This week ratchets up the energy, again. We may be feeling the winter doldrums, but that’s not likely to stop our desire for new adventures and stepping out into new arenas. We’re up for change, for the spontaneous and acting on impulse. We may be tired of the ‘same old, same old’ and now we’re looking for variety and to spice up our lives.
Surprises are in store and whether self-initiated by sampling different activities in our lives or they come knocking on our door, this is a vibrant week with various twists and turns. Yes, serendipity and synchronicity are in the house and providing us a kaleidoscope of wild possibilities.
Although things may not go according to our plan to begin the week, we are probably okay with that, since our plans might have been more of the same rather than a devil may care attitude. We’d prefer the latter and, thus, we could find ourselves easily postponing some of our tasks and responsibilities and doing things on the fly.
It would be wise to keep our ear to the railroad track in order to keep abreast of edicts handed down from on high. People may be power tripping this week, making all sorts of pronouncements and even reading the riot act. But is anybody listening? Does anybody really care?
Perhaps you have noticed an increasing disconnect between the powers-that-be and the individual. People are far more interested in doing their own thing and less concerned about the games people play.
While Tuesday and Wednesday could prove highly intense, this is a week of significant changes and changes that emphasize the individual creative self-expression. We’re looking to our future and seeking ways by which we can put our mark and imprint on our lives. We don’t have to do anything earth-shattering [the earth will take care of that], but we do want to know that we are free to be and able to do our own thing. Happy, happy days.
Monday, January 17th – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – Sun, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter. This day is anything but routine. Even if we are supposed to be doing routine tasks today, we want to do anything other than our routine. The Sun sextiles Uranus and the day begins with the Gemini Moon trine Neptune and square both Uranus and Jupiter. Our focus today is more on what could be than what is. We may feel that we have a broad palette from which to paint, and we are interested in trying out every color on that palette. If something impedes our progress, we are likely to just switch to something else. Getting together with friends or making contact with that person we’ve been meaning to for so long could be far more inspiring than just putting one foot in front of the other. We want to spice up our lives, allow it to be more lively and there is no reason for us not to. The one caveat to this day is to let go of our expectations. Things today may not run true to form. This is a day of the unexpected, some of which are wonderful surprises, others just unanticipated nuisance. But this Monday is one for us to spread our wings and en joy our selves. As the day progresses, the Moon exits Gemini and enters Cancer. After running around in the morning, we might choose some downtime in the sanctity of our home.
Tuesday, January 18th – Popping the Balloon – Mercury, Pluto, Lunar T-Square, Saturn. After yesterday’s revelry, this Tuesday may be a day of catch-up and stepping back into our reality. This day could prove intense with people a little belligerent and a sense of restriction being felt by all concerned. Is it the rising price of gas or food? We may feel pressed to be highly resourceful today, to stretch our monies as best we can. This Tuesday has Mercury conjunct Pluto and the Cancer Moon creating a Cardinal Sign T-Square by the Moon opposed both Mercury and Pluto and the Moon square Saturn. Bad news could be on the horizon or in our faces today. Although our mind can be sharp and incisive, what we discover might not please us. We could also be witness to some outlandish statements or behaviors by the powers-that-be. We are not looking to play the fool today, and we could find our voice to protest any inappropriate actions or decisions. If we become aware that the picture is not as rosy as it has been painted, we could also use this day to plan, budget and determine how resourceful we can be. This is a day when we have the ability to concentrate on the fundamentals and the essentials and then come up with a best practices approach as to how to successfully deal with the hand being dealt. We can cut to the core today, but our charm and diplomacy may go out the window as we choose to be brutally honest and see things for what they really are.
Wednesday, January 19th – You Gotta Believe – Sun, Jupiter, Uranus, Cancer Full Moon, Mars. If we received a wake-up call yesterday, we might have already started to make provisions and plans for how best to address the present circumstances and deal with the likely unfolding of events. This Wednesday could restore our faith, give us greater encouragement that no matter what is going on we have the tools and the determination to effectively handle whatever comes our way. Today is a day to keep in mind the wise saying that ‘we never get more than we can handle’. Besides, we are moving into a new paradigm, a cultural shift whereby we don’t have to do it all but rather that we have to be open to receive and believe in the serendipity and synchronicity of these times. This Wednesday has the Sun sextile Jupiter and the Cancer Full Moon with the Moon opposed the Sun and the Moon trine both Uranus and Jupiter. Late in the day, the Moon moves into Leo where it opposes Mars. Today is a day for us to be certain not to stand in our own way but rather to realize that we do not have to do it all but we do have to be open to the possibilities and even the seemingly impossible. Yes, we are in magic time and, if we believe, we might find ourselves capable of pulling rabbits out of the hat. Not that we are solely interested in doing magic tricks. On the contrary, we are being primed to do our lives a different way, emphasizing our own individual creative self-expression, open to things coming out of the blue and less influenced by the talking heads of traditional power bases. To encourage our faith and our belief in mini-miracles, we might want to make minor, even subtle, changes to our living space or our patterns of behavior. Let’s keep in mind that like a snowball going down a mountain, gaining momentum and then becoming an avalanche, even small changes to our daily routine can eventually trigger more significant changes and even life-altering shifts.
