February 23rd – March 1st, 2015

Despite the weather or any delays that have occurred over recent weeks, we have a second wind this week and are ready to move mountains or at least get our personal goals moving forward.

It may still be winter but we are sensing the approach of our own personal spring, our individual renaissance and a desire for new initiations and launching new projects.

We may be tripped up as we start the week by outstanding matters or past situations that block our progress. Conceptually, we might assume easy sledding, but let’s always recognize that what occurs in our mind’s eye is far easier to accomplish than in the physical reality of manifestation on the lower frequencies of the mundane earth plane. It would be wise for us to pick our battles, prioritize our activities and focus on the most meaningful. Otherwise, we could shoot ourselves in the foot by trying to do too much, taking on too much and assuming that the ease of completion that we conceive can also be as easy to physically achieve. It just ain’t happening.

If we listen to our inner voice during the mid-part of the week, then we can virtually move mountains. We have to be wary of distractions and may need to avoid those people who, like Monday morning quarterbacks, think they know best but aren’t on the playing field with us.

This is a week for us to concentrate.

We do have to watch the news headlines and read between the lines. There can be a great deal of saber rattling this week and impetuous actions. It would be wise for us to play the devil’s advocate with the sense that what is presented as news is often nothing more than propaganda to sway public opinion and to get to do what the powers-that-be choose to do. World situations may not always have a direct personal impact upon our individual lives, but like a pebble in a pond world events can have a ripple effect that influence the conditions in which we find ourselves.

As I have written more than once, even to the point of monotonous repetition, these times call for us to fully engage the two characteristics of: awareness and mindfulness.

We don’t want to be snookered by the big guy bullies.

This week allows us to catch up, tie up loose ends, and bring completion to certain outstanding matters. The more we can do so in the first half of the week, the more we can engage interesting, even surprising, new opportunities later in the week and over the weekend.

The latter part of the week into the weekend can be a seesaw, times when we have a great deal of energy with unexpected incidents arising, other times when things slow down to very little movement.

We may end the weekend on a high note, with spontaneous get-togethers and unplanned excursions and with us bringing in March like the classic idiom as we roar like a lion.

Monday, February 23rd – Wearing Ourselves Out – Sun, Neptune, Pluto, Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn. This week may start with the greatest intentions, but such a sentiment reminds me of the wise old saying that ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions’. The week begins on this Monday with the Taurus Moon sextile both the Sun and Neptune in Pisces. We may have a strategy, a well-devised plan as to how we can accomplish what we want to get done. Where a problem might arise is when the rubber hits the road, and we start to implement our plan. For the Moon also triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Taurus Moon square Mercury in Aquarius and the Moon square Jupiter in Leo. The Moon does trine Pluto and the Sun squares Saturn. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-six hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini late on Tuesday, early Wednesday. While our thoughts may be that our goals can be easily accomplished, and they certainly can in our mind’s eye, the actual accomplishments could run afoul of various monkey wrenches, including old issues we thought resolved now demanding attention, putting too much on our plate, an irrational exuberance of over self-confidence, various distractions and other people’s yammering. If we could only focus on what is truly significant today, then in actual fact we might not be tripped up by the vagaries of circumstances or our own liability to shooting ourselves in the foot by taking our eye off the ball. This day could be a highly productive day. We just have to watch that we’re not like a dog chasing its tail, going around in circles, and in the process wearing ourselves out and at the end of the day not achieving as much as we might have accomplished had we maintained our focus.

Tuesday, February 24th – Old Friends – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn. We could have easily exhausted ourselves yesterday by mimicking a pachinko machine, bounding all over our game board. Late yesterday, the Moon went Void-of-Course in Taurus as the Moon no longer made any connections to the planets as the Moon finished its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini late today, early Wednesday. The Moon is Void-of-Course all day on this Tuesday. There is not a great deal of energy today, except possibly to have our nose to the grindstone and do what needs to get done. We may look up now and again, and some of our looking up may be to contact or be contacted by someone from our past. If we owe someone a ‘hi, how you doing?’, today might be the day to do so. We could also be on the receptive end. Certainly, this mid-week period of Tuesday and Wednesday can have us addressing old issues or past situations. Similar to the idea presented in Castaneda’s last book, The Active Side of Infinity, we may have an experience of a recapitulation of a past event or situation that we went through. Yes, this Tuesday and Wednesday could have us taking a walk down Memory Lane. But let’s keep in mind that even if we are doing a recapitulation of a past situation, it is important for us to also use it as a mirror to show us where we were then as compared to whom we have become in the interim. We have all gone through major, dramatic transformations over the past few years and this day and tomorrow might provide us an opportunity of the sharp contrast between us then and now.

