This week we could feel a little discombobulated. Maybe it’s because this is the first full week of daylight savings time in most of the US. OR, perhaps it’s the fact that Mercury is turning retrograde at the beginning of the week and will be retrograde for the next three weeks plus.
Yup, we’re back in Murphy’s Law terrain, whereby ‘whatever can go wrong could’.
Early on Monday, Mercury turns retrograde and is retrograde through the rest of the month and until April 4th. We all know what that means. Communications can be off, misunderstandings rampant and things getting bollixed in the works.
With Mercury retrograding through Aries, and virtually on top of transiting Uranus, our thoughts can be self-focused and may revolve primarily around how we see the world and how we want to see the world. Oh, yes, we may get some startling insights, but we could also be champing at the bit to incorporate change into our lives. If we could morph into anyone we would want to be, we would likely do so at the snap of our fingers. We want to be free to do whatever we want. We want autonomy and independence, and this week can certainly see some strong elements of people acting out.
We might be too nonchalant about factors beyond our control and beyond our personal realm, thereby missing salient points and contributing to a ‘my way or the highway’ type of attitude.
Although Mercury retrograde and Mercury conjunct Uranus can have us trying out new ways of being, exploring all sorts of possibilities, we could also be incredibly productive this week.
The Earth Grand Trine [manifestation!] that has been influential since last November is strongly triggered this week and especially on Tuesday and Wednesday with this Grand Trine in exact aspect and its impact significantly ratcheted up.
If we don’t waste our energies on embracing narcissism and petulance, we could engage innovative approaches and streamlined means to accomplish our goals.
The paradox of the week — Do we fly off the handle and be a rebel without a cause? Or do we harness our energies and virtually move mountains, and not by our brawn but by our brain and by thinking outside the box? Like all of life, the choice is ours. Either we go with the energies and work with them to our benefit or we can just act out, bang the drum loudly but like a tree falling in an uninhabited forest, one must wonder: who will hear our commotion?
We may have to go back over certain things this week, complete unresolved matters, tie up loose ends. In so doing, we can clear the decks and make space for explorations of new interests and possible new involvements.
While there can be delays, people being somewhat dysfunctional and possible communication problems and computer glitches, we can be highly effective and solidly productive this week. We just have to take things one step at a time, evaluate and re-evaluate as we go along and be certain that we are maintaining detachment and an objective perspective to all that we are doing.
The weekend may be time to get together with friends, enjoy the company of others and do some interesting things. We may have accomplished a great deal over the week and we might be looking to get off the track and just enjoy ourselves over the weekend. By taking some down time, we might also get some startling insights, even revelations, regarding how we can best proceed and which projects to actively pursue.
This week, the sense of serendipity could be strong and the nudge of change as a natural unfolding of conditions might be felt. Let’s keep in mind that during these times we do not have to make things happen as much as being in the right place at the right time and allowing ourselves to receive new opportunities and unexpected situations to arise.
Monday, March 12th – The Luck of the Irish, Murphy – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury Retrograde. It might not quite be Saint Patty’s Day, but there could be a wee bit of the Irish in each of us now. This Monday has the Scorpio Moon trine the Sun before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for twelve and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius. We may be in full gear to start the day but our itinerary and direction might be askew. This Monday also begins with Mercury turning retrograde and within orb of a conjunction to Uranus. Whatever we do today, we might feel as though curve balls are being thrown at us. Plans can go awry, our communications can be off and trying to get from here to there, whether physically or verbally, might be a never-ending maze. Yes, Murphy’s Law is in effect whereby ‘whatever could go wrong can’. This is a day for us to take things slow, have very little expectation and recognize that things could take longer than we might like and then might still have to be reworked. High technology could present some problems and we might feel as though our computers have become masters of our domain with us being but willing subjects to their efficiency and increased productivity, just as long as they are functional and work according to their promise. And that’s where the rub could come in. Computers and high technology today could be a little iffy. Let’s blame it on the solar flares.
Tuesday, March 13th – Focused or Diverted – Earth Grand Trine, Jupiter, Venus, Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Mars. Tuesday and Wednesday this week could prove quite paradoxical. We could either be incredibly productive, getting a great deal done in a relatively short period of time, or diverted and distracted into needless and superfluous involvements. Our choice! On the one hand, today and tomorrow triggers the Earth Grand Trine with Venus and Jupiter in Taurus, Mars in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. Today, Venus and Jupiter trine Pluto. Tomorrow, the Earth Grand Trine is more exactly engaged. This energy configuration would allow us to be expeditious and effective in all that we do, able to virtually move mountains and certainly provide us the wherewithal to advance our interests. And we can do so if we maintain our focus and commit to our goals. The other hand, however, could have us dillydallying in extraneous activities and pointless interests. The Moon in Sagittarius trines Uranus but also creates a Mutable Sign T-Square, with the Sagittarius Moon square Neptune in Pisces and square Mars in Virgo. If we are willful and diverted into impulsiveness, we could take our eye off the ball of our plans and our long-term goals and become enmeshed in various distractions that serve no other purpose than immediate gratification. If we choose to go there, we could try to do too many things, all the while proving the truth to the statement that ‘haste makes waste’. The energy today is too powerful to let it go wasted due to our impetuousness. Let’s slow down, keep our eye on the ball and appreciate that the force is with us, if we choose to engage it.
