This week continues a volatile time with wild swings between highs and lows, between passive reactions and proactive thrusts forward. We are not islands unto ourselves but interact with various people in our lives. This week can have us feeling put upon by other people’s needs or demands. We may want to break free and do our own thing and in the process possibly step on other people’s toes.
The more we can find the balance in our lives, the balance between our personal needs and those of the significant people in our lives, the balance between our past patterns and our new ways of operating, the balance between our old identities and the investigation of new aspects of our selves; the more serenity we can achieve during volatile times and the less havoc we are likely to create for ourselves.
There may be starts and stops this week, but it would be important for us to maintain an awareness of the shifts and changes going on and as the old saying goes: roll with the punches.
Not that we are likely to have our lights punched out, but any sense of being limited or restricted by other people could create a buildup of frustration and resentment that we might eventually unleash to our own detriment.
This week ends Spring and begins Summer, a season that holds promise of relaxation, recreation and good times with good friends. We might jump forcefully into Summer seeking to grab all the gusto that we can but let’s not assume that we are going to re-create Summers past.
We are in a paradigm shift and things that were may never occur again. Instead of looking backwards and wishing for the ‘good old days’, old days that are better in remembrance than at their time, now is a time for us to embrace the wonder and magic of new incidents, new events, new people and new experiences.
If we are willing to tie up loose ends, let go of our expectations and enter this Summer with the awe and wonder of what could be, then we can be excited about having our ticket punched for the magical, mystery tour of the paradigm shift.
Monday, June 20th – Variety is the Spice of Life – Sun, Mars, Neptune, Jupiter, Mars Gemini. Monday begins the week with the Aquarius Moon trine the Sun, and square Mars. The Moon then moves into Pisces where it conjuncts Neptune and sextiles Jupiter. We may have various plans for the day, but we might also feel that we are spreading ourselves too thin. This is a great day to get together with a special someone and chat about prospects. It would be wise to avoid investing too much of ourselves, and our monies, on plans or future projects that seem great on the surface but could prove a bottomless pit for expense. As the day progresses, we could feel a little spacey, out of our body and susceptible to the moods and vibrations around us. If it sounds good and speaks of variety we are likely to engage it. Unfortunately, the appearance may not be matched by the reality, so a ‘go slow’ attitude would be suggested, although likely unheeded. Mars moves into Gemini, and we might find that our actions are staccato-like, impulsive with us ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice. We might also become ever more opinionated in the way we see things. We may be unwilling to be receptive listeners, preferring to voice our opinions with added emphasis in order to win our points. We may know what we want to do, but we might not take into account the due diligence of the best way to do it. Today is a far better day for us to test the waters of possibilities rather than commit to anything definitive. We would prefer to go from one thing to another to another today, glossing over things and just alighting before flying off.
Tuesday, June 21st – Here Comes Summer – Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, Venus, Summer Solstice, Sun Cancer. Tuesday has the Pisces Moon sextile Pluto, trine Mercury and square Venus. We may be incredibly astute, able to find the needle in the haystack, but we shouldn’t expect any appreciation or approval from some people. Today is a day when we might want to keep our cards close to our chest, not share our insights and understandings unless we are willing to back up our affirmations and face possible rebuttals. Spring ends and Summer begins today, the longest day of sunlight in the Northern Hemisphere as the Sun enters Cancer. This beginning of Summer also has Mercury square Saturn. We may feel reticent about our needs in contrast to the demands of other people. Relationships could be a little dicey, as everyone might seem to have a chip on their shoulder, assuming that the perennial promise of Summer may be hard to live up to this year. Great expectations for the season could be tainted with anticipations of great disappointments. We may feel enthusiastic and confident one moment, ready to launch forward into new arenas with new plans for ourselves, only to fall back and assume that we are but re-creating our past and engaging the idea of ‘meet the new boss, same as the old boss’.
