This week is the first week of March and, like the idiom states, this week can ‘come in like a lion’. A manic Monday could flavor the start of this week.
While Mondays in recent past weeks might have started off slowly, not this week. The week begins with the Moon in Leo, the Sign of the Lion, and with a Fire Grand Trine too. We are energized, looking to express our creative side and wanting to put our imprint on anything and everything that we’re involved in.
The early part of the week can be a highly expansive time, but it would be wise for us to keep in mind the ebbs and flows of natural rhythms with the recognition that the volatility of these times can generate extreme ebbs and extreme flows.
Although we might start the week blowing our trumpet loudly, we may change our tune as we come into the mid-week period. Not only do we want to do what we want to do, but we could also be willing to step on some toes to do so. Someone might consider us out of character, but we are not overly interested in winning approval of, or gaining acceptance by, other people. We are far more interested in broadening our reach, exploring new interests and in leading our own journey.
There could be some hiccups along the way. Miscues, misdirection, gauntlets thrown down, and narcissistic self-involvement can all be part and parcel of situations we might have to deal with. But in dealing, let’s keep in mind that we don’t always have to meet incidents head on. We can always step away, step aside and choose not to engage. We may be feeling boisterous and self-confident, but it’s always wise to pick our battles. There’s no reason for us to justify, explain or gain adherents to our beliefs this week.
We can go our own way, do our own thing and focus on those involvements that truly have meaning for us.
The Virgo Full Moon can incentivize us to focus on our personal goals. We don’t have to start them now. We can plan and strategize and prepare ourselves for a great launch forward as we move into the Spring.
The end of the week and the weekend seems a great deal quieter, less obstreperous than the early part of the week. If we have stepped on toes or offended anyone by our self-enthusiasm, then Friday through the weekend could be a time for making nice with someone.
If the week has been hurly-burly of activities, then we might choose a relatively quiet weekend, disturbed possibly on Sunday with various demands and needs expressed by someone else.
Monday, March 2nd – Up and At It – Lunar Grand Trine, Saturn, Mars, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter. This Monday can have us jumping out of bed, ready to take on the world, and looking to put our personal mark on anything we encounter. There’s a fire in our belly, thanks to the Leo Moon that triggers the Fire Grand Trine with the Moon conjunct Jupiter, the Moon trine Saturn in Sagittarius and the Moon trine the Stellium of three planets in Aries — Mars, Venus and Uranus. This is a day for us to ‘make it work’, to borrow from Tim Gunn. We have the energy and the flair to set the world on… [yup, you got it] fire. It would be wise to recognize that while we are gung-ho about being on center stage, so too are many other people. The more we can create a win-win scenario, the better it would be. Otherwise, people may be jockeying for position, elbowing each other out and focusing on the narcissistic quality of self-love. Not that self love is a bad thing. It’s just that the energy today is too good to pass up. We can make a statement today, for our creative juices are flowing and our presentations can be dramatic and seductive. This is a great way to start the week — inspired, enthusiastic and feeling that we can do no wrong. We do have to be wary of taking on more than we can handle. We are likely to be self-confident and enthusiastic and feeling able to do more, more, more.
Tuesday, March 3rd – Tiptoeing or Crashing Into New Directions – Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter, Uranus. The day begins with the Leo Moon opposed Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over twenty-seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before entering Virgo tomorrow. Jupiter trines Uranus. Whether we were concentrating on our daily involvements yesterday or not, we might have had momentary hints of new directions we would wish to explore. This Tuesday doesn’t have a great deal of energy, and that might be even better for us. Often in the still of the night, in the quiet of the day, new ideas or random thoughts can come into our consciousness. We have the space to consider possibilities and the impetus to look with peripheral vision. This Tuesday can be one of those days. Even if things seem to have quieted down from yesterday’s raucous happening, today is one of those days when we might find ourselves in the right place at the right time. Serendipity and synchronicity can be a large part of this, and it would be wise for us to follow what immediate hits or sudden revelations we get to explore new directions. Not only can our creative juices be flowing, but this could also be a time when we learn of new technological advances, the streamlining of operations and increased productivity through the implementation of robotics, developed technological tools and other innovative approaches in practical application.
