April 6th – 12th, 2015

This week may prove reminiscent of the beginning lines in Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities:

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us…”

Does that expression sound familiar? Although written in the mid-nineteenth century, that sentiment could describe our times in which we live and in particular this week.

We are coming off the Libra Lunar Eclipse as we start this week, and the Uranus Pluto square that has vexed us over the past two and a half years is being triggered in the early part of the week.

The first half of this week could prove dicey with various people’s backs up and a penchant for saying the most outrageous things on the spur-of-the-moment. Our tendency to let loose by verbalizing our frustrations and seeking to accentuate our autonomy can leave many tears and shreds in its wake. This early part of the week can be stormy, both in regard to weather conditions and also to our emotional state.

The latter part of the week can be far more upbeat and enjoyable, if we haven’t wreaked irrevocable havoc earlier in the week.

The second half of the week can have us feeling more confident, more willing to go our own way and looking to how we can best expand our personal interests and our intended projects. We may look far afield from our present circumstance to see the possibilities and prospects that might unfold in our future scenarios.

The weekend may be a time for us to put our spirit into action. We might determine how we can devise the best approach to realize our goals and achieve our ambitions. We may have to do an element of clean up and clean out over the weekend but all in the cause of rototilling the soil of our lives in order for new plantings to take place.

Upsets early in the week may be disruptive but do not have to be devastating. We may have to blow off a head of steam in order to get things out of our system and provide an empty space to regain our optimism and confidence and determine where we choose to go next.

Monday, April 6th – Righteous Pontificating – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury, Sun, Uranus. Monday starts the week with the Moon in Scorpio and the Moon trine Neptune, the Moon square Jupiter and the Moon sextile Pluto. Mercury trines Jupiter and the Sun conjuncts Uranus. This past weekend could have brought to light various underlying currents. We may have felt stripped bare by someone, and our sense of ourselves may have been tattered and torn. If this occurred, it would be wise to see such incidents indicative of getting down to the essentials from which to build anew, although possibly quite differently, and the renaissance offered with the Spring season. Our intuitive sense can be strong today and a desire to spread our wings and broaden our perspective. We may want to exercise our autonomy, our sense of freedom and explore interests that reflect a new concept of ourselves. Whether gently or drastically, we have all gone through various forms of shapeshifting, morphing and transformation. We do need to be wary how we approach things, however, for there could be a tendency of getting up on our soapbox and pontificating righteously about what we believe and feel without considering our audience. This day may best be served by appreciating boundaries, accepting limitations and not assume that we can do whatever we want the way that we want to do it with no further repercussions.

Tuesday, April 7th – Momma Said There’d Be Days Like This – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Pluto. The Moon in Scorpio today opposes Venus before late in the day the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost eight and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius tomorrow. Yesterday, the Sun finished its trigger of the Uranus Pluto square with the Sun conjunct Uranus. Today, Mercury triggers the Uranus Pluto square with Mercury square Pluto today followed by Mercury conjunct Uranus tomorrow. Everyone may be very much on edge today. Diplomacy is called for. Otherwise, discussions can turn heated and devolve into knock-down, drag-out verbal fights. This is a day when it would be very difficult to walk back from things said. To repeat: diplomacy is called for. If we can work with this energy without getting enmeshed in a spiral of self-justifications or crucifying someone verbally for their assumed transgressions, then this day allows us to focus on the key elements to our projects, how we can creatively realize our goals and provide the impetus for us to accentuate our personal ambitions. People could easily get on their high horse, become belligerent and willing to assert their interests with little, if any, consideration of other people’s concerns. One more time, diplomacy is called for today. It would also be wise for us to be highly mindful of driving, since road rage could be today’s name of the game.

Wednesday, April 8th – A Different World – Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter direct. We could feel a little sad or disoriented as we start this day. We might prefer to be somewhere other than where we are. The Moon in Sagittarius today conjuncts Saturn and the Moon squares Neptune. Mercury conjuncts Uranus and Jupiter turns direct. We may feel hampered by our present circumstances and our regular obligations. We can imagine some idyllic place, the place where people like us, really like us, but we should keep in mind the old saying about the grass being greener on the other side. Even if we step into Nirvana or some paradise space, we could be carrying our same old baggage with us. This is a day for us to consider building upon what we have, utilizing our creative talents to transform our everyday scenario into something that would make us happy. Let’s take the time today to count our blessings and appreciate what we have and not get seduced by all the things that we imagine that we do not have. The attitude of gratitude goes a long way to opening new doors, doors of wonder and unexpected opportunities. We may get some remarkable insights today, but once inspired, we then need to take the practical steps in order to realize our potentials. We are living during a time of radical paradigm shift, moving away from the linear progression into the asequential reality where things can virtually arise out of the blue. This is a day for us to keep our antennae up, work with peripheral vision and be open to receive. We may hear of something that gives us a second wind, a trajectory we might not have considered that grabs our passion. We may be mystified by how things occur so unexpectedly, but we might also bear witness to the magic of these times with another mini-miracle.

