The energy is ratcheted up severalfold this week. We may be back on track, looking to go full steam ahead, but we could meet up with some unexpected vexing situations during our weeklong journey.
The week begins with the Pisces Full Moon, the Harvest Moon. Our emotions can be at full tilt. We might be fantasizing about what we would prefer to do, but we could feel the yoke of our responsibilities weighing down upon us.
During the early part of the week, we need to keep a handle on our emotions and our communications. We could easily feel a little overwhelmed, resentful of our circumstances, and we might lash out at anyone or everyone. We have to watch that we aren’t shooting ourselves in the foot, or peppering both feet with buckshot.
Someone could easily irritate or aggravate us, and we may have a sense that someone is operating against our best interests, covertly throwing monkey wrenches into the spokes of our wheels and looking to backstab us if they get the chance.
As Buffalo Springfield sang in their mid-1960’s classic For What It’s Worth:
“Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you’re always afraid”
While fear is not a great response to situations occurring since it can trigger a fight or flight syndrome, certainly various conditions in the world can be fear generating and downright frightening.
During this week, we may be feeling good about some of our own personal situations but also feeling like someone is proving to be a dead weight. Let’s be careful that we don’t create greater problems for ourselves than we need. Although our societal conditioning stokes emotional drama, and this week could have some real emotional dramas acting out, there is no time for such diversions and distractions, which serve nothing more than getting us excitable and liable to reacting impetuously.
Let’s consider everything we see and hear this week without responding immediately. We might choose time to regroup and re-structure our own formats and our ways of doing things. The more we cut away the dross of our involvements, the better we can focus on the truly meaningful, those activities that serve the purpose of making our personal worlds better than they have been and a sanctuary in which we can be creative.
Even if we do secure an idyllic space for ourselves, let’s be aware that the banging and crashing on the peripheries of our nirvana could prove intrusive and exhausting.
The most productive day of the week could prove to be Friday. That doesn’t mean we should backload everything on to Friday, but if we have run into glitches during the week, we can iron things out and achieve a great deal right before the weekend.
The weekend itself could be a mix of unexpected situations and a desire to stretch beyond our normal parameters. We might be in an expansive mood, shopping for the cooler weather, giving ourselves a treat or taking a leap out of Dodge. We just have to be aware that in true reality life proceeds not in a straight-line trajectory but rather a zigzag movement. Our plans could be disrupted and our intentions diverted. If we can accept the curveballs to our itinerary and not get beaned by them, then we can move ahead even if we are making various twists and turns along the way. But that’s life.
Monday, September 8th – Shine On, Harvest Moon – Venus, Neptune, Pluto, Pisces Full Moon, Sun. Shine On, Harvest Moon is one of the classic songs of the early 1900’s that came out of the Tin Pan Alley era. And this Monday is the day of the Harvest Moon with the Pisces Full Moon. Monday starts the week with a great deal of emotion. The Full Moon in Pisces accentuates our moods and feelings reinforced by the Moon conjunct Neptune and the Moon opposed Venus as well as the Moon opposed the Sun. The Moon also sextiles Pluto today. Last Monday in the US was Labor Day, and so this Monday is truly the first full week of feeling back in the swing of things, back to our regular routine. We can go through some wild swings today, feeling up, feeling down and changing our moods in a split second or less. If we reflect on where we are, we might find ourselves mooning about where we would prefer to be rather than where we are. Let’s keep in mind that every journey starts with a first step. If we utilize the Virgo Pisces opposition energy configuration today wisely, we can visualize where we would like to be and then consider all the different ways of getting there. We do not have to be locked into the specifics of how we get there but rather appreciate that any new journey takes on a life of its own. As we focus on what we truly want to do, the universe may step forward and join us in achieving our aims by providing the means necessary for us to realize our dreams. We just have to believe in the magic and miracles that are the key components of the paradigm shift.
Tuesday, September 9th – Ripping a New One – Saturn, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Pluto. Tuesday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon today trine Saturn and the Moon trine Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for close to four and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before entering Aries. Mercury squares Pluto. If we didn’t fall down the rabbit hole of an emotional morass yesterday but instead visualized and affirmed our greatest hopes, then this Tuesday allows us to clear the decks and ready for our new grand adventures. We may be cleaning out the stables today and, no matter the Herculean task it might seem, we can not only get rid of the dross in our lives. We can also be incredibly focused and resourceful. This is one of those days when we can get more for less, whether we are shopping or figuring out a best practices approach to accomplish our goals. We do not, however, want any naysayers to our plans or people getting in our way. Our determination and persistence may know no bounds today. If someone chooses to stand in our way or question our intentions, we are more than ready to read them the riot act or else rip them a new one. With Mercury square Pluto, we also have the triggering of the Uranus Pluto square with which we have been dealing for quite a while. Mercury squares Pluto today and on Saturday Mercury opposes Uranus. We can be highly perceptive today, cut to the core and more than willing to cut any adversaries off at the knees.
