We might wonder this week whether it can get any better than this. We may feel as though we are operating on greased wheels with things working smoothly and quickly, all with a little help from our friends.
This week is the first full week of Mercury direct after the three-week Mercury retrograde cycle, a Mercury retrograde cycle that could have raised various issues in our relationships and might have had us losing our balance as we reached a tipping point in some of our activities. Things may have gotten convoluted over the past three weeks, but now we can sort things out.
The week begins with the Libra New Moon, which influences the next two-week period. And the influence of this New Moon allows us to focus on our significant connections, develop our future plans and even put our spirit into action. We just have to keep in mind that during these volatile times we also have to bob and weave, engage the tai chi moves of being aware of and working with the energies, and not lose sight of the fundamentals of this paradigm shift that incorporate a recognition of things happening in most surprising ways.
If we have stepped on toes or tromped on someone’s deeply held beliefs, this week allows us to make amends. Forgiveness can be doled out to our satisfaction, and we can right various wrongs we might have precipitated over the past weeks.
This week allows us to hone our focus, concentrate on the truly meaningful and then put the pedal to the metal in order to accomplish more in a shorter period of time than usual and to be far more effective with less expenditure of energy. We might feel as though the universe is conspiring in our favor for us to accomplish a lot and for us to win advocates to our cause.
We do have to be wary that we do not buy into appearances without checking the specific realities of a situation. We also need to watch that once engaged we go on a tear and try to do too much, over expand or over expend our resources.
Apart from slight caveats to our attitude and to our behavior, this week can be a primo week of all good things operating in our favor.
Monday, October 12th – And Now It Begins – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Libra New Moon, Moon Void-of-Course. It may be fitting that just prior to today’s Libra New Moon late in the day we engage our nemesis of the past three years — the Uranus Pluto square. Monday begins the week with the Libra Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Pluto and the Moon opposes Uranus. With the waning influence of the Uranus Pluto square, the Moon creates a two-week signature with the Libra New Moon as the Moon conjuncts the Sun. Even though we may have to shift and change as we go along, this day allows us to consider our options, our future plans and those people who can assist us in realizing our goals. We might have to clear some of the impediments out of our path and embrace new ways of doing things. If we would accept a best practices approach in accomplishing our routine tasks, discard the outmoded and ineffective, then we can make great headway today and over the next two weeks. At the end of the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for twenty-one and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio late on Tuesday. This Monday may best be served by our tying up loose ends, considering what is important compared to that which is insignificant, and then preparing the seedbed of our future goals.
Tuesday, October 13th – Lining Up Our Ducks – Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Saturn. Tuesday continues with the Moon Void-of-Course for much of this day as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Scorpio later on this Tuesday. Mercury sextiles Saturn. There may not be a great deal of energy to move things forward today. We might find ourselves involved in any number of conversations, some of which might actually provide us fodder for how to best approach our plans to activate new interests. Often we come to a realization of pieces to our puzzle through someone’s more objective and detached perspective. We might not agree with everything someone says, but today could provide some illuminating kernels in the swell of conversations. This Tuesday is a good day to plan our movements, consider our options and devise a well-considered strategy for us to move forward in the days ahead. We do not have to rush the river but rather to work with the energies. There are times when we can make great leaps forward, other times when it is better to reflect and contemplate. This Tuesday is geared towards the latter — forethought and visualization.
Wednesday, October 14th – Sorting Through – Venus, Neptune, Mars, Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. This Wednesday can be a highly active day with us sorting through our various activities, focusing on the particulars and honing our projects. The Scorpio Moon today trines Neptune, the Moon sextiles Pluto, and the Moon sextiles the Virgo transiting planets of Venus, Mars and Jupiter. We can be highly adept today, discarding the unnecessary and concentrating on the specifics, all the while that we do not lose sight of the big picture. Our intuitive nature may be highly attuned, and we might feel as if we are being mysteriously guided and directed. We can be expeditious in what we do today without missing a beat or overlooking any significant details. This Wednesday is a highly productive day if we stay attentive to cleaning up our clutter, clearing off the decks and prioritizing the most important matters. There is a lovely blend of our feeling nature with our analytical mind. This is not a day to waste. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over thirty-two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius on Friday. Let’s use this Wednesday and Thursday to accomplish basic tasks, make great advances in our routine involvements and realize the more we can achieve today and tomorrow, the more likely we can free ourselves up for the weekend.
