June 3rd – 9th, 2013

We might feel as though we have gained a second wind this week, as we come into the first full week of June. Our feelings are heightened, and our thoughts may turn to pleasurable social gatherings and plans for our summer staycations.

Our interest is in being good to ourselves, doing nice things for ourselves, and appreciating who we are and the successes of what we have been doing. Life is grand in this early part of June, but we do have to be wary of a metronome-like quality to our thoughts and to our feelings.

Throughout this month of June we have the play and paradox of two different energy configurations — a Grand Trine in the Water Element and a T-Square in the Cardinal Signs. We see this dichotomy this week with the week beginning with Mercury triggering the Grand Trine, and then Mercury triggering the T-Square right around the time of the New Moon on Saturday.

We begin the week on an upbeat attitude. We are looking for new venues, new ways to express our individuality and new formats in which to express our creativity. We may feel as though everything is working out the way it should and the way it benefits us most. Our intuitive sense can be strong and we could come up with an ingenious way of turning our dreams into reality. We see the methods that can lead us to where we want to go and with a feeling that we may be magically guided in the right direction.

We can virtually charm the birds out of the trees in the early part of the week and take itinerary in hand and move effortlessly ahead with our projects and our plans. Things may seem to fit neatly together, but it would be wise for us to keep in mind that there just might be issues to address or inconsistencies for us to resolve as we move along the week.

The end of the week and the weekend can be a horse of a different color. The ease with which we move forward at the beginning of the week can shift into a topsy-turvy time when we may have to deal with blockages and impediments. The ease of the beginning of the week when we might have felt as though easily navigating the meadows and fields can shift dramatically at the end of the week and over the weekend when we could feel as though our meadows and fields are laced with minefields that could go off at any minute.

The end of the week and the weekend could demand that we be on our toes. Advocates for us at the beginning of the week can turn into our nemesis at the end of the week. We could be led down the garden path only to find ourselves in an explosive situation.

This is a week when we need to be adroit and fully observant. It is important that we not wholly buy into the ease of expression and movement without keeping a jaded eye open for things turning awry and the law of unintended consequences becoming evident.

Monday, June 3rd – Nothing Could Be Finer – Uranus, Sun, Mercury, Grand Trine, Neptune, Saturn. We start the week firing on all cylinders. The Aries Moon conjuncts Uranus and the Moon sextiles the Sun. We are feeling upbeat, wanting to put our creative imprint on all that we do and looking to new realms in which to express our thoughts and our feelings. Thoughts and feelings are aplenty today, thanks to the Mercury in Cancer triggering the Water Grand Trine with Mercury trine Neptune in Pisces and Mercury trine Saturn in Scorpio. We can present ourselves and give voice to our innovative plans with impelling imagination and grounded methodology. We have it going on this Monday. We have our head in the clouds and our feet firmly planted on the ground. We can present our best case scenario, draw people into our viewpoint and win the admiration of other people. Not that we are solely looking for applause and adulation. We want what we want and can come up with how best to entice others to give us what we need. This Monday is a primo day when it may seem as though we are moving ahead on greased wheels, moving smoothly and easily forward. The caveat remains that as good as it seems in the early part of the week, things can unravel and turn stormy at the end of the week and over the weekend.

Tuesday, June 4th – Spirit into Action – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Neptune, Saturn. Late Monday, early Tuesday we are likely to still feel pumped with the sense that all’s right in our world. The Aries Moon sextiles Jupiter before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost ten hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before entering Taurus. The Moon in Taurus today sextiles Venus, the Moon sextiles Neptune and the Moon opposes Saturn. Our initial booyah today of good feelings and upbeat attitude born from yesterday can drop off as we wonder how best to implement our new found second wind. As the day progresses, we can put spirit into action. We could take the steps necessary to implement our goals and advance our interests. Our euphoria of yesterday could instill a sense of nothing going wrong, and we do have to avoid being extravagant, all with the belief that everything will work out in the end. It does, but not always in accord with our wishes. Late in the day, we may come to a realization that we have stepped across the line of wise expenditure of our resources. We might recognize that we need to cut back and be more judicious in our selections and our involvements. We may feel as though enough is never enough, but there can be times when enough is too much. After a flurry of activity yesterday and today, we should consider slowing things down, re-evaluating and seeing where we go from here with limits to our outlays.

Wednesday, June 5th – Due Diligence and Timing – Mercury, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday begins the day with the Taurus Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon trine Pluto. If we received a wake-up call yesterday regarding our expenditures overlapping into extravagance and excess, we can rein in our approach today and be far more selective and discriminating in what we do and how we do it. Wednesday is a good day for planning, planning our next steps, devising a best practices strategy and determining how we can achieve more with less expenditure of energy. We can be highly adept at coming up with streamlined methods that cut to the core and deal with the fundamentals. As the old English proverb states: ‘Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves’. If we will concentrate on the details, tighten the particulars and focus on the specifics, we may find that things fall neatly together in the larger scope, in the bigger picture. During these hurly-burly times when things can change radically without notice in a nanosecond of time and we are called upon to act or react immediately, there are times of incredible acceleration but also times when the energy drops off dramatically, when there is no energy and when there is a feeling of stagnation. Often these latter times come during the Moon Void-of-Course with the Moon finishing its transit of a Sign without making any further connections to the planets. This year has many long drawn out Moons Void-of-Course. And today is one of those times. After attending to our blueprinting of plans and strategy with the Taurus Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon trine Pluto, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for thirty-eight hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before entering Gemini late on Thursday, early Friday. There are times to plan and times to act, and there are times when we need to engage patience and wait in order for a more propitious time in which to act.

