We may be feeling a little full of ourselves this week, but if we go there we might also experience a major deflation like the popping of a balloon.
The week begins with us focused on new involvements, different activities, and engagements that mesh with our changing attitudes and shifting sense of self. Our confidence could know no bounds, and we might have the attitude that destiny and life currents are totally in our favor.
It’s springtime, and we are seeking the renaissance and rebirth promised with the season. In so doing, we could easily assume that not only have we the passion and determination to progress forward but that we also have the right strategy and plan of action to be both expeditious and effective in our pursuits.
What we have to be wary of, however, is the rug being pulled out from under us or us hitting the proverbial wall. It may not be as a result of our actions as much as our meeting insurmountable obstacles getting in our way. Miscalculations and overblown beliefs in our capabilities could be the linchpins of our undoing towards the latter part of the week. No worries though, for even if we do hit the wall, we can adapt our disposition to utilizing our tai chi moves of working with the energies rather than trying to manipulate the energies, and become flexible in getting beyond any impediments that get in our way.
The latter part of the week can be a smorgasbord of trying different things out. We are more interested in sampling than definitively committing for the long term. We want to know what is available to us and explore all possibilities, options and consider our alternatives.
The weekend may be a fun time to get together with family and friends. Grilling, barbecue or just spending time with those we love can increase our pleasure and appreciation for the important aspects of our lives.
Monday, March 31st – Some Lamb – Mars, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. This is the last day of March, and the idiom states that March ‘comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb’. Even if that is true for the weather this year [and possibly not for all areas of the world with the volatility and aberrations increasingly occurring], it may not be valid for our mundane realities. This Monday has the Moon in Aries opposed Mars and the Moon sextile Venus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over nine hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before entering Taurus. While we may be feeling good about our individual interests and enthusiastic about doing what we want to do, we could find ourselves running up against opposition from someone close to us. We might confront naysayers and parade rainers, people who are suggesting that we are running for the cliffs like lemmings. Whatever interpersonal frictions might arise early in the day, we can sort things out later in the day. Misunderstandings can be momentary rather than monumental. Earlier in the day, we may feel as if the wind has been knocked out of our sails by someone. It may be only later in the day that we come to realize that the winds might have been too gusty and our attitude too intrepid. Impetuousness can settle down later in the day, but we do not lose our self-confidence.
Tuesday, April 1st – Who Be the Fool – Neptune, Jupiter, Sun. The Moon in Taurus today sextiles Neptune in Pisces and the Moon sextiles Jupiter in Cancer. The Sun squares Jupiter. Although we might not be as rash as we have been over the past two days, this Tuesday has us buoyed with confidence, enthusiastic to put our plans in action with a belief in our invincibility. The liability towards excess today cannot be discounted. We can be extravagant to a fault, spending more than might be appropriate. If we would start the day with a well-conceived game plan, we could avoid needless expenses and tendencies to be swayed by the images and appearances shown to us. We may be feeling good about ourselves, but it would be wise for us to take some reflective moments and consider where we want to go and what we want to do. A certain stealth quality would be advised, for otherwise we could be like a bull in a china shop, a little too strident and so self-involved that we don’t realize the consequences of our actions much less recognize the law of unintended consequences. Being grandiose and self-absorbed, we could make major trouble for ourselves. We all may have a good dose of ‘spring fever’ today, but we had better keep a rein on our emotions, spirits and finances, for if we don’t we could go overboard and find ourselves engaging in activities that carry huge costs for little benefit. We may want to feather our nests today, but we have to avoid our taste being somewhat garish with a focus on shiny sparkly things rather than tasteful accoutrements to our home environment.
Wednesday, April 2nd – Tug of War – Pluto, Mercury, Saturn, Sun, Uranus. Wednesday could prove paradoxical. On the one hand, we can determine our priorities and focus on our responsibilities. On the other hand, we might be slightly rebellious, wanting to cast our fate to the winds and do whatever catches our fancy. Responsibilities vs Impetuousness. This Wednesday has the Taurus Moon trine Pluto, the Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon opposed Saturn. Mercury trines Saturn and the Sun in Aries triggers the Uranus Pluto square with the Sun conjunct Uranus today, and the Sun square Pluto tomorrow. We can be very adept at strategizing and making our plans for what we intend to do today. But the question is whether we are interested in following our well-devised schedule. Instead, we may want to assert our individuality, our freedom of movement and engage things on the spur-of-the-moment. All our plans could go out the window as we fall victim to the old saying that ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions’. Not that we have to create a hell for ourselves, but we could easily find ourselves doing whatever we want and foregoing a day when the energies would otherwise contribute to our being highly effective and able to successfully take care of many of our mundane matters. Although we might be pulled in different directions today, we could allow ourselves to deal with our tasks and obligations, yet still provide time for us to do those impulsive actions. If we merely focus on being willful and doing our thing with little regard to our responsibilities, we could find our routine matters back up to create a tsunami of ‘to do’ items tomorrow.