Wednesday, September 10th – La-De-Da – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter, Venus, Neptune. Wednesday can be a day when we can be optimistic, exuberant, yet also blithely oblivious to what is truly going on. The Aries Moon today triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct Uranus, the Moon square Pluto and the Moon opposed Mercury. The Moon trines Jupiter, and Mercury trines Jupiter. Venus opposes Neptune. This is a day when we may choose to initiate new projects and do so with a song in our heart and supreme confidence in our abilities. We might choose the path less traveled, even willing to embark on a quixotic journey, all under the encouragement and prodding of someone else. Although we could easily be infatuated with someone or some involvement, our clarity may be lost to our willful desires. This is a day when we might not check the itinerary or directions before we head out. We want to be in movement and open to wherever the winds take us. Our attitude can be very much a ‘la-de-da’ type of attitude, accepting of whatever comes our way. Where a problem arises is that we could be easily influenced by those ‘yes’ people that encourage us to move forward without making us aware of the implications or the consequences of our actions. While we could be feeling upbeat and like a rebel with the cause of doing our own thing, we need to avoid any brambles along our pathway and any long-term dire effects of our decisions made today. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for just over twenty-four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before entering Taurus late on Thursday.
Thursday, September 11th – Memories – Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Saturn. The Void-of-Course Moon that began late yesterday continues through most of this day as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries without making any further connections to the planets and before entering Taurus late on this Thursday. The Sun sextiles Saturn. In the US, this day can be a somber day of recall and remembrance with the commemoration of the attacks on 9-11-2001 that brought down New York’s Twin Towers and struck the Pentagon. There is not a great deal of energy on this Thursday, but we could find ourselves re-grouping, taking time to tie up loose ends, and even doing a walk down Memory Lane. Often, before we move into new directions, we have to go back, go back over old thoughts, ideas, memories, connections, situations. This Thursday could prove to be a day of reflection and a time when we finish outstanding matters in order to be disentangled from old and past affairs. We may look back at where we have been and appreciate how much we have grown through the many varied experiences, good – bad, happy – sad, that we have gone through in our life’s journey. We do not have to re-create our past but we can honor where we have been and what we have gone through to make us who we are today.
Friday, September 12th – Getting Things in Order – Neptune, Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Pluto, Jupiter. Friday can be a highly productive day. There are no real conflicting energies, except possibly trying to do too much. We may have a Superperson complex today, since things can happen expeditiously with little effort on our part. It might seem as if by some magical force we are able to fit all the pieces to the puzzle neatly together for a perfect fit. The Taurus Moon today sextiles Neptune. The Moon creates an Earth Grand Trine with the Taurus Moon trine Venus in Virgo and the Moon trine Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon squares Jupiter. Not only can we be expeditious in our approach. Our intuitive sense is highly attuned and our presentation is persuasive, gracious and insightful. This Friday is truly a winning day. We do need to avoid becoming ‘legends in our own mind’, however, for we could decide to take on ever more, and even more than we can handle. Let’s blueprint this day, focus on the truly important and recognize that we can make great strides forward to doing what we want to get done. This is truly a primo day, likely to be the best of the week, and one when we can be the manifester, making things happen easily, effortlessly and in a shorter period of time than we might have calculated when we started out.
Saturday, September 13th – Curveballs – Saturn, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Uranus, Mars Sagittarius. What a difference a day makes. And this reality is not solely because we have ended our ‘work week’ and entered the weekend. Yesterday could have had us firing on eight cylinders, getting more done than we could have imagined and being highly effective. Saturday is quite different. The Taurus Moon today opposes Saturn and the Moon trines the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost seventeen hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before entering Gemini tomorrow. We may feel as though the wind has been knocked out of our sails as we begin this day. We could have a sense that we do not have the resources to do what we would like to get done. We might see bills piling up and sense a financial overload of expenses needing to be addressed. We do not have to give into a deflation of our self-esteem. We can take the bull by the horns and consider how best to dig ourselves out of whatever hole we may have gotten into or fallen into. At the same time, today has various unexpected situations likely to arise. On Tuesday, we had Mercury square Pluto and the other part of the Uranus Pluto square is triggered today with Mercury opposed Uranus, my least favorite energy configuration for air travel. We may hear about something that throws us for a loop. Not only could we learn some disturbing news. We might find that we are experiencing difficulties in regard to our communications, travel plans, computer glitches and Internet breakdowns. This day also has Mars exiting its own Sign of Scorpio and entering Sagittarius. Certain affairs that have been operating below the surface, behind the scenes, can now come to the fore. One area where the intensity could be turned up would seem to be legal issues and foreign relations. We are likely to have a lot of energy on this Saturday, but we might have to expend much of it on dodging curveballs.
Sunday, September 14th – Rock of Gibraltar Amidst – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Neptune, Venus, Pluto. Mixed messages and mixed signals can abound today. Sunday has the Gemini Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Mars and the Moon square Neptune. This is a day when we could spring into action even without a clear understanding of what is truly going on. We may be impetuous, given to knee-jerk reaction and willing to leap before we look. But even if we look, our perspective might be skewed, and we could buy into any presentation that appeals to us or triggers a strong response within us. While due diligence is called for, we just may not have clarity of thought or a perceptive understanding to get a true read on what is occurring. Fortunately, any blind assumptions can be rectified or at least mitigated by our getting a second opinion and drawing upon someone else’s take on what is happening. Venus trines Pluto and we could encounter the input from someone less swayed by the kaleidoscope of sounds and sensations, someone objective to our situation, more detached and grounded. This is a day for us to draw upon the sage advice of a trusted friend or colleague. We may be in a dither over a particular situation, but someone else can cut through the fog, dissect the scenario and help us to see the fundamentals and not become ensnared merely by the appearances.
