We may need to slalom the moguls this week with the diverse energies that demand we be fleet of foot and ever vigilant to the unexpected.
The Uranus Pluto square that has challenged us for the past two and a half years is at play again this week, creating delays, adding frustrations and throwing curveballs at us. This is a week for us to be fully aware, mindful as to what is going on and able to shift and change according to the exigencies of the conditions.
This is Christmas week. Many of us may be off from our usual routine and concentrating on holiday plans. Unfortunately, our schedule might meet the vagaries of these times, so it would be wise for us to consider contingency plans to our commitments and intentions.
We may be getting things in order as we start the week, but things may not proceed as smoothly as we might like. We are likely to be making our list, checking it twice in order to be slightly ahead of the curve with preplanning intending to lessen our stress and shorten our time spent on holiday preparations.
A major energy shift occurs this week as Saturn ends its transit of Saturn to enter Sagittarius. Coinciding with Mercury triggering the Uranus Pluto square mid-week, getting from one place to another could prove dicey at best. It would be wise for us to add on extra time in our travels, appreciate the liability to delays and expect possible miscommunications and misunderstandings.
Holidays tend to ramp up great expectations, many of which go unfulfilled and this holiday might prove true to form — great in concept, problematic in implementation.
While the mid-week period could be a little bumpy, the end of the week and the weekend seem far more serene. Much of the hub-bub during the week seems to die down, and we may find ourselves enjoying the sanctity of the origins of these holidays — the spiritual connection representative of the light being born from the darkness.
We end the weekend looking to spread our wings and ready for some grand new adventure.
Monday, December 22nd – Making Our Plans, Getting Things in Order – Neptune, Mercury, Uranus, Pluto, Venus. We could be in high gear as we start this week. Monday has the Moon in Capricorn sextile Neptune, the Moon square Uranus and the Moon conjunct the three planets transiting Capricorn — Mercury, Pluto and Venus. We may have a vision as to what we want to get done, and much of it can be accomplished. We do have to be aware that unanticipated variables could pop up and force us to add, subtract or otherwise alter some of our preconceived notions. This is a day for us to make our preparations for our holiday plans, no matter what those plans might entail. This Monday may seem an arduous day where we have nose to grindstone, taking care of last minute arrangements and getting things in order. It would be far wiser for us to effectively handle as much as we can on this Monday, since the next few days could get a little squirrely. Not only can we get our holiday plans in order but we can also take care of outstanding matters, deal with the details of our lives and wrap up various issues that we would prefer not to bring into the new year.
Tuesday, December 23rd – As the World Turns – Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Saturn Sagittarius. Late on Monday, early Tuesday the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius late Tuesday, early Wednesday. Saturn ends its transit of Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. The Moon in Aquarius sextiles Saturn. There is not a great deal of energy on this Tuesday, but there is a major and dramatic shift in energy with Saturn moving into Sagittarius. While the last couple of years may have had a focus on our financial standing with the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer and the middle class all but wiped out; Saturn’s two and a half year cycle focuses now on our philosophical beliefs and our higher mind, our consciousness. On the one hand, our perspective may broaden as we take off blinders and consider areas of interest foreign to our experience. On the other hand, our beliefs and understandings may crystallize with a prejudice to earthbound awareness. We may be far more serious about our intentions, and we could find that we are looking to be far more practical in regard to our future plans and our future goals. No more castles in the air for us. We may want to be certain that our projects are grounded in practical reality as we take them from the abstract conceptual through execution, implementation and manifestation. With the energy of this holiday period revolving around the birth of light in the darkness, we may find that we are looking to incorporate our spirit into action.
Wednesday, December 24th – Ducking and Dodging – Uranus, Mars, Mercury. Here we go again. Just as the US Thanksgiving holiday had some difficult energies that translated for many people into travel nightmares, this Wednesday and Thursday of the Christmas holiday could be as perplexing if not downright convoluted in regard to travel, miscues and miscommunications. Wednesday has the Aquarius Moon sextile Uranus and the Moon conjunct Mars. We are likely to be adamant about carrying out our plans on this Wednesday. Where a problem arises is the triggering of the Uranus Pluto square by Mercury with Mercury today square Uranus and Mercury conjunct Pluto tomorrow. The Mercury Uranus square is my least favorite for travel, and especially air travel. And so, here we might go again with some people having their travel plans disrupted. We also have to be wary of computer glitches today, Internet problems, communications being off with a liability to misunderstandings. Startling news could throw us off center. We have to avoid any knee jerk reactions for we might decide to act without getting the full scoop on what is going on. Today is a day for us to slow things down, work with peripheral vision and not jump at any thing that comes up. Surprises might be exciting, not all of them necessarily pleasurable.