Thursday, April 3rd – Dance to the Music, Pay to the Piper – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Sun, Pluto. Thursday could prove to be catch-up day. Unless we heeded the suggestion of balancing our responsibilities and impetuousness yesterday, we might find today that we have far more on our plate than we can effectively handle. The day begins with the Taurus Moon square Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before entering Gemini where today the Moon squares Neptune. The Sun completes the trigger of the Uranus Pluto square, with the Sun conjunct Uranus yesterday, the Sun square Pluto today. Even if we were able to postpone pressing matters yesterday, we might find them demanding our attention today. Some of our lofty ideas from yesterday may have to be placed on the back burner in order for us to deal with what needs to be done today. Unfortunately, we could have a tendency to try and take care of a great many things, all the while glossing over issues and neglecting important details in the process. We could be irritable today, feeling overwhelmed by the many different aspects of our lives that seem to beckon our attention. Let’s try and avoid resentment, for such an attitude would only contribute to a feeling of overwhelm and a sense of juggling many different matters but without concentration. The liability to making matters worse for ourselves by slipshod methods is strong. While we might feel that we are behind the eight ball regarding what needs to get done, the more we can prioritize and focus, the less havoc we will create for ourselves. Even if we don’t accomplish everything that needs to get done today, tomorrow is another day.
Friday, April 4th – Welcome Relief – Uranus, Sun, Mars. One of the beauties of astrology is the awareness of different energy configurations and how they are likely to influence us. As the saying goes: ‘as above, so below’. Astrology speaks to cycles and different phases within the cycles. Yesterday could have us trying to play catch up with everything we needed to get done, and yet feeling that we were falling further behind with so much to do. Either we could have tried to do it all and wound up doing so ineffectively with the need of eventually reworking some of our efforts, or we could have prioritized, concentrated on the most important things and recognized that we could not do it all. If we had chosen the latter path, we might have more to do on this Friday in wrap up of the week and before the weekend. Friday’s energy allows us to pick up the pace and yet be both expeditious and highly effective in taking care of any number of things. The Gemini Moon today sextiles Uranus, the Moon sextiles the Sun, and the Moon trines Mars. We can easily streamline whatever needs to be done, allow for spontaneous involvements and enjoy the company of someone we truly care about. This is a day when we can have it all and can have it fairly easily and without much stress. Let’s enjoy this Friday, even if we are running at double speed, for days like these don’t always come our way.
Saturday, April 5th – Mixed Messages – Mercury, Venus, Venus Pisces. We could have been flying high on Friday, for everything could have been going our way. Saturday starts in a different mode with us possibly getting the day going on the wrong foot. The Gemini Moon squares Mercury before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost seven hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before entering Cancer where the Moon today trines Venus, which today has exited Aquarius and entered Pisces. It would be wise for us to make a plan and a schedule before we start this day. If we are choosing to do things impromptu, we could find ourselves going around in circles, getting mixed messages and misunderstanding what needs to be done and even what we want to do. Confusion might reign supreme without proper preparation. Even if we are like a dog chasing its tail to begin this day, the energy dies down and we might find ourselves on a scavenger hunt without the significant clues. The latter part of the day can be far less frenetic and hectic. With Venus in Pisces, we are far more compassionate and considerate of other people’s needs. And with the Moon trine Venus, the latter part of the day can have us engaged in a nurturing and supportive connection with someone. We may feel like the Cosmic Mother or Father, and we might cherish the intimacy with someone, but we do need to be wary of playing on something less than a level playing field where we are doing more than appropriate, being co-dependent and taking on someone else’s karma — a big no-no in the realm of universal law.
Sunday, April 6th – Pleasant Day, Intense Night – Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto. Sunday continues with the Cancer Moon, which today has the Moon trine Neptune, the Moon conjunct Jupiter and the Moon triggering the Uranus Pluto square with a T-Square with the Moon square Uranus and the Moon opposed Pluto. The morning hours can be slow starting, as we lounge around our home, do various springtime fix-up projects and enjoy a generally relaxing time. Later in the day, the energy ratchets up, and we might find that unexpected incidents arise and force us to take control of certain situations. We can use the morning hours to relax, loaf, and recharge our batteries. Later in the day, we could find ourselves on call to cope with extraordinary circumstances that demand our attention. The intensity of the latter part of Sunday can remind us of the volatility of these times with brief respites to catch our breath before having to be on guard for surprising events we need to be able to deal with. Mantram-like, we might have to keep in mind the keywords for successfully navigating these times: awareness, mindfulness, flexibility and adaptability.
