking and people may be harping about their critique and criticism of this person, that person, and virtually everyone. If we encounter people from our past or people we haven’t heard from in a while, our best approach would be to be diplomatic, charming and complimentary. Let’s not go into our opinions or judgments for we could only stir up a hornet’s nest. If we can easily postpone plans today, we might far prefer to have some quiet time and putter around our home base.
Sunday, October 11th – Another Notch on the Belt – Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, Sun, Uranus. Okay, it may be a little self-serving but this Sunday has me celebrating another birthday. Who would have thunk it? Back in 1995, I almost didn’t see another birthday coming, but I dodged that bullet, just wasn’t able to dodge the semi hitting my car broadside as I spun around I-95 from black ice. This Sunday has the Libra Moon conjunct Mercury and the Moon sextile Saturn. We are on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s Libra New Moon. Jupiter trines Pluto and the Sun opposes Uranus. We may feel as if we have gained a second wind today, especially after that very long Virgo Moon Void-of-Course that lasted for thirty-four and a half hours and ended in the early morning of this Sunday, as the Moon entered Libra. This is a day for us to enjoy the company of others, to engage in pleasant conversations and to realize that what we have been through and experienced have brought us to where we are today. We may feel a new sense of ourselves, and we might feel better able to achieve our goals, make manifest our dreams. New insights about ourselves with a willingness to engage a best practices approach could provide us greater autonomy in our lives and yet capable of doing what we need to get done. Things can fall neatly into place today, but it would be wise for us to embrace humility and recognize that much of our good luck is with the assistance of the universe unfolding.
