Although the week could have a bumpy start, this week may have us racing around, going from one thing to another to yet another. There’s no stopping us now. We are looking at multi-tasking, having several different irons in the fire, and we are virtually in perpetual motion. Life seems like a smorgasbord for us, whereby we are far more interested in tasting a number of different involvements rather than being singularly focused.
Lightheartedness has recaptured our spirit. There’s less intensity, less exacting standards that we are holding other people to. It would seem as if a certain heavy restriction has been lifted from our shoulders. We want to explore, broaden our realm and embrace a sense of freedom, individuality and change. We are fascinated by people and events which are unfamiliar to our normal daily experience.
The early part of the week is a great time to reach out and contact friends and acquaintances, whether it’s with holiday greetings or to make plans for upcoming get-togethers. We do need to avoid a tendency to over schedule ourselves and commit to occasions that are more obligatory than fun.
While we may feel a little scattered early in the week, over the weekend we can become far more focused, creating the right structure and the right staging to put our best foot forward and make a stunning impression. This week allows us to make our plans and our contacts and then to effect those plans in a dramatic and appealing manner.
Monday, November 30th – All Fall Down – Mercury, Uranus, Lunar T-Square, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune. Monday starts the week on a slightly dull yet frenetic note. Mercury squares Uranus, one of my least favorite energy configurations for air travel. Communications can be off, and this is one day when we need to read between the lines in order to see what is truly going on. Appearance and presentations may not mesh with the true reality of the situations. There can be high tech problems, so it is important to be certain that computers are backed up and emails and im’s received. Adding to a sense of frustration is the Taurus Moon, which today creates a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square Mars in Leo and square both Jupiter and Neptune in Aquarius. The Moon does sextile Uranus. This Monday it would be wise for us to keep a tight rein on our monies. It would be far too easy for us to spend without considering the implications or the long-term effects. People may want what they want and might weave some interesting yarns in order to achieve their desires. It is essential not to take anything at face value today. We may be itching to make changes but let’s be certain that we have done due diligence before making any changes, especially those that require a commitment, are costly in time or expense, or demand more of us than we really want to obligate ourselves to. Let’s pull in the reins today, take our time and not buy into what seems to be going on without having done a focused investigation of the situation at hand.
Tuesday, December 1st – Coming and Going – Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Saturn, Uranus direct, Venus Sagittarius. Tuesday may seem like an action-packed day with people coming and going. Things may seem a little convoluted but we can draw upon our intuitive sense and the small voice within to guide us through the ups and downs and turn-arounds that could be part of this Tuesday. Mercury sextiles Neptune and the Taurus Moon opposes Venus before the Moon exits Taurus to enter Gemini where it trines Saturn. Uranus turns direct today ending its five month retrograde cycle, and later in the day Venus exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. With Venus entering Sagittarius we now have a Stellium of three or more planets in Sagittarius as Venus joins the Sun and Mercury in the Jupiter-ruled Mutable Fire Sign. Our thoughts may focus more on possibilities and things further afield than our local terrain. We may want to stretch our wings, broaden our parameters and widen our scope. We do have to be aware and mindful that things may not be as they appear and that things can change dramatically and instantaneously. We might be looking at getting out of Dodge, making plans to travel or just considering an endless list of possibilities. It is still important for us to be conservation-minded, maintain a strict and mindful approach to our finances. Even though media may by hyping that the worst is over, that the recession has ended and that good times are here again, it would be wise for us to keep in mind Yogi Berra’s wise philosophical admonition that ‘it ain’t over ‘til it’s over’. And I would suggest it isn’t over. Although we might want to explore new possibilities, it would be wise to do so first in concept before launching full-scale ahead in new directions. Let’s draw upon our inner knowing, try to maintain detachment and seek clarity in the whirlwind of activity and promos.