Wednesday, February 25th – Catch a Wave – Mars, Venus, Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Sun, Neptune. Whether we catch a wave and find ourselves sitting on top of the world or wiping out and crashing onto the shoreline, this day is one highly active day with energies that have us pushing and being pushed aggressively ahead but with ill-defined consequences. Yesterday might have proven a brief respite from the usual intensity of our present lives. Wednesday is considered ‘hump’ day coming as it does in the middle of the workweek. This Wednesday can be more than a hump, more akin to a tsunami-like wave, especially when compared to yesterday or tomorrow. Today, the Moon is in Gemini with the Moon sextiling both Mars and Venus in Aries, the Moon trine Mercury in Aquarius and the Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Gemini Moon opposed Saturn in Sagittarius and the Moon square both the Sun and Neptune in Pisces. The Sun conjuncts Neptune, and Mars trines Saturn. It would be wise for us to give some thought and planning as to what we intend to do on this Wednesday. For without it, once out the door, we can get caught up in a wave of various activities that may have us juggling any number of situations, feeling intuitively guided, putting out a great deal of effort but not truly understanding what we are doing or why we are doing it. Preparation before action is everything today. Why waste the momentum when we can direct it? Let’s trust our instincts but also have itinerary and direction in hand.

Thursday, February 26th – Realms of Possibilities – Uranus, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. The beauty of these times of the new paradigm is that it opens the door, or at least a window, into a realm of magic and mini-miracles. Although we have all been conditioned into believing that we have to make things happen for anything to occur, we are increasingly serving witness to those random events and wonderful surprises that seem to come out of nowhere. The new paradigm speaks to the affirmation that: ‘Anything is possible’. During these times, nothing is impossible unless we refuse to accept the fact that even the impossible is possible. Early Thursday morning, the Gemini Moon sextiles Uranus in Aries and the Moon sextiles Jupiter in Leo. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over twenty-eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before entering Cancer tomorrow. Flashes of genius, moments of revelation, instances of insight sometimes come to us when we least expect it, in our sleep or when we are thinking about something else. Suddenly, like a sharp prodding our mind becomes illumined. Thursday can be one of those days, a time when we become aware of options and alternatives that we had never considered for ourselves. We might become inspired by the ‘what could be’, and we could use some of this Thursday to contemplate and reflect on the suspension bridge and slats we might need to get us from where we are to the promised land of where we could later be from what had been revealed to us. There may not be a great deal of energy to implement the means to achieve new directions, but we need to keep in mind that the conception is the first step in the manifestation. We don’t need to know all the ways or the means to accomplish our plans. We do need to believe that what is revealed to us can in deed be the next step, or future steps, along the pathway of our earth life journey. This is a day for us to broaden our perspective, widen the realm of our possibilities and recognize that the universe truly does work in mysterious ways.

Friday, February 27th – Ground Control to Major Tom – Mars, Neptune. The last couple of days, and especially yesterday, may have seemed otherwordly. We might have had hunches, feelings, senses about what could be. To some degree, our head may have been in the clouds with our feet hardly touching the ground. That’s not a bad thing so long as we don’t cut the silver cord that attaches us to our physical body. If we did disengage from our physical self, we could have found ourselves lost in space. Friday is a day for us to try and get a grip on our present reality. Future impressions are all well and good, but they are still fantasies of prospects and possibilities. Friday has the Moon moving into Cancer after another one of those long Void-of-Course Moons. The Moon today squares Mars, and the Moon trines Neptune. We might want to engage the familiarity of our lives today. While we can have a desire to get on with it, be the pioneers in our own grand adventure of doing life, this Friday may be a day when we need the comfort and nurture of home and family, all the comforts of our known. There are times when we need to slow things down in order to regroup, take the time to contemplate and enjoy the sanctuary of our own space. Friday is one of those days to do that.

Saturday, February 28th – Up and At ‘Em – Sun, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Uranus, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. We may be fast out the door on this Saturday. Much of the activity comes earlier in the day. The Cancer Moon today trines the Sun, and the Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square Venus and the Moon triggering the Uranus Pluto square with the Moon square Uranus and the Moon opposed Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over twenty-nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo late Sunday. We might want to do what we want to do today, but we could be swimming upstream against the current in trying to do so. Whether we have our specific errands to perform or someone presents us with a detailed itinerary for the day, our desire for spontaneity and impulsive behavior may be squashed by what needs to get done. In order not to trip ourselves up or be tripped up by someone else, we might have to do the tai chi moves whereby we are nimble and quick in dealing with all the many things on our list. We could find ourselves running around, taking care of our commitments but also stepping off the track to enjoy momentary interludes of fascinating situations that arise. With us likely to be in overdrive in the morning hours, we could easily run out of gas and look to a more restful afternoon and evening. Let’s do what we can do without feeling cornered or that a gun is being held to our head. This is a day when we might not be able to do it all, so let’s do what we can and still allow ourselves some moments of immediate gratification that might not be on our scheduled list.

Sunday, March 1st – Surprising Developments – Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter. Sunday continues with one of those long Void-of-Course Moons, the third this week, where the Moon makes no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo late this Sunday night. While there is not a great deal of energy to get much done, there are two significant energies today to be aware of: Mercury sextile Uranus and Mercury opposed Jupiter. Even if we feel that we are sitting around ‘waiting for Godot’ with nothing planned and nothing on our plate to do, unexpected news could come knocking and we might find ourselves impulsively reacting to something that we become aware of. Serendipity, magic and mini-miracles can all be part of this Sunday. We just have to have our eyes and ears wide open for some interesting developments. This day could offer us a brand new trajectory, an interest or activity that takes us in a different direction. We might feel buoyed by the sense of things happening in a most random manner. No sequential linearity today. We are likely to be on the asequential jag with surprising events unfolding, AND we don’t have to make them happen. We just have to be open to them.
