May 11th – 17th, 2015

This week is a week when we may pick up the pace. We just have to watch that we don’t trip over ourselves. We might be caroming between closing out certain matters and beginning new projects.

During this week, let’s bear in mind that this is the last week before the next three-week Mercury retrograde cycle. The more we can accomplish this week, the better it would be. If we do not conclude significant matters and important decisions this week, then we might want to put off those affairs until after the 11th of June when Mercury turns direct. This Mercury retrograde could prove quite a conundrum [and what Mercury retrograde isn’t?] seeing how Mercury will be retrograding through its own Sign of Gemini and triggering the Mutable Sign T-Square with Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces.

We start the week champing at the bit, wanting to focus on our own personal interests and on new trajectories that we wish to engage. Feeling less weighted down by old dead wood, we may feel that we can juggle any number of things with greater interest on the new rather than the old. Where a problem could arise is the pickup pace and a liability to skimming off the surface of issues, assuming that we have successfully dealt with them but only addressing them on a superficial level with no real resolution. Let’s be careful that situations we thought successfully concluded don’t come back and bite us in the backside over the next few weeks, and especially during the upcoming Mercury retrograde from May 18th through June 11th.

There may be a great deal of wind this week, and not merely the passing of gas. No, the intense winds can be lengthy discussions that go nowhere and also intense storm systems with tornado-like winds and heavy precipitation when the atmospheric storm fronts roll on through.

While we might feel as though we are involved in an excitable game of bumper cars early in the week, the mid-week period allows us to get our house in order, even if only momentarily.

The latter part of the week can have us ready to race from a starting gate in new directions that appeal to our personal interests. But we might be running the three-legged race with us needing to deal with those activities we once thought resolved that could in reality be daunting us and holding us back.

The weekend can be a time of polishing our image and making all things look nice. Relationships can be close to idyllic, for we may be looking at the sterling qualities of someone and not their tarnished flaws. We might go out of our way to help someone but let’s keep in mind the wise proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Despite our generosity and our effectiveness over the weekend, we need to keep in the forefront of our mind that we can assist other people but it would be wise for us not to get enmeshed in their karma. We have enough of our own karma to expiate.

Monday, May 11th – Shooting From the Lip – Uranus, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Mars Gemini. Monday starts with us in high gear. We may have any number of things that we want to do, intend to do. The focus may be on new trajectories reflective of where we want to go and scenarios that allow us to do our own thing, rather than on where we are and where we have been. We have to be wary of being a little cocky and overly ambitious in breaking free from the restraints of the past. The Aquarius Moon sextiles Uranus and the Moon squares the Sun to begin this Monday. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost sixteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before entering Pisces late this Monday, early Tuesday morning. Mars exits Taurus to enter Gemini and as the Moon moves into Pisces, the Moon squares Mars. While we might have a great deal going on this Monday, the energy can be a real whipsaw between high activity and a waiting game before the energy ratchets up even more toward the end of the day. The Mars entry into Gemini adds another player to triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces. We shall all have to try and slow things down, avoid snap judgments and prevent knee-jerk reactions and try and keep our wits about us. It may be a tall order but one that we need to achieve.

Tuesday, May 12th – Sounding Out Advice – Venus, Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Mercury. Tuesday has the Pisces Moon trine Venus, the Moon conjunct Neptune and the Moon triggering the Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Saturn and the Moon squares Mercury. We may be a little out of sorts on this Tuesday. We could be seeing phantoms behind every corner. We might easily misgauge what is going on and can be on the defensive against the what and the why that we just may not be able to figure out. Tuesday calls for a trusted sounding board before we jump to conclusions. We need someone objective who can offer a detached perspective regarding the goings-on in our lives. Appearances can be deceptive and what we see may not reflect the true reality of the situation. We might feel anxious today but hard pressed to put our finger on what might be triggering our concern. Our nerves could be stressed so let’s be focused in our activities, concentrating on what is at hand. Otherwise, we could build up quite a head of steam and create a most macabre picture in our minds. Getting down by the water, meditating, listening to soothing music are some of the antidotes we might utilize to soothe the savage beast of our imagination.

Wednesday, May 13th – Building Blocks Neatly Presented – Pluto, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. After a frenetic couple of days that might have taken us into la-la-land, Wednesday offers us the energies to get a grip on the basics and the fundamentals and to build from there. Even if we have gone through some form of a crash and burn scenario over recent weeks, months or years, this Wednesday affords us the opportunity to focus on the truly essential, those aspects of our lives that are integral to our being and to our growth and soul development. Although we might have been thrown off course by distractions and misjudgments, today we can be like the mythological bird, the phoenix, and rise from the ashes of our funeral pyre to soar ever higher. This Wednesday is a day to cut to the core, let go of the pulls of our past and engage the transformation that we have all gone through. We are not who we have been. The dross may have been stripped from us, but we can now build from the alchemical process of transformation and cross the threshold of our new being. We shall be drawing from the essence of who we are and present ourselves in a powerful and appealing manner. Today may be a day for a major makeover in whatever manner we might so choose. As the day progresses, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries late today, early tomorrow.

