October 27th – November 2nd, 2014

This week can have us looking for solace in any place other than where we are. We may be tripping the light fantastic this week.

This is the first full week of Mercury direct, the three-week Mercury retrograde cycle having ended this past Saturday. This past week had a major shift in energy not only with Mercury turning direct but also with the Solar Eclipse at the time of the Scorpio New Moon, also a time when both Venus and the Sun exited Libra to enter Scorpio. We had a Libra Stellium replaced now by a Scorpio Stellium of three planets in the Fixed Water Sign.

This week begins a little trippy. We may be highly confident about what is going on in our lives, optimistic about our future, all the while that we are discounting, or even neglecting, all the crazy matters going on in the world at large. No matter the antics of the powers-that-be, for we could be on cloud nine, open to the possibilities, and willing to step into our own fantasia of creating our own reality.

Recent new thought disciples have emphasized the idea of creating our own reality, and there is certainly a large measure of truth to the assertion. But the underlying belief of creating our own reality plays into the misguided mindset of the old paradigm which asserts our being in total control and able to make things happen according to our intentions and our will. Instead of the old paradigm and mindset of our being in total control over situations, the times they are a’changing and our role now is to be co-creators in our destiny along with the natural universal unfolding. While things in times past may have seemed more in stasis with a sequential progression from beginning through middle to the end, our present and future times are far more volatile with entry into asequential reality where things occur suddenly and rapidly and often without any understood or linear progression. While our new ‘normal’ of reality might be disconcerting to some, and especially to those who would like to plan things out to the smallest iota; these times open the door to magic and miracles where radical transformations can occur in less than a nanosecond of time.

The beginning of this week can have us flying high fueled by enthusiasm and a sense of our being intuitively guided. We may feel as though all is right in our own personal world. Both by our sense of things and by due diligence we can devise how we can best go about advancing our interests, developing our projects.

The mid-week period, often referred to as the ‘hump’ of the week, could be slightly disarming. Our sense of infallibility and that everything was moving perfectly ahead in our personal realm can be imposed upon by the vagaries operating in the world-at-large. Restrictions and limitations handed down as if by edict from the powers-that-be can seem to dampen our exuberance and even generate a level of anxiety lacking in our sensibilities just a few days prior.

No matter how much the outside world may impinge upon our ‘feel good’ attitude, we can dispel their input and their influence as we come towards the end of the week and over the weekend. We may use this weekend to clean up, clear out, give ourselves a good autumnal cleaning. We might also seek out some entertaining venues to gather with good friends and enjoy the harvest fairs and festivals that go with this time of the season.

The weekend comes to closure with a strong spiritual influence. We can pierce the veil of maya, make sense of all that is going on in our lives and realize the true essence of our being to determine where we want to go and what we want to do in our days ahead.

Monday, October 27th – In Love With Life – Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Neptune. We may start this week with a song on our lips and love in our heart. This Monday has the Sagittarius Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon triggering a Fire Grand Trine as the Sagittarius Moon trines Uranus in Aries and the Moon trines Jupiter in Leo. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eighteen hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before entering Capricorn tomorrow. Venus trines Neptune, followed by the Sun trine Neptune tomorrow. This Monday can be one of those ‘feel good’ days when everything seems right in our world. We could be expanding our interests and our projects, incorporating exciting new developments that speak to our sense of adventure and that allow us to engage our creative abilities. Our discussions can be upbeat and encouraging to other people. We shall have no naysayers on this Monday. We are too in love with life to let anyone dampen our spirits. Our upbeat attitude can be contagious, and we may find ourselves spreading the cheer to everyone with whom we come into contact and receiving good cheer in return. This is one of those brilliant days when we might feel as if everything is going our way and we reflect on the belief that ‘life doesn’t get better than this.’ Let’s enjoy this Monday, spread our wings and join in celebrating life with that special someone, or special people, that sparkle our lives. As the day progresses, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost eighteen hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before entering Capricorn tomorrow.

Tuesday, October 28th – Whistle While We Work – Mars, Neptune, Sun, Venus. Keeping our ‘feel good’ attitude from yesterday going today, this Tuesday is a day when we can put spirit into action. The Moon moves into Capricorn and today the Moon conjuncts Mars, the Moon sextiles Neptune, the Moon sextiles the Sun and the Moon sextiles Venus. The Sun trines Neptune. There can be something of an attractive and magnetic quality about ourselves today. We may feel as if we are in a world of our own and loving every moment of it. This is a day when we can have our feet firmly planted on the ground and our head in the clouds. We may seem to have something of a mystical quality today, an ability to put things together neatly, expeditiously and present ourselves in a most appealing manner. Monday and Tuesday may seem like gifts from the gods and goddesses. Everything can go right as long as we listen to our own inner voice, not get distracted by the craziness out in the world, and follow our instincts as to what to do and how to do it. We can accomplish a great deal today. We can tie up loose ends, be incredibly resourceful and virtually move mountains, if we choose to do so. There is a mystique about us today. Some people might feel that we are off in our own little worlds, and we might well be, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t achieving and getting a great deal done. This Tuesday can be a highly productive day, a day when we may be enjoying what we’re doing even to the point of whistling while we work.

