Much can be operating below the surface this week, percolating, ready to break loose. This is the first full week of this month’s three-week Mercury retrograde cycle and Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’ is in effect.
[Welcome to the Mercury retrograde. Already, I have experienced the Mercury retrograde with an intense storm coming through in the very early hours of Sunday morning, the 8th, knocking out our phone service and Internet — all realms of communication associated with Mercury. I am told we can expect the services to be repaired by this Tuesday, the 10th. Aaargh!]
We may start the week in a la-de-da kind of way. Clarity might be missing, and we might feel slightly confused. This is a time when we might be looking to lighten our load and rid ourselves of certain projects or activities that just are not working for us. We may be keeping our cards close to our chest as we start the week, clearing our path and making room for new adventures.
While more can go on than meets the eye in the early part of the week, the latter part of the week can have us spreading our wings, stretching beyond our boundaries and trumpeting our personal interests and achievements.
The end of the week and the weekend could raise the temperature level to a boiling point. Those things that have been percolating below the surface could rise to the fore in some explosive ways. We could feel the earth move under our feet. The weekend has one intense energy that could have us tearing down the walls and people acting out to the max and beyond. Anger and belligerence could be rampant, so it would be wise for us to avoid knee-jerk reactions and immediate responses to aggravating situations. Cooling our jets over the weekend would be advised. Otherwise, we might get caught up in some nasty confrontations or be witness to outlandish behavior with a liability of our becoming collateral damage.
The week and the weekend end with a desire to step off the track and engage those people with whom we can find support, comfort and enjoyment.
This week is like a train leaving the station, slow starting then gathering speed as the week proceeds. We just have to prevent the week from becoming a runaway train hurtling down the track on a race to nowhere.
Monday, June 9th – Strategizing – Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Neptune, Neptune retrograde. Monday starts the week with the Moon entering Scorpio and creating a Water Grand Trine as the Scorpio Moon trines Mercury in Cancer and the Moon trines Neptune in Pisces. Neptune turns retrograde today. Monday may be a day when we do an element of inventory-taking, considering what activities to focus on and what aspects of our lives we might want to shed. Unfortunately, our clarity might be lacking today, so it would be wise that whatever decisions we make today we make tentatively, subject to change. We might feel that we know what is going on, but we may not have all the information to make a well-considered opinion. This is a day for us to reflect, contemplate and to use our intuitive sense but backing it up with empirical evidence. Our moods can come and go and we might feel strongly impacted by our environment and surroundings. Let’s look for sanctuaries in which to take time to strategize and devise. This day is far better served clearing away clutter and giving thought to how we feel that things are going. We might want to keep our thoughts to ourselves today, for our communication of ideas and someone else’s perception of what we have said may be totally off the rails and lead to misunderstandings or misinterpretations. Monday could be a day when ‘silence is golden’.
Tuesday, June 10th – Letting Go – Pluto, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today sextile Pluto, the Moon opposed Venus, the Moon conjunct Saturn and the Moon trine Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for thirteen hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius. This past week in order to stimulate the eurozone economy the European Central Bank imposed negative interest rates on banks in order to encourage banks to lend money rather than hold on to money. With the likely trickle down effect, the question arises as to what that might mean for the individual depositor who is presently receiving an interest rate in the range of 0.1% on their deposited funds. Will depositors in banks have to pay in order to keep their money in the banking system? Is it any wonder that the equity markets are ratcheting up to new highs and the housing market has come back strong? With few other places to protect one’s resources, it is not surprising that the economy, as seen in the equity and housing markets, seems to be coming back. The middle class is being squeezed, and for many this Tuesday provides the opportunity to consider their assets, their liabilities and optimum financial strategies. We may question our resources and our resourcefulness, but this is a day when we can take a cold, hard look at our situation. We may not like what we see, the options available to us, but it would be wise for us to take a long-term view as to where the world is going and how we are intending to proceed with the unfolding evident. We may have to let go of some of our cherished diversions and focus on our necessities. We might come to recognize that some of our activities, some of our expenditures, are high maintenance and tie us up in time and expense that might be better utilized elsewhere. Today could be a day to let go of some of our involvements, focus on the truly meaningful and engage in a long-term perspective. The funny thing is, as we let go of certain engagements, we might feel a weight lifted from us, a lighter quality to our being and a sense of renewed exuberance in moving ahead without carrying such a heavy load.
