If we have had difficulties communicating, been misunderstood or found that things are taking far longer than we would like over the past few weeks, this week offers a chance to set things right. Things can go far more smoothly now. We have the ability of creating the right approach to take care of details without losing sight of the big picture. We can now straighten things out, clear the air and not let others place heavy-duty expectations on us.
We may be balancing our responsibilities with new interests. Trying new ways of doing things, exploring activities that fascinate us, and expressing our individuality are all part of this week’s makeup. We just can’t expect everyone to applaud our actions or our decisions.
No matter what other people think, we’re ready to stretch our wings and discover new aspects of ourselves. We are far less sensitive to the needs and restrictions of other people. While some relationships could go through major testing and even blow-ups to the point of closing doors, this is a week for us to cry out to the world: ‘I gotta be me’.
Keep in mind the suspension bridge whereby new interests, new activities are the slats of the bridge that lead us to our future. Now is the time for us to consider the ingredients of our future and test them out. We can go back and forth between old and new until we have created the bridge to the other side.
Monday, February 2nd – Limited Resources – Jupiter, Sun, Venus Aries. Monday starts the week with a feeling that we might not have the capacity – whether that be our energy, our talents or our finances – to bring forward our hopes and wishes into realization. We could find that bills and expenses are running ahead of our revenue stream. We shouldn’t fret however, for one of the great lessons of these times is not to put on blinders and assume that reality is the way we perceive it. It is important that we keep in mind that things can turn on a dime, that the parameters of this moment can change swiftly and dramatically the next moment. If we are feeling a little hard-pressed, as though our back were against the wall, we could get very defensive and self-conscious. Today, the Taurus Moon squares both Jupiter and the Sun in Aquarius. Although we may be feeling like the emperor with no clothes, all of us may be feeling naked unto the world. Yes, we may be feeling squeezed today but we shouldn’t let go of our dreams. Let’s remember the power of the mind and keep focused our intentions without being restricted by how things have to happen. Towards the latter part of the day, Venus exits Pisces and enters Aries. We may be more interested in our own personal interests but in so doing let’s not block other people or their interests from our scope of consideration.
Tuesday, February 3rd – Mothers of Invention – Uranus, Lunar Grand Trine, Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Mars, Venus. Tuesday may not be exactly a Frank Zappa type of Mothers of Invention, but this Tuesday does allow us to be inventive, innovative and testing the waters of new activities all the while that we are adeptly handling our responsibilities. Things can fall into place today. The Taurus Moon is highly active by sextile to Uranus, square Neptune and creating a Grand Trine in the Earth Element as the Taurus Moon trines Saturn in Virgo and trines Mercury and Mars both in Capricorn. This Tuesday is a day when we can get a lot done. We are manifesters extraordinaire today as long as we keep focused and not be overly distracted by mindless diversions or other people’s dramas. We can find a best practices approach today, streamline our operations and be extremely productive with time management on our side. The day allows us to accomplish more than we might anticipate and later in the day when the Moon moves into Gemini and sextiles Venus, we can catch up with friends and share our recent exploits with other people, either in person or on the phone.
Wednesday, February 4th – Brilliant – Jupiter, Mars Aquarius. Like the old nursery rhyme goes, when it’s good, it’s very, very good… Following up on yesterday’s primo energy day, we have Wednesday with the Gemini Moon trine Jupiter, and Mars moving into Aquarius, reinforcing the Stellium of three or more planets in the Fixed Air Sign as Mars moving into Aquarius joins the Sun, Jupiter and Neptune. Our focus may be more ahead than behind, as we look forward to the possibilities of our future. We may find ourselves contacting friends and using them as sounding boards today and we could also experience people encouraging us to do our own thing, to stretch, explore and discover new aspects of ourselves. We are likely to be feeling upbeat especially if we feel that we’ve accomplished a lot yesterday. Despite the gray skies and some bummed-out folk, we can see blue skies and potentials to bring us out of any slump we feel that we’ve been in. Today is a day to let our mind wander, to consider all possibilities, even the seemingly impossible, and to maintain an optimistic attitude with exuberance, enthusiasm and confidence.
