Influenced by this past weekend’s Gemini New Moon and its boisterous intensities, this week continues the roller coaster ride of ups and downs. We may want to stay home and embrace the sanctuary of our own private world or seek solace in family and extended family members.
The days prior to this week could have had us a little bit beaten up. People may have read us the riot act, but we might have questioned where they especially ever got the chutzpah to dress someone else down. Communications could have been severe with people jumping to conclusions and operating from their fear base rather than empirical truth.
These times seem to beckon the words of Kahlil Gibran:
“I have found both freedom and safety in my madness; the freedom of loneliness and the safety from being understood, for those who understand us enslave something in us.”
There are times for many of us recently where we might have felt that we had entered an insane asylum, with people operating from their own perceptions, often misperceptions, and communicating truths more likely to be only illusions and delusions.
Everything is speeding up and ever more so now with the strong emphasis on the Mutable Signs with the Stellium of three planets in Gemini square by Sign Neptune in Pisces. The more we can put the brakes on, slow things down, evaluate and re-evaluate; the less likely we are to crash headlong into strange realities or bizarre unrealities.
We may want to ask ‘what is going on?’, but too proud to ask the question. Even if we dare ask it, we might not get a straight or clear answer.
To some degree, the trickster is afoot. The cleaned-up term ‘disinformation’ for lying seems appropriate to describe these times. We may not know whether we are coming and going, just that we are in movement with occasional rapid acceleration.
We may not only be dancing with the trickster. We could also find this week that people are like Jekyll and Hyde. One moment they may be serene, pleasant, friendly and accommodating, the next moment argumentative, flailing about and uncompromising. What a wacky world! What a wacky week! What a wacky month! But keep in mind that we are dealing with the paradox of having the Water Element Grand Trine and the Cardinal Sign T-Square caroming off one another.
We are also dealing with our long Void-of-Course Moons this week. Times can be tornado-like only to shift suddenly to stagnation and very little movement.
The latter part of the week we might seek some outlet in entertainment, and anything to get us out of our daily situation that seems to ratchet up in increasing weirdness.
The weekend is a time when we might want to concentrate on taking care of all the little details that might have gotten lost in the whirlwind of emotion and intensity earlier in the week and last week. The devil may be in the details, but the weekend allows us to engage Emily Dickinson’s belief: “if you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves.”
Monday, June 10th – Closing a Door, Opening a Window – Venus, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday starts the week with the Cancer Moon conjunct both Venus and Mercury and the Moon triggering the Uranus Pluto square with the Moon creating a Lunar T-Square as the Cancer Moon opposes Pluto and the Moon squares Uranus. The Moon late in the day goes Void-of-Course for over thirty-one and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo late on Tuesday, early Wednesday. We might choose to spend more time at home, under the covers, rather than stepping out into the world today. We could subconsciously make ourselves late for whatever we are scheduled to do. We might feel that going out into the world is like entering the fray, with obstacles, impediments and crazy-making behavior to contend with. The more we can draw upon the sanctity of our home, the comfort of family and friends and the strength of our inner being, the better we can handle some of the unexpected situations that might arise. This is a day for us not to personalize anything that is going on, much less try to make sense of what seems to be transpiring. Today is a day for us to grin and bear it with a slight bemusement at the foibles of humankind. We may have to twist and turn today, be nimble and quick, but the energy does die down and we can use the evening for a nice long soak in a hot tub.
Tuesday, June 11th – Possibilities and Realities – Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Neptune, T-Square, Venus, Pluto. Tuesday continues with the Moon Void-of-Course that began yesterday and continues through today as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer without making any further connections to the planets. Late today, early Wednesday, the Moon exits Cancer to enter Leo. But today things are quiet, but only seemingly so. This Tuesday has Saturn trine Neptune. The Grand Trine of the Cancer-transiting planets trine Saturn in Scorpio and trine Neptune in Pisces is countered by the T-Square of the Cancer-transiting planets opposed Pluto and square Uranus. And Tuesday has the feel of both the Grand Trine and the T-Square. While Saturn trines Neptune today, Venus triggers the T-Square with Venus opposed Pluto today and Venus square Uranus tomorrow. We might choose to reflect on what we can do, where we can go, and various future possibilities. At the same time, our sense of disappointment with someone or some people could have us deciding to pull their names from our contact list. Relationships can be dicey today and tomorrow. We might feel that people have not stood by us or that they have harmed us. It doesn’t matter whether intentional or unintentional, the result could be the same. We may recognize that some people significant to us in the past no longer have relevancy in our present, much less our future. We could take some alone time, reflect on what we want to do and even devise a best practices approach to get from where we are to where we want to go. This is a day when vision and foresight can be harnessed to a well-devised strategy and methodology. We may feel somewhat alone, but we don’t have to feel lonely.
