This week could have us lost in a daze, a maze of misunderstandings, miscommunications and misdirection.
Neptune is strongly highlighted this week with the aspects to Neptune generating mixed messages and a liability towards ‘what you see is not what you get.’
The week calls for due diligence, rechecking and reevaluating continually, and not taking anything at face value.
This is also the second week of the Mercury retrograde. I wrote last week that this Mercury retrograde could prove a doozey due to the fact that Mercury is retrograding through its own Sign of Gemini and in doing so triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the square to Neptune and the opposition to Saturn.
How is this Mercury retrograde working for you? One client lost much of their data on their computer. For myself, our Internet connectivity went out frequently until finally the problem was resolved. In addition, our satellite television service went down. When informed, the company hosting our service assured us of a callback within an hour and a promise that a technician would be dispatched to solve the issue. Despite several subsequent calls to the company, no callback and finally an appointment set up for this coming mid-week for the technician.
I hope you are not having too many issues with this Mercury retrograde and its tendency to muck up the works. Mercury continues to retrograde through Gemini until late on the 11th of June.
The week begins in the US with Memorial Day and the last day of the Memorial Day long holiday weekend, the weekend that unofficially kicks off the summer season.
There is a great deal of energy to start the week but most of it needing us to be diplomatic and conciliatory and watching where we step. The liability to discord as we begin the week is strong. Family matters and social gatherings can be fraught with tension. And the liability towards accidents, especially on the water, cannot be discounted.
This week may be the unofficial start to the summer season, but let’s avoid too great an expectation, for any impetuous rush into the summer season can trigger a nasty blowback. Our nerves may be on edge, and we could feel rather anxious, about what we might not be able to define or identify. Instead, we might have a foreboding sense, a sense of being lost or on the wrong track and not knowing how to rectify the situation.
While the early part of the week necessitates our doing the tai chi moves, flowing with the energy without being bowled over by the energy, the mid-week period could prove quite pleasant. We may decide to engage in social gatherings that take us off the track and allow us a healthy, albeit briefly, respite from the crazies in the world.
Our plans for the weekend can be disrupted, but the weekend would be a good time for a major cleanup and cleanout. We might want to strip away much of the dross in our lives, but let’s not be hasty in our eliminations, for we could subsequently decide that our clearing out included certain facets of our lives that we once held dear and might choose to have again.
This week is a week for us to keep our wits about us. Let’s not fall for the spectacles of images, presentations and promises made. Instead, we may need to slow things down and take a more careful scrutiny of what is happening around us and to us. The world might seem quite kaleidoscopic — at times enthralling and seductive, other times anxiety provoking and threatening.
Monday, May 25th – Dodging Curve Balls – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Sun, Venus, Uranus, Mars, Neptune. Monday is Memorial Day in the US, the federal holiday that is set aside to commemorate all those who sacrificed their lives in the countless wars the US has engaged in the present and in the past. This day is also the last day of the long holiday weekend that signals the unofficial start to summer. Today, the Moon moves into Virgo and triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Virgo Moon square Saturn in Sagittarius and the Moon square the Sun in Gemini. Venus squares Uranus and Mars squares Neptune. We may have various plans today and unexpected situations likely to arise as well. This is a day when we may be juggling any number of things, or more likely dodging various curveballs. If we are traveling today, we might want to add on extra time or just assume that our travel could be delayed or disrupted. People may be slightly on edge and willing to use someone else as a piñata by which to vent their frustrations. There could be accidents on the water and certainly misguided actions are possible. If we could slow things down and engage a large dose of patience, then we might be able to avoid some nasty pushbacks and dangerous situations. There is a great deal of energy today and energy that may be difficult to harness. No matter the difficulty, it would be far wiser for us to monitor and rein in our responses rather than merely reacting impetuously to whatever comes our way.
Tuesday, May 26th – Can’t Sit Down – Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Mars, Mercury, Pluto, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. The intensity of yesterday spills over into this Tuesday. The Virgo Moon continues the Mutable Sign T-Square, albeit with different players. Today, the Virgo Moon opposes Neptune in Pisces and the Moon squares both Mars and Mercury in Gemini. We may be all over the place as we start this day. Some of the confusion and disruptions of yesterday can force us to address unresolved situations on this Tuesday. Unfortunately, clarity may be lacking and we could find ourselves going around in circles, knowing that we need to do something but not knowing what we should do. Knee-jerk reactions are likely to occur in the early morning hours, and it would be essential that we try and break this pattern before it becomes too much of a habit. We are suffering under the Mercury retrograde and the personal planets transiting Gemini repeatedly reinforcing the Mutable Sign T-Square. Our liability to overdrive and overwhelm can keep us running on adrenaline but eventually our reservoir of hyped-up energy is likely to run out. Thank goodness for that! Although we start the day in a frenetic, even frantic manner, the energy rights itself later in the day as the Virgo Moon trines Pluto and the Moon sextiles Venus. If we haven’t dug ourselves too big a hole from which to get out, we can start to prioritize and focus on the most significant tasks at hand. We can find comfort in our home base and the familiar and catch a break, and even rest in the latter part of this day and over the next two days. The intense, hyped-up energy of yesterday and early today can be a faint memory as Tuesday progresses. Towards the end of the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost nineteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra late on Wednesday.