Wednesday, December 2nd – Ratcheting Up – Gemini Full Moon, Lunar T-Square, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus. This Wednesday’s Full Moon in Gemini also creates by Sign a Mutable T-Square with the Gemini Moon opposed the Sun and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon also sextiles Mars and trines Jupiter. We may feel as though the world is our oyster and that we have the exuberance and confidence to make things happen and that only good can come of our actions. Can we all say irrational exuberance? Yes, the irrational exuberance that we all became so fond of, even conditioned to, during the 1990’s and 2000’s could be reinforced today. Our wills are strong and we may feel that we have a Midas touch, able to turn everything we touch into gold. Nice concept but it is also a concept that is far beyond true reality. Humility may be called for, especially in light of the fact that our plans may be well conceived but might not be able to take into account unexpected situations or unanticipated variables which could actually throw monkey wrenches into the spokes of our wheels. Today is a day to be adaptable and flexible and not consumed by what we want and how we want it. If we are not open to sudden shifts and changes, then we could be sorely disappointed. Yet, the holiday spirit is upon us and we might easily gloss over what is really going on and buy into our hoped-for expectations.
Thursday, December 3rd – Push, Pulls – Neptune, Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Saturn. Thursday begins with the Gemini Moon trine Neptune and opposed Mercury. We may have grand plans as we start the day, but these plans might be akin to thinking we can accomplish far more than practicality would dictate. Things are always easier in concept than in application and this Thursday could provide us a reality check to that fact. It would be wise for us to prioritize today and not to put too much on our planned activity list. As the day progresses, the Moon moves out of Gemini and enters Cancer where it creates the Cardinal T-Square by the Moon opposed Pluto and square to Saturn. Blocks, delays, frustrations and other people standing in our way could all be part of our experience. We might choose to push forward, focused on our intentions with little regard to its impact or long-term implications. Either we could force our will upon situations or just step back and withdraw from our planned advances. Either way, it would be wise for us to maintain our priority list and to consider how we can best move forward without skipping over details and being sure that we take into account both important particulars and the true meaning of our intended actions.
Friday, December 4th – Over There, Over There – Venus, Saturn. Friday continues with the Cancer Moon and today Venus sextiles Saturn. We might want to reach out to those significant people in our lives that live at a distance. We are interested in contacts that broaden our experience, good sounding boards that can both encourage us and offer us a best practices format by which to realize our goals. This Friday begins a marvelous weekend of socializing, enjoying the company of significant others and looking beyond our usual terrain. If the opportunity arises, let’s widen our horizon, even if we do so from the comfort and sanctity of our home. We might consider getting our home in order for holiday festivities. We may dash off a note or two to special people with whom we haven’t been in contact for a while. This day is certainly one to savor and kicks off a time of fun events and enjoyable pleasures.
Saturday, December 5th – You Gotta Believe – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Venus, Mercury Capricorn. Friday night, early Saturday morning could instill a sense of magic into our lives. Serendipity might touch us as we bump into people and make contacts that seem remarkably synchronistic. Wonderful surprises could occur especially if we embrace the realm of possibilities, even the possibility of the so-called impossible. We may feel full of life over this weekend period, have some startling revelations and just feel more energized, more vibrant and far more alive. It may be the holiday season impacting us, but certainly wondrous incidents can be both appealing and very much within our reach. Friday night, early Saturday morning has the Cancer Moon trine Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo where the Moon sextiles Saturn and trines Venus. It seems as though both Friday night and Saturday night are replete with fun, festive events for us. Let’s seek out those pleasurable activities that put a smile on our face, make us forget about our daily cares and allow us to believe in the magic and miracles that this holiday season often evidences. Mercury moves out of Sagittarius bringing a close to the Stellium of three or more planets in Sagittarius and enters Capricorn. Our thoughts become more focused on how we can best achieve our goals, a best practices approach to create the most appropriate structure from which to realize our ambitions. We do have to be wary of being too serious in thought or heavy in our disposition. Doing so would deflate the magic of this time of year. We can be realistic, yet still believe in miracles, those situations that are beyond our normal parameters of experience.
Sunday, December 6th – Going for the Gold – Sun, Leo. Sunday is often considered a day of rest, but possibly not this Sunday. We may be feeling at the top of our game. The Moon in Leo trines the Sun and conjuncts Mars. We may have a great deal of energy today. We want fun and we want to fully enjoy ourselves. We could spotlight our creativity and certainly want to stand out and stand up. However we express our creativity today, we want to put our own spin on things, put our best foot forward and seem as if we are in fully control of situations. Today is a day for pleasurable pursuits, to enjoy ourselves and appreciate the qualities we have. We may be shining brightly and certainly today is a day to focus on good things and good times. We may be far less serious and perhaps that’s where Sunday comes in as a day for re-creating ourselves, nurturing ourselves and just having a good old time.