Wednesday, October 29th – Bumping Up Against It – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, Saturn. What a difference a day makes! Monday and Tuesday could have had us operating on greased wheels, levitating above the commonplace and feeling like everything was going smoothly and quickly. Wednesday, being ‘hump’ day, it should not surprise us that we hit the speed bumps today along our way. Wednesday has the Capricorn Moon triggering the Uranus Pluto square and creating a Lunar T-Square as the Capricorn Moon conjuncts Pluto, the Moon squares Uranus in Aries and the Moon squares Mercury in Libra. The Moon sextiles Saturn. We may have gotten a lot done over the past two days, expedited our process seamlessly and accomplished more than we might have imagined possible. We have the motivation today to keep on keeping on, getting things done, but today our efforts might not seem so seamless. On the contrary, we might find that our attention to responsibilities is being distracted by certain unexpected situations that grab our attention and divert our interest. We might also encounter a naysayer or two, someone who wants to put monkey wrenches in the spokes of our wheels for whatever reason, perhaps even their tinge of jealousy or wanting to dampen our spirits. While we might hit some speed bumps today that could slow us down or divert our attention, we do not have to be thrown off track. Despite unexpected incidents arising today, we can stay on course and attend to what needs to be done, and especially tying up loose ends and bring outstanding matters to conclusion. We may be slowed, but we are unlikely to be tripped up.

Thursday, October 30th – Living for the Weekend – Moon Void-of-Course, Sun. Thursday begins with the Moon Void-of-Course, which started late last evening and continues for close to ten hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Aquarius this morning. Late in the day, early Friday the Moon squares the Sun. While the early part of the week could have had us in seventh heaven, conjuring up all sorts of possibilities to become probabilities, yesterday could have given us one of those wake-up calls, a lateral lobotomy or a whack upside the side of our head. We may feel as though we had taken two great leaps forward, only to have been pulled back yesterday, but this Thursday can have us back considering our options and our alternatives. Yesterday might have momentarily tainted our exuberance and enthusiasm, for today we could consider all the limitations of our resources to making our dreams come true. Let’s not generate impediments in our mind, for that is the surest way to snatch defeat from potential victory. While we may be recognizing that we are no longer solely in control of our circumstances [as if we ever were], we should also realize that attitude goes a long way towards either making our greatest hopes a reality or short circuiting our ambitions. Our choice, always our choice. Let’s keep in mind the old and wise saying that ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way.’ Today is a day to give thought to our greatest ambitions without getting caught up in how we can make our dreams come true.

Friday, October 31st –Too Many Treats, Too Much Tricks – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury. Today is Halloween, although many of us may consider each day to be Halloween with the volatility of these times providing a variety of tricks and treats. The Aquarius Moon sextiles Uranus, the Moon trines Mercury and the Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square as the Aquarius Moon squares Venus and the Moon opposes Jupiter. We may use this day to dress up in our costume and engage a persona of our own avatar. We might feel good about stepping out of our own skin and putting on a wardrobe of make believe. Some of us, however, could have the sense that even everyday reality is a form of make believe, what the Hindus would refer to the earth plane as the veil of Maya, often associated with a world of delusion. We may want to do something quite different today, and this day of Halloween gives us license to do so. Coming on a Friday, this license could also provide us justification for engaging the ‘too muches’, whereby we enjoy ourselves too much, spend too much and party too much. We may be looking for treats on this Friday, but we have to be careful that tricks aren’t being disguised as treats. This is a day when it would be wise for us to use some braking action to our involvements and engagements. Otherwise, we could be careening towards a nasty hangover after the party is over.

Saturday, November 1st – After the Party Has Ended – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Pluto. Late Friday, early Saturday, we may feel as though we have tied one on. Our head could be slamming against the reality of what we might have spent on some frivolous purchases, all in the name of good fun and the license provided by Halloween. The Aquarius Moon squares Saturn before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over ten hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before entering Pisces today. The Pisces Moon conjuncts Neptune and the Moon sextiles Mars. Mercury sextiles Jupiter today, and Venus sextiles Pluto, and Mars sextiles Neptune. This Saturday may be slow starting. It might take us some time to get going on this Saturday morning, but once in gear we may want to nurse our sensibilities since our moods and emotions can sway between confusion and dogged determination. Continuing with the festive events of yesterday, we might get together with friends and loved ones for some fun activities. Although we might question whether to continue our good times or whether we should deal with a multitude of projects on our ‘to do’ list, once we get focused on what we want to do we can switch gear into full speed ahead. The day may be slow starting, but we can catch up and move quickly ahead as the day progresses. As if we have gained a second wind, we can get a lot done today. We can possibly have our proverbial cake and eat it too. Not only can we enjoy the company of a good friend or friends, but we can also be expeditious in dealing with whatever pressing demands need to get done. We are back on track, feeling ourselves inspired and intuitively guided, and can engage recreational activities and also deal with errands and autumnal clean-ups. Who said that you can’t have it all? Today could give lie to such a presumption.

Sunday, November 2nd – Gliding Along – Sun, Pluto, Venus. Sunday continues with the Pisces Moon and today the Moon trines both the Sun and Venus and the Moon sextiles Pluto. This Sunday allows us to fit things neatly into place. With a strong spiritual sense to the day, we could find ourselves focusing on those things that are truly meaningful to us. We are not interested in the superficial or shallow. We’ve been there, done that. Today may be a reflective day, a day when we peel the layers to the onion of our lives, stripping away what we have deemed to be no longer of use to us. Our emotions are heightened, but we are also far more connected to our inner selves, our soul, spirit and essence. We might chose to take a walk out in nature, a day in the park, or a drive out of Dodge. However we choose to express ourselves today, we are coming from our inner core. This is a day that can be effortless. We are not looking at pushing the envelope but rather being gently guided towards an inventory taking of our lives and a reconnection with the more spiritual aspects of ourselves. We might decide to do a clean out of stuff with the recognition that many of our acquisitions have made our lives high maintenance. We could choose to engage the concept that ‘less is more’ and focus on the most important aspects of our lives and release those things that are too weighty or create dissonance in our lives. As the English author G.K. Chesterton wrote: “Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly.” So too for us on this lovely, pleasant and spiritual Sunday.