Thursday, January 20th – The Importance of One – Venus, Saturn, Sun Aquarius. The latter part of this week can seem as if we have entered some Magic Kingdom. We may be feeling more self-assertive, self-affirming and in search of our own self-realization. Thursday has the Leo Moon trine Venus and sextile Saturn. Today also has the Sun exiting Capricorn to enter Aquarius where it creates a Stellium of three or more planets in a Sign as the Sun joins Mars and Neptune in the Fixed Air Sign of Aquarius. While we may have slogged through the early part of this year tying up loose ends of last year or just dealing with our daily responsibilities, this Thursday and the forthcoming days could have us more transfixed on our future and our plans of possibilities that are more in keeping with where we want to go rather than where we have been. We may seek out pleasurable activities today, participate in fun events or just contact that special someone or those special people in our lives in order to share our upbeat feelings and to gain encouragement for some of the ideas and plans for our future. We might feel as though we have more time, and more inclination, to consider options and alternatives that we have not been able to address before now. Certainly, our focus is veering towards our future and less reflective of our past. Over the past few weeks, many of us may have been taking a walk down Memory Lane, thinking about our past, doing time in recapitulation of previous experiences. We might now put much of those remembrances behind us as our focus turns to our future rather than our past.
Friday, January 21st – Keeping it Real – Neptune. Friday has the Leo Moon opposed Neptune. Our sense of what we can do versus what we want to do may be at odds. We might feel as though we could conquer our world, but perhaps such a sentiment is more appropriate to the passing paradigm where we thought we had to have total control over our lives and their conditions and that we were the ones to make things happen. If we fall into that old mindset, we could also discover that we are banging our heads against the wall. This day is better served to consider what we might want to do but letting go of the expectations that what we want is what we get. It is essential to keep in mind that we are entering uncharted waters, a timeframe when things occur more in an asequential manner, such as things coming out of the blue, rather than in a linear, sequential progression. Such a reality needs for us to stretch our mind in order to get our thoughts around it. Nothing is impossible, everything is possible, but our assumption that we can make things happen rather than being open to the serendipity is what could get in our way. When we are thinking about our prospects for the future, it is often wise to keep our own counsel, for any changes to ourselves can be threatening to other people, forcing them to consider a necessity of making changes to their own lives. Now is not a time for naysayers. Now is a time for us to consider a wide range of what we could do based upon what we feel ourselves moving towards. The hows, whys and wherefores are irrelevant. The intention is the largest determining factor. We can keep things real but we need not put on blinders, thereby limiting our options. Later in the day, the Moon moves into Virgo. We can take some of our self-creative urges and begin to consider how we might bring them to fruition.
Saturday, January 22nd – Breakout – Pluto, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter Aries. The 22nd is a Master Number in Numerology, representative of the Master Builder. And what great energy configurations we have to converge with this day of the 22nd. Today, the Virgo Moon trines both Pluto and Mercury and the Moon squares Venus. This is also the day that Jupiter exits Pisces and moves into Aries. We could call this a breakout day, a day when we look to truly focus on what is essential in our lives, what speaks to us and see how we can put our mark and imprint on our projects and our activities. We may feel as though we have gotten a transfusion of energy, of self-determination and self-assertiveness. New aspects of ourselves, new interests that we can investigate and develop are calling us. We might have a sense of a renaissance, a rebirth, the feeling that ‘yes, we can’, although more in regard to our own individual, creative self-expression rather than a groupthink. Today is the first day of the rest of our lives, and we might feel a dawning and an awakening. Now is a time for us to throw open the gates and explore and test new aspects of ourselves. Whatever we get involved with, we are no longer interested in the superficial or the shallow. We want to engage things that speak to us and allow us to expand our interests and broaden our realm. It’s breakout time and a time to allow our self-interests free rein to sample this and try out that.
Sunday, January 23rd – Fine Tuning – Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter. Sunday allows for an element of fine tuning our interests. Today, Venus sextiles Saturn and the Virgo Moon opposes both Uranus and Jupiter. We may find that the broad palette of possibilities and prospects are whittled down to a selective few. We may do some of the whittling ourselves, may draw upon the input and suggestions of other people, and some of the whittling down might come about in an unexpected manner whereby we become aware that certain interests just seem too convoluted for us to involve ourselves. Although our focus is on broadening our interests, we are not interested in wasting our time. One of the beauties of these times is the fact that we can get indications in the most unanticipated manner. Curveballs, monkeywrenches and other impediments may virtually come out of the blue to make us aware that a certain activity is just more hassle than it’s worth. In order to decipher what to follow through on and what to bin, we just have to be aware and mindful. Let’s keep in mind that there is an acceleration going on during these times. Things are moving faster than ever before, and if we prolong our energy and our time on any one thing, we might create a backup that can only lead to overload and then overwhelm. Now is a time for to focus, concentrate and fine tune those areas that have some real meaning and serve some significant purpose in our lives. The train is leaving the station and the train is gathering momentum and accelerating its speed. Today is a good to determine those activities that demand too much of us and attend to those areas where we can be more productive and successful.
