We may have greater clarity in thought and better ways to approach our plans this week. Mercury ended its three-week retrograde cycle this past weekend, and some of the mix-ups, delays, misunderstandings and miscommunications during this retrograde cycle can now start to clear away. We may have some areas that we have to go back over, review and rework. But the fog might have lifted, and we can address situations in a far more focused and sharp manner.
The week is largely pleasant when we can connect with good friends and colleagues who may help us fashion our ideas into well-considered plans and detailed strategies to realize our goals. We may be engaging Spring fever with a sense of relief that winter, and the winter of our own personal discontent, may finally be over and the promise of renewal, rebirth and the renaissance of Spring is truly alive and increasingly evident.
We can gain a greater sense of the significant and the most important in our lives. The weekend brings an end to April and the beginning of May. We might have to address outstanding issues to close out the month, but as we step into May we may move into high gear optimistic and confident in launching projects and interests that have our mark and imprint upon them.
This is also a week when we need to keep in mind the advice of ‘carpe diem’, seize the day, for we have a week full of Moon Void-of-Course, those times when the energy dies down. We may have some real highs this week, but also long times of still waters when not much movement can be made. Let’s make the most of the high times, the energetic phases when we can accomplish a lot and get a great deal done. And then lie low, or reflect on what we have done, during the quieter periods.
A lovely week this one can be, but let’s rein in our exuberance and enthusiasm so that with our head in the clouds, we keep the feeling of our feet on the ground.
Monday, April 25th – With a Little Help from Our Friends – Saturn, Mercury. This Monday is not only a day to get by with a little help from our friends. It is a day when we can use other people as important sounding boards, trusted advisors, as we develop our plans to achieve our future goals. We may spend special moments with those significant people in our lives. We might catch up with those we have been meaning to contact but just haven’t had the time, or reconnect with those people with whom we might have had a recent misunderstanding. The Moon today is in Aquarius and the Moon trines Saturn and sextiles Mercury. If we have had difficulty recently in expressing our ideas and our intentions, this Monday allows us to present our thoughts in a clear and focused manner. We can advance our causes without stepping on toes and we may come across in an authoritative but friendly manner. We are looking for win-win situations today, not a win-lose scenario that could only devolve into a lose-lose outcome. This Monday allows us to concentrate on our future but without the impetuousness we might have exhibited earlier in the month. We have reined in our own insistence, taken off the blinders of self-absorption and are now looking at our plans and our intentions in a way that benefits not only ourselves but others as well.
Tuesday, April 26th – It’s a Marvelous Time for a Moon Dance – Mars, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. This Tuesday continues with the euphoria and exuberance we might have felt yesterday. The Moon in Aquarius today sextiles both Mars and Jupiter. We start the day full of beans. We may be quick out of the starting gate, optimistic, confident and ready to implement our future goals. We could be flying high as we start the day. Certainly, we are unlikely to see any impediments to our plans or any stumbling blocks along the way. But we live in a world of waves and although we start the day riding the crest, the Moon then goes Void-of-course for seventeen and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before entering Pisces at the end of this day or early on Wednesday [depending upon where we are on the planet]. The energy dies down. The massive thrust with which we began the day dissipates and we may find that we are left with a far more placid and less energetic time, and possibly a time when we cannot make major moves but rather a marvelous time for a moon dance.
Wednesday, April 27th – Focused Intent – Venus, Pluto, Sun, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. This Wednesday can have us sorting through aspects of our lives, doing an inventory taking and discarding those things that do not measure up to being worthy of our time and our interest. Venus squares Pluto and the Sun trines Pluto today. The Moon is in Pisces and today the Moon conjuncts Neptune, sextiles the Sun and sextiles Pluto. This is a day when we either let go of certain situations or the universe steps in and eliminates the extraneous and the superficial from our lives. We are far more focused today. We are ready to lay down the foundation stones of our future, but we are far more devoted to building upon rock rather than building on sand. We may waver in some of our decision-making today. We do not want to offend anyone and we might find some of our plans are muddied by our emotions. We could easily buy into the concept ‘there but for the grace of god go I’ and as a result engage the dysfunctional or slow ourselves down. No worries though, since if we are unable to let go of the shallow and the superficial, the universe is likely to do so for us. This is a day for us to weed and till our gardens and prepare the soil for our future intentions. We do not have to plant the seeds of our new projects today, but we do have to get rid of those scenarios that could strangle and kill our future ambitions. Not everyone may appreciate our efforts, but we do not have to justify or even explain the rationale of our actions. We may be self-focused today, and some people might accuse us of being self-centered, but this is a day when our concentration is primarily concerned with ‘out with the old’ in order to bring in the new. As the day progresses, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over thirty-three and a half hours making no further connections to the planets until the Moon moves into Aries on Friday. This is a week when we need to follow the ways of surfers, to ride the waves when they swell and crest, other times when we are just sitting on our boards waiting for the next significant wave.
