This week, we can have our head in the clouds before being pulled back to daily responsibilities. Such a pullback may be a brief reality check before we look to the far horizons of various possibilities for our future.
This week could be a whipsaw. We can start the week flying high, looking to expand our involvements, seeking to incorporate exciting changes into our lives. While we may be enamored of our new interests, we do have to use due diligence in regard to whether those things we envision in our mind’s eye can be executed and manifested in real time and in our daily lives. We could be seduced by the prospects without considering the practical means by which to manifest our desires.
Whatever we engage this week, it would be wise for us to blueprint, strategize and even play devil’s advocate to challenge ourselves as to whether our wishes are pipedreams or situations that could become true realities. Although we have entered a new paradigm whereby things happen unexpectedly and events often seem random with magic and miracles occurring, we still have to participate, be involved and even engage the unfolding of situations.
We may fly high early in the week from the promises of possibilities, but mid-week we have to be wary that we do not hit the ground. We may feel exhausted and have a certain malaise. But let’s keep in mind that this two-week period triggered by last Sunday’s New Moon and Solar Eclipse is asking us to reflect deeply upon the transformational process that we are going through. Contemplating without judgment or heavy emotion would go a long way towards our understanding how we as butterflies are no longer caterpillars. Even if we do not have fully formed wings, we may recognize that we cannot go back to whom we have been. Onward and upward, but also with the appreciation that there are times when our energy may be drained, and we feel quite fatigued by the alchemical process we find ourselves in.
The shifting of gears into turning our gaze away from limitless possibilities to what is right in front of us does allow us to take care of the business at hand.
The weekend would be a good time for us to step off the track of our daily routine, engage with other people, discuss both meaningful and mindless topics of conversations, and not jump to any conclusions.
The weekend finishes with the end of the three-week Mercury retrograde cycle as Mercury turns direct later on Sunday. This Mercury retrograde could have proven to be a real doozey with misunderstandings, people on edge, and some intense incidents. With Mercury turning direct, we can start to decipher the hieroglyphs of the past three weeks. But on the weekend, keep in mind that with Mercury shifting direction, there can also be an increase in traffic difficulties, miscommunications, and computer glitches.
Monday, November 4th – Hang Over and Hung Up – Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune. Yesterday’s Sunday had the Scorpio New Moon and Solar Eclipse. In the US, it was the day when we turned the clocks back from daylight savings time to standard time. We gained an hour, an extra hour to sleep. But one hour may not have been enough, and as we start this Monday, we might feel as though we are suffering from extreme sleep deprivation. The Moon is Void-of-Course for much of the day making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius today. The Moon in Sagittarius today squares Neptune. Even though the day might be slow starting as though we were suffering a hang over, which in reality may just be a general sense of malaise, we have to be wary of being hung up by a wide array of possibilities. The Moon squares Neptune, and we could see all sorts of permutations for our lives and for our various activities. We may want to broaden our involvements, but we have to be wary that we don’t grab at just any shiny, sparkly thing that grabs our fancy. We might be slightly confused, even bemused, by various things presented to us. Let’s enjoy the show, the images and the appearances, but let’s also avoid making commitment or definitive decisions at this time.
Tuesday, November 5th – Come Hell or High Water – Uranus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus Capricorn. The day starts with the Sagittarius Moon trine Uranus and the Moon square Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for close to twenty-nine hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before entering Capricorn later tomorrow. Venus exits Sagittarius to enter Capricorn. This is a day when we may want to go off on a grand adventure. We are interested in the new and exciting, the spontaneous and enlivening. We might jump at anything that attracts our interest, and we could do so without considering the means, the intention or the consequences of our actions. We are also looking for social encounters that add something to us, either in prestige or important contacts. The tendency to be socially climbing cannot be discounted. We may no longer want to waste our time with anyone who cannot provide some benefit to us. The energy dies down, and the initial thrust to begin the day could peter out. We just have to watch that our enthusiasm and any tendency to leap before we look didn’t end us up in a chasm, quagmire or other brambles of entanglement.
Wednesday, November 6th – Wind Knocked Out of Our Sails – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Neptune, Mercury, Sun, Saturn. Wednesday continues with the Void-of-Course Moon from yesterday, a lengthy Void-of-Course Moon of almost twenty-nine hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Capricorn later in the day on this Wednesday. When the Moon moves into Capricorn, today the Moon conjuncts Venus, the Moon sextiles Neptune and the Moon sextiles Mercury. The Sun conjuncts Saturn. The thrust of energy we might have felt yesterday morning could have gotten us involved in situations that proved dead ends or an expenditure of energy without much result. We might feel somewhat deflated on this Wednesday, as though the wind has been knocked out of our sails. We might be slow starting on this Wednesday and feel like we don’t have the resources or abilities to get things done. Even if we feel slightly defeated or discouraged, the energy shifts late in the day. One of our lessons during these times is to come to the realization to ‘work smarter rather than harder’. As the day progresses, we can draw upon someone for their support, and we can use our intuitive sense to devise a best practices approach to any problems we have encountered and to advance our new found interests. Increasingly, we may become better aware of cycles with their phases, those times of expending energy, other times of regrouping and waiting for a more propitious time to move ahead. We can do both today. Rest and regroup and then blueprint and plan the most expeditious ways to proceed.
