October 26th – November 1st, 2015

This week can have us smoothly running a marathon with our rhythm and pace well-considered, our plans and activities well-executed and with us picking up the pace into more of a sprint toward the latter part of the week.

The early part of the week is punctuated on Tuesday with the Taurus Full Moon. The first half of the week can find us highly productive and advocating our interests with finesse and style. We are unlikely to let anything fall between the cracks, at least in the first half of this week. We’ve got it going on, thanks to our visionary sense and a little elbow grease. This is not a week when we have to roll the boulder up the mountain but rather can use expeditious means and winch our boulders quickly and easily.

Despite our effectiveness and productivity early in the week, we may be scrambling as we come off of ‘hump’ day and enter into Thursday and Friday. While our earlier procession may have been expertly arranged with nothing out of place and everything appealing, a rush to judgment on Thursday and Friday can have us veering off into pitfalls and miscues.

We might have been so effective earlier in the week that we just assume that everything would continue in the same tenor. Possibly not, and we could find ourselves in the latter part of the week trying to do too much without giving serious thought to what we’re doing or how we’re doing it. We might need to rein in our irrational exuberance and ill-conceived assumptions.

A cascade of ideas and incoming communications can open wide the door of possibilities, so wide that we can hardly make sense of any of it. We could dither about from one thing to another, participate in a scavenger hunt without any meaningful clues and find ourselves going around in circles. We just have to slow things down and know when to act and when not to act. Sun Tzu, where are you when we need you?

Fortunately, the weekend gives us a breather, as the energy slows down and we can catch our breath, take the time to regroup and allow ourselves family time. Staying around home on the weekend, attending to home projects and just relaxing with family and friends can provide us a necessary recharge and time to appreciate all the blessings in our lives.

Monday, October 26th – I Did it My Way – Uranus, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday starts the week with the Aries Moon conjunct Uranus and the Moon opposed Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus. No matter what people might say or what we might believe to be the ‘right’ way, this Monday is a day when we are likely to accentuate our individuality, do our own thing and even look to stand out rather than to fit in. We may not get kudos from other people today, but we are far more interested in stretching our wings and exploring new facets of our being. This past week could have had some intense conversations or explosive outbursts thanks to Mercury squaring Pluto last Thursday and then Mercury opposing Uranus last evening, on Sunday night. Even if we tried to charm our way through some of the verbal peccadillos last week, Monday could still have some haunting aspects with our relationships. But we are less concerned about other people’s feelings or input than we are with us taking machete in hand and carving our own path today. There may not be a great deal of energy to get things done today, but we can enjoy the Walter Mitty-like mental meanderings of grand adventures and audacious explorations.

Tuesday, October 27th – Brain and Brawn Together – Taurus Full Moon, Sun, Neptune, Pluto. Tuesday has the Moon moving into Taurus and the Taurus Full Moon as the Moon opposes the Sun. The Moon sextiles Neptune and the Moon trines Pluto today. Tuesday can be a day when we could draw upon our visionary sense, our ability of foresight to devise a best practices approach to our life’s engagements. Add to our heightened intuitive sense the ability to focus on the most meaningful and prioritize our involvements and we have a day when we can accomplish a great deal in a concentrated manner. Just like life itself, first we develop the idea and then the implementation. This Tuesday allows us to combine brain and brawn together, to be highly effective, highly productive and to do so with flair and style. Tuesday and Wednesday might be the highlights of this week for getting things done. Let’s not try and force issues today but rather emphasize the most important matters in a resourceful way. We might feel that we don’t have the skill set to do what needs to be done, but the first step of any journey is considering the task at hand and then using the tools available for the implementation of our plans.

Wednesday, October 28th – Not Missing a Beat – Jupiter, Venus, Mars. Yesterday began a two-day campaign of getting things done — achievements and accomplishments. Wednesday has the Taurus Moon trining the Virgo-transiting planets of Jupiter, Venus and Mars. This is a day when we can fine tune and hone our various projects. We may be more detail-oriented today. We might have gotten our game plan on yesterday, considered the facets of our big picture. Today is a day for us to deal with the little picture — the specifics, the particulars, the parts that make up the whole. If we did the proper planning yesterday, this Wednesday may not seem like ‘hump’ day but rather an easy slide of checking off various items on our ‘to do’ list. We may be going step-by-step today, but our steps may seem like giant leaps in completing many of our varied tasks. If we are looking for a makeover — whether in our personal appearance, our home environment, our work situation or any other facet of our lives — yesterday and today are the days for us to do so. We can create an interesting palette and an action plan that doesn’t skip a beat, all the while that we are presenting ourselves in a refined and accomplished manner.