Thursday, April 28th – Hanging Out. This Thursday has very little energy for us to move mountains, much less move ourselves to advance our interests. The Moon in Pisces makes no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Pisces and before entering Aries tomorrow. This day could have us hanging out, but not necessarily hanging out to dry. We may feel moody, even slightly confused as we wonder what we should do or even what we want to do. We can just be hanging out today but we do not have to feel victimized or merely a pawn in a larger master game. This is a good day for contemplation and reflection. We can have a spiritual epiphany today and we might find ourselves mentally wandering down Memory Lane, considering various aspects of our lives to this point. The key to any recapitulation is not to get emotionally involved. If various memories, thoughts of the past, come over us today, it would be wise for us to keep in mind the image of being under a waterfall with the memories, events and incidents of the past washing over our bodies and going downstream. No holding on to the feelings of past sorrows or wonderful memories. Today may be a day of reflection but it would be suggested such reflection be done in a dispassionate and detached manner. Sometimes, certain things buried in our subconscious or filed away in our memory banks need to come up in order for us to let go of their impact upon our present, much less our future.
Friday, April 29th – We Don’t Have to Do it All – Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus. The day begins with the Moon still in Pisces and still Void-of-Course making no connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon moves into Aries today where it conjuncts Uranus. Even if we have been stewing about what we ‘should do’ or ‘ought to do’, and even if we have felt that we have been only hanging out as if we were ‘waiting for Godot’, the Moon moving into Aries allows us to take a proactive approach. The Moon conjuncts Uranus and it reminds us that we don’t have to do it all. Let’s keep in mind that we are on the threshold of a paradigm shift, a major cultural epoch change whereby we move away from the sense of mastering our universe and having control over all the aspects of our lives to a willingness to work with peripheral vision and be open to the universe unfolding. The move is one from assuming being creators of our destiny to becoming co-creators with the natural unfolding. As we make the transition, we are more adept at seeing the magic and miracles of these times, the unexpected situations that give rise to wonderful opportunities.
Saturday, April 30th – What Needs to Be Done – Venus, Saturn, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Mercury. Whenever we go through major changes, the process is one of back and forth. While we try out new ways and new interests, the old ways and old activities come up to challenge us in order to see whether we are attached to the past or encumbered by the old aspects of our lives or whether we can move forward without the same baggage of our past. Although yesterday could have opened up some interesting new situations for us and made us aware that some of our new projects might come about unexpectedly rather than from our own intentions, this Saturday could have us back in the mire of our past. Venus opposes Saturn and the Aries Moon creates a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Pluto, opposes Saturn and conjuncts both Venus and Mercury. Saturday could be a day of errands, attending to our tasks and obligations, and addressing the needs, even demands, of other people. We might feel impeded in our own direction as we have to deal with situations that need to be done. The more we can tie up loose ends today, the less likely we shall be held back tomorrow and in the days ahead. Even if we feel blocked and restricted, let’s deal with the ties that bind by tying them up, dealing with them and moving beyond them.
Sunday, May 1st – Breakneck Speed – Mars, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday is the first day of May and we might be feeling our oats and then some. This Sunday has Mars conjunct Jupiter and the Aries Moon conjunct both Jupiter and Mars before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for fourteen and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before entering Taurus late on Sunday evening, early Monday morning. The potential for overreach, over exuberance and the over of too muches cannot be discounted. We may be quick out of the gate on this May Day, moving at breakneck speed with boundless enthusiasm. Unfortunately, while our speed and determination can be incredibly strong, we might be leaping before we look. The liability towards excess and extravagance could create quite a problem for us in the days and weeks ahead. It would be wise for us to rein in our optimism and confidence and to have some type of game plan before we rush ahead. Nice words of caution but likely to be unheeded, for the energy to start this day, and to begin this month, can be rash and more impetuous than well-considered. Let’s enjoy ourselves, engage our feel good attitude but keep the brakes in mind in order to rein in our tendency towards too much today. As the saying goes: ‘too much of a good thing is too much’.
