August 26th – September 1st, 2013

Twists and turns may be a large part of this week as we gain a second wind and look to get back on track for the autumn. The calendar reads summer, but our energies are focusing more on autumn and our normal daily involvements.

This is the last full week of August with Sunday being the first day of September. We may begin the week a little befuddled. We might not have all the information at our disposal to make an accurate gauge of what is really going on. Unanticipated variables can mess with our schedules. We could be enthusiastic and looking to broaden our reach, but we might question what we are doing and where we are going. We may far prefer to draw from a wide palette rather than a singular focus. We could assume ‘the more, the merrier’ belief, but only if we can be on top of things, in control of situations and directing the many varied elements of our lives. That’s a tall order, especially when curveballs and knuckleballs may be thrown at us from out of left field.

Although we might be looking at taking on more and more, we have to be wary of skipping over details, neglecting the specifics and believing that it will all turn out right in the end. That’s a nice concept, but it would be wise to keep in mind that today’s reality has very little comparison to where we have been or to patterns of the past. We are on a whole new playing field and involved in a game whose rules have yet to be defined and could prove largely indefinable. Welcome to the world of asequential reality where anything seems to go.

The mid-week period could have us spreading our nets wide, considering virtually everything and anything, and making attempts at anything that catches our fancy. If we can restrain our emotions and utilize hard, cold reasoning, we might filter the unacceptable from those things we may want to pursue in greater depth. Discernment and selectivity is key. Without them, we could find ourselves on overload and back to being befuddled and confused.

The weekend in the US is the long Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end to summer but also a weekend often reserved for a final summer blowout. Family and friends may be welcome to our social gatherings, but keep in mind that plans may not go according to… plans.

Monday, August 26th – Say It Ain’t So – Pluto, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Sun, Neptune. Monday starts the week with the Taurus Moon trine Pluto and the Moon sextile Jupiter. Venus completes its Cardinal Sign T-Square with Venus exiting its own Sign of Libra square Pluto this past Saturday and Venus opposed Uranus today. The Sun opposes Neptune. Today commemorates [celebrates?] Women’s Equality Day in honor of the certification of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution that granted women the right to vote. Almost 100 years since the 19th Amendment was certified, women in the US are still generally paid less than their male counterparts for the similar work position, still generally have to break through the glass ceiling of executive management in corporations and still are underrepresented in Congressional legislative positions. I stand by my contention that we in the US live in a misogynistic society. While we can get a great deal done today if we stay focused and utilize due diligence, we have to be wary of buying into appearance or hype. If we are distracted by unexpected situations arising or by sweet-talking presentations, we could be led down the garden path and end up in a confused and dismayed state. We may see aspects in someone that surprise and disappoint us. Everyone may be a little guarded today and the level of trust in other people may be at a minimal. We might feel confused ourselves and project that confusion on our assessment of other people and circumstances in which we find ourselves. This day is better served with dealing with things in a concentrated manner and not step away from the familiar or what we may be comfortable with.

Tuesday, August 27th – Reach Out of the Darkness – Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Mars Leo. Tuesday continues with the Taurus Moon, which today has the Moon sextile Mars, just before the Moon exits Taurus to enter Gemini and before Mars exits Cancer today-tomorrow to enter Leo. Mercury sextiles Saturn and Venus squares Jupiter. There is a saying: “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” We might have bought into whatever was being told us yesterday, but we are a little smarter today. We are less gullible, less impressionable, less vulnerable today. Our analytical ability is microscopic. We can strip away the fluff and get to the essence to see what is really going on. We are not looking to be confrontational today. On the contrary, we could be back-slapping, hand-shaking, all with pleasantries, but rest assured, similar to the title of the 1971 classic song by The Who we Won’t Get Fooled Again. We are looking out for ourselves and could even turn the tables as our compassionate side gives way to a dramatic and forceful presentation of our own personal interests. Not that we are being hardened to the needs of other people. We may go out of our way for someone today, but we shall be far more selective and discerning as to whom we look to help. We just have to be wary that we don’t overdo our assistance. We could make someone our special caretaking case where we do more than would be appropriate just to show our benevolence and our consideration, over-consideration.

Wednesday, August 28th – Back in the Middle or Muddle – Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Sun, Mercury, Uranus, Pluto. Wednesday has the Moon in Gemini, and the Moon today creates a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Neptune in Pisces and the Moon squares both the Sun and Mercury in Virgo. Later in the day, the Moon sextiles Uranus. Mercury trines Pluto. Today we can see conflicting information with various spin put on data and communications. Due diligence is more than called for today. It is downright essential. The tricksters and hypemeisters may be out in full force today, and we shall need our vigilance and mindfulness to separate the kernels of truth from the maize, or maze. This is a day to avoid immediate reactions, since first impressions can be deceiving. If we do not get caught up in the whirlwind of frenzied emotion, then we can use our laser-like vision to cut through the projections and see what is truly going on. We do need to slow things down on this Wednesday, for we could be in full throttle, juggling any number of things and making decisions on cursory information. While we could get entangled in various messes today, we can step away from the craziness late in the day, consider new directions and leave the unfinished business behind. There will be days to sort things out, but today is not likely to be that day.

