Things may take longer than we like this week. Either we are not focused on what needs to be done, preferring to be distracted by enjoyable diversions, or we are making assumptions that might have very little basis in reality. This is a week when we need to decide where and when to play and where and when to work. If we do not plan out this week in accord with the energies, then we could float through this week without getting a whole lot done.
We begin the week in a playful attitude. We would far prefer fun events, getting together with friends and even reconnecting with people with whom we haven’t been in touch for a while. We want to put our best foot forward, but we might be more enamored with appearance than the due diligence of investigating what is really going on.
We could be enticed to get involved in projects that look good but have no real substance. We might easily be persuaded to spend more than would be appropriate. Our appetites could run us this week, and we might give into various indulgences.
‘Out with the old and in with the new’ could be a key phrase for our disposition this week. We may feel discontented with our lives as they have been and we might find escape valves very appealing.
Our hold on reality may not be the greatest, and it would be wise for us to take a go-slow attitude. Such an attitude will not be too difficult since we are also dealing with the Saturn retrograde slowing down, becoming stationary, before turning direct on Sunday.
Although things might take longer than we like, that could prove a blessing, especially in light of the fact that we have various fantasies in our heads and some possible delusions that we need to be careful to avoid.
We want changes and variety. This week is a good time to explore and test possibilities but all with a tentative approach.
Monday, June 6th – Something Special for that Special Someone – Saturn, Sun, Mars. Monday begins the week with the Moon in Leo sextile Saturn, sextile the Sun and square Mars. We are looking at making a good impression and are willing to go the extra mile in order to do so. We can present ourselves in a dramatic and compelling manner but also attentive to the needs and desires of that someone special in our lives. This can be a highly enjoyable day, for we are feeling upbeat, have the gift of the silver tongue and appear considerate with an affinity to other people’s interests. This day may be a time when we are preaching to the choir, finding the right audience and the right words to win our case. What we do have to watch for is a tendency to spend too much today. We want to put our best foot forward and that might include a personal makeover of our appearance or our wardrobe. We may assume that cost is of no concern but taking such an attitude might only create additional expenses that prove a financial burden. Let’s recognize that the warmth of our spirit and the interest in other people’s concerns will more than win the day for us today.
Tuesday, June 7th – What It is, What It isn’t – Mercury, Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune. The day begins with the Leo Moon square Venus. The Moon then moves into Virgo where it trines Jupiter and opposes Neptune. Mercury also trines Saturn. This Tuesday is a day when we need to keep our wits about us. There may be a great deal of conflicting information presented to us today, and it will be essential that we practice due diligence, not take anything at face value and read between the lines. While there has been a great deal of emphasis upon a so-called global economic recovery, various issues put a lie to such a belief. Continued high unemployment figures, the lack of creation of ‘real’ jobs, the concern about the Eurozone debt crises and the evident inflation in the basic costs for food, fuel and apparel all seem to create pinpricks to the balloon of confidence and optimism presented by government officials and financial spinmeisters. Not to be persuaded by the anxieties of these various problems, commentators and authorities today can give an authoritative and upbeat report on what is really going on. We have to be on our toes, aware and mindful to truly see what it is and what it isn’t. Fortunately, our mind is focused. We can cut through the miasma of authoritative projections and we have the ability to see the best means by which to accomplish our goals. We may feel thrown back upon our own resources, but we have the resources and skill set to deal with stripping away the appearance to get to the true reality. This is a day when we need to see the half glass of water as neither half full nor half empty, but just a half glass of water. If we maintain flexibility and adaptability as our core means of operating, we can move forward with our projects with an element of detachment and a willingness to shift course or change direction.
Wednesday, June 8th – Too Good To Be – Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, Mercury, Sun. Jupiter sextiles Neptune today and this is a time when we may be filled with good cheer. We can easily buy into any inspiring ideas and encouraging words. We are likely to be feeling good and seeing the world not as a brambles patch but rather as a world of endless opportunities and limitless possibilities. While attitude is a large part of how things unfold for us, it would be wise to keep a hold on our boundless enthusiasm and not get carried away by the euphoria of the moment. The Virgo Moon today trines Pluto and squares both Mercury and the Sun. While we are optimistic and confident, it would be important for us to focus on core issues and look at the fundamentals. If we do not get carried away by the ‘feelgood’ attitude of this day, then we could maintain due diligence and create a healthy balance between our optimism and our scrutiny. That may be a tall order since there could be a liability to have so much going on that we might tend towards glossing over specifics, neglecting details and assuming that everything will work out in the end. This Wednesday is a day for us to engage our confidence and an upbeat attitude. It is important that we not lose sight of the particulars but consider a best practices approach. This is a day when it is essential that we keep our eye on the ball and be willing to take things step by step rather than leaping ahead without looking at the conditions in which we are operating.