Wednesday, March 14th – At the Top of Our Game – Earth Grand Trine, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Pluto, Sun. Wednesday is one powerful day, but the power lies not in our exertion but rather our catching the wave and riding it to the best of our abilities. This Wednesday continues some of yesterday’s energies, the Earth Grand Trine. Today the Earth Grand Trine is exact with Venus conjunct Jupiter in Taurus, Venus trine Mars and Mars in Virgo exactly trine Jupiter in Taurus and exactly trine Pluto in Capricorn. Should I write that ‘it doesn’t get better than this’? Grand Trines are like receiving something on a silver platter, gifts from the universe. Unfortunately, since Grand Trines provide things so easily, many people do not take advantage of the opportunities. It just comes too easily and especially when we have been conditioned into believing that this earth life journey is a ‘valley of tears’. Why go there? On the contrary, this day can be like greased wheels, whereby everything falls into place. The one clunker to the day is the Sagittarius Moon square the Sun in Pisces. If we have any problems with embracing the advantages this day offers, it will be primarily of our conditioning and some bizarre sense that we are not ‘worthy’, a subconscious complex of guilt and willingness to buy into a victim role. I ask again: why go there? If we would get out of our own way, focus our energies without either extreme of overconfidence or self-abnegation, then this day can be one when we are operating at the top of our game.
Thursday, March 15th – But Yet Another Chance – Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Mercury, Lunar Grand Trine, Mars, Pluto, Jupiter. One of the proverbs driven into me as a youngster was the old saying: ‘If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.’ That proverb certainly fits well this Thursday. After two spectacularly productive days, and fairly easy days with greased wheels gliding down the autobahn of our daily life, this Thursday continues with the influence of the Earth Grand Trine, thanks to the Moon entering Capricorn. We start this Thursday with the Moon finishing its transit of Sagittarius and the Moon sextile Saturn. Someone could prove a good sounding board, tempering our enthusiasm and objectively making us aware of a best practices approach to expanding our activities. The Moon then enters Capricorn where the Moon sextiles Neptune, squares both Mercury and Uranus and triggers the Earth Grand Trine by the Moon trine Mars, conjunct Pluto and trine Jupiter. We do have to watch a certain willfulness on our part. Things may have been fairly easy in accomplishing tasks, responsibilities and projects, but let’s avoid taking things for granted. We could easily assume a belief in being a law unto ourselves, doing whatever we wish, with the idea that it is all good and that everything we touch can turn into gold. Arrogance and assumptions could bring the house down, and we do have to restrain our self-focus. While we may want to do things our way, it would be wise to make sure that our way is the best way. Drawing upon other people’s advice and their objective opinion could go a long way to avoiding pitfalls, stumbling over ourselves and getting in our own way. This week can be a highly productive time, but we do need to keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde. We might assume that we know what is best and how best to approach things, but we could also have blinders on, see only what we want to see without taking into full account what is really going on.
Friday, March 16th – Icing on the Cake – Venus. Friday is the end of the workweek, and a week that could prove to be one of our most successful, at least if we have taken advantage of the positive energies and possibilities that may have presented themselves. Friday continues with the Capricorn Moon, which today trines Venus. Whatever we have been working on over the past few days, we can tie up loose ends, put pretty ribbons around them, and present our package in a most appealing manner. Our image is very together today, and we can back it up by the efforts made over the past few days. Yes, this Friday allows us to put the icing on the cake. If we have accomplished what we set out to do, and we could discover that we did more than we thought humanly possible, then this day also allows us to make contact and connections that could serve our ambitions well. Investments in makeovers and new equipment could be powerful supplements to our everyday operations. At the end of the day, we may be very appreciative of what we have gotten done and how far along we are in achieving our goals.
Saturday, March 17th – We’re all Irish Today – Sun, Saturn, Uranus, Mercury. When we’re riding the crest of the wave, it’s hard to disengage. That’s how we might feel on this Saturday morning. While this week may have proven to be a bona fide success as far as our achievements and what we have been able to accomplish, we might be looking to carry it on this Saturday. The day begins with the Moon in Capricorn sextile the Sun and square to Saturn. Although we might want to attend to some of our responsibilities and keep on riding the wave, someone might read us the riot act, suggest that we have become obsessed with our success and tell us to knock it off with a reference to the proverb that ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. Besides, someone might say to us that it’s Saint Patrick’s Day, a day to revel and celebrate the coming of the green. We might be slightly resistant and could insist on finishing up one or two tasks, and that could work for a short while. The Moon today moves into Aquarius, where the Moon sextiles Uranus and sextiles Mercury. As the day progresses, we become far more interested in having a good time, being with friends and celebrating. After all, today is Saint Patrick’s Day. We might feel that we have chased the snakes out of our own realm over the past few days, and now it’s time to celebrate. We are all Irish today, filled with good cheer and enjoying the camaraderie of good friends. We might even discuss some of our future plans with other people and give thought to where we are going, following a fairly successful time this past week.
Sunday, March 18th – Above and Beyond – Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Uranus. Too much of a good thing can be too much. Although yesterday might have had us shifting gears, changing our focus from due diligence of much of this past week to enjoying ourselves and having a good time, this Sunday could have us engaging in excess and indulgence. The Aquarius Moon today squares both Jupiter and Venus in Taurus. We also have Mercury conjunct Uranus. Today is a day where we may want what we want with little consideration, if any, as to what our desires might cost. We could go on a spending spree today. While we might get some terrific insights, we could also make assumptions that things will fit neatly into place just by our wishing them so. Talk about a prescription for disaster! We could also experience computer glitches today, problems with getting from here to there and unexpected situations arising that change our plans. Today is a day to be spontaneous but to also keep a check on our expenditures. Much of the focus of this past week could be lost in a flurry of wishes and desires and impulsive actions based on spontaneous decisions. Let’s go slow, take time to consider ramifications and even accept the implications of the law of unintended consequences.
