This week begins with the howl of the Full Moon. Not only can our emotions be all over the place. We may find ourselves darting from one thing to another, glossing over situations, misreading signals and always willing to play the blame game. The tendency to be all things to all people can make us seem very chameleon-like, and we might wonder who we are and what we are doing.
Clarity may be far from flawless this week, and our imaginations can run rampant if allowed to run wild. As the classic Buffalo Springfield song “For What it’s Worth” cautions us:
“Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you’re always afraid…”
This is a week for us to keep a tight rein on our emotions, our feelings, our imaginations and to avoid taking things personally. It would be important for us to maintain awareness and exercise mindfulness, whereby we don’t accept as fact those hunches, rumors or other fluff that might seem to be flying around.
We could be looking over our shoulder, questioning other people’s intentions and continually feeling victimized or taken advantage of. Let’s not go there.
While we are in the dead of winter, we could best use this week to slow things down and focus more on clearing out the outmoded, the outworn and the carcasses of past situations. Let’s suspend judgment on things that are happening now. We could buy into scenarios that have little basis in fact and that gain credence only by the gossipy suggestions being passed around.
If the weather conditions call for precipitation, it can come down in bucket loads. And while the atmosphere may be ripe for heavy doses of moisture, so too are our feelings, our moods and our emotions. Our attitude and disposition can shift in a nanosecond. We could go from happy to hurt quickly and with the tiniest provocation or assumed slight.
We may be trying to figure things out with a special someone during the mid-week period. Unfortunately, our figuring out could also incite a suspicion as to whether that someone is telling us what we want to hear or what we need to hear. Yes, paranoia strikes deep.
The end of the week and the weekend seem a great deal more focused. We might want some alone time in order to clean up our acts, clear out the clutter both in our environments and more significantly in our minds. The weekend may be a good time to deal with old involvements, cut to the core and see what is truly essential for our lives and what merely holds us back. Towards the end of the weekend, the skies can brighten, and we may feel far more upbeat, even to the point of wondering how we had fallen so deeply down a hole earlier in the week.
We call it life.
Monday, February 25th – The Call of the Wild – Virgo Full Moon, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Sun, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Venus Pisces. Monday starts the week with the energy ramped up to the max and then some. We can be driven by our emotions and run fast and furious from one thing to another but without much clarity as to where we are going and why we are heading there. Monday has the Virgo Full Moon and with it a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed the Sun and Neptune, and the Moon and Sun both square Jupiter. This is a day when we might try to do it all, and none of it done well. On the contrary, we can be trying to do too much and could even operate from wrong information. It would be wise for us to slow things down, for in deed we could prove the truth to the idiom ‘haste makes waste’. Not only could we waste our time, we could also waste our monies, our energy and our enthusiasm. The key to this day is to use braking action to start the day, slow things down and to reduce our sense of pressure to do all things and all at once. Late in the day, the Moon trines Pluto and the Moon sextiles Saturn. We can get a better grip on things, utilize due diligence and be far more strategic in our planning and in our operations. But if we start the day like a whirling dervish out of control, then we might speed along and wreak havoc as we go. We may feel impelled to be fast out of the starting gate on this Monday, but any fast and furious approach could prove disastrous. Monday also has Venus exiting Aquarius to enter Pisces adding to the Stellium of three or more planets in the Mutable Water Sign as Venus joins Neptune, the Sun, Mercury and Mars in Pisces. Water, water everywhere! We just have to avoid being soaked by atmospheric precipitations, maudlin sentimentality, and being so impressive to the circumstances around us that our emotions drive our actions. Awareness and mindfulness are key, and let’s avoid being influenced by our moods.
Tuesday, February 26th – What It Is, Or Isn’t – Mercury, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday can be an interesting day when we engage brain and brawn. Where a problem arises is what our brain and brawn engage. This day has Mercury conjunct Mars and the Moon opposed Mercury and the Moon opposed Mars. We may be adamant in our position and no reasoning to the contrary could prove otherwise. Not that we are necessarily intending to do our own Custer’s last stand, but we could go off in wrong directions certain in our belief and determined to put our all behind our intentions. This Tuesday is a day when we can start off on some quixotic journey, tilting at windmills that we assume to be our fearless adversaries, presenting our points of view with the most convoluted reasoning and employing our plans with relentless persistence. Can we refer to this day as a liability to a crash and burn? Possibly so, for we might not heed the suggestions, input or critique of other people who might have a more objective and detached perspective. Once we get something into our head today as far as what we feel we should do or want to do, there may be no stopping us. Hopefully, we won’t be like lemmings racing for the cliffs, but our inability to take off blinders and consider the conditions around us could be fraught with problems and bone-headed actions. Let’s strategize and plan today, but let’s also be sure to evaluate and re-evaluate before we forge ahead without looking back or looking clearly ahead and to our sides. Fortunately, and such an energy configuration is not usually considered fortunate, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost nineteen hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Virgo and before entering Libra tomorrow. The energy dies down, which today is a good thing, for it helps to take some of the air out of our hot air insistence.