Thursday, November 7th – Action, Reaction – Uranus, Pluto, Mars, Saturn, Sun, Venus, Neptune, Jupiter retrograde. Thursday has the Capricorn Moon triggering the Uranus Pluto square by the Moon square Uranus and the Moon conjunct Pluto. The Moon also trines Mars, the Moon sextiles Saturn, and the Moon sextiles the Sun. Jupiter turns retrograde today, and Venus sextiles Neptune. This can be a highly productive day, if we are willing to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstance. Unexpected situations might try to trip us up, but we have the skill set to deal with any curve balls that might be thrown at us. We might be more conservative in our approach, not expend as much energy or have as lofty goals as we might have set for ourselves before. Instead of giant leaps across chasms with the intent of having it all and doing so in a very short period of time, we may decide to take deliberate steps, recalculate as we go along, always ready to fine tune as we move forward. Someone might provide us with some interesting ideas, and we may encounter people with whom we have a certain emotional connection. This day can be one when we address various issues, but things may not go according to schedule. This is a day for us to ‘go with the flow’.
Friday, November 8th – The Balancing Act – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Venus. Friday begins with the Capricorn Moon opposed Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost sixteen hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before entering Aquarius where today the Moon squares Mercury. Mercury sextiles Venus. This is a day when we might feel pulled in different directions. On the one hand, we may have certain outstanding matters that we need to address. We may want to accomplish a great deal today. After all, today is Friday, and we would like to clear the decks to have our weekend free. We can accomplish a fair amount today, but our attention to detail might prove spotty at best. Drawing upon someone as a sounding board could help us focus our energies and prevent us from getting distracted by fascinating, but mindless, diversions. With so much stimuli bombarding us on a daily basis, there are times when we need that special someone to help us put blinders on so we can concentrate on the truly meaningful. Today could be one of those days as our thoughts and minds file through all sorts of things for us to do. Focus! The latter part of the day kicks off the weekend, and we might be looking for FUN. Get-togethers with that special someone, or special people, can be an entertaining evening. We just have to watch for the expense involved. We may be living for the weekend, and the weekend is on. Let the good times roll.
Saturday, November 9th – The Rain, the Park & Other Things – Uranus, Saturn, Mars, Mercury, Neptune. Saturday is a day when we can deal with errands, escape from our mundane realities, and do other things as well. This Saturday can be a highly active day. The Aquarius Moon sextiles Uranus and the Moon squares Saturn. Mars sextiles Saturn and Mercury trines Neptune. This is a day when we want it all — even to the point of inter-galactic travel. We are willing to accomplish some of the outstanding matters that we have on our ‘to do’ list. But if that’s all there is… no wait, there’s more. We may engage some strange but thrilling events today. We are willing to step off the ledge, get out of our comfort zone, and seek nirvana, or Samadhi, or an escape into Oz [Australia not withstanding]. Although we are likely to have on our adventurer’s cap today, we do have to be careful about the expenses involved. We could get so wrapped up into the magic of this day that we cast our fate to the winds. The day is best served if we make a list of what we want to accomplish, take care of those specific items and then allow ourselves to take a magic carpet ride, or at the least meander through the park, or stroll by the seashore or hike a mountain, or luxuriate in Shangri-la.
Sunday, November 10th – Waiting For – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury direct. Late Saturday, early Sunday, the Aquarius Moon squares the Sun. We might have stepped out of our comfort zone yesterday. Yes, Saturday could have been a time to escape our reality. Fortunately, there is always a silver cord, or life thread, to our physical body. No matter how far out we went yesterday or how extreme our escapes might have been, we can rein ourselves back into our physical bodies today. It might not be totally comfortable, but we can land back on planet earth. The Moon goes Void-of-Course for over twenty and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before entering Pisces late in the day, early Monday. There is not a great deal of energy to get moving on this Sunday. We might have a hang over from yesterday. Stepping off the planet every now and then can be a healthy thing, but when we get back on planet earth we might feel like we need to take some time to catch our breath. Today could be one of those days, which is quite all right, for this is also the day that Mercury ends its three-week retrograde cycle and turns direct. Whenever Mercury is stationary and turns in motion whether direct to retrograde or retrograde to direct, things get a little crazed. Things become rather convoluted, communications misunderstood, traffic piles up, and computers can get a little feisty. But we can be thankful that we survived another Mercury retrograde, even if it did screw up various things in our lives. We now have time over the next few weeks to unscrew them.
