This week starts with a roar, a lion’s roar with the Sun entering Leo and the Aquarius Full Moon. This week may have us acting in a regal manner searching for good times and engaging pleasurable excursions. It’s summertime! The living might not be easy but we are hell-bent on having fun.
The early part of this week can have us exploring new avenues that could provide us greater freedom of movement. We might want to step off the track, get out of Dodge and gain a second wind by being out of our familiar haunts. Nothing provides a fresh perspective more than getting out of town, away from our normal patterns of behavior. And a fresh perspective may be what we want and what we need at this time. The mood swings and the emotions might have been so extreme recently that we could all feel waterlogged by the emotional dramas we have engaged and / or been witness to. Enough already! It’s time for us to shake off the morass of intense feelings the way a dog shakes off the water from being in the rain or having been washed.
Although we might choose to step off the track, shake off the watery ways of emotional responses and look to brighter days through better ways, it will be hard for us to detach and disengage. No, the watery mix is strong and reinforced in the mid-week period. Getting down by the water, listening to music, moments of contemplation and pleasant reveries in our happy safe place would all be antidotes to sensitive reactions.
This week is a time when we could gain a greater discernment regarding with whom we are doing the dance. We may hold people to higher standards and look more for flaws than attributes in the people with whom we engage. There can be reunions and reconnections this week, and some of these interactions might provide us a mirror as to where we are now in our lives as opposed to where we were when we last saw those people that we have not seen in a while.
We are all going through a sifting of people, places and things. We might feel uncomfortable in our own skin but even more uncomfortable by the thorns in our paws, thorns that are situations we have outgrown but in which we continue to involve ourselves by force of habit.
The end of the week can have us closing and opening doors on various people. We do have to be wary of tricksters, those people that seem one way but their reality being something else. Our ability at discernment could be tested by those people who represent the Jekylls and Hydes in our life experience and our seeing whether we shall engage them, let go or just walk on by. Let’s keep aware and be mindful with the recognition that we are going through a time of fine-tuning, of honing our character and developing our instincts.
The weekend and the end of the month could ratchet up the intensity. Just as the month may have begun with some extreme measures and high drama, this weekend and the end of the month can have some over-the-top actions and knee-jerk reactions. If we do not take the time to decipher what is truly going on, we could be impetuous and make some bone-headed decisions based on too little information or misinformation.
Monday, July 22nd – Hurry Up and Wait – Aquarius Full Moon, Lunar T-Square, Sun, Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, Venus Virgo, Sun Leo. Today we may be fast out of the gate. It’s the 22nd, the number in numerology that indicates the Master Builder with the ability to lay down solid foundations. This is also the first week of Mercury direct after our three-week Mercury retrograde cycle. Mars conjuncts Jupiter, and we have two Sign changes today as the Sun exits Cancer to enter Leo, and Venus exits Leo to enter Virgo. The Moon in Capricorn is Void-of-Course from yesterday until the late morning – afternoon hours when the Moon moves into Aquarius and triggers the Aquarius Full Moon with the Moon opposed the Sun. The Moon creates a T-Square with the Moon opposed the Sun and the Moon square Saturn. We may be fast out of the gate with great intentions for the day, but we could find ourselves hitting some roadblocks or impediments that either slow us down or stand in our way. The old Hollywood adage of ‘hurry up and wait’ may be in force today. We might have to cool our jets, slow things down and not feel overly frustrated by any delays. We are looking for fun adventures, focused more on summertime relaxation and re-creation and we may be in serious need of same. We could have a sense of being on overwhelm and perhaps a little blown out by all that we have been through in recent months. Stepping off the track might prove a healthy antidote to our daily conditions. Let’s go with the flow and respond as conditions warrant, even if that means various twists and turns in our journey today. This Monday may be a day to engage our tai chi moves.
Tuesday, July 23rd – Explorations and Self-Discoveries – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday continues with the Moon in Aquarius, which today sextiles Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over twenty-eight hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit and before entering Pisces tomorrow. We may find ourselves in new terrain or certainly considering options and alternatives to our mundane routines. If we didn’t overextend ourselves yesterday and overtax our energy reserves, then this day can be a highly interesting time to explore, investigate and discover. Our attention may be drawn to areas with which we are unfamiliar. We are not as hopped up as yesterday when we might have wanted everything to occur in one fell swoop or to occur immediately. We may seem far more patient today, more willing to take the time to take into account all the varied facets of a situation before jumping in. We are interested in new and different aspects of ourselves but not looking to dive into the deep end of the pool. We would rather put our toes in, test the waters and determine whether we want to explore further or engage in a smorgasbord of sampling various interests, different types of activities.
