May 12th – 18th, 2014

Talk may be cheap, but talk seems plentiful during this week. Sharing ideas and revolutionary insights can be stimulating and may encourage us to move forward in new directions with new companions.

This is an exciting week, a week when we might move away from some of the old involvements and move towards new interactions and new activities. We just have to be careful in our expenditures of time and monies. We could easily go on a tear to expand, enlarge, broaden and widen without considering whether we have the resources to do so. This is a week when we can easily bite off more than we can chew.

While we might have a cascade of thoughts of possibilities, some of our own conjuring, others suggested to us; we have to be wary that we don’t engage interesting new activities of change merely for the sake of change.

An early week cleanup whereby we rid ourselves of outstanding matters, tie up loose ends and make space for new interests would provide us room for exploration and investigation as the week proceeds.

The mid-part of the week, Wednesday, ‘hump’ day, could have our emotions ratcheted up severalfold. We might feel put upon by other people or our daily responsibilities, and we might prefer to throw the baby out with the bath water just in order to have a clean basin in which to develop our new interests. The mid-week period could have people on edge with a tendency to overkill in their behavior, even to the point of pulling names from their contact list. While we might be champing at the bit to get on with new interests, it is essential that we not tromp on other people’s toes during this mid-week time.

Even if we do throw someone under the bus mid-week, we may try to make amends towards the latter part of the week. The latter part of the week can have us in high gear, going from one thing to another to yet another, sometimes following our road map, other times taking spontaneous leaps towards things that capture our fancy. It would be wise for us to keep our antennae up during this latter part of the week. Synchronicity and serendipity are likely in play with wonderful surprises and unexpected situations opening up to us.

The weekend could have us back in harness, dealing with responsibilities, attending to plans committed to weeks or months ago. Even if we feel as though the exciting winds of change have been knocked out of our sails, we might as well deal with scheduled activities over the weekend without much grousing or whining about it.

This is an exciting week, one when our mind is racing ahead and filled with all sorts of possibilities. Let’s just make sure that we recognize the pace of the week shifts repeatedly, from slow starting to begin the week, to highly expansive towards the end of the week, and back in gear with previous commitments over the weekend.

Monday, May 12th – Chatterbox – Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Mars. The Void-of-Course Moon that began late Sunday continues through this Monday with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before entering Scorpio late on this Monday. There is not a great deal of energy to get much done. Mercury trines Mars today, and we might find ourselves engaged in conversations with any number of people. Talk is cheap and we could be talking the talk without walking the talk. All sorts of ideas and discussions could be put forward today, but there may not be much carry through on the discussions. No matter, for this day might be best served in contact with various people, catching up with what people are doing, just making them aware that we are still on the planet and that we are thinking about them. Our mind may be racing today and we could easily go from one thought to another with various non sequiturs to keep us on our toes regarding the many varied topics being discussed.

Tuesday, May 13th – Honing – Neptune, Pluto. Tuesday has the Scorpio Moon trine Neptune and the Moon sextile Pluto. This would be a good day for us to consider paring down, getting rid of things that no longer work for us, and focusing on the truly important aspects of our lives. Cleanup and clear out is called for today, and we might just have a sense of what needs to go and what needs to stay. With the fast-paced lives that we are living during these times it is important that we focus our energies, concentrate on the truly meaningful and disengage from useless distractions. This can be a highly effective day. We might have the sense of what needs to be done and we can be highly expeditious in carrying out what we are called to do. If we listen to our inner voice, we can intuitively understand the foundation stones that we want to build upon. First, we may need to rid ourselves of certain clutter before we can fully engage new and different interests, some of which we might not be aware but have a sense that something good is coming our way.

Wednesday, May 14th – Get Off of My Cloud – Jupiter, Saturn, Scorpio Full Moon, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Pluto. Things could get a little dicey on this Wednesday. The Scorpio Moon trines Jupiter, the Moon conjuncts Saturn and the Moon opposes the Sun at the time of the Scorpio Full Moon. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for ten and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius tomorrow. Venus squares Pluto. We might start the day feeling good about things, but with a feeling of unease as if waiting for the other shoe to drop. We may have the sense that from yesterday’s honing and focusing we are on the right track and ready to expand into new activities. Unfortunately, past issues may not have been totally resolved, and we might find ourselves on this Wednesday dealing with all sorts of unresolved issues and outstanding matters. We could feel as though we are being put upon by our responsibilities or other people’s expectations of us. This is a day when we could struggle with our inner demons and choose some outlandish behavior just to free ourselves up from our obligations. It would be wise for us to take a deep breath before any impulsive reactions, tone down our response and recognize that our moods are diminished by a certain emotional weightiness, all the while that our passions are exponentially increased. Today is not a day to play the blame game, either our taking the blame for certain situations or placing the blame on someone else for their assumed transgressions. Let’s keep in mind that today is the Full Moon and like the tides at these times our moods, feelings and reactions are heightened exponentially and reason can be lost to emotional reactions.

