This week brings the unofficial end to summer and has us back on track with our regular affairs.
The week begins with the Labor Day holiday in the US, the last long weekend of the Summer. Whether we are looking for fun adventures or new projects, we are interested in broadening our interests and taking into account situations that are foreign to our experience. We may be looking at expressing our creative side, engaging different activities and becoming more aware of an exciting new aspect of ourselves. We would prefer to be autonomous, do things in our own time and on our own terms. We do not want to be limited by other people’s expectations or restricted by past circumstance.
We may feel as though we have gained a greater sense of confidence, more willing to take a risk and put our best foot forward. We may be less involved with competitiveness and looking instead at doing our personal best. As the week progresses, we may find the balance between our own self-interests and our interest in what is going on with other people.
We might reach out to other people both to find out what is going on with them and also to bounce off them some of our ideas for our future.
Our ambitions can be strong as we move into the latter part of the week. We may have discovered a fascinating interest that we could choose to engage and develop.
The weekend is a good time to get together with friends and discuss our options and alternatives for our future. The weekend comes to closure with us wondering how we can get from where we are to where we intend to go. We might question whether we have the capabilities, talents and resources to make our dreams come true. If nagging negativism arises in our thoughts, it would be wise for us to remind ourselves of the Napoleon Hill affirmation: “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
Monday, September 1st – Laboring Under False Assumptions – Venus, Mercury. The week begins in the US with the Labor Day holiday. This is the last day of the long holiday weekend in the US that often is associated with the unofficial end to Summer. Monday has the Scorpio Moon square Venus and the Moon sextile Mercury. The Moon then goes into Sagittarius later in the day. Our relationships can be a little dicey today. We might feel as though people are parading around, focused solely on their own self-interests and as a consequence making other people around them feel small and less capable. We could have a sense that we need to take a serious look at our financial situation and take into account how we can pare down our expenses in order to enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle. If we would spend some time considering how we do life and what our priorities are, we could also come up with a best practices approach whereby we can be more productive with less expenditure of energy. Our thoughts today are incisive, but we do need to watch our discussions with someone else. With a sharp and agile mind today, we could cut to the core, tell it like we see it and read someone the riot act with little grace or diplomacy. Let’s try to avoid any toe-stomping.
Tuesday, September 2nd – Twist and Shout – Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Sun, Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury Libra. Tuesday could have us all over the place, asserting our individuality and expressing our creativity, but caught up in a whirlwind where at times we might not realize whether we are coming or going. There are two strong but divergent energy configurations today. The Moon is in Sagittarius and triggers both a Mutable Sign T-Square and a Fire Sign Grand Trine. The early part of the day has the Moon square Neptune and the Moon square the Sun. We might feel as though we have so much on our plate that we hardly nowhere to start. We could be spinning in various directions, going here and there and possibly without well-considered approaches to anything. Not that clarity matters all that much today. For the Moon also trines Jupiter and the Moon trines Uranus. We could be feeling highly confident, optimistic and divinely guided into whatever directions will work best for us. The key to the day is to get out of our own way, not over think things but also not get caught up in situations that seem enticing but prove to be a way for us to spin our wheels. Mercury exits its own Sign of Virgo and enters Venus-ruled Libra. We may be less critical and more accommodating in dealing with other people. We might want to know what is going on with them and see if the changes we sense ourselves going through are parallel to changes in their lifestyle too.
Wednesday, September 3rd – Blind Ambition – Venus, Mercury, Sun, Pluto. The Sagittarius Moon trines Venus before the Moon moves into Capricorn where today the Moon squares Mercury. The Sun trines Pluto. We might put on a grand show for someone today, putting our best foot forward both in appearance and persistence. We could virtually move mountains today and we are unlikely to brook any interference. Our creative juices are flowing and channeled towards realizing our greatest desires. Although we can be gracious and charming to a fault, we do have to avoid seeming too intent on getting what we want the way that we want it. This is not a day for trivialities. Our focus is on the goal line, and we can be determined and passionate about realizing our aims. It might be wise for us to draw upon our own counsel, for there might be someone less courageous than ourselves that could put a damper on our enthusiasm and be a naysayer to our plans. Let’s keep in mind that we may have both the energy and the concentrated attention to virtually move mountains today. Today and tomorrow can be highly productive, but we might have to take machete in hand and carve our own path with no reliance on the input from other people.