Thursday, October 15th – Moving Mountains – Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Pluto. Thursday continues with the Scorpio Moon Void-of-Course that began yesterday and continues into early Friday. The Moon is making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius tomorrow. Despite the Void-of-Course Moon, Mars trines Pluto today giving us a drive, passion and persistence to virtually move mountains. If we gained a head of steam yesterday, focused on what we need to accomplish, then this Thursday allows us to get more done in a shorter period of time than we could ever imagine. We may have nose to grindstone today, and that’s not such a bad thing. Yesterday and today are highly effective and productive days. We just need to have our plan of action in mind, and then proceed no matter what obstacles might seem to stand in our way. This is a day when we could surprise ourselves by how much we get done. As the saying goes: ‘Where there’s a will, there’s a way.’ We certainly have the will today and the focus to find our way.
Friday, October 16th – Endless Possibilities – Saturn, Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Neptune. The past two days might have amazed us as to how much we got done and how so many pieces fell neatly into place. When we are in the zone, as we may have been on Wednesday and Thursday, there is a liability to assume that we are virtually unassailable and invincible. Such an attitude could prove our undoing, and we have to be wary that we don’t trip over ourselves on this Friday. Friday has the Moon moving into Sagittarius where today the Moon conjuncts Saturn, the Moon sextiles Mercury and the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Venus in Virgo and the Moon square Neptune in Pisces. Venus opposes Neptune. Maybe things just came too easily over the past two days, and we neglect paying attention to what is going on today. Or we might choose to broaden our reach, expand our activities, all the while assuming that everything will work out easily as it may have done over the past two days. If we cop to that attitude, we could be sorely disappointed and might even feel as though someone or something has popped our balloon. This is a day to take control of our moods and emotions. We could be swinging high, swinging low and in the midst throw ourselves into a fantasyland of make believe. We could gloss over details today, misread the signals and easily deceive ourselves. The more we can get a grip on reality and recognize that the energies have shifted, the less likely we are to fall prey to the vagaries of these times and the whipsaws of emotion. We do not have to close ourselves down, but it would be wise for us to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground and avoid being seduced by tantalizing appearances or delectable presentations. Sometimes, things that seem too good to be true are too good to be true.
Saturday, October 17th – Open to Alternatives – Mars, Jupiter, Uranus. The Moon in Sagittarius today squares Mars and Jupiter in Virgo, while Mars conjuncts Jupiter. The Moon also trines Uranus. This is a day when we need to step out of our way, let go of our preconceived notions and perhaps even abandon our plans. Despite the fact that we might want to plow ahead and may even try to do so, we could experience ourselves banging our head against the wall. No matter how hard we try, the route we might have chosen could only be filled with potholes, brambles and obstacles. Even if we decide that we’ll force the issue, the pushback can be ever more severe. And why go there when there might be an option or alternative? If we would be flexible and open to adapting to shifting conditions, we could find that an alternative path opens to us. There is a saying that ‘when one door closes, another door opens up.’ We may bear witness to this saying today, if we avoid being overly pigheaded and trying to bend circumstance to our will. There is magic in the air, if we would be open to receive. This is a day for us to get out of our ego and embrace the awe and wonder of the unanticipated. No matter our plans, our plans might come to naught but can also provide us with an exciting opportunity we had not even considered. We just have to be open to alternatives.
Sunday, October 18th – Take Five – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday and Saturday may have been in sharp contrast to Tuesday and Wednesday. The earlier days might have seemed as though we are rolling smoothly ahead as if on greased wheels, the past two days could have felt like we were flailing about and thrashing around. The extremes of this past week could have exhausted us, and Sunday might prove a day for us to catch our breath, get out of Dodge and just enjoy a leisurely day. The Sagittarius Moon sextiles the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn later in the day. We may be feeling better about things on this Sunday, but we are unlikely to want to exert or exhaust ourselves. Today is a day to rest up but also to prepare for the week ahead.