Thursday, August 29th – Pacing the Floors – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. The latter part of Wednesday, early Thursday could prove pleasant, and a nice respite from the craziness of Wednesday. We may have stepped away from some of the crazy-making going round in circles that led us nowhere, except in circles. We might have turned our attention in new directions, aware that continuing to focus on our routine activities was only wasting our time and offering no clear resolutions. Out of survival mode, we could have tuned out from the rest of the world and focused on those activities that put a smile on our face. And in our escape from the hurly-burly of daily activities, we may have found someone joining us in our sanctuary, in our own little world. This Thursday could feel like a waiting game. Late Wendesday, early Thursday the Gemini Moon trines Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-course for almost thirty-one hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before entering Cancer on Friday. There may not be much energy on this Thursday and certainly none compared to Wednesday, but the frenzied nature of Wednesday could leave us with something akin to a hangover where our nerves are still jangled and we are trying to get the anxiety of yesterday out of our system. We may be pacing the floors on this Thursday, but in our hurried back and forth we can also play around with varied activities, all with a sense of trying things out rather than any real concentration or conclusion.

Friday, August 30th – Brand New Day – Lunar Grand Trine, Neptune, Saturn, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter. “Hump” day of Wednesday could have knocked the wind out of our sails, but this Friday seems a far more placid and enjoyable day. No more fright nights for us. We may have had our fill mid-week. No, this Friday can be an especially pleasant day and not merely because it’s a T.G.I.F. [thank god it’s Friday]. The Moon enters Cancer and the Moon triggers the Water Element Grand Trine with the Cancer Moon trine Neptune in Pisces and the Moon trine Saturn in Scorpio. The Moon also sextiles the Sun. The Sun sextiles Saturn and Mercury sextiles Jupiter. We can pick up the pieces today. Whatever crazy-making events might have gone on during the mid-week, we can turn things around, make things nice and feel more upbeat and inspired that things do in deed work out in the end. This Friday is a primo day. We might have used Thursday to decompress and get the nervous energy ramped up on Wednesday out of our system. We could feel more placid on this Friday, more in tune with what is going on and may feel blessed. Time spent with family, friends and around our home base can nurture us and give us emotional support. We may have a sense that we are in the right place at the right time. Feeling comforted and emotionally supported, we can refine and redefine many of our activities. Our perception is far stronger today. Even if we became confused or led down the garden path in the mid-week time, we can step into the sanctuary of our daily lives’ support system. This is a day for camaraderie and appreciation of all the blessings in our lives. Whether we feel our guardian angels around us or not, and whether those guardian angels are in the etheric realms of other dimensions or take the form of the people in our daily lives, we may feel protected and blessed on this Friday, a day that can put the smile back on our face.

Saturday, August 31st – Back At It – Lunar Grand Cross, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus. Saturday triggers the Uranus Pluto square with the Cancer Moon creating a Cardinal Sign Grand Cross with the Moon conjunct Jupiter, the Moon opposed Pluto in Capricorn, the Moon square Uranus in Aries and the Moon square Venus in Libra. The Moon sextiles Mercury. Whether scheduled or not, we may have a great deal on our plate today. Our ‘to do’ list could be like a cup runneth over with so much to do and little time to do it in. Add to our full plans for the day unanticipated variables, delays and other people impacting our actions, and we could find ourselves all over the place. This is a day that calls for adept planning as to how best to proceed, all with an appreciation that we may have to shift and change our itinerary and recognize that some activities may take longer than planned. We do have to watch for an element of overwhelm and yesterday’s pleasantries may recede in memory as we seem to be back at it in the hurly-burly of today’s living. Never more than now, the concept of ‘go with the flow’ is one we need to adhere to, even though the flow can range from rapids to stagnant waters and every rhythm and pace in between. We may feel upbeat and ready for the games and even call out: ‘let the games begin’. But it would be wise for us to recognize that both the rules of the games and the games themselves may shift and change during the process, during the day. By the end of the day, we might want to catch our breath, recharge our batteries, but it would be wise for us not to engage confrontations with our loved ones. Late Saturday, early Sunday, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for close to twenty-four hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo late on Sunday, early Monday. The energy dies down, which may prove a welcome relief from a fairly hectic Saturday.

Sunday, September 1st – Plans and Strategies of Transformation – Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Pluto. Sunday could prove to be truly a day of rest, or contemplation, or making plans without moving them forward. The Moon transiting through Cancer is Void-of-Course making no connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo later today, early Monday morning. The Sun trines Pluto. This is a day best served in reflection as to where we have been and who we are becoming. We all have gone through significant transitions and transformations these past few years. There have been times when we have been so much in the thick of things that we just haven’t had the opportunity to take a moment to reflect on where we are going or the changes we have been going through internally as far as our character and who we are truly becoming. This Sunday allows us to stop and consider our path, our journey and how much has shifted in our lives over the past few years. While we might be aware of the varied external changes that have occurred to us, we might be less mindful of the internal changes we have gone through, the alchemical process of life turning our base mettle into gold. Today is a day for us to reconnect with our essence, our spirit, our soul. We may take a look at the true meaning of our lives, our life purpose and whether we are more in line with what really speaks to us or if we are continuing to dance around our true being for some needless rewards, accomplishments and self-affirmations. Wherever we are in the dance of our lives, this day allows us to plan and strategize more clearly our ambitions, our goals, our self-fulfillment and our en-lightenment.