Thursday, September 4th – Keep It Going – Neptune, Pluto, Sun, Uranus. Wednesday and Thursday can be incredibly productive days. We can accomplish more than at most times. Part of our success now is due to our indefatigable energy, our passion and our determined persistence. Once we get on track, there may be no stopping us. Yesterday’s energies are re-created on this Thursday as the Moon in Capricorn today sextiles Neptune, the Moon conjuncts Pluto, the Moon trines the Sun and the Moon squares Uranus. Yesterday and today can have us with our nose to the grindstone getting more done in less time than any other time. These two days allow us to concentrate on the truly meaningful matters in our lives and expedite the accomplishment of various projects. Our intuitive sense is heightened, and we might feel as though everything is neatly falling into place. Not that we are relying on good luck and serendipity these two days. On the contrary, we are likely to be in harness with a dominant will to get done that which we choose to get done. Towards the end of this Thursday, we might decide that enough is enough. We might have gone into burn out with all that we may have achieved over these past two days. We might want to slow things down, decide to tie up loose ends tomorrow and before the weekend. We may also feel that our style is being crimped by our responsibilities and our determination to expedite matters. We can leave the last remaining matters to finish up tomorrow before we step off the track over the weekend.
Friday, September 5th – Finishing Up on Friday – Saturn, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus Virgo. Friday continues briefly with the Capricorn Moon and the Moon today sextiles Saturn and the Moon sextiles Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for close to nine hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before entering Aquarius later today, early tomorrow. Venus exits Leo to enter Mercury-ruled Virgo. There is now a Mutual Reception between Mercury and Venus with Mercury transiting a Venus-ruled Sign and Venus transiting a Mercury-ruled Sign. We might use the morning hours to fine tune any of the projects with which we have been involved over the past two days. We might want to finish up outstanding matters, get them out of the way prior to the weekend. We can also use this day to tidy, straighten up and clear the decks for the weekend ahead. We might want to have some pleasurable activities over the weekend, especially in light of the fact that we could have found ourselves working long and hard but also expeditiously and productively over the past two days. As the weekend approaches, we are looking to get together with friends and possibly do something other than our usual. We know we deserve a break, and a treat, for work well done.
Saturday, September 6th – No Matter the Costs – Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus. Saturday has the Moon in Aquarius and today the Moon trines Mercury, the Moon opposes Jupiter and the Moon sextiles Uranus. We may decide to do something special with that special someone in our lives. This is a day for us to get together with good friends, engage conversations about the possibilities for our future and enjoy some fun activities. We could choose to do things spontaneously today, but it would be wise for us to keep our costs down. We might find that our day’s pursuits are costing more than we had anticipated. Our concerns are not with the costs as much as finding what gives us pleasure and that could prove a Goldilocks syndrome with us trying this, trying that before we settle on what truly delight us. The expense of our activities might not mean much to us today, but we could find later that we have scattered our monies to the winds in search of the perfect activity.
Sunday, September 7th – Wringing our Hands – Saturn, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday has the Aquarius Moon square both Saturn and Mars in Scorpio. We may feel the day of reckoning upon us as far as the costs of our engagements. We might realize that we have racked up serious expenses over the summer months. We could have a sense that suddenly we need to pare down on our costs of living, cutting back on some of our frivolous involvements and seeing where we can be resourceful. We are told by the economic hypesters that there is no inflation, but a savvy shopper knows that food prices have gone up or that the food price of a certain item has stayed the same while the size of that same item’s container has been reduced with the consequent price increase masked by the sleight of hand packaging deception. Sunday may be a day when we need to take a cold hard look at our finances, budgeting both for our necessary lifestyle costs and for our projected expenses of goals we wish to realize. Later in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost six and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before entering Pisces. Despite any concern about our finances, we might end the day with a shrug, a sigh and a quiet remark of ‘oh well’.