Thursday, April 9th – After the Storms – Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. After several days when we might have questioned the purpose in living and may have felt as though we had been given a raw deal, Thursday provides a parting of the heavy cloud bank and allows the sun to shine on through. Oh, happy day! Thursday has the Sagittarius Moon triggering the Fire Grand Trine with the Moon today trine Jupiter in Leo and the Moon trine the Aries-transiting planets of Uranus, Mercury and the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nineteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn tomorrow. We might have felt battered and bruised over the past several days, certainly with some unexpected scenarios trying to trip us up. Often, we have a greater appreciation of life after we have survived a crisis or gotten through a rough patch of our lives. Not only can we have appreciation on this Thursday. We could find ourselves optimistic, confident to deal with whatever comes our way, and excited about the prospects of a future that could have different components from the ways we have been doing life up to this point. This is a day for us to bask in the sun, engage a strong element of ‘spring fever’ and utilize this day as a ‘mental health’ day. All of us might feel deserving of a brief interlude from the hectic pace of our daily lives and today would be a good day to step off the track, take time for ourselves and engage the new and the different. Even if we have pressing demands or outstanding matters to address, this Thursday would be well spent regrouping, recreating and catching our breath. By taking the time and taking care of ourselves, we may be far more enthusiastic and energized to take on what we choose to engage over the next few days.

Friday, April 10th – All the Right Moves – Mars, Sun, Mercury. Friday has the Moon moving into Capricorn where today the Moon trines Mars. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. We can take a far greater philosophical approach to matters today. We are less likely to be jumpy, on edge and more willing to accept the circumstances in which we find ourselves. With an upbeat feeling, we can accomplish a great deal. Not only can we come up with the right structure and format by which to realize our ambitions, we can also present our interests in an enthusiastic and persuasive manner. It may seem as though we have passed through one of those periods of the dark night of the soul, those times when we feel isolated, alone, and don’t have the capabilities to deal with the vicissitudes of living on the earth plane. This Friday is a good day to make our plans and accomplish what needs to get done. Thursday may have renewed our spirit, and today we can put our spirit into action. This is a highly productive day, so let’s do what we can to be effective, all the while that we are optimistic and confident of the long-term consequences of our present actions.

Saturday, April 11th – Twist and Churn – Neptune, Pluto, Uranus, Sun, Venus Gemini. Saturday continues with the Capricorn Moon and today the Moon sextiles Neptune and the Moon triggers the Uranus Pluto square with the Moon conjunct Pluto and the Moon square both Uranus and the Sun. Venus exits its own Sign of Taurus to enter Gemini. We may start the day with a grand plan in mind, and we might even be able to engage much of it. It would be a good idea for us to plan and prioritize our activities for this day. As the day progresses, the wheels can come off the bus, and unexpected situations may disrupt our planned schedule. The vagaries of these times seem to intrude on our best laid plans. We just have to be flexible and adaptable to the shifts and changes. With Venus coming into Gemini, we might want to broaden our social circle and play catch up with various people with whom we haven’t spoken for a while. We are also likely to act spontaneously, impulsively as certain new interests grab our attention and divert us away from our intended actions.

Sunday, April 12th – Social Occasions – Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn, Mars, Neptune. Sunday begins with the Capricorn Moon, which today squares Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon moves into Aquarius where today the Moon trines Venus and the Moon sextiles Saturn. Mars sextiles Neptune. We may begin the day focused on certain commitments we have to attend to. It would be wise for us to take care of any pressing matters early in the day, for as the day progresses our interest in doing errands and the like will drop off and shift into our wishing to spend time with friends. Whether we do so in person, by text, phone or email, we are interested in what is going on with other people and sharing with them some of our latest exploits. We might also be looking at primping our image and attending to putting a shine on our environment. The latter part of the day can be a fun time, and a good time to enjoy the camaraderie of good friends and converse about our future prospects and goals.
