Spring comes in this week with all the excitement and anticipation of new beginnings that the start of the astrological year offers. Yes, this is a new year and new beginnings. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The week begins with us making nice to anyone and everyone we encounter. What a difference from some of the contentious situations we may have found ourselves in over the past few weeks. Has everyone taken the chip off their shoulder? Not too likely, but we all may be in celebration mode of winter’s grip lessening and the promise of Spring harkening.
The week begins with St. Patrick’s Day, the day when we all are Irish whether of Irish heritage or not. And St. Patrick’s Day allows us to celebrate with food and drink and an excuse to take some time off from our regular routine. What a way to end the old year — this past Sunday with Purim and this Monday with St. Patrick’s Day.
We may still find that life is in a manic mode, another manic Monday, and we might have to dodge some curveballs and keep on our toes to deal with unexpected situations. But the unexpected can also open some very interesting doors of strange but fascinating contacts. Serendipity is in the air, and we might feel as though the dark clouds have lifted and the sun is shining brightly.
Much of this week can be quite pleasant. We are looking at the half glass of water as half full rather than half empty and emptying. We are likely to look on the sunny side of the street.
We may continue with inventory-taking, clean up and clear out this week, but all in a belief that a new day is dawning, that changes are in process and that our lives are going to shift rather dramatically and in a far better manner than we might even anticipate.
We do have to be wary that we don’t go from extreme to extreme, whereby the heavy clouds having lifted we assume that everything from now on is going to be sunny and bright. Yes, intention and creative visualization go a long way towards developing our reality, but we do need to avoid buying into illusions and getting snared into delusions.
The weekend could have us looking to get out of Dodge, whether literally or figuratively. Our thoughts may be other than our local, daily, mundane reality. We may be taking a trip, tripping or planning a trip, but we are likely to be far more interested in spreading our wings over the weekend than being sequestered in our home or local environment. Even if the snows are still on the ground this week, we may all have had enough of cabin fever this winter and we are certainly geared up for Spring.
Monday, March 17th – Another Manic Monday – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto, Venus, Mercury Pisces. Monday is St. Patrick’s Day, and we all might find justification to spend a little extra time with that special someone or with our friends in celebration. We may be going from one fun engagement to another to another, and very little might get done in regard to our usual tasks and our obligations. Monday has the Libra Moon triggering the Cardinal Grand Cross with the Moon square Jupiter, the Moon opposed Uranus, and the Moon square Pluto. The Moon trines Venus, and Mercury exits Aquarius to enter Pisces, a Sign of Mercury’s Detriment where Mercury is not too comfortable but instead rather confused. In the tradition of St. Paddy’s Day, people may drink a little too much, may eat a little too much and may indulge a little too much. But then, we might ask ourselves, why not? We all have experienced some level of discontent this winter. We are aware of the coming of the Spring. And we could feel that we owe it to ourselves to shake off the winter blues with a little excess and a lot of conviviality with our mates. We all need a break from the stress of these times, and this Monday is known as a day to release our frustrations. No matter how distracted we might become, it would be wise to keep an eye on what is going on around us. We might step away from our responsibilities but our responsibilities will not be going away, even if only postponed.
Tuesday, March 18th – Being in the Right Place – Mars, Venus, Uranus. Tuesday is one of those days when we might find ourselves in the right place at the right time. The Libra Moon today conjuncts Mars and Venus sextiles Uranus. As though on a scavenger hunt, we could find ourselves receiving various interesting clues today. Can we say serendipity is in force today? Likely so, for this Tuesday could have us encountering someone who makes us aware of options and alternatives that we might never have considered for ourselves. We may be aware of a new trajectory for ourselves, for today has magic in the air. We do have to be open to receive, so let’s be willing to be spontaneous, even impulsive, for the universe could be moving us in an interesting manner in order for us to become aware of situations and conditions that we have no knowledge about. It would be wise for us to keep in mind that during these times of paradigm shift we do not have to do it all. The universe is unfolding in a most mysterious yet magical manner, and part of the unfolding are opportunities arising as if out of nowhere, from out of the blue. Contacts made today could open other doors that seem far more engaging. This is a day not to take things at face value but to assume that greater prospects lie within the appearance of any situation. Yes, Virginia, we are all stepping onto the magical, mystery tour bus. And today offers us indications of new directions, new interests, new connections.