Thursday, February 5th – Messing With – Saturn, Uranus, Venus, Pluto, Sun, Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Moon Void-of-Course. Following up on the nursery rhyme of the past two days that when it’s good, it’s very, very good… today and tomorrow could finish the line of that rhyme: when it’s bad, it’s horrid… Not that Thursday and Friday are necessarily all bad. In comparison to Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday could prove vexing and difficult. The Saturn Uranus opposition in play since last November through mid-2010 is exact today. Like walking the balance beam, we have to be very careful today maintaining our balance as we are pulled between old and new, between our responsibilities and our desire for change, between the problems of the past dogging our heels and the impetus to escape from our every day. The Saturn Uranus opposition today is added weight by the Gemini Moon creating a T-Square, squaring both Saturn and Uranus. This Thursday is a day when we may not know whether we’re coming or going, and we might be doing both virtually at the same time. A sense of overwhelm might not be too surprising today. We do need to watch our reactions to situations making their demands on us. Thanks to Venus square Pluto today, we could make things worse by our attitude and our actions. We could be a little too self-absorbed upsetting the applecart of our relationships and also acting impetuously and even explosively. The Moon does trine both the Sun and Neptune. Let’s keep in mind Rudyard Kipling’s poem ‘If’ and try to maintain a level head and keep control of our emotions and our reactions. If we will maintain sight of our future goals, then we can deal with any upsets or frustrations without getting consumed by them. This Thursday, and tomorrow as well, demands that we keep our head about us. Let’s keep in mind the balance beam, even if we feel that we are caught in a metronome of extreme whipsaws. Much of today’s action is likely to occur in the first part of the day for the Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over ten hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before entering its own Sign of Cancer. The energy starts to die down later in the day, but perhaps for only a brief respite.
Friday, February 6th – Rock and a Hard Place – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Venus. Friday has the Cancer Moon creating a Lunar T-Square in the Cardinal Signs as the Moon opposes Pluto and squares Venus. We may feel like any of our actions are no-win actions today. We might have so much on our plate that we are liable to be in a state of overwhelm. And if we lost our cool-headedness yesterday, then today is a day when we may have to make amends. We might need to eat crow today, accept responsibility for our actions, and apologize for overstepping the bounds. Although we might feel as though we are between a rock and a hard place, we do have the energy to deal with extricating ourselves from any messes we have created for ourselves or found ourselves in. It would be wise for us to put ourselves in other people’s position, see the situation from their perspective and then address it accordingly. It is essential that we not become belligerent or so self-absorbed that we try to excuse our misstatements or misdeeds. This Friday is a day to clean up after ourselves, to clear away the debris and to get back on track. We may feel like the wind has been knocked out of our sails, might prefer to hide or pull the covers up over our heads, but the day calls for action, not inaction. Let’s take care of outstanding situations and not allow them to fester.
Saturday, February 7th – Errands and More – Saturn, Uranus, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. The early part of Saturday has the Cancer Moon sextile Saturn, trine Uranus and opposed Mercury. Today is a good day when we can deal with what needs to be done. While we can accomplish various errands, deal with outstanding matters, and get various things out of the way, we may find that we are getting involved in some fix-up projects or starting to think of the coming Spring and looking to make changes within our living space. Today is a great day to be open to possibilities. Let’s take care of our ‘to do’ list but also be open to insights or thoughts of change that we can actually incorporate in an easy and less time-demanding manner. As the day progresses, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over nine and a half hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Cancer and before entering Leo. The energy dies down and it would be wise for us to keep in mind the rhythmic nature of the day with us able to do a great deal early in the day and less so as the day progresses. Some of our evening plans might have to be reconsidered as we seek quiet time or just feel exhausted from the flux of the week.
Sunday, February 8th – Ratcheting Up – Mars, Venus, Jupiter. If we weren’t able to have our fun times last evening, then this Sunday could put an emphasis on having a good time. The Leo Moon today trines Venus and opposes both Mars and Jupiter. We want to enjoy ourselves, and the emphasis is on that which tickles our fancy, whether we do something on our own or other people are involved. If plans are being made with other people, let’s be aware of conflicting opinions with everyone encouraging the others to do their particular thing. We also have to be careful of over indulgence, wanting to blow off steam and looking for extreme recreations. We are also feeling the influence of tomorrow’s Leo Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse, so we could readily go forcefully, quickly into that good night. In other words, we may impulsively act, even rashly, without fully considering the parameters or possible consequences. Our energy may be at full throttle but it would be important to have an itinerary in mind before we thrust into drive. Counting to ten, considering ramifications and then being mindful are important facets in our actions and activities on this Sunday.
