We may be looking over our shoulder, adjusting our pace and changing our focus during this week.
The week begins with us trying to make headway but feeling buffeted by our own irrational exuberance with the desire to leap before we look. If we would only think outside the box and engage the new paradigm whereby we don’t have to do it all but rather allow the universe to unfold in its own natural rhythm, then we could avoid banging our head against the wall, trying to make things happen in our own way and in our own time. Either we work with the universal energies unfolding with their providing a winching of the boulder up the mountain or Sisyphus-like we can try to roll the boulder up the mountain in our own style and in a rudimentary manner. Our choice, always our choice.
We are entering a high nervous energy time, a time when we may be in high gear, revving our engines but stuck in neutral and going nowhere. Let’s try and slow things down, for otherwise we might just exhaust ourselves with virtually nothing to show for it.
The mid-week period could prove explosive. Structures may crumble, our best laid plans may tumble. We have to be certain that we are building our projects upon rock and not upon sand. This mid-week time can see blasts of energy with various impacts including the liability towards earthquakes, volcanic activity, tornadoes, corporate problems, bomb blasts, ventings and ragings and other forms of violent releases.
The latter part of the week cautions us to avoid knee-jerk reactions but rather to allow the dust to settle before we respond to incidents.
The weekend gives us the Aries New Moon, an opportunity to spread our wings and prepare the planting of new seeds and the development of expansive springtime projects.
Monday, April 13th – Take the Long Way Home – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus. Monday starts the week with us in turbodrive. Although we have a head of steam and ready to put the pedal to the metal as we begin this day, our direction and itinerary may be lacking. Monday begins with the Aquarius Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square Mars and the Moon opposed Jupiter. Late in the day, the Moon sextiles Uranus. Monday could be rather frustrating. We want to bound ahead, have all sorts of plans in mind, but we could tend to overdo both in regard to our expenditures and our desire to take on ever more. Right planning would go a long way before we start this day. Otherwise, if we go on spirit and impulsiveness, we could find ourselves caroming from one activity to another to yet another, trying to cover all the bases but covering none effectively. Instead, we could spend a great deal of time, money and effort with the consequent result of our getting nowhere. No matter the stress and strain we put into this day, if we would only back off, deal with things step by step, address the specifics and details, then we might find that we may not have accomplished a great number of things but that what we did accomplish we did well. Trying to juggle various matters today could have us skipping over the particulars that could prove essential to successful implementation. After what could be a somewhat frustrating day, in the later hours we could find our path cleared and alternatives presenting themselves that allow us to streamline our operations and be far more effective with far less expenditure of energy.
Tuesday, April 14th – Bungee Cords – Sun, Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Saturn, Mercury Taurus. Monday evening could have provided us some relief from an otherwise frustrating day. We can ride this sense of unexpected ease from last evening into this Tuesday. The Aquarius Moon sextiles both the Sun and Mercury. Late in the day, the Moon moves into Pisces where today the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Venus in Gemini and the Moon square Saturn in Sagittarius. Tomorrow, Venus opposes Saturn, and today Mercury exits Aries to enter Taurus. The early part of the day can be filled with uplifting conversations, sharing ideas and considering the prospects for our future. Certain insights or new opportunities may be floated, and we could feel that we are on the right track. As the day progresses, the energy ratchets up, but the energy can be a high nervous energy with elements of anxiety mixed in. Our moods can go through swings and our attention minimal at best as we flit from one idea to another, all the while wondering if past situations are about to rise up and bite us in the backside. It is important for us to keep in mind that this Spring has a strong Mutable Sign T-Square influence as the Gemini-transiting planets oppose Saturn in Sagittarius and square Neptune in Pisces. Old issues thought resolved can bounce back for our consideration, all the while that we are trying to clear our head in order to figure out what is really going on. It will be essential that we avoid second-guessing, do our due diligence in order to understand what is truly happening.
Wednesday, April 15th – Taxing Situation – Neptune, Mars, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn. Today, the Pisces Moon conjuncts Neptune and the Moon sextiles both Mars in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries late tomorrow. Yesterday, the Pisces Moon triggered a T-Square by the Moon squaring Venus in Gemini and the Moon squaring Saturn in Sagittarius. Today, Venus opposes Saturn. In the US, this is TAX DAY, the day we scramble to file our federal income tax returns, unless we were ahead of the game and filed early. There can be some grumbling among people as newscasters inform us how many of our workdays are for the federal government [114 days, from January 1st until April 24th]. Despite this day being Tax Day, this day can be a highly productive day, if we start off on the right foot. We could be highly emotional as we begin this day, even to the point of ruminating on the age-old question of: what’s it all about? We may feel imposed upon by someone and have the sense that their demands are but a cry for attention. Let’s do what we need to do to quell other people’s concerns. For this day can be a day when we can accomplish a great deal, get things in order and focus on advancing our interests. If moodiness doesn’t get in our way, we can blend a highly intuitive sense with a highly productive and effective means to concentrate on the most significant aspects and achieve a great deal. This is a day for us to rein in our feelings and attend to our goals.