Thursday, May 15th – Walking In Sunshine – Neptune, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Uranus. What a difference a day makes! While yesterday could have been a peak of emotional upset, this Thursday seems to feel the sunshine warming us all over. The Moon moves into Sagittarius, where today the Moon squares Neptune and the Moon sextiles Mars. But the primary energies of today revolve around Mercury, Venus and Uranus, for Mercury sextiles Venus, Mercury sextiles Uranus and Venus conjuncts Uranus. If we were burnt by the light of the silvery Full Moon yesterday, we might start this Thursday a little skittish, wondering what curveballs might be thrown towards our heads. Even though we might be slightly wary as we begin this day, someone can assure us that everything is all right. We could even find ourselves opening up interesting new doors that we could explore and investigate. And in some of the new adventures we might become aware of, we could also discover some interesting contacts and connections. We might not know how things are going to come about, but this is one of those days when we can step on board the magical mystery bus of unexpected and exciting incidents opening up to us. Conversations and connections can make us aware of fascinating opportunities that we might not have been cognizant of or able to engage. Serendipity and synchronicity are in play today. We just have to have our antennae up, work with peripheral vision and engage whomever comes into our path today, for we could discover some surprising and wonder-filled possibilities that may light the way for our future involvements. Even if we felt emotionally rained upon yesterday, today can have us walking in sunshine.

Friday, May 16th – Engaged But Waiting For the Word – Uranus, Venus, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Yesterday could have been an interesting door opener to exciting new opportunities and to things we heard about of which we were unaware. Our excitement can continue on this Friday, for the day begins with the Sagittarius Moon trine both Uranus and Venus. We may be thrilled by the prospects, but we could also be on overwhelm regarding the wide range of possibilities and how we get from concept, insight or possibility to the realization of our dreams. The Moon opposes Mercury before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for twenty four and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before entering Capricorn tomorrow. This Friday can be a day when we mull over all the ideas that have come to mind or been presented to us. We are looking to incorporate various changes into our lives, but the question remains how we can get from where we are to where we want to go. And the answer is by means of a suspension bridge, putting down the various slats that will help us cross the bridge, all the while attending to what needs to be done regarding our daily responsibilities. This Friday may be more a day for considering the whats, whys and wherefores and the hows rather than putting spirit into action. We have the spirit, but if we head off impetuously in new directions we could find ourselves going around in circles. This day is far better to consider our future rather than race into it. Patience is a quality many of us need to embrace. We might feel as though we are waiting for Godot, but it would be wise that we ruminate and fully consider the facets of new opportunities before racing ahead in developing them.

Saturday, May 17th – Trusting Our Instincts – Neptune, Mars. Saturday allows us to start to implement new interests and engage new activities. From the past two days when the light bulb might have gone off in our heads or was turned on by someone’s suggestions, this day allows us to move ahead with the exciting possibilities and new connections we might have made over the past two days. Saturday has the Moon entering Capricorn with the Moon today sextile Neptune and the Moon square Mars. It will be important for us to trust our instincts, listen to our inner voice today. We can devise a best practices approach to achieve our goals if we would trust our intuition. We do have to be wary of a naysayer or two today. Someone might suggest our interest in new ventures to be nothing more than a flight of fancy. Let’s check the source and check the agenda. Often when we are about to make significant changes, elements of the past step forward to challenge us to see if we are truly willing to step out of our comfort zone and move into new directions. People who have known us have known us based upon past experiences and have a definition of us based upon our past. For us to make changes in our attitude, our behavior and our involvements can force other people to look in the mirror and question whether they too have changes to make. Most people don’t like change and consequently don’t appreciate people making changes. Let’s not get stuck by someone else’s mindset today but rather trust our own sense about things.

Sunday, May 18th – Too Much, No Rest – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn. Sunday could prove one intense, highly active day. Although we often consider Sunday to be a day of rest, not this Sunday. No, there’s no rest for the weary today. The Cardinal Grand Cross operational during this time is triggered by a Lunar T-Square as the Capricorn Moon today conjuncts Pluto, the Moon squares both Uranus and Venus and the Moon opposes Jupiter. The Moon also sextiles Saturn. Venus squares Jupiter. This day can have us going from one thing to another, some of it scheduled, some of it coming up on the spur-of-the-moment. We may want to do it all today and might even try to do so. We do have to be wary of excess, taking on too much, trying to accomplish too much. Let’s prioritize our activities today and do so in a way where we emphasize what we definitely can do in one category and what we want to do if time allows in a second category. Just recognize that we could easily wear ourselves out today, so let’s focus on the most important first. Responsibilities and commitments may get in the way of our desires to do certain things, but oh well.
