April 6th – 12th

Routine matters can be dealt with at the beginning of the week.  Much of this week revolves around interactions with other people, reunions, get-togethers and social gatherings.

We may take the time to reach out to those people we haven’t been in contact with for a while.  We are likely to feel upbeat, inspired and ready to find the balance between our personal needs and those of the significant people in our lives.

While recent times might have seemed challenging at best, often daunting; this week offers us the opportunity to see the silver lining amidst the clouds, to reflect upon possibilities for our future and to use the encouraging support system of friends and loved ones as sounding boards.  Our mind is sharp.  We are able to discern between the superfluous and the truly important.  This week is a good time for us to blueprint, strategize and concentrate on our springtime plans.

Easter weekend allows us to embrace the concept of rebirth.  Let’s put on our Sunday best with an eye to ridding ourselves of unnecessary obligations.  Eliminating the dross can pave the way for positive changes and a freedom to explore new interests.

Our sense of compassion can be strong and our generous spirit could be fully appreciated.  Like moths drawn to a flame, people may give us laudatory compliments for what we have done for them in the past and they could be ardent supporters of our plans for our future.

Monday, April 6th – Getting Real and Serious – Pluto, Saturn.  We can start the week on solid footing, accomplish a great deal and focus on the truly important in our lives.  We may not want to deal with the details and the specifics but by doing so we can virtually move mountains today.  This Monday has a Virgo Moon trine Pluto and conjunct Saturn.  We have the ability of coming up with a best practices approach to move our interests and our goals forward.  We may feel that we have a lot on our plate today but by prioritizing and taking things step by step we can get more done than we had anticipated.  It is important for us not to resent our mundane concerns or wish to be somewhere other than where we are.  Today is a day to put blinders on, concentrate on the different pieces to the puzzle, all the while that we are strategizing and considering what is truly essential and what is merely distracting fluff.  There is time later in the week to frolic and have fun.  But on this Monday there may be work to be done.  By focusing on our responsibilities, we can deal with them, get them out of the way, in order to enjoy ourselves and interact with friends and loved ones later in the week.

Tuesday, April 7th – Good Ideas but Difficult to Implement – Mercury, Neptune, Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course.  Today allows us to come up with some startling ideas.  Our intuitive sense is turned up severalfold and we have the ability of saying the ‘right’ thing at the right time.  Mercury sextiles Neptune today, and we might want to use other people as our sounding boards to bounce ideas for our future off them.  We might also be making plans with other people so that we can get together and share some fun events with them.  During the wee small hours of the morning, the Virgo Moon opposes both Mars and Uranus in Pisces.  We might feel that we haven’t gotten as much done as we wanted or that certain situations have cropped up that might alter our game plan.  Our sleep could be a little fitful, with anxieties and concerns cropping in, forcing us to take into account possibilities that may be more illusionary than real.  Let’s try to avoid worrying about situations out of our control, and instead consider what needs to be done and make a ‘to do’ list of things we might need to attend to over the next few days.  After all, our schedule may so jam-packed, we might not be able to get to everything we want to, and it would be wise for us to notate some of our ‘to dos’ so that we can deal with them when we have the time to do so.  For much of the day, for eleven and a half hours, the Moon goes Void-of-Course making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Virgo and before entering Libra later in the day.  Monday and Tuesday are good work days but mid-week on could be time spent with friends and concentrating on other people’s issues.

Wednesday, April 8th – Off and Running – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Pluto.  Wednesday has the Moon in Libra creating a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon opposes Venus in Aries and squares Pluto in Capricorn.  Today is one of those days when we want to be active, doing something, virtually anything, and quite possibly engaging in busy work.  We might be focused on other people’s needs but we do have to watch that we don’t commit to too much or get involved in situations that are not of our making or could have us entangled for longer than we would like.  We also have to watch that we are neither trying to please people to our own personal detriment or jumping the gun and fastforwarding without considering the circumstances and the conditions.  If we slow things down, including ourselves, with a continual evaluation and re-evaluation, then we can start things up in a methodical manner.  The key for us is not to participate in mindless activities that could seem good at the outset but lead us on a winding, non-ending and exhausting journey.