Thursday, October 29th – Let the Games Begin – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Neptune. Tuesday and Wednesday might have had us swimming along without any impediments in our way. We may have felt that we were taking care of business, doing more in a shorter period of time than usual, and things fitting neatly and quickly into place. If only such energies could continue on indefinitely! But cycles are cycles and phases are phases. We are living in a most volatile of times. There is a real roller coaster of incredible up and downs going on during these times. Just as the past two days could have put us on a real high, Thursday and Friday might prove far more convoluted. Since Saturn moved into Sagittarius and Jupiter moved into Virgo, we have entered a year-long Mutable Sign T-Square with the planets of Expansion [Jupiter] and Contraction [Saturn] caroming against Neptune in Pisces and creating these wild whipsaws, sometimes leaving us wondering what is up and what is down. This Thursday and Friday engage the Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon in Gemini opposed Saturn and the Moon square Neptune today. Prodded on by the past two days effectiveness, we might believe that we can do no harm and that everything will flow smoothly for us. Unfortunately, a lack of humility and a sense of invincibility could prove our undoing. Thursday may have us trying to cover ever so many bases but with various stumbling blocks in our way and a lack of prioritization that could have us spinning our wheels. In our mind’s eye, we may believe that we can accomplish a great deal today, but our tendency to gloss over the details, to run faster ahead and further along than our actual capabilities can accomplish might set up a house of cards where the weight of reality could bring the whole thing down. Today is a day for us to rein in our enthusiasm, deal with what needs to be done and not get ahead of ourselves.

Friday, October 30th – Tomorrow, Tomorrow – Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Sun, Neptune. After a frazzled Thursday, we might determine Friday as a day to put off today what we can do tomorrow. Our head might just not be in the game today. The Gemini Moon sextiles Uranus and the Moon trines Mercury. The Moon squares the Virgo-transiting planets of Jupiter, Venus and Mars. The Sun trines Neptune. Even if we attend to business and what needs to get done, we are likely to be distracted by possibilities and future plans and unable to focus on the specifics of today. Although we might be thinking T.G.I.F. [thank goodness it’s Friday], we may have already left the building before this day has even begun. If we could spend our time in new projects and activities that speak to us and soothe our spirit, we are likely to do so on this Friday. Our thoughts can be in some wonderland of the future but a future where the details aren’t spelled out and that in truth could only be some sort of neverland. Engagements with other people can be fun and enlivening. This is a day when we might choose to play hooky from our responsibilities and do whatever catches our attention and captures our fancy. And why not, especially when our attention may not be on what is right in front of us but rather looking out over a vast landscape of future prospects.

Saturday, October 31st – It’s Not Just for Kids Anymore – Lunar Grand Trine, Neptune, Sun. Saturday is Halloween, a day when children and more recently adults can dress up in costume, stepping out of their own identity to put on a fanciful identity. Today, the Cancer Moon triggers a Grand Trine with the Moon trine Neptune in Pisces and the Moon trine the Sun in Scorpio. We may be looking to luxuriate in the license of having fun and indulging ourselves that Halloween offers us. Whether we costume ourselves and / or dress up our homes, we all might have the tendency to see this Saturday as one big fun event. We can divorce ourselves from our everyday realities and enjoy good times with friends and family. Halloween’s not just for kids anymore. It is a holiday that invites us to express ourselves creatively and without all the attachments of our routine lives. This day has become one when we can truly liberate ourselves and be whoever and whatever we could imagine for ourselves. We might get a real shot in the arm today by fully engaging the treats this day offers.

Sunday, November 1st – Tidying Up – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, Venus, Mars. Sunday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today triggering a Lunar T-Square and the Moon sextiling the Virgo-transiting planets. Today, the Moon opposes Pluto and the Moon squares Uranus. The Moon also sextiles Jupiter, Venus and Mars, all transiting Virgo. Whatever our plans for this Sunday might be, we could find that situations crop up that force us to change or alter our intended plans. This is a day that calls for us to be adaptable and flexible to changing conditions. This being the first day of November, we might also sense the encroaching wintertime. We could use this day to straighten, tidy up and take care of home projects that we wish to complete prior to the winter. We can be very attentive to our errands and outstanding matters today. Thursday and Friday might have had us all over the place with the liability of screwing up more than one thing, but Sunday allows us to correct any mistakes and take care of overlooked issues we might have glossed over toward the end of the week. We could find comfort in our home and family with appreciation and gratitude for what they add to our life and what we add to their lives.