Thursday, December 25th – It’s Christmas, Merry Christmas – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Mercury, Pluto. Thursday is Christmas Day and no matter how we might celebrate the occasion, this Thursday might be fraught with various issues. Let’s keep in mind the purpose of this day — the celebration of the birth of light in the heart of darkness. We might have to keep this idea in mind mantram-like, for otherwise there can be a tendency for great expectations and great expectations that can hardly be realized. The day begins with the Aquarius Moon opposed Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost thirteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before entering Pisces late today, early tomorrow where the Moon initially squares Saturn. Mercury finishes its trigger of the Uranus Pluto square, with Mercury square Uranus yesterday and the Mercury conjunct Pluto today. A sense of excess and indulgence could start the day with us finishing off the day with a hangover of overdoing it whether our overdoing has been our food ingestion, our drink intake or our recognition of how much we have spent over the holidays. Although everything may seem merry on the outside, it is essential that we recognize that there is a great intensity happening underneath with the liability of discussions turning into heated exchanges, turning into quarrels, turning into nasty arguments, turning into… you get the idea. Thursday may be a day when we have to be highly flexible and adaptable, lower our expectations and enjoy the camaraderie and the spiritual essence of our friends and loved ones.
Friday, December 26th – The Real Thing – Sun, Neptune, Pluto. While yesterday may have been Christmas, this Friday is far more spiritual. Perhaps we feel less pressure on us and are willing to focus less on the material stuff and more on the connections with our loved ones. As the old saying goes: “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and unto God that which is God’s.” Although Christmas is all about the spiritual essence and growth of our light being, Christmas has become another one of those material holidays where we concentrate on stuff, giving stuff and getting stuff. Et tu, Caesar! Yesterday, we might have been more involved in the material aspects of our lives and the fun that acquisitions provide us. This Friday has the Pisces Moon sextile the Sun and the Moon sextile Pluto. The Moon conjuncts Neptune and the Sun sextiles Neptune. This is a day when we can connect with our own “godness”, spend special time with family and friends and give time to ourselves in reflection, contemplation and appreciation for all the blessings in our lives. This Friday could prove to be the real thing of what these holidays are all about.
Saturday, December 27th – Taking It Slow – Mercury, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. The early morning hours of Saturday has the Pisces Moon sextile both Mercury and Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost fifteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early Sunday. This day may be slow starting. We might be clearing the decks of our holiday celebrations and prepare for the New Year celebrations next week. We might also just luxuriate at home without the need to do a great deal. We may have expended a great deal of energy over the recent holiday and just want to take time to regroup. Part of our regrouping can also be tying up loose ends associated with matters we wish to conclude before we come into the new year. Friday and Saturday can find us highly emotional. Our spiritual side may be highlighted and our intuitive sense can be enhanced. Our feelings are strong, and we might go out of our way for those people we love. We might be far more interested in showing our appreciation with small gestures and heart-warming compliments rather than by store-bought stuff. We do not have to show our love through material items but rather by opening our heart and sharing our love. Friday and Saturday can be magical days of gratitude and blessings. Let’s embrace all the true gifts in our lives — the people who sparkle our lives, the opportunities that magically come our way and all the blessings that make up our lives.
Sunday, December 28th – Fast Out of the Gate – Saturn, Sun, Uranus. We might have caught our breath over the past two days, recharged our batteries, and this Sunday sees us ready to get back on the track. The Moon in Aries today trines Saturn, the Moon squares Sun, and the Moon conjuncts Uranus. This is a day when we may decide to try out new things and investigate new realms of interests. This can be a fascinating day, for we are willing to do the necessary legwork before we dive into our explorations. This is a day of initiations and getting off our normal track into areas foreign to us. We may choose to do things impulsively, spontaneously and be more ‘in the moment’ than hewing to our schedules. From any reflections we might have had over the past two days we may feel that we’ve got the world on a string and ready to launch into those activities that enthuse and inspire us.