Wednesday, June 11th – Running in Place – Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday continues with the Moon Void-of-Course that began yesterday as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio without making any further connections to the planets and before entering Sagittarius today. The Moon in Sagittarius makes no connections to the planets today. We might feel as though we can use this day as a ‘mental health’ day. We might have unburdened ourselves over the past two days, rid ourselves of extraneous matters and we could feel a great deal lighter with less of an activity list. Wednesday can have us running in place, perhaps not getting a great deal done, but feeling more optimistic and enthusiastic about the blank canvass we might have created for ourselves. This is a day for us to enjoy the wide open spaces, get out of Dodge whether literally or figuratively, and consider things foreign to us that we might want to pursue. We do not have to make commitments today but can take into account a wide variety of possibilities that we might choose to explore. After a couple of intense days when we might have been paring down, focusing and eliminating things from our lives, this Wednesday is like a breath of fresh air, blowing in new prospects and opportunities. Let’s see the myriad of situations that we could engage without jumping fully into any one thing today.
Thursday, June 12th – Trying This, Trying That – Neptune, Mars, Uranus. The Sagittarius Moon today squares Neptune, the Moon sextiles Mars and the Moon trines Uranus. With a broad palette from which to draw, we might start this day trying this, trying that. The beauty of the day is that we can always change course, backtrack or take a sideways trajectory if our initial thrusts out into the world are less than fulfilling. Someone might be significant in making us aware of options and alternatives that we have not taken into account. This Thursday is an exciting day, a day when the wind is to our back and we can virtually soar with the eagles. We might start off on the wrong foot, but we can find our right footing and pick up the pace as the day proceeds. We might connect with a good friend far from our home environment, and they could have some surprising news. This is a day for us to have our antennae up, work with peripheral vision, for certain things can arise in a most unexpected manner. It would be wise for us not to overly schedule this day in order for us to take advantage of any exciting opportunities that come our way. We are far more willing to draw upon any number of things today, and we could find that each of them gives us an additional burst of energy.
Friday, June 13th – Beyond the Realms – Sagittarius Full Moon, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Venus, Saturn. Late Thursday, early Friday has the Sagittarius Full Moon with the Moon opposed the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over fifteen and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before entering Capricorn where today the Capricorn Moon opposes Mercury. Venus opposes Saturn. This Friday can have us feeling optimistic but an optimism that might be based more on exuberance than evidence. Our due diligence could go out the window today as we base our decisions more on our confidence and faith in the magic of these times. Past matters could come to the fore and demand to be dealt with. Such matters could be outstanding bills, unresolved issues and people from our past. Yes, today could allow for a parade of our past, but we could use such reflections to remind us of where we are today as opposed to where we were when the past matters were present involvements. There is a buildup of energy about to be triggered tomorrow, so let’s be careful in what we do today and how we do it.
Saturday, June 14th – Ka-Boom, Ka-Boom – Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Mars, Uranus. Saturday could be one explosive day if we fall out of line with the energies. The day has the Moon in Capricorn sextile Neptune, the Moon sextile Saturn and the Moon trine Venus. Like threading a needle, we need to be adept at subtle twists and turns to escape major eruptions. Everything today needs to be done with finesse, recognizing that a little may go a long way. For this Saturday also triggers the Cardinal Grand Cross with the Capricorn Moon today creating a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon conjuncts Pluto and the Moon squares Mars in Libra and the Moon squares Uranus in Aries. The kicker to the day is the Mars square Pluto. Things can go ka-boom, ka-boom, and the blasts may be people acting out aggressively and violently. Nothing is likely to be done in half measure, but the more we can tone things down today, the better. Under the influence of today’s energies, we might witness bomb blasts, various explosions, earthquake and volcanic activity, severe storms systems such as tornadoes and cyclones and mine disasters. This is a day when pent-up energies could be released with tremendous force. We need to keep our cool on this Saturday and that could prove a major challenge. The tendency to react immediately with greater force than necessary would be strong today. If we can harness the energies, not allow them to run away with us, then we might find that we may even be able to move mountains today. The key to the day is our use of the energies operating, to do so in moderation despite the impulse to go full throttle.
Sunday, June 15th – Day to Rest – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Late Saturday, early Sunday, the Capricorn Moon triggers the fourth component of the Cardinal Grand Cross as the Moon today opposes Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eleven hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before entering Aquarius. Yesterday might have proven to be one highly explosive and extremely intense day. We might feel wiped by whatever we experienced or witnessed. Sunday is often considered a day to rest and perhaps no more appropriate than this Sunday. Not only does the energy drop away today but we also have Father’s Day, the obligatory day to pay homage to our father and to the men in our lives. Even if we have responsibilities to meet today, as the day progresses we might seek solace with good friends. Social interactions today, apart from the obligations involved, can be a fun day to relax, enjoy and contemplate the possibilities for our future. If we did not clear away some of the debris of our lives earlier in the week, the universe might have done so yesterday. A major clear out could have taken place during this week. Even if we were leery of letting go of certain facets of our lives, let’s keep in mind that space has been cleared in order for new and more exciting developments to arise in our lives. This Sunday is a day for us to do what needs to be done but largely to consider our options in the future. No need to rush the river today. It would be far better for us to rest, catch our breath and feel reinvigorated by good times with good friends.