Wednesday, March 19th – Knowing Without Knowing – Mercury, Neptune. Wednesday has the Moon in Scorpio and today the Moon trines Mercury and the Moon trines Neptune. This is a day when our intuitive sense can be highly attuned. There may be no putting one over on us today, for we have the ability of sensing and feeling what is really going on. We are living during times of myriad sights, sounds and sensations, a cacophony of mixed messages that may beguile but largely confuse. More so than ever, we have to have a jaded eye in regard to what is being told to us, read between the lines and still maintain a skeptical disposition even towards the most absolute empirical evidence. More often than not nowadays, things are not the way they seem. Fortunately, we have days like today, when our intuitive sense can be laser-like and we can strip away the images and appearances and get a true read on what is going on. This is a good day for us to plan, to strategize, not to accept any thing at face value and get a real sense of what is truly going on. We do not have to reveal our new found understanding, but at least we shall know without knowing.
Thursday, March 20th – Spring is Sprung – Jupiter, Venus, Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Vernal Equinox, Sun Aries. Thursday has the Scorpio Moon trine Jupiter, the Moon square Venus, the Moon sextile Pluto and the Moon conjunct Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius on Friday. The Sun exits Pisces, ending the astrological yearly cycle and enters Aries at the time of the Vernal Equinox, launching the astrological new year. We may be feeling upbeat and high with our coming into Spring. We could be making our plans for Springtime activities, fixing up our home environment and considering how we intend to use the more temperate days ahead to get outdoors and expand our activities. We can be feeling really good about thins, but we might also wonder whether our feelgood attitude is fool’s folly and why we have a nagging sense of waiting for the other shoe to drop. We could be a little intense today, focused on what we want to do and how we want to do it. We may brook no interference and by our attitude our relationships could be a little shaky. Each of us may be looking at bursting forward into this Spring, but the liable collateral damage of our exuberance could be both to our connections with other people and to our resources, where we feel that we do not have the tools necessary to expand into new directions. Even if some of our enthusiasm is dampened, we do not have to fall into a pity pit. We can trust in the universe, allow the tempering process, and keep in mind that intention is a large and often determining part of manifestation.
Friday, March 21st – Choices – Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Mercury, Neptune. Friday begins with the Void-of-Course Moon as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio without making any further connections to the planets before entering Sagittarius. With the Moon in Sagittarius, the Moon today trines the Sun, and the Moon squares both Mercury and Neptune, both of which will be exactly conjunct tomorrow. We can start the day revving our engines, ready to take on the world, even if we are somewhat slow-starting to begin the day. We may want to clear our desks, clean up the clutter and close out certain situations before we take on the world. But take on the world is what we might choose to do as the day progresses, and we might choose to take on the world by exploring the distant realms, getting out of Dodge and investigating interests foreign to us. This can be an exciting day but also a confusing day. We may have so many choices that we don’t know which to concentrate on. The world of possibilities could prove confusing and we have to be wary that we don’t find ourselves going around in circles. Even if we are hesitant about making wrong choices, we can accept the realization that we can always change our mind, step away from initial engagements and do something else. We do not have to be paralyzed in a catatonic state due to the various possibilities. Instead, we can see the various opportunities as a smorgasbord where we can taste this, try that until we determine which activities we choose to engage more fully.
Saturday, March 22nd – Trust in the Universe – Uranus, Venus, Mercury, Neptune. Saturday has the Sagittarius Moon trine Uranus and the Moon sextile Venus. Mercury conjuncts Neptune. This Saturday can be a day of grand adventure. We may want to spread our wings, soar into unfamiliar terrain and be open to the magic of the universe. We just have to avoid trying to figure everything out. We might want to better understand what is going on, but in so doing we could find ourselves getting in our own way. This is a day to suspend judgment, jump on the magical, mystery tour bus and let the universe proceed with us aboard. If we can stay out of our own way, not allow pre-conceived notions to get in our way, we could find some surprising developments coming our way. Spontaneity, even impulsiveness, is called for today. If we can engage someone in our grand adventure, we shall have two sets of eyes and ears to help us figure out what has gone on as we come towards the end of the day. There can be some exciting and unexpected incidents on this Saturday.
Sunday, March 23rd – Wishing for the Reprise – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun. If we could play over yesterday’s events on this Sunday, we certainly would. For Saturday could have been a lively, fun-filled day when whatever we had planned gave way to the magic and mini-miracles of these times. As long as we didn’t have our blinders on yesterday, we could have been privy to some marvelous surprising events. Sunday, not so much. Sunday begins with the Sagittarius Moon sextile Mars. We may be geared for reprise mode, looking to re-create some of the serendipitous and enlivening moments of yesterday. If we wait too long, we could be waiting for Godot, and we know what happens in Beckett’s play. After the Moon sextiles Mars, the Moon goes Void-of-Course today for almost nine and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before entering Capricorn where the Moon today squares the Sun. Despite other dimensions we might have been traipsing through on Saturday, hard cold reality comes back into focus and forces us to get back to considering our responsibilities, our obligations, our tasks at hand, all those neat mundane affairs that make up our daily life and often have us daydreaming about a Walter Mittyesque type of life.