Wednesday, June 22nd – Racing Ahead with Great Expectations – Mars, Neptune, Sun. This first full day of Summer could be a mixed bag. The Sun trines Neptune and Mars squares Neptune. We may be a little spacey today and we have to be careful to avoid possible accidents, especially around the water. This can be a day when a boating accident or accidents on the water could highlight the local news. We may have good intentions but we might not be totally clear about what to do and how to proceed. Impetuous actions could create severe problems. While we might want to bask in the sun, we have to watch for those parade rainers, people who might be aggravated and irritated and looking to take their frustrations out on someone. Let’s avoid being that someone. We don’t have to be the eternal optimist but neither should we engage a sense of despair. While we may trust our instincts, let’s not leap before we look. We might feel confident in our abilities, have a sense of our manifest destiny but that does not necessarily mean there is clear sailing ahead. We have to be careful of the shoals and the swells. Keeping attentive to what is going on and watching the subtle shifts and changes would allow us to navigate this day effectively and with as little discord as possible. Otherwise, if we are rash and rush forward, we could be racing into a buzzsaw.
Thursday, June 23rd – Throwing Down the Gauntlet – Mars, Lunar T-Square, Sun, Uranus, Pluto. Thursday has the Moon in Aries sextile Mars but the Moon also creates a Cardinal T-Square with the Moon square the Sun in Cancer, conjunct Uranus and square Pluto in Capricorn. We may have all sorts of intentions for this day, a number of different activities that we wish to engage and we could start off with a full head of steam. If that were the only situation going on today, then we could move mountains and move quickly ahead. But that is not the only situation going on today. On the contrary, while we would like to be totally self-determining today, we could run into various issues that block our way. Most of the issues may not be of our making but could be unexpected situations that throw curveballs at us, restrictions caused by conventional standards and other people’s needs. While someone might want to rain on our parade and slow down our process, the best response would be tai chi moves, whereby we are aware of the energies operating and then deal with each and everyone in a way that something might slow us down but nothing stops us from moving ahead.
Friday, June 24th – Slogging Along – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Mercury, Venus. The Cardinal T-Square created by the Moon in Aries yesterday continues on into Friday but with different players involved. Today the Moon opposes Saturn and squares Mercury. Since this is the second day of irritations and frustrations, we have to be careful that we don’t lose our temper or try to move mountains only to suffer backaches or throwing out our back. Things may take longer than we like and we might feel slightly depressed by the slow pace of things, as though we were only slogging along. The Moon does sextile Venus and we could find the evening hours a nice reprieve from the past two work hour days. We might choose to go out, congregate with friends and forget the past two days. Yes, we may be living for the weekend and the weekend is upon us. Alhamdulillah.
Saturday, June 25th – La-de-dah – Sun, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune. Saturday is a day of rest, at least this week’s Saturday is. The Moon is Void-of-Course for much of the day. This Void-of-Course Moon, which began late on Friday, is almost twenty-three hours in length, a period when the Moon makes no connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Aries and before entering Taurus late on this Saturday to sextile Neptune. There is not a great deal of energy occurring, so let’s not try to push things. This Saturday is far better for just enjoying ourselves. Taking a drive out of town, or doing something unfamiliar and just for fun would be a good way to use this day. Relaxation and re-creation are important today. The Sun does sextile Jupiter and we could be feeling more upbeat, optimistic, enjoying ourselves and thankful that we can spend time at home and in the comfort of our own surroundings. This weekend could be a time for family fun and sprucing up our homes. We might feel confident about our abilities but it would be wise to keep a check on our finances, since we could have a tendency to overspend in order to add greater flair to our home, wardrobe or personal appearance. We may be itchy to do something different but we just have to watch the expense involved.
Sunday, June 26th – Reach Out of the Darkness – Sun, Uranus, Jupiter, Pluto. The Sun squares Uranus on this Sunday. We may want to incorporate greater variety into our lives, try out new things and add some splash to our surroundings. We do have to watch for being impetuous and seeking change just for the sake of change. The Moon in Taurus today conjuncts Jupiter, sextiles the Sun and trines Pluto. We could go on something of a spending spree today. We might get involved in home fix-up projects or look to add some accessories to feather our nest. This weekend is far different from Thursday and Friday, but we have to be careful not to try and have too much fun or spend too much to assuage our sense of frustration from the earlier two days.
