Hot enough for you? I’m not referring to the weather but rather to people’s temperament and disposition. We have a Stellium of three or more planets in Aries with the Sun, Venus, Mars and Uranus all in the Cardinal Fire Sign. The focus of many people may strongly be self-involved even to the point of being narcissistic.
This week could be an explosive week with tendencies towards impulsiveness and belligerence. We have the Libra Full Moon and the Aries-transiting planets starting to square Pluto in Capricorn. This is a week when people may decide to take no prisoners but rather to force their hand, push aggressively forward and with little consideration of the impacts on other people. People may play nice but only as long as it serves their advantage.
The beginning of the week may have us with nose to grindstone dealing with our responsibilities and focusing on how we can most effectively deal with the tasks at hand. Our thoughts can be distracted as we think of all the places we could be and all the things that we could be doing. For some people, this is a time of the Spring break, and everyone whether they take off or not, may be looking for a break from routine, no matter how much our normal obligations are demanding of us.
We are certainly more interested in things beyond our daily experience this week, and we could easily gloss over those matters that we have to attend to.
The energy ratchets up mid-week, and we might have to be truly skilled at slaloming around obstacles. These obstacles can be various situations, people and unexpected incidents that arise in our path and force us to adeptly navigate around them.
The latter part of the week can be pleasant as long as we are doing our thing, able to pursue new interests and acting spontaneously.
The weekend could have us far more interested in getting out of Dodge, but we may also have to deal with certain commitments made days, weeks, even months ago.
This week is a definite high energy week, and a week when we may need to be nimble and quick in order to avoid any landmines blowing up in our face.
Monday, March 25th – Here and Afar – Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. They say ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions.’ We might not be on the road to hell today, but we are certainly interested in being on the road. Road trip! The day begins with the Moon in Virgo creating a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon opposes Mercury and the Moon squares Jupiter. The Moon also sextiles Saturn and trines Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost thirty-three hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Virgo and before entering Libra later tomorrow. We may have all sorts of ideas and plans for this day, but none of them are likely to be well-considered or fully flushed out. On the contrary, we might feel the push pulls of what we want to do and what we are scheduled to do. Even if we do attend to our daily responsibilities, we might do so in a half-hearted manner. We might not be thinking clearly today, easily distracted. This is a day for us to work in spurts of time, concentrating briefly on our projects but once our energy flags to then change our focus and shift our attention.
Tuesday, March 26th – Banging and Crashing About – Mars, Jupiter, Pluto. Tuesday could prove to be one intense day. Mars transiting Aries has already triggered the square between Uranus and Pluto by conjuncting Uranus last Friday. Today, Mars squares Pluto and Mars sextiles Jupiter. If we get something in our head today, nothing is likely to stop us from pursuing it. We may crash into walls or be blocked by various obstacles, but nothing is likely to stop our desire to move ahead. The liability to pushing forward no matter what the empirical evidence might suggest to the contrary cannot be discounted. This is one of those days when our self-interests can get the better of us. We may want what we want with no consideration of what it takes to reach our desires. This Tuesday can have us banging and crashing about and is a day when we might want to face the world, or more likely take on the world, with kneepads and elbow pads attached. Sparks can fly and the energy ratchet up quickly. On this Tuesday and Wednesday we could hear about earthquake activity and volcanic eruptions. And it could prove a deadly day for bomb blasts and explosions.
Wednesday, March 27th – You and I – Libra Full Moon, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Sun, Uranus, Pluto, Mars, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. This Wednesday could pit our personal interests against those of someone close to us. The Libra Full Moon today has the Moon opposed all four transiting Aries planets of Venus, the Sun, Uranus and Mars. The Moon also triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Pluto. The saving grace today is the Moon trine Jupiter. If we can keep conversations light and airy, maintain an interest in other people’s activities, then we can go a long way to avoiding a standoff with someone that might have no winners, only losers. While we might want to prove ourselves to other people, it would be wise for us to consider the standards of measurement and not be swayed by our personal ambitions without gaining the support of other people. We could easily go to extremes to win our points today and such extremes could unleash a torrent of backlash. This is a day for us to realize that our emotions and feelings are ratcheted up significantly and not allow our actions to go to extremes. After a rollicking morning that could prove contentious, the energy dies down significantly as the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over thirty and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Libra and before entering Scorpio late on Thursday, early Friday.
