This week we might be all about business, focusing on the specifics of our projects, ridding ourselves of the extraneous, all the while going through swings of intense energy at times, other times when we may feel like the air has been let out of our tires.
They say that the ‘pathway to hell is paved with good intentions’, and we might test the theory this week. For we begin the week with good intentions and perhaps even great expectations. We are committed, determined and ready to move mountains. Unfortunately, the universe’s planning and zoning board may have other ideas as to where and how we are able to move mountains.
Despite our greatest efforts, we might find ourselves banging up against impenetrable forces, our plans blocked by traditional standards. If we find ourselves being impeded in our progress, it would be wise for us to consider alternatives and options. As the saying goes: ‘necessity is the mother of invention’. Instead of throwing our hands up and giving up in despair, we can forge ahead with our projects by considering all the different ways by which we can realize our goals.
The mid-week period can find us highly resourceful, taking care of the details and engaging a best practices approach. We may question the resources we have available to us and focus so intently on how we perceive things should be done that we squeeze the life out of our activities. Let’s realize that once something is set into motion, it has a life of its own. We are but the facilitators and the visionkeepers of our intentions, and the more we can allow our involvements to unfold in their own miraculous ways the greater likelihood of our success. We do not have to do it all. We do not have to assume total control over situations, for situations once started take on a life of their own and can be realized with our help, efforts and willingness to let things develop in their own natural ways.
Even if we try to do too much or restrict our efforts by too great a degree, we could find the universe stepping in, fixing the tipping points and bringing things back into balance. Too much, too little is not merely a Goldilocks scenario. It is one that we could find ourselves caught up in as we come towards the end of the week.
The weekend can be a fun autumnal weekend, a time when we might want to explore new realms, get out of Dodge and engage activities that are new to us and different from our regular interests. We just have to watch that the balancing point of too much and too little doesn’t sway over to excess and overindulgence as we end the weekend.
Monday, November 3rd – The Real Deal – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Pluto. Monday starts the week with the Pisces Moon trine Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before entering Aries today. The Sun sextiles Pluto. We can feel impelled to be productive today, and productive we can be in the most resourceful manner possible. We might not share everything that we are doing or intending. We may keep our cards close to our chest today, and our singular focus on our personal interests can cut us off from other people. No matter, for this day allows us to virtually move mountains. We have the determination, the persistence and an unflagging energy to get things done. We may start the day in a visionary fashion, aware of what we can do with what is available to us. We may easily engage a best practices approach today. Nothing is left unused and our use can be spot on to accomplish our objectives. This Monday is a highly productive day. We might feel as though we are an island unto ourselves, somewhat cut off from other people and concentrating on our own personal interests. Such an attitude is fine, but we have to recognize that we might be walking a fine line between doing our own thing and alienating people by being a little too distant. Let’s avoid stepping on any toes today, excuse ourselves from overly participating with other people, and concentrate on what we wish to achieve.
Tuesday, November 4th – Push Back – Mars, Pluto, Uranus. Tuesday could have us banging up against standard operating procedures. The Aries Moon today squares both Mars and Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon conjuncts Uranus. If we are looking for other people to join in celebration of our accomplishments and our plans, we could experience a push back of naysayers and rejection instead. We might find ourselves banging up against old structures and traditional ways of doing things. We might experience limitations to what we want to do by those in authority or by an unwillingness of other people to engage our sentiments. Although we might find resistance to our plans, any attempted restrictions may only harden our insistence to doing what speaks to us and what allows us to put our personal mark on our activities. This is a day when we could decide that we cannot really put up with outmoded practices and choose instead to assert our autonomy and go our own way.
Wednesday, November 5th – All About Me – Jupiter, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Late on Tuesday, early Wednesday, the Aries Moon trines Jupiter. We may be feeling good about things, upbeat and inspired and ready to spread our wings. We can be highly expansive as we start this Wednesday, but instead of drawing upon support from other people we might have to engage our own enthusiasm and exuberance. Someone might disapprove of our plans, might have better ideas for us than our own, but it would be wise to avoid taking other people’s counsel too much to heart. As I often suggest to people: ‘check the source and check their agenda’. Someone might want us to get involved with something that may be to their benefit but to our detriment. The early morning hours have the most energy, although something of a seesaw from feeling optimistic to someone putting in a word that makes us question ourselves and our plans. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eight hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before entering Taurus later in the day. The first part of this week can be used for considering our possibilities, recognizing some liable glitches that could get in the way but also offering a tempering of our ideas and plans. Tomorrow might prove a better day for implementation.
