We may want to get a great deal done during this week, taking care of various activities, seeking out social involvements and engaging fun summertime activities.
This week is the last week of July, the first full week of the Sun’s transit of Leo and also the last week before Mercury turns retrograde for most of August.
The week begins with some interesting and exciting situations arising unexpectedly. We may have a great deal on our plate at the start of the week, but we are enjoying the variety and diversity of events that keep us going at full speed. We want to broaden our interests and expand beyond our normal parameters. The more we have going on, the more energized we shall be.
The mid-part of the week can have us making some changes around our home, streamlining our operations and adding some touches with finesse that enliven our base and show our sense of style.
The latter part of the week might have us getting tripped up by all the plans we have made and the many intentions to which we are committed. Some people can feel that we have gone overboard in following our heart and we could experience someone putting obstacles in our way. We do not have to get blocked or restricted by other people’s expectations or someone’s demands. On the contrary, any questions raised regarding our projects might provide a necessary whack on the side of our head and force us to evaluate and re-evaluate what we are doing and where we are going.
Towards the end of the week, we could have a tendency to follow dreams that are either illusory or downright delusional. If we would take the time to engage due diligence and see things from all the different angles, then we might prevent ourselves from going down the garden path and avoid greater problems for ourselves.
The weekend is geared for fun and fun big time. We are at the height of Summer, interested in experiencing new thrilling activities and enjoying recreational pursuits. It would be wise for us to keep our finances in mind and maintain a tight rein on our budget, since we could tend towards indulgence and excess not only over this weekend but over the next two weeks.
Monday, July 25th – The Problem with Fascinations – Venus, Mercury, Neptune, Sun, Uranus. Monday begins the week with our focus on our appearance. We want to look good. We want to feel good. The looking good is a lock since the Moon is finishing its transit of Taurus and does so with a sextile to Venus. We may have our style and image very well groomed as we begin this day and start the week. The Taurus Moon also squares Mercury, so we do need to be careful and not be too dramatic in regard to how we present ourselves. We could be a little fixated on what we want and how we want it. Unfortunately, we might not be fully aware of all the variables and with the Moon exiting Taurus to enter Gemini where it initially squares Neptune, we have to be very careful not to get obsessed with our own intentions. We might be like a horse with blinders, looking straight ahead, our perspective narrowed and unable to see with peripheral vision or from a broader perspective. Tunnel vision today could be extremely harmful, especially in light of the fact that the Gemini Moon then sextiles the Sun and sextiles Uranus. The true opportunities of this day lie beyond our normal parameters and may not be as much from our making as from things coming about unexpectedly. Once again, the universe asks us to let go our controlling mindset and be open to the magic and miracles of serendipity and synchronicity.
Tuesday, July 26th – Old Friends – Saturn. The Gemini Moon on this Tuesday trines Saturn. We are in a chatty mood today, and we might reach out and contact someone we haven’t spoken with for such a long time. Today is a good day for us to draw upon the advice of someone we trust, someone who can give us an objective viewpoint regarding our plans and our projects. By means of discussing our involvements with someone whom we admire and respect we can fine tune our activities and focus on what has true meaning for us. We might have had too many irons in the fire, some of which might have been wasting our time. Today is a day to hone, focus and consider the appropriate format and the right direction for our activities. We may want to shift and change some of our pursuits, and it would be smart of us to rely upon someone else’s detached perspective. If we have had an issue with someone that has been percolating for a while, the energy on this Tuesday would allow us to clear the air and resolve the issue. We do not need emotional drama or extraneous complications to muck up the works. These times call for us to be at the top of our game, vigilant and aware, and to focus on the truly important and not get taken down by the extraneous or ridiculous.
Wednesday, July 27th – New Sense of Being – Sun, Uranus, Mars, Mercury, Neptune. Wednesday is a day to embrace our sense of adventure. The Leo Sun trines Uranus in Aries. For much of the day, the Moon transits Gemini and today the Moon conjuncts Mars and sextiles Mercury. Later in the day, the Moon moves into Cancer where it trines Neptune. This is a day for us to stretch our wings and explore a new sense of ourselves. The more spontaneous we can be, even impulsive, the more likely we shall engage exciting new opportunities. If we fine tuned our plans and projects yesterday, then today allows us to go full speed ahead in new directions. We may be feeling energized and ready to take the world by storm. Certainly we are presenting ourselves in a passionate and creative manner. A fresh perspective can be very contagious, and we can discuss our options with great passion and great enthusiasm. This is a day for us to explore and investigate new options, consider new alternatives and step into unfamiliar terrain. Too much of a good thing could prove too much, so on this day it will be important for us not to overly commit or assume that some interests are not merely passing fancies. As the day progresses, the Moon exits Gemini to enter its own Sign of Cancer where it trines Neptune. After the hurly-burly of this exciting day, we might seek the comfort of home and recharge our batteries.
