April 27th – May 3rd, 2015

This week is a week for us to get down to business and deal with what needs to get done.

Another slow starting week, we can accomplish many of the bits and pieces hanging over us if we avoid being distracted by unnecessary diversions and instead focus our attention on the most significant situations. The first part of the week provides us the impetus to have our nose to the grindstone and deal with the details of our lives.

It would be wise for us to trust our instincts. Our awareness about what is truly going on can be heightened and we might feel ourselves to be divinely guided.

The latter part of the week can have us engaging in meaningful conversations. With Mercury entering its own Sign of Gemini, talk may be plentiful and we might be hearing from a number of people, even those with whom we rarely converse. Discussions can be uplifting and great fun and make us cognizant of options and alternatives we might never have considered.

The end of the week brings in the merry month of May, although we could experience some unexpected incidents impacting our plans. Let’s keep in mind the tai chi moves, work with the energies rather than trying to manipulate them and in so doing we can maintain our balance.

The weekend may necessitate time to catch our breath amidst the frantic pace of our everyday lives. Even if we have a great deal scheduled for the weekend, time with a special someone can be like stepping off into nirvana and enjoying the depth of connection between two souls.

The weekend also allows for a good clean up and clear out, but it would be wise for us not to throw out baby with the bath water. Like Sherman’s march to the sea, we have to be wary of our own slash and burn tendencies to end the week and the weekend. We might want to be free from certain aspects of our lives, but the liability would be pruning away so much that we kill off the roots. Not every involvement needs to be excised, possibly only trimmed in order for the unhealthy aspects to be removed and the healthy aspects to be nurtured.

We also have to watch our mental state towards the end of the weekend, for an element of depression and victimization could put a damper on our spirited selves. We end the weekend, early Monday morning with the Scorpio Full Moon, a time when our emotions are highly charged and our moods could prove quite intense.

This Full Moon also crescendos the past fortnight, the past two weeks that have seen various structures challenged by the earth changes with intense atmospheric storms, tornadoes, geophysical phenomena of volcanic activity and earthquakes and with much of the stability of our own individual lives shaken to the core by our own personal issues. More shaking, rattling and rolling is on its way as part of the paradigm shift from the old ‘normal’ to the new ‘normal’.

Monday, April 27th – What to Do – Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with the Leo Moon square Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eleven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo late in the day. We might far prefer to start this day talking about our weekend, our escapades and any mini-miracles we might have been privy to. Although we may be concentrating on our own personal plans, we have to make sure that our discussions are to a receptive audience and that we are taking into account our listener’s interests as well as our own. This is a day for us to keep a tight grasp on our wallet or pocketbook, since we might have the tendency of being a big spender today. We could pay more than would be appropriate or buy something that boosts our ego with the liability of purchasing something that serves immediate gratification and little else.

Tuesday, April 28th – Looky Here – Sun, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Neptune. The Virgo Moon today trines the Sun, and the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Saturn and the Moon opposed Neptune. There are times when we have certain obligations to attend, times when we need to get certain things done. Often, these times of pressing demands are also times when we can make any number of excuses to do anything other than what we need to accomplish. This Tuesday could be one of those days. Although we can find ourselves entangled with various issues today, both pulls from the past and someone’s emotional distress, it would be wise to keep to a schedule and itinerary for the day. Otherwise, we might easily be pulled from our course of action by diversions and distractions. We may be dealing with a high level of anxiety today. We can calm our concerns by maintaining detachment, recognizing the energies for the roiling emotions that they are, and keeping our eye on the specifics and particulars and details of our lives. If we go solely emotional in our responses today, then we could find ourselves and other people playing the blame game, seeing the negatives rather than the positives, and creating discomfort for all concerned.

Wednesday, April 29th – Follow the Yellow Brick Road – Pluto, Venus, Mars, Sun, Neptune. Wednesday continues with the Virgo Moon and today the Moon squares Venus and the Moon trines both Pluto and Mars. The Sun sextiles Neptune. This is a day when we might embrace our spiritual nature, sense that we are being divinely guided and choose to enhance our appearance. We may be looking for our own Emerald City, that place of idyllic paradise here on the earth plane, that happy place where everyone likes us. Although often such a locale exists in our mind’s eye, there are times in our war-weary world of continual conflicts and constant irritations that we question whether we can find our own peace, inner peace, in the physical world. Let’s keep in mind that a completed puzzle is made up of various pieces neatly fitting together. Urged on by our soul and spirit, this Wednesday is a day when we can identify and assemble the varied pieces that will complete our own puzzle. We can accomplish a great deal today. We may feel driven by a force stronger than our personality to create the steps and the pieces that will eventually create the perfect world for ourselves. We do need to avoid idle chatter today and the naysayers who are addicted to their issues, their problems, their emotional morass. Today is a day to rise above mundane concerns and realize the divine design for each of us in our earth life journey.