Wednesday, July 24th – Goldilocks and the Three Bears – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Neptune, Saturn. The Void-of-Course Moon that began yesterday continues into today as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before entering Pisces. The latter part of this Wednesday has the Pisces Moon opposed Venus, the Moon conjunct Neptune, and the Moon trine Saturn. Our moods may be intensified with some wide swings in our emotions. We may feel out of sorts and as though nothing is good enough or that nothing satisfies our cravings. We might be like Goldilocks and the three bears whereby this one is not good enough, that one not good enough and maybe, only maybe, a third one matches our expectations. We can be rather critical and looking at flaws and frailties more than considering positive attributes. While we might be holding people to higher standards, our clarity could be hazy and foggy. Our decisions and actions today may be misguided. If we can get clear, then we can channel our emotions, focus on our goals and not be entangled by wild swings in our moods.
Thursday, July 25th – Clearing Away the Debris – Jupiter, Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. If we can channel our energy into clearing the decks and cleaning up our clutter, we could be highly productive. The Pisces Moon today trines the Cancer-transiting planets of Jupiter, Mars and Mercury. The Moon also sextiles Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twenty-six and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before entering Aries late tomorrow. Just as Pisces is the last Sign on the Zodiac wheel and represents finishing and endings, so too is it for us today. The more we can focus on the needs of our family, focus on the issues of friends and attend to home projects, the more we can accomplish and ever more than we might imagine. It would be wise for us to prioritize our activities. We have a great deal of energy, may assume that we can do it all and more, but we may be running more on our passions than an accurate measure of our energy. Passion can take us far but we need the physical energy to back up our determination. By focusing on the most important first, we can take care of our most pressing needs and then address secondary issues, if we have the energy to do so.
Friday, July 26th – Martyr or Savior – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Neptune, Saturn. Friday continues with the Pisces Moon which went Void-of-Course yesterday and continues Void-of-Course through much of this day. The Moon makes no connections to the planets today as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before entering Aries late in the day. Venus opposes Neptune and Venus sextiles Saturn. This is a day when we need to be discerning regarding whom we help and how we help. We could be easily infatuated, even led astray, by someone who puts on a grand impression but with nothing to back it up. This is a day when we can be incredibly resourceful, just as long as we focus our energies. Let’s not get distracted by images and appearances without considering the source and checking the agenda. Relationships could be a little dicey today. We might have great expectations of other people and make assumptions based upon potential and what we would like to believe. Blind faith could lead to disastrous consequences. Why go there when through due diligence we can determine our best course of action, be incredibly resourceful and help those willing to then help themselves?
Saturday, July 27th – Banging and Crashing – Sun, Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Mars, Pluto, Uranus, Saturn, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Saturday could prove one intense day. The Aries Moon trines the Sun and the Aries Moon triggers a T-Square with the Aries Moon square the Cancer-transiting planets of Jupiter, Mars and Mercury, and the Moon square Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon conjuncts Uranus. The Sun squares Saturn. Mars opposes Pluto. All hell could break loose today and especially if we choose to be impetuous, impulsive, and reckless. The potential for actings out cannot be discounted. It would be wise for us to have eyes in the back of our head, be ever vigilant today. For this day could unleash unexpected incidents and a fury unrelenting. There can be a great deal of violent action, bomb blasts, explosions and the like on this Saturday. We may want to stay in the sanctity of our own home. If we do go out and about, defensive driving is suggested and not allowing ourselves to react immediately to any confrontational situations. Today is a day to walk softly, speak softly and maintain a low profile. Did I refer to this day as one INTENSE day? You betcha. Late in the day, early Sunday the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-six and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus late Sunday, early Monday morning. The energy dies down but the effects of today’s intensity could linger on.
Sunday, July 28th – Solace in Happy Places – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Jupiter. The Moon transiting through Aries is Void-of-Course today making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before entering Taurus late today, early Monday morning. Venus sextiles Jupiter. We may seek the sanctuary of our home and family on this Sunday. We might consider building a moat around our home, or any buffer that allows us a sense of protection from the wolves of the world howling outside our door. This is one of those days when we might engage the sentiments of the classic 1960’s song Make the World Go Away with its lyric of: ‘Make the world go away And get it off my shoulders.’ Yesterday might have knocked the wind out of our sails, and today could be a day when we need to recharge ourselves without too much exertion or too much involvement. This end of July could evidence extreme actions so let’s grab moments of serenity whenever we can to catch our breath and prepare for the next go-round of high intensity. Sunday, and this Sunday especially, can be our day of rest.