Thursday, June 9th – Setting Things Right – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Venus Gemini. Thursday begins with the Virgo Moon trine Mars. If we have gone off, raced forward and not taken care of necessary details, then we could start this day reworking, repairing and making amends to any skip-overs we did yesterday. We start the day with a great deal of energy, looking to be productive and to move things along, all the while that we keep the specifics well in mind. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over fourteen hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Virgo and before entering Libra where it trines Venus, which earlier today exited Taurus and entered Gemini. With Venus exiting its own Sign of Taurus and entering Mercury-ruled Gemini, a Stellium of three or more planets is created in the Mutable Air Sign as Venus joins both Mercury and the Sun in Gemini. We are looking to broaden our social circle. We are now far more interested in having various things going on rather than a singular focus and may find ourselves picking up the pace and juggling a number of different activities. This Thursday begins with us using our energy to be expeditious and productive. Later in the day, we are far more interested in our conversations with other people and contacting friends and loved ones near and far alike.
Friday, June 10th – Roller Coaster – Venus, Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Pluto, Saturn. One thing we should have become especially familiar with over the past couple of years is the volatility of these times. Every time that we assume that things are going a certain way, situations arise that demand our twists and turns, and call into question our basic assumptions regarding what is going on and how things are proceeding. Yes, life has become like a wild roller coaster with its exciting ups and its intense downs, sometimes even feeling like we are being spun all around. While much of this week has been especially pleasant, even to the point of our becoming a little oblivious to true reality as we engaged a la-de-da type of attitude, this Friday could have us feeling antsy at best, confused and disoriented at the worst. Venus squares Neptune today, and we may discover that some of our strongest held beliefs might not be as valid as we once accepted them to be. We may also feel a sense of disillusionment in regard to someone that we could have earlier put on a pedestal. We also have the Moon transiting Libra creating a T-Square [can we say Cardinal Climax redux?], as the Moon opposes Uranus, squares Pluto and conjuncts Saturn. This is one of those days when we might be pushed and pulled in all sorts of directions. With so much energy operating today, we might not know what is up, what is down or what is really going on. And added to the intensity of the day, our clarity is far from perfect. On the contrary, we could buy into various images, presentations and hypes. This is not a day for sheepies, merely following the lead of authority and blindly agreeing with whatever is presented to us. This is a day for us to step away from the giant screen of presentations, take things with a grain of salt and engage, at the least, healthy skepticism or even jaded cynicism. Our responsibilities and other people’s needs may put demands on us and we might have to put our own interests on the back burner. But it is essential that we embrace detachment, both in our thoughts and in our actions. We may need the dust to settle before we can see clearly again.
Saturday, June 11th – Watching the River Rise – Mercury, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Jupiter. Friday night and early Saturday morning has the Libra Moon trine both Mercury and the Sun. Interchanges with other people can be fun events but might also spark some new ideas for us to consider. Although much of Friday could have had us betwixt and between, like being between a rock and a hard place, late Friday and early Saturday allows us far better repartee with people who could shine a light on our confusion. Discussions can be informative and enlightening and can assuage our sense of things in our lives spinning out of control. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over sixteen hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Libra and before moving into Scorpio late in the day. Saturday may be a needed day of rest, especially after the topsy-turvy energy of Friday that might have seemed like a lateral lobotomy or a whack on the side of the head, an unexpected and unappealing shift in the energy from much of the week’s more pleasant pastimes. The latter part of Saturday has the Scorpio Moon trine Neptune and opposed Jupiter. Our intuitive sense could be strengthened and we might realize areas where we have gone overboard earlier in the week. We may be looking at making returns of purchased items and possibly a good Spring cleaning of items that only get in our way and have no productive use for us.
Sunday, June 12th – The New Paradigm – Sun, Mercury, Venus, Uranus, Pluto, Saturn direct. Sunday has the Sun conjunct Mercury, Venus sextile Uranus, the Scorpio Moon sextile Pluto and Saturn turning direct. Today could be a day of awakening, providing us with a sense of the new paradigm whereby things occur not so much from our making things happen as from our being open to receive. Any disillusionment we might have suffered over the past couple of weeks can give way to looking in new directions, connecting with new people. The change that we seek for ourselves is also likely to be seeking us. The sense of serendipity and being in the right place at the right time could open the door to new possibilities and wonderful contacts. We are interested in true meaning and purpose for our lives, no longer interested in the superfluous or the shallow. We may do a good clean-up and clear-out on this Sunday. This day also has Saturn turning direct, ending its retrograde cycle that has gone on since the end of January. Many of the delays and some of the frustrations we might have felt during this Winter and early Spring could start to drop away. It might almost seem as though the starting gate is opening up for us. Having grown internally and given deep thought regarding our individual journey, we can move forward confidently, aware that we have the resources and the stamina to deal with whatever comes our way.