Wednesday, March 4th – Twister – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Neptune, Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto. With the thrust of energy that we might have garnered over the past two days, we might proceed on this Wednesday as though nothing could go wrong. Surprise! One of the characteristics of these times is volatility and with it the reality of how things can change dramatically in an instant. Our optimism and confidence continues strong today, and we are prepared to take machete in hand and carve our own way through the jungle of daily life. Unfortunately, we may be prepared energetically but perhaps not so much in our strategy and the itinerary to reach our destination. Wednesday has the Virgo Moon, and today the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Saturn and the Moon opposes Neptune. This can be a push-pull kind of day. We want to get on with our projects and we don’t want to be delayed by any intervening circumstances. We could have a liability of glossing over significant matters or like wrong way Corrigan head off in the wrong direction. We might be champing at the bit and willing to go off blindly with unbridled enthusiasm. Venus is highly active today with Venus trine Jupiter, Venus conjunct Uranus and Venus square Pluto. Yes, the Uranus Pluto square is engaged, but this engagement may prove less severe than next week’s Mars conjunct Uranus, Mars square Pluto. With Venus active today, there can be serendipitous encounters that trigger marvelous ideas of brighter ways for better days ahead for us. We do have to avoid traditionalists who may be naysayers to our enthusiasm. We also need to prevent ourselves from overstepping the bounds of legitimate statutes or the appropriate methods of doing things. We may want what we want and our tendency would be towards over expanding and taking on too much. This is a day when it would be wise for us to take it down a notch or two and not get caught up in the marvels that we envision, since we could wind up going around in circles and at a great expense to ourselves.
Thursday, March 5th – Get ‘Er Done – Virgo Full Moon, Sun, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday has the Virgo Full Moon with the Moon opposed the Sun and the Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over thirty hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra late on Friday. This Thursday can be a highly productive time, a time when we can accomplish a great deal. If we would prioritize our interests, we can focus both on the big picture and also deal with the specific details of our ventures. We could virtually move mountains today, but we need to concentrate on those involvements that serve a significant purpose to us. Earlier this week, we might have been on our high horse considering options and possibilities. Today, we have the ability to narrow our focus to our responsibilities and tasks at hand. Let’s keep in mind that to get to our future, even a dramatically altered future, from our present circumstance, we need to build a suspension bridge to get from where we are to where we want to go. This Thursday is a good day to deal with matters at hand but also to give thought to the foundation stones for our future. We need to go step-by-step, dealing with what has to be done today, all the while realizing that today fashions our tomorrows. Let deal with the particulars today but not lose sight of the bigger picture of our ambitions.
Friday, March 6th – Tying Up Loose Ends – Moon Void-of-Course. The Virgo Moon that went Void-of-Course with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo continues through much of today. Late in the day, the Moon exits Virgo to enter Libra. There is not a great deal of energy today, except to tie up the loose ends of outstanding matters that we want to bring to closure and complete the tasks before we come into the weekend. We may need to address routine matters that we might have postponed earlier in the week. This is a day when we could have our nose to the grindstone, tidying up, straightening up, cleaning up the clutter and clearing off our desks. Late in the day, we might seek out time with that special someone. If we were a little too much for other people earlier in the week, whether we were self-absorbed and a little too narcissistic, we are now becoming far more considerate of other people’s needs. Friday night and the weekend may be geared up for social interactions, getting off the track with that special someone and enjoying other people’s company.
Saturday, March 7th – Catching Up – Saturn, Mars. Saturday continues with the Libra Moon, and today the Moon sextiles Saturn and the Moon opposes Mars. The day can be quite pleasant to begin with. Even if we have to do errands, we are likely to take some time for a breakfast, brunch or lunch with someone we enjoy. Although the early part of the week may have had a great deal of self focus, the weekend is time to catch up with those special people in our lives, even if it’s only momentary. Getting out of Dodge, talking about the purpose of our lives, considering all our possibilities can be shared with someone today. Everything about our relationships seems to go well early in the day. It’s as we come towards the end of the day that situations between people could become contentious. Like a tug-of-war, we may engage in a battle of egos, one person wanting to do one thing, the other person wanting to do something else. All the smoothing over of the week’s earlier self-centeredness can get lost, as people point out the earlier transgressions. If belligerence starts to creep into our relationships late in the day, we might want to cool it and not make matters worse by becoming adversarial. We all have our needs and sometimes we just assume the other person will intuitively understand what we need and what we want. It would be far better to be conciliatory in the evening hours, or we could find ourselves in a never-ending battle of wits.
Sunday, March 8th – Ya Can’t Please Everyone, So Ya Got To Please Yourself – Jupiter, Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Pluto, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. We may not be going to a garden party today, but social interactions could be part of this Sunday. The Libra Moon today sextiles Jupiter and the Moon trines Mercury. The Moon also triggers the Uranus Pluto square with the Moon square Pluto and the Moon opposed both Uranus and Venus. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio tomorrow. Unlike this past Monday, tomorrow can be reminiscent of recent slow-starting Mondays. This Sunday starts off in an upbeat mood. We are looking to enjoy ourselves, engage other people and just have a fun time. It’s Sunday! While we may intend to have a good time, unexpected situations might arise that force us to rework our plans. Any lingering resentments between people could become full-blown today. People might engage that baleful game of passive-aggressive whereby we might initially agree on something but then the plans change, possibly just for the sake of making a change or even as a power-tripping gimmick. Relationships can be strained today. It’s important that we embrace our adaptability and flexibility. Otherwise, we might be sorely frustrated and disappointed with everything that is going on. The latter part of the day is less contentious and more placid. Even if we have relationship issues today, we can find hallowed ground and wind up on the same page in the evening.
