This week can have us coming and going, sometimes wondering where, other times wondering how, but always aware that we are in constant motion.
This week has all sorts of energy coursing through the days. We may experience fast accelerations only to hit some real speed bumps along the way.
The week starts off pleasantly enough. We may have plans to get together with someone for a leisurely time, but there could be an ulterior motive lurking in the back of our mind. We might feel that someone can provide us considerable assistance in dealing with our problems, advancing our interests. If any IOUs are out and due, we are likely to call them in. We want to move our plans ahead, and we are willing to draw upon whatever support we can garner.
The early part of the week can have us focused on our projects while having to contend with curveballs and expectations other people might have of us.
We have to be wary of an overreach during the mid-week, for things could easily spin out of control and take us down a slippery slope of increased expenditures, commitments and intentions that are easy to realize in the abstract, close to impossible in reality. We may be looking for various changes to engage, but let’s be wary of the costs involved in making those changes. Our future may seem rosier and more appealing than our present, but how we get there could prove to be a bramble path with prickers and tears along the way.
Relationships have been dicey over the past few weeks, and continue to be so, although our patience could be wearing thin.
The end of the week and the weekend have various twists and turns as the energy shifts and changes radically. We may wonder what is going on, feeling greater clarity on one hand but with a sense of lethargy or increased fatigue on the other hand. We may know where we want to go but our resources might be depleted. Let’s keep in mind that we are still dealing with the winter doldrums, no matter what the weather might be, and that we are all anxiously waiting to be sprung from winter into the promise of renaissance, rebirth, that comes with the Spring.
Monday, February 24th – Ready, Willing and Able – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Sun, Venus, Saturn. Monday begins the week with the Sagittarius Moon sextile Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for close to four and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before entering Capricorn where today the Moon sextiles both Neptune and the Sun in Pisces. Venus sextiles Saturn. We can start the day with a great thrust of energy. We are likely to be feeling upbeat with the intention of engaging someone with our projects and to advance our interests. We can be very astute today, able to show the practical applications of our plans with visionary foresight. This is a day when we can virtually preach to the choir flavoring our sermon to appeal to the interests of that person we wish to draw support from. This is a day when old debts could be called in. If we feel owed something, we are likely to call in our debt. A sense of obligation can impinge upon our interactions with other people. We have the passion to move our interests forward and also the sensitivity to present our plans in a most appealing manner with a little “owe me” thrown in.
Tuesday, February 25th – Through the Thickets – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn. We may have had a great deal of passion to start the day yesterday, and we could have combined it with an appealing, even seductive, manner. Tuesday could prove more problematic, as we seek to put into motion some of our plans and our best intentions. The Moon continues through Capricorn today, but the Moon triggers the Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon conjuncts Pluto, the Moon squares Uranus and the Moon opposes Jupiter. The Moon also sextiles Saturn. We all know that often our plans are far more easily realized in our mind’s eye than in the practical application of mundane reality. This Tuesday could have us trying to move things ahead but with various unexpected incidents getting in our way. We need to maintain focus today for not only could the unanticipated arise but we might even see so many things that we wish to deal with that we project for ourselves an overload situation. This is a day for us to concentrate on what is truly important to us, to prioritize and to seek the most expeditious means to accomplish our goals. If we would not get knocked off center by distractions or diverted from dealing with what needs to be done, we could accomplish a great deal. We just have to avoid being swayed by the cacophony of too many interests, too many demands, too many intrusions and instead concentrate on a well-devised strategy of what we truly want to get done.
Wednesday, February 26th – Possibility of the Impossible – Venus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter, Uranus. Wednesday is often referred to as hump day, a fact made reference to by the GEICO television commercial with the camel wandering through an office suite asking what day it is. This Wednesday could play to the sentiment in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s poem with the account:
“When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.”
Wednesday begins with the Moon in Capricorn conjunct Venus and the Moon square Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before entering Aquarius. We may tackle our responsibilities today, look to finish various details to our projects and might even find ourselves critiquing someone with negative input. But the main focus of this day is the energy triggered by the Jupiter square Uranus, and likelihood of extremes in action — perhaps very good indeed or downright horrid — all dependent upon our reaction to unexpected situations, either opportunities or challenges. The liability to over-the-top scenarios cannot be discounted. This is a day when we could easily bet the ranch on a hunch or avid risk-taking. We could either win the lottery or find ourselves with fool’s gold. It would be wise for us to keep our eyes and ears wide open and be willing to shift and change at a moment’s notice in accord with whichever way the wind may be blowing. Let’s not push anything today. If we are doing well, let’s not overdo it with the assumption that nothing can go wrong. If we are getting ourselves stuck in problems, then it would be wise to step away and not make matters worse by prolonging the agony. Either way, this Wednesday can be a high-energy day when the hump day of the week could be more a mountain than a molehill.