Thursday, July 28th – Changes, Nothing Stays the Same – Lunar Grand Cross, Uranus, Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Venus Leo, Mercury Virgo, Moon Void-of-Course. Yesterday, we might have had a thrust of energy that allowed us to explore and sample various activities. We may have even engaged a new sense of ourselves and might have done so by some form of personal makeover, whether to our appearance or to our projects. While we could have been going full throttle yesterday, today could have us experiencing some shoals or rocks in the way of our plans. This is a highly energetic day but one when we might feel like a ping pong ball, bouncing from one thing to another. The Cancer Moon today sextiles Jupiter but also creates a Cardinal Grand Cross with the Cancer Moon square Uranus in Aries, square Saturn in Libra and opposed Pluto in Capricorn. We could be all over the place on this Thursday with various push pulls going on. Change is in the air, but we might have difficulty pulling off some of the changes we would like to engage. Matters of the past still unresolved, other people’s demands or expectations, our own desire to take radical tangents to our day’s schedule; all these and more could have us all over the place, doing one thing, then another and still yet another. To add to the kaleidoscopic energies of this day, we also have two Sign shifts as Venus exits Cancer to enter Leo and Mercury exits Leo to enter it own Sign of Virgo. We are not interested in doing ‘same old, same old’ today. Our launch into new activities might be spurred on by a certain restlessness and desire for the new and different. We do have to avoid feeling that we can have it all without much effort on our part. This is a day to bob and weave, to allow for starts and stops along the way, and to engage due diligence to whatever activities present themselves for us to deal with. Late in the day and through all of Friday, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over thirty-one hours, making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo late on Friday, early Saturday.
Friday, July 29th – Intuitive Guidance or Misdirected Efforts – Mercury, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday is the dark side of the Moon, the day before tomorrow’s New Moon that truly speaks to new beginnings. This Friday has Mercury, which has just entered its own Sign of Virgo, opposed to Neptune, transiting its own Sign of Pisces. This is a day of either or. Either we can be incredibly intuitive, feeling like our inner voice is speaking loudly and clearly in regard to what we might pursue and how we can best accomplish our plans. Or we could find ourselves in a muddle, making assumptions that are groundless and basing our involvements on hopes and dreams without the necessary due diligence regarding the factors, direction and intention of our desires. Since both planets are in Mutable Signs, we have to be careful not to get carried away by momentary feelings or flashes of what seems the most appropriate. It would be far wiser for us to check and re-check as we go along today. It is essential that we maintain a healthy skepticism regarding anything presented to us. The snake oil salespeople may be in full force today, presenting wonderful scenarios, painting incredible pictures but all of which are more image and appearance rather than substance or true reality. Our emotions could get the better of us today, so let’s be certain to take our time to make any decisions or engage any actions. And time we might have, since the Moon today continues its Void-of-Course making no connections to the planets today as it finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo late tonight or early Saturday morning.
Saturday, July 30th – Kings and Queens – Venus, Uranus, Leo New Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Saturn. Today’s Leo Moon is a Lunation, the Leo New Moon. The Moon today conjuncts Venus, trines Uranus, conjuncts the Sun, squares Jupiter and sextiles Saturn. Putting its imprint on the next two weeks, this day kicks off a round of fun adventures, good times, plans for recreation and relaxation, and a general sense of hot times in the summertime. We may easily digress from the cares of the world, from the world at large and from our own personal issues. We are far more interested in enjoying ourselves and we might do so with little regard to the cost. And that attitude could prove the only problem during this time. We might engage our desires without any consideration of the cost involved. We want what we want. We want to enjoy ourselves and have a good time. We feel we deserve, especially in light of the fact that we might be feeling rather regal right now. Whether royalty or not, we are looking to lavish ourselves with the good things in life, no expense spared. We want to make a splash, appear to be the big spender and have a sense of being larger than life. Although Summer and summertime activities are at full tilt, it would be wise to keep a budget in mind. Let’s remember that ‘if we dance to the music, we pay to the piper.’
Sunday, July 31st – Lazy Days. Sunday continues with the Leo Moon, but the Moon makes no aspects today. Whatever we have planned for this Sunday, its key focus may be on our enjoyment. This is a day for us to fully engage the sense of summer, those ‘lazy, hazy days’, those wonderful summer moments of lazing around, drinking sweet tea or sucking down beers and just relaxing and enjoying ourselves. This Sunday is a good day for us to go to a splash down, sit around a pool or go to the beach. We are not looking for anything strenuous today, just enjoying the summertime heat and having a good old time. It would be wise for us to remember that Mercury is about to turn retrograde in two days, on the 2nd of August. This is the last full week before the Mercury retrograde, so if we have certain projects we want to complete or begin, it would be better to do so now than during the Mercury retrograde. Nonetheless, there is not a great deal of energy on this Sunday. We might look to be coasting through the day, still interested in trying out new things but all with the emphasis on our having a good time. Re-creation is a form of recharging our batteries and instilling us with some feel good tonic.