Thursday, April 30th – The Importance of Two – Mercury, Saturn, Mercury Gemini. Thursday begins with the Virgo Moon trine Mercury. The Moon then moves into Libra where today the Moon sextiles Saturn. Mercury exits Taurus to enter its own Sign of Gemini. While we can put the finishing touches on any completions, makeovers and other forms of enhancing our style, the day belongs primarily to our relationships, those significant connections with other people. We might want to touch base with someone with whom we have been out of contact to see how they are doing. We could feel as though we have been through the wars, through difficult problems and challenging situations. We also have a sense of things lightening up, not taking things so seriously but engaging a bemused attitude towards the foibles of human nature. With Mercury entering Gemini, our mind can be… mercurial. Our thoughts may swing from one thing to another with no bridging sequiturs in between. We might have the gift of gab, interested in expressing random ideas but with little depth to any of them. We are far more interested in the quick and the witty, rather than the serious and contemplative. Some of our discussions today can revolve around our goals for the future, travel plans and general expansionary forces. We are looking to lighten up at the same that we lighten our load. Let’s embrace English author G. K. Chesterton’s suggestion: “Angels can fly because they can take themselves lightly.”

Friday, May 1st – May Day, Beltane – Jupiter, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus. Friday is May Day, Beltane, the day celebrated for the abundance and fertility of Mother Earth. We are halfway between the Vernal Equinox and the Summer Solstice and are becoming increasingly aware of the growing light in the northern hemisphere. This Friday has the Libra Moon sextile Jupiter and the Moon triggering the Uranus Pluto square with the Moon creating a T-Square with the Moon square Pluto and the Moon opposed Uranus. No matter what our plans for this day might be, it would be wise that we take a momentary interlude and in whatever way or ritual we might choose celebrate the fertility and bounty in our lives. We can have special appreciation for those people who contribute so richly to our lives. Our lives would be like nothing if it weren’t for that one significant person, those several very favorite people and the vast sprinkling of friends, loved ones and acquaintanceships that have added so much in our lives. This Friday is an expansive day but also a day when we might recall and bear witness even today to the dramatic shifts and even drastic changes that have occurred in our lives over the past several years. We may even take the time to acknowledge evidence of the paradigm shift, the radical change in the way life operates, transforming from the linear sequential progressions in which we were conditioned into the asequential, non-linear ways of life unfolding with its many mini-miracles and a huge dose of magic. Let’s take the time to acknowledge the shapeshifting we have gone through recently and embrace the fertility of our own personal lives, all the abundance and blessings that our lives contain.

Saturday, May 2nd – Lazy Dayz – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. This weekend can be a pleasant weekend despite the intense emotions and liable mood swings imposed by late Sunday’s, early Monday’s Scorpio Full Moon. Saturday begins with the Libra Moon trine Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio late today, early tomorrow. This is a day for us to spend with that special someone or favorite people. We are not looking to set the world on fire today but rather might have the opportunity of putting out some of the fires of our own creation that could have disrupted our healthy relationships. There is not a great deal of energy so we might choose to use this day to relax, luxuriate and enjoy. Friendly persuasion can go a long way in repairing any tears in our personal connections. Communications can be easy-going and people are likely to be more receptive to what is going on with the other person. Consideration and diplomacy may offset the past few weeks where all of us might have been a little too self-absorbed, self-focused, even to the point of being self-centered. We might want to do various activities today but probably not those that are too exerting or demanding of our energy. This is a day to catch our breath, maintain our balance and enjoy the wonders of the Spring season.

Sunday, May 3rd – Victim, Martyr or Spiritual Savior – Neptune, Scorpio Full Moon, Sun, Mercury, Saturn. Sunday can be an emotionally-charged day. The Scorpio Moon trines Neptune and the Moon opposes the Sun at the time of the Scorpio Full Moon, a Full Moon that is not only in Scorpio but is also in the second decanate of Scorpio with the Pisces influence. Mercury opposes Saturn. We have to watch that we don’t fall down the rabbit hole and feel ourselves victimized by ______ [fill in the blank with the name of a person, a situation, a characteristic, an incident, etc., etc.]. We could feel on edge today. We might have blinders on, seeing only what we want to see the way that we want to see it. It would be far wiser for us to use this day to concentrate on the spiritual aspect of ourselves. Taking time to reflect on the ups and downs of life and the vagaries of our earth life journey could help us have a more objective perspective regarding our conditions and circumstances. We need to bear in mind that we are dealing with a very intense Full Moon today. Let’s not consider our losses unless we take into account how they have provided new opportunities for us. As the saying goes: “when one door closes, another door opens up.”