Thursday, June 6th – Waiting for Godot. Thursday continues with the Moon Void-of-Course making no connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Taurus and before entering Gemini late tonight, early tomorrow morning. We may feel as though we are in a holding pattern, and to some large extent we are. This is a day that may not have a great deal of energy to it, so it would be wise for us not to believe that we can accomplish a great deal. Things may take longer than we like. Situations can unravel and various loose ends evident to us but with us ineffectual to do much about them. The best use of this day may be straightening up things, cleaning up our clutter and going over our intended plans. We may feel as though we are ‘Waiting for Godot’, but unlike Beckett’s play, Godot could actually arrive, eventually but unlikely on this Thursday. One of our lessons, for each and every one of us, and a lesson that is hard learned during these accelerated times, is the lesson of patience. Although we have all been conditioned into making things happen, engaging even just busy work and mastering our circumstances, there is a wise saying that has been extolled generation after generation, even if not always employed. The saying is ‘good things come to those who wait’. Patience is often necessary, even in these frenetic times, in order for things to gestate, germinate, percolate and eventually to rise to the surface, blossom and bloom. Today is one of those days to wait and have patience. It would be wise for us today to rest up, reinvigorate and re-create, for the intensity ratchets up over the next two days.

Friday, June 7th – Room Full of Mirrors – Mars, Neptune, Uranus, Venus, Grand Trine, Saturn, Mercury, T-Square, Pluto, Neptune retrograde. We might have felt yesterday as if nothing were happening. What a difference a day makes! This Friday ramps up the energy. We are on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. But that certainly doesn’t mean that nothing is going on. On the contrary, it would seem today as though things are moving fast and furious. We may not know whether we are up, down, just know that we are spinning all around. The Gemini Moon today conjuncts Mars, the Moon squares Neptune and the Moon sextiles Uranus. Mars squares Neptune. The two significant energy configurations of this month are triggered. Venus triggers the Grand Trine with Venus trine Neptune and Venus trine Saturn. Mercury triggers the T-Square with Mercury opposed Pluto today and Mercury square Uranus tomorrow. Whatever we see today, we might not see clearly. Things may seem very impressionistic, and we have to be wary that we don’t buy into first appearances or accept what we see based upon what we want to see. We need to maintain a healthy skepticism even amidst all the fog. Our feelings are engaged and we can see the best in people both based upon our past experiences with them but also our sense of their real potential — who they could be. If we go solely on first impressions and our desire to see the best in everyone, we could engage actions that are not well-considered or well thought out but could only lead us down the rabbit hole of illusions, confusions, delusions and eventual disappointment. We may be in turbothrust today and once in movement we can speed rapidly ahead without considering the direction or the indication signs along the way. Such attitude and behavior could prove a recipe for disaster with us ultimately slamming into a brick wall. We might, however, due to the fast acceleration of this day, come to some sudden understandings and take remedial action. If we feel that we have been lied to or led down the garden path today, we could virtually rip them a new one. Even with slight indications of deceit or deception, we can read someone the riot act. The energy is so intense today that people can be popping off without a moment’s notice. This is a day for defensive driving, slowing things down and not accepting anything at face value. Remember the metronome and let’s try to maintain a sense of balance. Otherwise, the swings today can be extreme and can continue into tomorrow.

Saturday, June 8th – Static, Dissonance, Staccato – Gemini New Moon, Sun, Mercury, T-Square, Uranus. Saturday has the Gemini New Moon and Mercury’s trigger of the Cardinal Sign T-Square with Mercury opposed Pluto yesterday and Mercury square Uranus today. The Mercury square Uranus is my least favorite energy pattern during which to fly, and I try to avoid flying during this time. And this pattern is intensified by means of the Mercury opposed Pluto yesterday. Communications can be off and there can be various computer glitches operating today. This New Moon configuration, which impacts the next two weeks, has both the Water Grand Trine, thanks to yesterday’s Venus trigger of the Grand Trine, and the Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Mercury trigger. We may want to maintain social decorum, present ourselves in the best light, and look favorably at the events and prospects in front of us. If we see any static, dissonance or staccato movements and actions, we are likely to read people the riot act and give them not only a piece of our mind but a volley of rapidly cascading ideas and thoughts, many of which may slice to the bone. We can be all over the place with this energy, and unfortunately where we are and where we are going may be more an abstract than a hard core recognition of what is truly going on. These can be confusing times, but also times when the veneer could be stripped away to see what the basic fundamentals really are. If we avoid getting swept up by our emotions and our desire to see only perfection in an imperfect world, then we may be incredibly incisive, attentive and to the point. We do need to recognize that changeability can be increased with things shifting and changing quickly and dramatically. We’ll need to be nimble and quick, keep a lid on our temper, be flexible and adaptable, and maintain a calm outer presence as we cut to the core.

Sunday, June 9th – Catching Our Breath – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Lunar Grand Trine, Neptune, Saturn. The early morning has the Moon in Gemini conjunct Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for close to eight hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer, where today the Moon creates the Water Sign Grand Trine with the Moon trine Neptune in Pisces and the Moon trine Saturn in Scorpio. After the past two days that could have been rollicking and rolling, this Sunday may be a day for us to catch our breath. There is some pleasant energy today to hang out, stay home, or get down to the beach or out in the park or into the country. We may not want to do a whole lot today except recharge, renew and reinvigorate. And why not? It’s Sunday and this passing week has given us a sense of June’s dichotomy with the Grand Trine and the T-Square playing back and forth. In the process, we might have felt uplifted to nirvana and then body slammed to the mat. Life has its ups and downs, with extreme metronome action between the two. Life, you’ve got to love it.