Thursday, April 9th – On the Upbeat – Libra Full Moon, Jupiter, Neptune, Mercury Taurus.  Thursday has the Libra Full Moon with the Sun Moon opposition making favorable connections to Jupiter and Neptune.  This can provide a crescendo to the past two weeks which under the Aries New Moon influence has seen us banging our head against walls, various explosions and certainly several headline-grabbing actings out as individuals have gone on their own personal rampage and taken out a number of innocent victims in each episode.  While we have a crescendo today, the Full Moon influence is a more peaceful one.  The Moon trines both Jupiter and Neptune and the Sun will be sextiling both over the next week, the Sun sextile Jupiter tomorrow and the Sun sextile Neptune next Wednesday, the 15th.  The Full Moon allows us to balance our personal needs with those of the significant people in our lives.  We may find that our associations and friendships are enlivening, encouraging and helpful in determining our course of action for the future.  This Thursday also gives us a nice gift with Mercury moving into Taurus creating by Sign a Grand Trine in the Earth Element as the transiting Taurus planet, and later planets, trine Saturn in Virgo and trine Pluto in Capricorn. This Earth Grand Trine continues into mid-July.  Now is a time for us to take seeds in hand — those concepts, projects and desires that we want to develop — and start to plant them in fertile ground.  We have the enthusiasm and the passion to move things ahead, and now we have a best practices approach by which to execute our activities in order to bring them later into true manifestation.  This Thursday can be an upbeat kind of day, but we will need to maintain a balance between our own personal self interests and the interests of other people.

Friday, April 10th – Good Day, Sunshine – Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, Pluto.  Friday could seem somewhat paradoxical.  On the one hand, we have the Sun sextile Jupiter.  We are likely to feel confident, exuberant and ready to broaden our realm, widen our scope.  We may feel as if nothing can stop us and that our optimism will see us through any bumps in the road.  On the other hand, we have the Moon in Scorpio opposed Mercury and sextile Pluto.  Although we might not want to cut away some of the excess or some of the fat, today is a good day to start stripping away the non-essentials and focus on the fundamentals.  Like an accordion, we may feel a tendency to go from an expansionary tone to a contraction phase.  Back and forth, back and forth until perhaps we come to the recognition of the old saying that the cup has to be emptied before it can be filled.  If we can see the need to rid ourselves of certain involvements that no longer work for us, situations that are more demanding than what we get back in return; then we can work with this expansion – contraction rhythm in a way that serves us well.  We can expand our possibilities, all the while making room for them by eliminating outworn or outmoded participations.  Today can be a very positive day, a time when we can get together with friends, share ourselves and our stories with them, but doing so in a way that doesn’t break the bank financially and that reinforces our decisions where to best place our energies and where to let go.

Saturday, April 11th – Clear and Perceptive Thinking – Mercury, Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus Pisces.  The Earth Grand Trine created by Mercury coming into Taurus on Thursday is triggered today by Mercury trine Pluto.  Our mind could be laser-like with an ability to cut to the core, focus on the essentials of a situation and devise a best practices approach.  We can be very clear and perceptive in our thinking today.  We are able to strip away the decorative, the images and the hype and get to the heart of a situation.  No one’s likely to pull the wool over our eyes today.  No, we may be operating with a very sharp mind.  In the process, we could also find some excellent bargains in any shopping forays.  In addition, the Moon in Scorpio sextiles Saturn, squares Jupiter and trines Mars.  This Saturday is a good day to figure things out.  Even if we have to put some of our intended projects on the shelf, let’s see it as putting some things on hold as we concentrate on more important matters.  A good Spring cleaning is in order today, whether we are cleaning our living environment or just clearing some of the clutter out of our way. Today, Venus retrogrades out of Aries and comes back into Pisces.  We may find ourselves less self-focused, more compassionate and looking at how we can be our personal best, being resourceful and clear as to where to put our energies.

Sunday, April 12th – The Spirit is With Us – Uranus, Neptune, Venus.  Sunday starts with the Scorpio Moon which trines both Uranus and Venus in Pisces and squares Neptune in Aquarius.  Our spiritual side may be emphasized today.  In Christian theology, this day is Easter Sunday, celebrating the rising of the Jesus to become the Christ.  This Christian holy day is very much linked to the universal energy of the Vernal Equinox when the Sun exits Pisces and comes into Aries.  Although the Vernal Equinox occurred last month, this day is a celebration of resurrection, rebirth and renewal.  We may find ourselves very much focused on our spiritual energies.  Whether we are churchgoers or not, we may find ourselves reflecting upon our life’s purpose, seeking greater meaning in all that we do.  Gathering with friends and relatives today can be a good time to reflect on past experiences, the good times we’ve enjoyed, and our hopes for the future.  The Scorpio Moon then moves into Sagittarius, and our energies become far more expansive.  We may want to go for a walk or a drive into the country.  We are certainly looking to stretch beyond our normal parameters whether that stretch be a physical journey or the consideration of how we intend to expand our activities.  This Sunday is a good day to embrace the integration of our spiritual and physical aspects of being.