Wednesday, February 27th – With a Little Help From My Friends – Uranus, Jupiter. Wednesday has the Moon moving into Libra where today the Moon opposes Uranus and the Moon trines Jupiter. Whether we have totally wreaked havoc over the past two days or not, this day may provide welcome relief. Someone could step up to the plate and provide a good sounding board for us, even if they use the board to bang it over our heads. We may have a wakeup call today. While some of our desire to be a law unto ourselves and do our own thing may be dampened, the impediments thrown in our way could actually be benefits. Someone can assist us from continuing the error of our ways. We might not like to have someone else put the braking action on our plans, but it could prove for our own good. We can see that we were operating solely from our personal drive with little regard for other people or scant notice of the circumstances around us. As the day progresses, we may feel far more upbeat. Even if we have taken a u-turn in our decisions and in our actions, and possibly with some irritation, we may see the wisdom in the input of others and the willingness of someone to defy our wishes to make us see things more clearly. Not everyone will approve of our plans and those that don’t may be more worthy friends than those that are just willing to go along with some of our intentions, even if those intentions seem so strongly bone-headed to everyone else. This is a day when we can get a little help from our friends. Initially, we might not appreciate the braking action to our movements, but later in the day we are likely to feel far more grateful for their intrusion.
Thursday, February 28th – La La La La Means I Love You – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Neptune. Back in the late 1960’s, the Delfonics had a hit record with ‘La La Means I Love You’. This Thursday seems very much akin to the sentiment of the song and the song title. Today, the Libra Moon squares Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost thirty-three hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before entering Scorpio tomorrow. Thursday also has Venus conjunct Neptune. We have to be wary of grand illusions today. Someone might present a wonderful package, appearances and images that cannot be beat. We could be easily seduced by what we see. But what we see may not be what we get. This is a day when we have to be wary of the trickster, someone appearing one way, the reality being totally different. We might feel that a connection with someone today is serendipitous, karmic, meant to be. We could see all the sterling qualities of the individual, but what we see could be the outer coating and the potential and the possibilities and not the reality of the situation. Today is a day for us to stay grounded, firm within ourselves and not be enticed or seduced by presentations that seem too good to be true. As each of us through our life experiences may have come to realize, more often than not those things that seem too good to be true are… too good to be true. Let’s enjoy the wonderland of what could be, the idyllic feelings and the potentials of any situation. We may have our head in the clouds but let’s keep our feet firmly planted on the ground.
Friday, March 1st – The Lion Roars – Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Venus, Sun, Pluto, Saturn. Friday is the first day of March and the characterization of March is that it comes in like a lion and goes out as a lamb. This day and much of the weekend can be the primo period of this week. Even if we have been meandering about, crashing over here, banging our head over there, during the earlier part of the week; this Friday and the weekend allow us to sort things out. We are far more focused, perhaps have the lion’s heart, and are far less swayed by our emotions. Not that our emotions have dampened. We just might have gotten a few thorns in our paws earlier in the week and decided to extract the thorns that may have been slowing us down and impeding our progress. Although the day begins with the Void-of-Course Moon finishing its transit of Libra, as the Moon moves into Scorpio, the Moon trines Neptune and the Moon trines Venus. Even if we had the wool pulled over our eyes yesterday or over the preceding days with some of the wool pulling being by our own hands, today provides far greater clarity to the people and conditions around us. This is a day when we can cut to the core, focus on the most meaningful aspects of our lives, and concentrate on a best practices approach to get done what needs to get done. Friday also has the Sun sextile Pluto and the Sun trine Saturn. We are looking to be more effective with less expenditure of energy and to place our energy where it will do the most good in advancing our interests. We can be highly productive today, for not only are we clearer in our intent. Our determination to get things done and to do so with the least amount of interference allows us to streamline our operations and achieve significant results.
Saturday, March 2nd – Cleaning Up, Clearing Out – Pluto, Saturn, Sun, Mercury. The second wind that we might have garnered yesterday as we stepped across the threshold from February into March continues on this Saturday. The Scorpio Moon today sextiles Pluto, the Moon conjuncts Saturn and the Moon trines both the Sun and Mercury. This is a good day for a pre-Spring cleaning. We might not want to clean up and clear out, but today is a good day to attend to outstanding matters, bring unresolved issues to closure and deal with necessary errands. If we don’t whine about using our weekend for tidying up and straightening out, then we can get a great deal done. Let’s keep in mind the old saying that ‘a cup needs to be emptied before it can be filled’. The more we get rid off stuff now, the more room we shall have to incorporate new events, situations and scenarios as we embrace the renaissance of Spring a few weeks hence. And we are likely to feel lighter as we disencumber ourselves. As English author G.K. Chesterton wrote: ‘Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly.’
Sunday, March 3rd – Catching Up With the Rest – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune. Sunday begins with the Scorpio Moon trine Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twelve hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius where late in the day, early Monday morning the Moon squares Neptune. We might be doing stuff, clearing, cleaning into the late hours of Saturday, early Sunday. The more we can get out of the way, the less loose threads we shall have to tie us up in the future. We are living during volatile times with spikes of high energy, other times of virtually no energy. This Sunday is a good day for us to catch up on our rest, take some time in the comfort of our homes, to sleep or hang out. We may not want to overly exert ourselves today, especially after a wild and wooly week. On the contrary, we might prefer to catch our breath and take a time out from the hectic nature of life on the earth plane. Although we have been engrained with the Protestant work ethic whereby we feel that we have to be constantly active and doing something, anything, even to the point of creating busy work for ourselves; today is a day to take a time out. We need not worry about stepping off the track for one day. Tomorrow, we shall be back at it, going a mile a minute and back on the volatile roller coaster of times of highest intensity, other times of low energy. Let’s use the low energy days to recharge, re-invigorate and refresh ourselves for those fast and furious days.
