This week is the first ‘official’ week of the summer season, and the week could find us attending to our relationships, family matters and home projects.
The week begins with us trying to do as much as possible and accomplish even more. Unless we have our schedule in hand, we could be all over the place operating from high nervous energy but liable to find ourselves running in circles.
We just have to slow things down at the beginning of the week in order to avoid tripping over ourselves. Although we are highly confident of our abilities and are looking to engage new, exciting activities, our focus could be lost to the kaleidoscope of various events and scenarios in which to involve ourselves.
After what could seem like a Keystone Kops routine to begin the week, we can settle down during the mid-week period. Someone might prove a good sounding board or help us find right direction for our energies. We may be resistant to the suggestions made to us, feel our wings being clipped, but the alternative to not heeding people’s advice would be banging and crashing through the week, upsetting the apple cart with little to show for it except one big mess by the end of the week.
We may feel like a thoroughbred racehorse ready to gallop across the week’s course, but to make the race effective we need to be clear about our intent and our direction.
The end of the week and over the weekend allows us a filtration process, going through our many activities and involvements and filtering out those that have little meaning or purpose for us.
The weekend can be an especially pleasant time of reveries and enjoyable social occasions. After an early part of the week when more might seemed to have been not enough, the weekend allows us to appreciate how less is often more. We may choose special times, or quiet times, with the significant people in our lives, doing little except enjoying their company. After quiet reveries, we might find the end of the weekend has us back in the fray in search of fun times with more once again not being enough.
Monday, June 22nd – Here, There and Everywhere – Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus. Monday and Tuesday at the beginning of this week could have us all over the place with little clear intent and more likely a confused itinerary. The week begins with the Moon in Virgo triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Mercury and the Moon opposes Neptune. Tomorrow, Mercury squares Neptune. We may have a great deal on our plate for this Monday, and we might assume that we can handle it all. We have to be wary not to get distracted by mindless entanglements. If we don’t get caught up in the flurry of activity and possibilities, then we can take the time to decipher right action and prioritize what we need to get done. We could also blueprint our course of action, but such a disposition requires that we slow things down and not merely jump into the fray before considering our itinerary. Jupiter trines Uranus and our confidence and enthusiasm may know no bounds. We would far prefer to enjoy ourselves today, investigate new arenas and explore new interests. If we are diverted from our responsibilities, we might attend to our tasks in a most cursory manner, trying to deal with what we need to get done by skipping over important details hastily and with minimal effort. Even though we could get lost in a maze to begin the day from our irrational exuberance, the latter part of the day allows us to straighten things out, focus on the most important and streamline our efforts, thanks to the Moon trine Pluto.
Tuesday, June 23rd – Living for the Daze – Mercury, Neptune. The Moon continues through Virgo on this Tuesday, which also has Mercury square Neptune. Even if we were finally able to get a grip yesterday on our high flying frenetic energy, Tuesday could continue with us all over the place, at least mentally. Our thoughts may not be clear, and we might make assumptions based upon our feelings rather than empirical understanding. We have to watch our words today and be careful as to what we say. The liability to misstatements and miscommunications could be huge today. This Tuesday might be far better spent making our plans and checking them twice, or three times the charm. Our intuitive sense may be heightened, but we would need a reality check to determine whether our intuition is spot on or leading us down the yellow brick road to illusion and delusion. Everyone may be slightly on edge as we begin this week, and this Tuesday could have people shooting from the lip. Let’s engage brain before speaking, be certain that what we say is what we mean. We might have to take what we hear with a grain of salt today, for there can be miscues and meanings unintended. In the quiet of our happy place, we can let our mind wander and come up with some most interesting ideas. Let’s bear in mind that during this time of paradigm shift from sequential, linear reality to asequential, serendipitous reality even the seemingly impossible may prove not only possible but probable. As Napoleon Hill affirmed: ‘whatever your mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve regardless of how many times you may have failed in the past.’ And this affirmation is truer now than ever before. We just have to remember to keep in mind the intention and not get stymied by the means to achieve our goals. And we also need to have humility with the recognition that we are co-creators, and not sole masters, of our destiny with the universe unfolding. We may want something from our own personal perspective, but the universe may have far greater plans for us than we could ever have imagined for ourselves.
Wednesday, June 24th – Great Expectations – Saturn, Mars, Sun, Mars Cancer. Wednesday begins with the Virgo Moon sextile Saturn and the Moon square Mars. We can tie up loose ends as we begin this day, but we also need to prevent ourselves from overdoing on our ‘to do’ list. By taking things step by step, we can deal with the most pressing matters. We do have to avoid spinning off into trying to do too much, for then our tendency would be to gloss over situations and not do them effectively. The Moon then moves into Libra where today the Moon squares the Sun. Someone might have need of our assistance today. We may feel imposed upon, but let’s accommodate and not acquiesce to other people’s expectations. There can be home and family matters to address with repairs and fix-ups called for. Mars exits Gemini to enter Cancer, not a Sign that the martial energy is comfortable in. Our energy may move from a high intensity and frenetic quality to a softer far more emotional disposition. People could get uncomfortably mushy. We may want to have family time with the home fires burning, barbecues on the grill, but let’s not burn the house down or immolate ourselves in the process.