Thursday, November 6th – Foresight and Persistence – Neptune, Mars, Pluto, Taurus Full Moon, Sun, Venus. Thursday has the Taurus Moon sextile Neptune, the Moon trine both Mars and Pluto and the Taurus Full Moon with the Moon opposed both the Sun and Venus. This day can be a highly productive day, a day when we can blend our intuitive sense with dogged determination to get things done, even to the point of making the impossible possible. Even if we are tripped up by unexpected situations or a question of resources available to us, we may be like a terrier whereby once we sink our teeth into something we are totally unwilling to let go. We do have to be wary of glossing over situations, assuming that our intent is enough to make things happen and allowing euphoria to blind us to the reality of specifics. Our mood swings today may be extreme and we could find ourselves in the role of savior one moment, martyr the next. Either we might feel on top of the world or a victim to the vagaries of circumstance. This is a day when due diligence can be well rewarded. Wherever we put our energies today, we can virtually move mountains. We just have to be certain that the mountains we wish to move have relevance to our goals and that we keep our eye on the mechanics, the methodology, the direction, itinerary and intended destination.
Friday, November 7th – Too Much of This, Not Enough of That – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday continues with the Taurus Moon and today the Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square Jupiter and the Moon opposed Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before entering Gemini later today. This day can be a whipsaw between indulgence and abnegation, and the flip-flop could drive us slightly insane. On the one hand, we might stretch beyond reasonable limits. On the other hand, we could overly restrict ourselves. The focus of this day is our ability to find balance, to develop a point of equilibrium between being overly effusive and being too reserved. While the metronome motion between extremes may prove exhausting, it does allow us to perfect our balancing act and during these highly volatile times, balance is our saving grace. Akin to the middle path in Buddhism, the middle pillar in the Kabbalah, our life’s journey is all about finding and maintaining balance. This Friday provides the challenge, and the golden opportunity, for us to test our abilities of balance. Like the fairytale of Goldilocks and the three bears, this day allows us to go between too much of this and not enough of that to eventually come to what is exactly just right. Despite the extremes of today, the energy dies down briefly as the day progresses before picking up with our stepping out during the evening hours.
Saturday, November 8th – World of Possibilities – Neptune, Uranus, Mercury Scorpio. If we thought we were trapped yesterday in a seesaw between too much and not enough, this Saturday could have us feeling like we are in a spin cycle. The Moon in Gemini today squares Neptune and the Moon sextiles Uranus. Mercury exits Libra to enter Scorpio adding greater weight to the Scorpio Stellium with Mercury joining the Sun, Venus and Saturn in the Fixed Water Sign. We may start the day with a kaleidoscope of different activities, various interests and wide involvements that we could engage. So many options open to us could have our head spinning. We might find that initially we are going around in circles, looking to address our ‘to do’ list of many errands to complete, all the while that we would prefer to strike out on our own in an exploration of unfamiliar terrain. No matter how long we spend in our spin cycle, we are eventually likely to break free and do something that grabs our interest. This is one of those days when our plans can go awry and yet some other exciting development could arise that can be far more enjoyable than what we had scheduled. As I often suggest: the universe often has far greater plans for us than we could have ever imagined for ourselves. This Saturday is a day to cast our fate to the winds and be open to interesting and unexpected possibilities arising. Let’s bear in mid that we don’t have to make things happen but we do need to be open to possibilities arising unexpectedly.
Sunday, November 9th – More, More, More, How Do You Like It? – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus. Sunday continues with the Moon in Gemini and today the Moon sextiles Jupiter before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over sixteen hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer tomorrow. Venus squares Jupiter. This is a day when enough may never be enough. We want it all and then some. The liability towards extravagance cannot be discounted today. We may go for it in a big way. We are looking to enjoy ourselves today and nothing is too much. This is a day when we could get caught up in a whirlwind of ecstasy and exhibit our exuberance by indulging our appetites with food, shopping, makeovers and any other pastime that gives us pleasure. We are not measuring the cost of our appetites today, only looking to satiate them. As the day progresses, we might feel as though we have run out of steam and seek the company of a good friend to chat up over a tea, coffee or beer. While this Sunday can be one of those ‘feel good’ days, we do have to avoid going to excessive and beyond in satisfying ourselves.