Thursday, February 27th – A New Set of Threads – Uranus, Mercury, Saturn. Thursday has the Aquarius Moon sextile Uranus, the Moon conjunct Mercury and the Moon square Saturn. We may be looking to our future than dealing with our present. We are interested in changes, new directions and exploring areas where we have never been before. Unexpected encounters could open doors to activities we may wish to pursue. This is a day for us to keep our antennae up, work with peripheral vision and appreciate those mini-miracles of being in the right place at the right time. We might hear about something that sparks our curiosity. Let’s keep in mind that we are entering a new paradigm where our original trajectory may shift and radically evolve into something we had never considered when we first started our involvement. While we might be far more interested in those things that speak to us and are unfamiliar to us, we might feel bound to our daily responsibilities and our obligations. Just because we have certain tasks that we have to attend to, that doesn’t mean that we cannot investigate potentials for our future. Even if we cannot fully participate in new projects, we can develop in our mind’s eye the suspension bridge of putting one slat down at a time in order to get us from where we are to where we want to be. We may have to go back and forth into our previous responsibilities before fully engaging our new interests, but by our intentions we can eventually get to the other side, our future, and finally cut the ties that bind. Let’s keep in mind that intention is the seed thought to manifestation.
Friday, February 28th – Feeling the Lessening of the Winter Grip – Mars, Neptune, Sun, Jupiter, Mercury direct. Thursday is the last day of February. We might have a greater sense that Spring is just around the corner. This Friday begins with the Aquarius Moon trine Mars. The Moon then goes into Pisces where today the Moon conjuncts Neptune. The Sun trines Jupiter, and Mercury ends it’s three-week retrograde cycle and turns direct. We may be feeling upbeat and optimistic and enthusiastic about ourselves and about our future. And to support our confident beliefs, we could be drawing upon someone for validation of our feelings and their appreciation for us. This is a day when everyone may go around patting themselves and other people on the back for all the wonderful things that each of us represents. The Mutual Admiration Society may be in session today. Where a problem arises is the fact that with Mercury turning direct, there can be various forms of convoluted activity — traffic snarls, computer glitches, communication problems and the like. What we intend to say might not come out of our mouths. Although we may be exuberant today, we could also find ourselves at times in a state of confusion. We might wonder where we are going and what we are doing, but fully aware that it is better to be in motion than just standing still, even if that movement seems to be going around in circles.
Saturday, March 1st – High Minded, Low Active – Pisces New Moon, Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Sun, Pluto, Saturn, Mars retrograde. There is a saying that ‘when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping’. Things today are not necessarily tough. On the contrary, we might feel as though we are in an idyllic state, at least in our mind’s eye. Today, there is the Pisces New Moon with the Moon conjunct the Sun. The Moon also triggers the Water Grand Trine with the Moon trine Jupiter in Cancer and the Moon trine Saturn in Scorpio. The Moon also sextiles Pluto. This is a day when we can accomplish a great deal, at least in our mind’s eye. Mentally and conceptually, we may resolve all of our problems, tie up all our loose ends and feel on top of the world. What a wonderful feeling! Where a problem arises is the fact that accomplishing things is far easier in the abstract than in reality. We could be feeling good about things, have a sense that we know where we are going and what we are doing, and subscribe to the belief that everything works out in perfect order. And it does, even if that perfect order is not necessarily in accord with our perceived perfect order. While we might feel that we can accomplish a great deal, there is a monkey wrench we have to be wary of. This weekend sees some major shift in energies, which started yesterday with Mercury turning from retrograde to direct motion. This Saturday has Mars turning retrograde and tomorrow Saturn turns retrograde. These energy shifts can enlighten the mind but slow down the progress and the procession in mundane reality.
Sunday, March 2nd – Pulling Up the Reins – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Saturn retrograde. Sunday has the Pisces Moon sextile Venus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over four and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before entering Aries. Venus squares Mars and Saturn turns retrograde, a further dramatic shift in energy that started on Friday with Mercury turning direct, continued yesterday with Mars turning retrograde and crescendos today with Saturn turning retrograde. We are moving into a period where things may take longer than we like. Even though life is moving at an accelerated pace, we might feel as though the reins are being pulled in and that things are delayed creating greater frustration for ourselves. We could even experience a fatigue and lethargy, a cumulative exhaustion for the sprint that we have been running for so long. And possibly the universe is offering us an opportunity to see that we are not in control of situations but rather active participants, co-creators, with the natural unfolding. Our reaction to times of being thwarted, of situations being delayed and of our being frustrated that we cannot merely wave a magic wand and make things happen will be key. Either we can accept the process and recognize, even if we do not understand, that any delays are a tempering process, a honing process, a gestation for things to better develop later in time. Or we could move into an angry, resentful attitude with liable collateral damage both to our projects, to ourselves and to our relationships. Often when we feel frustrated, we find some safe harbor for us to vent our anger. Unfortunately, there are times when that safe harbor becomes those people we care about the most. There is an old saying that is often neglected and negated during these times: “A.B.C. – Adversity Builds Character”. In a world of entitlement, none of us chooses adversity but rather we prefer the easily sledding and the greased wheels to get what we want without much effort or sweat on our part. This weekend begins a period of several months when we may be tested and challenged to keep our cool and not be frustrated either in our relationships or any sense of our resources being diminished. Even if we feel the reins being pulled in on us, it would be wise to keep in mind that ‘we never get more than we can handle’.