Wednesday, May 27th – Passionate Interactions – Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Mercury, Mars. Much of Wednesday is spent with the Moon Void-of-Course as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Libra later in the day where today the Libra Moon sextiles Saturn in Sagittarius. Mercury conjuncts Mars. Although there may not be a great deal of energy to accomplish much during this day, our minds are likely to be racing with all sorts of thoughts. We might want to bounce off some of our ideas on a trusted confidante. There can be a great deal of talk today, and some of our discussions can put our spirit into action. But this is not so much an action day as a conceptual and strategizing day. We can consider what we want to pursue, hone it through conversations with someone else and then develop a best practices approach to realize our goals. We may reach out to various people today, catch up with people we have not spoken with for a while and even devise travel plans for our summer vaca. Communications can be quick and intense, but let’s be sure that nothing falls between the cracks. People could easily get carried away and start off like Wrong Way Corrigan committed and determined to push ahead but without considering the itinerary or the direction. We might want to put the brakes on some of our thoughts and ideas. We can ruminate without implementing. Implementing can come another day.
Thursday, May 28th – All Friends Together – Sun, Mercury, Mars. Thursday has the Libra Moon trine the Gemini-transiting planets of the Sun, Mercury and Mars. This is a great day to engage anyone and everyone. People are being far more considerate of each other — a nice change from some of the recent irritabilities that people have been expressing. Let’s enjoy this day and the camaraderie of friends, neighbors and acquaintances. A sense of civility can be on display today — a refreshing change from the ways people have been acting in recent times. If we owe someone a phone call, a text, a note, an email or smoke signals, today is the day to engage and express our appreciation for one another. Yes, this could be a mutual admiration day, and why not? We can make our plans and decide on participating in social events and get-togethers. Let’s not waste the day. We may be going from one thing to another to another, but we are likely to be enjoying every single, even brief, interaction. Our minds can be going a mile a minute with a cascade of varied impressions. We just need to bear in mind that people are acting impetuously, so we need to take everything with a grain of salt.
Friday, May 29th – Slightly Out of Our Mind – Jupiter, Lunar Grand Cross, Pluto, Uranus, Venus, Mercury, Neptune. Friday necessitates a bemused attitude. The Libra Moon sextiles Jupiter and the Moon triggers a Cardinal Grand Cross with the Moon square Pluto in Capricorn, the Moon opposed Uranus in Aries and the Moon square Venus in Cancer. To add to the conundrum, Mercury squares Neptune. We may be in overdrive today, feeling upbeat and compelled by our own insistence or egged on by someone else to try and do more and more and more. We could be all over the place today, caroming from one thing to another, sometimes banging our head, other times sliding through but always wondering: what the heck are we doing? Our focus could be slightly distorted today, and we could easily latch onto a concept, build it up into a feasible possibility, all the while that we are dealing with an illusory prospect. We could get lost in the clouds today but so busy that we hardly notice that our feet are barely touching the ground. Practicality may not be our strong suit on this Friday. Instead, we are likely to want to get things going without considering the implications or the ramifications. Let’s think things through before we engage them. We may be champing at the bit but it would be wise to rein in our enthusiasm, strategize our moves and determine whether we are on the right path, following the yellow brick road or lost on a quixotic journey.
Saturday, May 30th – Inventory Taking and Clearing Out – Sun, Mercury. The Moon moves into Scorpio Saturday morning, but the Moon makes no connections to the planets today. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. This is a good day for us to figure out what we might want to get rid of and how we can best streamline our lives. Cutting away the dross, eliminating the superfluous and focusing on the truly significant projects and involvements can clear a path and allow us to be more effective with less expenditure of energy. We may have the gift of gab today, but it would be wise that we not only talk the talk but that we walk our talk. We can accomplish our errands, straighten things up and do various dump runs. Let’s keep in mind that the cup has to be emptied before it can be filled. We don’t have to get rid of everything, but we could throw out those things that we no longer use or have need of. By removing the outmoded, we make room for the new and those things that may be more resonant with who we are now and where we are going rather than where we have been or who we have been.
Sunday, May 31st – Misty – Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Sun. The Scorpio Moon today trines Neptune, the Moon sextiles Pluto and the Moon squares Jupiter. The Sun squares Neptune. We could go through various mood swings on this Sunday. We might feel incredibly spiritual, deeply connected to our life purpose and assuming that we are totally in synch with our destiny. Through our imagining, we can even find ourselves in that safe happy place we go when we tune out the world and the mundane. We may create an idyllic space for ourselves through our own conjecture, but we also have to be wary that we don’t enter into fantasia, self-propelled illusions and delusions. This week has had the Gemini-transiting planets squaring Neptune, a highly spiritual planet but also a planet that in its negative expression contributes to deception, illusion and delusion. Monday had Mars square Neptune. Friday had Mercury square Neptune, and today the Sun squares Neptune. We might be highly impressionable today, affected ever more so by our environment and surroundings, and susceptible to all sorts of influences. We can offset our sensitivity today by having some alone time, listening to inspirational music, walking down by the water’s edge and communing with nature. Today is a good day for us to rest, relax and re-create.