Wednesday, June 12th – Standing in Our Truth – Saturn, Mars, T-Square, Venus, Uranus. Wednesday has the Moon in Leo square Saturn and the Moon sextile Mars. The T-Square triggered yesterday by Venus opposed Pluto continues with Venus square Uranus today. We may feel put upon by other people’s needs or demands, but we are also stronger in ourselves. John Donne may have written ‘no man is an island, entire of itself’, but today we can stand alone and stand in our truth. Unexpected situations can block some of our intended plans today, but we have the self-confidence and the will to push past any impediments. We do need to keep track of our expenses. We could be so focused on making a statement, our statement, that we disregard the costs involved. We may want to move our interests ahead, paint them in a creative and dramatic manner, but it would be wise to keep in mind that garish doesn’t mean tasteful.
Thursday, June 13th – Making Our Case – Uranus, Sun. Thursday is one of the nicer days of this week. The Moon in Leo trines Uranus and the Moon sextiles the Sun. Even if we have had people or incidents tripping us up over the past few days, today allows us to thread the needle. Not only are we feeling more upbeat and less put upon. We are also involving innovative ways of doing things, considering options and alternatives for ourselves. We may have a wide scope from which to draw. Let’s choose those situations that impassion us and situations that are streamlined. We do not have to work harder. We can work smarter, and the smart thing today is to engage those activities that intrigue us, make us feel good about ourselves and what we are doing, and allow us an element of autonomy whereby we can do what we want in the way that we want to do it. We do not have to play by the playbook, but rather can develop some fascinating new interests and accomplish them in the most expeditious ways.
Friday, June 14th – Spirit in Action – Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune. Friday is a day when we might awaken with optimism and confidence. The day begins with the Leo Moon sextile Jupiter. Whether we hear it from someone else or from our own inner voice, we can feel good about what we plan to do. With enthusiasm and exuberance, we start the day on a high note. Things may percolate for a while, and we might just enjoy our feel good disposition. After awhile, we can then put spirit into action. The Moon moves into Virgo, where today the Moon sextiles Saturn and the Moon opposes Neptune. If we will focus on the foundation first and the vision second, then we can create a solid basis from which to attend to the specifics of our plans. Things may have to shift and change as we progress, but that’s life. It is far better that we start with format first, since if we go merely on the visionary level to begin with, we could create castles in the air which would be hard to realize in manifestation on the earth plane. This is a day when we can get things done, but it would be better achieved by taking things step by step rather than leapfrogging ahead.
Saturday, June 15th – Slow Down, You Move Too Fast – Mars, Pluto, Venus. Today, the Moon in Virgo squares Mars, the Moon trines Pluto and the Moon sextiles Venus. We may have a lot on our ‘to do’ list this Saturday, but it would be wise for us to slow things down and take things in an orderly manner. Our compunction might be to race through our errands, skip over the details and gloss over our projects, winding us up with some shoddy results. While we might want to get a great deal done on this Saturday, it would be wise for us to prioritize and focus on the most important items to accomplish. If we do not get caught up in trying to do everything at once, we might realize that we are able to cut to the core, eliminate the superfluous, get done what needs to be done and present our results in a most appealing format. Social interactions can be productive, especially if we focus on those interactions that not only serve a purpose but also allow us to enjoy the exchanges with those special people in our lives.
Sunday, June 16th – Hallmark Holiday – Mercury, Sun, Jupiter. Sunday is Father’s Day. This is a day when we honor our fathers. The Moon in Virgo today sextiles Mercury and the Moon squares both the Sun and Jupiter. We may have a good feeling about our interactions with the male figures in our lives. It certainly is what is expected on this Hallmark Holiday. Of course, expectation and reality don’t often mesh, and that could prove to be an issue today. While most, if not all, present-day cultures favor the patriarchy, there is a greater questioning as to the solidity, reliability and effectiveness of the male-dominated world. And there could lie the rub today. We may do the obligatory today, but we could also be critiquing, even criticizing, some of the role modeling that has gone on. Let’s keep in mind that each of us, no matter whether male or female, has both components within our being. The battle of the sexes is often an internal battle of trying to balance our masculine aspects with our feminine aspects. In our thoughts and discussions, we might try to figure out the imbalances in our own lives, some of which we have engendered as a result of our early conditioning and learned response patterns. This could be a day when we do some real soul searching and question whether we are establishing a balance within ourselves or whether we have bought into the stereotypes of the uber-macho or the ultra-delicate feminine. This may be a Hallmark Holiday, but it can also trigger some probing internal questionings.