Thursday, May 14th – New Beginnings – Mars, Saturn, Venus, Mercury. Thursday has the Moon transiting Aries, and today the Moon sextiles Mars, the Moon trines Saturn, the Moon squares Venus and the Moon sextiles Mercury. We may awaken with a new spring in our step, although the steps may have us bounding ahead in giant leaps. Let’s just be certain that in our leaps we don’t fall into a chasm that would be hard to pull ourselves out. We are interested in anything and everything today. While it may shake up the familiar, we are less interested in hewing to old patterns than in opening new doors. We do have to be careful that our impetuousness doesn’t take us down the wrong paths. Feeling that what we want is what we should have, our due diligence could be minimal at best. We might not consider the consequences of our actions, much less the unintended consequences of our actions or the impact on other people. If we could slow things down, take baby steps rather than giant leaps and truly consider the probable effects of our actions, then we could move forward into new activities in a best practices approach without upsetting the applecart. Not everyone may be supportive of our new moves, and so it would be suggested that we have a strong rationale for what we are initiating.

Friday, May 15th – Hitting the Wall – Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Saturn. Much of yesterday’s impetuousness could hit a wall on this Friday. Although we often exclaim ‘thank goodness it’s Friday’, possibly not on this Friday. We start the day early Friday with the Aries Moon trine Jupiter. Any impulsive actions we might have initiated yesterday can be fueled in the early morning hours of this Friday. Unfortunately, various twists and turns can either reveal the flaws in our actions or hurl unexpected curveballs to upset our plans. Either way, we could find ourselves trying to dig out of a mess that our impulsiveness might have triggered. It would be wise to keep in mind that the paradigm shift we are all experiencing reduces our level of control over situations and forces us to adapt to changing circumstances, some of which come about in the most inexplicable ways. Following the Aries Moon trine Jupiter, the Moon then triggers the Uranus Pluto square with the Moon square Pluto and the Moon conjunct Uranus. Tied in with Mars opposed Saturn, we could experience some head banging as things turn out differently than we expect and we find our energy flagging as though we are being rolled by our responsibilities and our obligations. Things can take longer than we would like, and we could get exhausted by all the things we need to do and want to do. It would be important that we not push ourselves, for the liability to back strain could be strong at this time. Much of the energy on this Friday occurs in the early part of the day, for after the Moon triggers the Uranus Pluto configuration, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for nineteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus on Saturday.

Saturday, May 16th – Let’s Get Together – Neptune, Venus.
Saturday can be an especially pleasant time of social interactions. The Taurus Moon sextiles Venus and the Moon sextiles Neptune. Venus trines Neptune. Reunions, celebrations, reconnections with family and friends can be good fun as we catch up and take a stroll down Memory Lane. We might realize how important the people in our lives are. We may see people in a different light with greater compassion and empathy for the brambles others have encountered on the path of their journeying. There is a strong spiritual connection in our relationships on this Saturday and a better understanding of where we have been. This day can be close to idyllic. We can enjoy the company of other people, and we might find ourselves putting our best foot forward. If we are not engaged in a significant get-together today, we could find ourselves sprucing up our environment, our wardrobe or ourselves with a personal makeover. Everything seems to be satin and lace today, a dreamy time to wander off into the beauty of the natural and the comfort of our loved ones.

Sunday, May 17th – Preparing for the Next Phase – Jupiter, Pluto. Saturday might have provided us with an intuitive understanding of where we can go in the future and with whom we may do the dance. Sunday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today square Jupiter and the Moon trine Pluto. As though we had been reenergized yesterday and been given a spiritual transfusion, today allows us to ready the framework by which we can lay down the foundation stones for our intended goals and new ambitions. We do have to be wary of being overly optimistic in our plans. Our confidence may know no bounds and our willingness to exceed a budget could be justified by our desires. We also need to recognize that we are on the dark side of the Moon before tomorrow’s Taurus New Moon. And tomorrow also begins the three-week Mercury retrograde, a Mercury retrograde that could prove quite a doozey due to Mercury retrograding back through its own Sign of Gemini. This Sunday would be a good day to strip the chaff from the wheat, to rid ourselves of the extraneous and concentrate on the truly significant fundamentals.