Thursday, June 25th – Tai Chi Moves – Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Venus, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. The Moon continues its transit of Libra today with the Moon trine Mercury and the Moon sextile both Venus and Jupiter. The Moon also triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square Pluto and the Moon opposed Uranus. This is a day for pleasant conversations and keeping everything light. It is not a day to engage in adversarial interactions. Someone might be itching for a fight, a desire to prove themselves and one up the other person. Let’s not fall prey to contentious situations. If someone gets their hackles up, it would be wise for us to sidestep them, maintain a good attitude and smile warmly as we step away. Today is a paradoxical day. It can be a fun time with someone we enjoy or it can be downright argumentative. If we keep our discussions on the light side, avoid being too judgmental and maintain a bemused disposition towards the craziness in the world, then we can get through this day without getting tripped up. We do need to be aware that incidents can arise out of the blue, make a mess of our plans and force us to deal with unexpected situations. If that occurs, our best course of action would be to grin and bear it, deal with what needs to be done and then quietly step away. This day can be enjoyable without us losing our cool. Tai Chi moves of working with the energy allow us to avoid unpleasantries. As the day progresses, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for eighteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio tomorrow.
Friday, June 26th – Summertime Home Projects – Moon Void-of-Course, Mars. Friday may be slow starting due to the Void-of-Course Moon that began yesterday with the Moon finishing its transit of Libra without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Scorpio today. We may be touching base with certain special people, discussing plans and just chatting them up. It’s Friday after all, often a day when we’re winding down from the workweek. And it’s Summer, the season when Fridays often are less about work and more about engaging the weekend. As the day progresses, the Scorpio Moon trines Mars. This energy is a good energy to plan our weekend home projects, start tidying up and looking to pare down the superfluous from our lives. Lunch out or just hanging out may be far preferable to exerting ourselves too much. We are looking for a restful, recreational weekend. We’re willing to do a dump run and focus on certain home projects, but we are not overly interested in expending a great deal of energy to do so.
Saturday, June 27th – Comforts of Home – Lunar Grand Trine, Sun, Neptune, Pluto. Whether we are off traveling or staying put, Saturday finds us wanting to enjoy the comforts of home. This is not a highly energetic day but rather a ‘feel good’ day. The Scorpio Moon triggers a Lunar Grand Trine with the Moon trine the Sun in Cancer and the Moon trine Neptune in Pisces. The Moon also sextiles Pluto. We do not need a whole lot today. The simple pleasures of life are enough. We can appreciate the love and support of home and family. We might engage social gatherings with intimate friends, just hanging out and enjoying their company. If we have errands to attend, we are likely to do so in a focused, streamlined fashion, concentrating on the most pressing needs. Once we take care of what needs to get done, we are likely to kick back and enjoy the typical summertime activities of going to the beach or lounging by the pool. We are not looking to exert ourselves today. Instead, we prefer the ‘living easy’ of summertime. We could consider projects to enhance our living space, makeovers that would provide a greater sense of sanctuary to our home. But considering and implementing are two different animals, and we might engage the former and wait for another day to initiate the other. No, today is a day to revel in the simple pleasures of summer, to get off the track of our fast-paced lives and to reinvigorate, regenerate and re-create ourselves.
Sunday, June 28th – Back in the Fast Lane – Venus, Jupiter, Saturn. Ever notice how we have become so accustomed to our fast pace living that it’s often hard to slow ourselves down? We might have taken life slowly yesterday, not overextended ourselves and enjoyed a quiet recharge to our batteries. To stay too long in the simple pleasures might also raise issues of contemplation and reflection, qualities that are often lost to the kaleidoscope of events, people and situations in our accelerated living where we schedule a vast array of commitments that often serve largely as diversions and distractions from the true essence of living. Yesterday might even have seemed like a strong divergence from the way we do our lives. Sunday can have us back on track, back in the fast lane. The Scorpio Moon squares both Venus and Jupiter in Leo and the Moon conjuncts Saturn. We might fill this Sunday with various adventures, social occasions and any activity that we put under the guise of ‘fun’. We are committed to having a good time on this Sunday, and in so doing we might spend a little too much. Like a metronome, we might swing from yesterday’s slower pace to today’s intense pace. At the end of the day, we might question what we got from all of our running around and whether our running was only a form of getting out of our own way.