Thursday, March 28th – A Parade of One – Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Saturn, Sun, Venus, Uranus. We may be off on our own exploratory trek today, whether we trek physically or do so in our mental meanderings. Not that our thought processes are meandering. On the contrary, we can be extremely focused, figuring out how we can enlist greater autonomy and freedom of movement in our activities. Thursday continues with the Moon Void-of-Course making no connections to the planets today as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before entering Scorpio late today, early Friday. While there is not much Moon activity going on today, we do have Mercury trine Saturn and a great deal of activity with the Aries transiting planets as the Sun conjuncts both Venus and Uranus and Venus conjuncts Uranus. We are not so interested in what is going on with other people. We want to march to our own drummer, take the path less traveled and investigate new possibilities of who we are and new directions for what we are doing. This Thursday can be a truly exciting day but a day far better served by forgetting our schedule and instead by being open to the spontaneous and impulsive responses to surprising opportunities. Magic today is not only in the air but could prove to be all around us. This is a day for us to embrace the saying: ‘if you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans’. Plans may not work out as intended, for the opportunities today lie in serendipity and synchronicity.
Friday, March 29th – Culling the Extraneous – Neptune, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. After yesterday with its likelihood of various surprises, Friday is a day when we can sort through our various experiences and our ideas for new directions. Mercury squares Jupiter today, and we might still want to engage all sorts of activities and broaden the palette of our involvements. While we can consider a kaleidoscope of projects and interests to develop for ourselves, this day also allows us to determine those activities that have true meaning for us and those activities that might only be useful to fill up unscheduled time. Unscheduled time?! Who in this twenty-first century has unscheduled time, free time that allows us to do things on the whim of the moment? Most of us live lives of chock-a-block involvements, and free time seems like some illusory quality we all tend to pine for. Although Mercury squares Jupiter today, Mercury also sextiles Pluto, allowing us to sift and cull the extraneous from our prospective ‘to do’ list. The Scorpio Moon today can also help us to focus, concentrate and determine what involvements serve us best. Today, the Scorpio Moon trines Neptune, the Moon conjuncts Saturn, the Moon sextiles Pluto and the Moon trines Mercury. While we might prefer to do it all and have it all, we can hone our list of activities down to a select few without overloading ourselves or overwhelming ourselves. We can pick and choose today and keep in mind the recognition that if we allow ourselves some ‘free’ time amidst our schedule of events, the universe can always step in to provide some surprising new opportunities for us to engage. As we know from the wisdom teachings, the universe does not like a vacuum and will always find ways to fill up the space. Towards the latter part of the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost thirty-one hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius late tomorrow, early Sunday. After a highly active few days, the energy dies down.
Saturday, March 30th – Making Room, Catching Our Breath – Moon Void-of-Course. After a fairly hectic week, the energy slows down considerably on Saturday. The Moon is transiting Scorpio but still Void-of-Course with the Moon making no connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius late on Saturday, early Sunday. This is a day when we can take some time, consider what has gone on during the week and try and figure out what is what. A good Spring housecleaning could be in order and not merely our physical domicile. We can use this day to reflect on some of the new ideas and prospects that might have developed recently, all the while that we are considering what can be eliminated from our lives. This is Easter weekend, and we might be preparing for some fun gatherings tomorrow with family and friends. Yes, tomorrow can have us back on the fast track, as we may have been for much of this past week, so let’s use this day to take some time for a ‘time out’, make room for our new Springtime activities and catch our breath for the next go-round of hectic activity.
Sunday, March 31st – The Easter Parade – Neptune, Uranus, Sun, Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Pluto. This Sunday has a great deal of energy, much of it paradoxical, with some energies very good, others not so good and even downright intense. The Sagittarius Moon today trines Uranus, trines the Sun and trines Venus. The Moon also triggers a Mutable Sign T-square with the Moon square both Neptune and Mercury in Pisces and the Moon opposed Jupiter. Venus sextiles Jupiter, but both Venus and the Sun square Pluto. This can be a push-pull day between what we have committed to do and what we wish to do. The winner in this push-pull may be our obligations and responsibilities with us feeling as though our wings are being clipped. While we would far prefer to be acting spontaneously and doing whatever grabs our attention in the moment, we may find that our actions are limited by scheduled events and what is expected of us. If we do not have room to breathe and feel instead restricted by our planned involvements, we could be very unhappy, champing at the bit or liable even to create dissensions and discord in those situations that are required of us. People may be in their Easter finery, putting on the Ritz and highstepping to show themselves off and to be seen, but we would prefer to have none of it. This is a day when people could get downright ornery if they feel unable to do their own thing. The best way to work this day is to attend to what we have agreed to but doing so in brief encounters, and then moving on to our next social obligation and eventually able to do what we want to do on this Sunday.