Thursday, April 16th – Waiting for the Shoe to Drop – Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Pluto retrograde. Thursday can be a day when we want to regroup, be with our innermost thoughts and consider an inventory taking of those things to keep and those things to be rid of. The day is slow starting with the Pisces Moon Void-of-Course making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries later in the day. The Moon in Aries trines Saturn late in the day, early Friday morning. The most significant energy today is a major energy shift as Pluto turns from direct to retrograde motion. Although we are all familiar with Mercury retrograde, which has become familiar even in the lexicon of everyday people, we may not be as familiar with the direction shifting of Pluto. Whenever Pluto changes direction, there is a liability to explosions, and these explosions can take the form of bomb blasts, geophysical activity, storm systems, actings out and other crash and burn scenarios. Any buildup of frustration over the past few days, weeks or months that have been percolating below the surface could find an intense release today. It would be wise for us to try and keep a handle on the energy without popping off.
Friday, April 17th – Out on a Bender – Venus, Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus, Mars. Friday can start off pleasantly enough. We may be feeling good about ourselves with us casting our ‘feel good’ attitude to one and all. The Aries Moon today sextiles Venus and the Moon trines Jupiter before late in the day the Moon triggers the Pluto Uranus configuration as the Moon squares Pluto and the Moon conjuncts Uranus. Mars squares Jupiter. We may be generous to a fault at the beginning of the day, but we might feel as though our benevolence is being taken for granted towards the end of the day. The liability towards excess and indulgence can be strong today, so we need to keep a firm grip on our expenditures and be wary that we are not living for the day without considering the impact on our future. This is a day when people may feel like a law unto themselves, doing what they want to do, bending the rules and not considering the consequences of their actions, much less accepting the possibility of unintended consequences of their actions. We may want to blow off some steam today, but let’s keep in mind that we are on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. Even if we want to initiate projects today, I would suggest we hold our horses and let our horses run after tomorrow’s New Moon.
Saturday, April 18th – To the Moon and Beyond – Aries Lunation, Sun. Saturday is punctuated by the Aries New Moon with the Moon conjunct the Sun in the last degrees of Aries. The Moon then moves into Taurus later in the day. New Moons are significant of new beginnings, launches, initiations. This New Moon encourages our expansive tendencies, a broadening of our interests and an optimistic attitude. Our attitude goes a long way towards our outcome. We may be feeling confident of our abilities and willing to set a new course far beyond our familiar parameters. Being close to the Taurus influence, this day allows us to gather our seeds of new plans and ready ourselves for planting those seeds in fertile soil. This next fortnight will provide us opportunities to lay down the foundation stones of our future. While we might be enthusiastic about all of our intentions, it would be wise for us to bear in mind the idea of building upon rock and not upon sand. The more solid our structure and our format for our new projects, the stronger the likelihood that they will succeed. Not everything we begin over the next two weeks will sprout and grow. We may have so many activities going on that we cannot consciously attend to them all. In any initiations now we might want to prioritize the most important down to the least important and nurture those that have the greatest meaning for us. All around us, we can see the renaissance of Spring with nature awakening from its winter slumber, animals birthing their offspring, and us waking from the discontent of winter with a new found self-appreciation and desire to put a mark upon our world.
Sunday, April 19th – Picking and Choosing – Neptune, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus. Although yesterday could have felt like the starting gun of a sprint going off, Sunday asks us to determine the right direction. The Taurus Moon today sextiles Neptune, the Moon conjuncts both Mercury and Mars, the Moon squares Jupiter and the Moon trines Pluto. Mercury sextiles Neptune, and Venus squares Neptune. Our intuitive sense can be heightened today, and we could have the sense of all the right moves. We do have to be wary of hangers on, either those people or situations that we know we need to be rid of but are just incredibly hard to shake off. We might feel that we can do it all, have it all today, but in trying to carry the world on our shoulders we could slow ourselves down or hinder our progress. This is a day when we need to trust our instincts, focus on our goals, all with the recognition that we might believe we can do it all but that things are far easier in concept and in our mind’s eye than in the practical reality of actually accomplishing what we need to get done. This Sunday is a day of consciously picking and choosing where to place our energy.
